For $30, my haircut was not worth it. It was not faded properly and not what I asked for. I would give it 0 if I could.

Ive been a regular customer at Fountain Square Barber Shop for a little over a year now, and I cant say enough good things about the place. Great atmosphere and theme that carries on the legacy of what barbershops used to be. Friendly barbers who always know how to give you the exact cut you are looking for. Ive been getting cuts from Matthew and Jacob, and theyre top-notch barbers. Great haircut quality and overall experience for the price, highly recommended!

Everyone there is outstanding, and their skills are impeccable. Add more songs to the list. The loop is too short. Theres not nearly enough. Wonderful place.

The atmosphere is great. People walk in, appointment or not, theyre greeted the same, offered a drink, and asked to hang out while someone gets ready to help them. I see Zach every time I go and he is awesome. Very friendly, and knows what hes doing every time.

This is a pretty cool place. The barbers are great. I take my son here and he really enjoys the conversation and jokes. The classic barbers chairs are very cool and remind me of the days when my dad would take me to Larrys barbershop. Plus, you can shoot over to upland or new day afterwards and enjoy a snack and brew.

The barber at chair 1 worked efficiently, but still did a fantastic job executing the style I was going for to a T. I usually pay $25 (including tip), but my old barber moved out of state. I came here for the first time and had no problem paying $30 ($40 with tip) for the service provided.

There are few authentic things in this world & the barbershop @ fountain square is one of them. Sure you could pay a bit less @ Sport clips / great clips spending around 8 minutes watching a screen & get back to your busy life.I prefer to take a minute get a great cut & get a real conversation & connection with the people and events happening in my community. This is where you will see most customers greeted by first name when they cross the threshold & often times pick up on conversation from the previous visit.

I live in the neighborhood and walk my dog past here often. The place is always busy and has a chic vintage barber shop style. But most importantly, these guys are great for the neighborhood! Each time I walk past with my dog they come out and give him a treat. Classic gentlemen, adding so much value to fountain square! Support local shops!

The only reason why this is a four star review and not a five is because of the way I was spoken to and treated on the phone. When I called to schedule an appointment the person I spoke with wasn’t very patient with me. I’m not sure what happened... we all have our days.I decided I would still give them a shot. I wasn’t disappointed. I told Zach I had made the mistake of going to a Great Clips for a cheap cleanup. They had ruined my hair and didn’t do any of what I asked.He was helpful and friendly. He helped with giving me a proper lineup (even though due to the hack job I had was nearly impossible), took my idea into consideration, and did best to give me a proper cut and fade.I will be back in a few weeks after it grows out to continue to fix my hair and get it where it needs to be.I was satisfied with the cut. 😊

It was welcoming and fun. Brittany helped me figure out what to do with my hair and she made it look a lot better than I’d had it. The facility was clean and had a cool, old-time barbershop feel plus a huge Christmas Story style leg lamp.

Eric is my go-to for excellent haircuts. No other barber can do what he can. I cant sing enough praises about his skills. Hes meticulous, diligent, patient, and so gentle. Hell ensure that you leave his chair feeling like a hundred percent. Ive moved away from the area and find other barbers to sorely lack the skills that Eric has. My spouse had their hair cut by Eric as well and was extremely pleased.Ill definitely drop in again anytime I visit Indy!

LOVE IT!!! Had my first classic barber in Albany NY last summer and I wanted to find something similar in Indy. Found it! I wont be going anywhere else...unless I make it back to Albany some day.

TLDR: Their service is top notch, their attention to detail is on point, they are friendly, and I have had a great haircut every single time for the last 3 years.

Interesting place, for sure. I booked with the soonest available person, but ended up getting my haircut by someone else. They have a unique, customer centric approach. If youre waiting and another barber finishes up and doesnt have a client waiting, theyll take you next. Even if you didnt book with them.The place is constantly swept and cleaned. The crew makes a big deal out of saying please and thank you anytime someone answers the phone or cleans up the floor.I did have some small hairs missed on my cut, but not the end of the world. It happens. Cool place though. Definitely stop in.

I was able to schedule my appointment conveniently online, I was in the chair on time, my barber was Ana, I had scheduled a haircut and beard trim and it was the absolute best! My only disappointment was when Ana explained that it was her last day & that she was moving out of town. I will absolutely come back again as it is conveniently located near my office downtown. Hopefully I will approve/love the next haircut as much as I did this one.

The haircut I get here is always phenomenal! The only thing stopping me from giving this a 5 star rating and throughly loving this places is the atmosphere. Real classic looking barbershop with old tunes playing in the background. My baber, Brittani, was quick efficient and was able to tailor my hair to my face based on some photos! Im generally anxious getting my haircut somewhere for the first time but I couldnt be happier with the way it turned out.

There isnt enough good things to say about this place. The barbers are exceptional and worth the price. They will spend around 30-40 minutes per haircut to ensure it is exactly how you want your hair. The price includes a straight razor neck shave which is my favorite part in order to keep the neckline clean. I personally use Quentin and would put him up against anybody. He takes pride in his work and checks in throughout the haircut to ensure he is on target for your request. Conversation is casual but very entertaining. The characters who enter during your time will keep you thoroughly entertained. This place has done well to keep the barbershop feeling alive and well in the Fountain Square area.

Hard to find a good barber during COVID.

I just received my first cut here from Ana and it turned out perfect. She is very nice and accommodating to requests. Definitely book here and enjoy the old school feel of the building and the surroundings. All of the staff is very friendly and the cuts are fairly priced.

Fountain Square Barber Shop was recommended by a colleague and he recommended scheduling with Matthew. I’m very happy I did as I’ve tried other places in or near the downtown area and did not have the best of cuts. Matthew did an outstanding job and I finally found a place and a talented barber/hair stylist I can trust.

Have been coming here regularly for the past 6-7 months, old school barber shop (20s theme). Best fade I have ever had! Appointment only but if you walk in and there happens to be a chair open I havent seen them turn someone down.

Not worth the price!I asked for a skin fade and to “LEAVE THE TOP ALONE!!”I get a skin fade and the guy starts scissoring the top of my head.I asked him to “RAZOR THE EDGES OF MY BEARD!”I get shaved only in the back.I ask him to “SQUARE TRIM MY CHEEKS!”He curve trims them.NOT COMING BACK!!The Dominican Barber will razor shave every surface that gets hit with a 0 guard. I’ve paid them $35 with a $10 tip.The fountain square barber charges $40 standard.
