10/10 recommend. Every race has a different type of hair & ive never seen a black, white, Hispanic, Indian, Asian & ect walk out not looking fresh. I have no idea what to ever do with my hair but crowned barbers do. I got my hair cut somewhere else last minute because of graduation & they just straight up did me dirty.

If you’re looking for a barber shop in Indy then you’ve found the right place and should quit searching, I went in there with my buddy and he got us cleaned up right, he has a passion for being a barber and can do any cut you can probably imagine. Equipment is clean, hell the entire shop was spotless. He owns the shop and treats it like his baby which is what you want from a barber, someone who cares. Super personal and easy going dude and won’t forget about any stray hairs or lines. If you let this man touch you with the clippers he won’t disappoint, best in Indy hands down.

Update to the response given to me from owner:Yes, you are right it was not confirmed and it does state that in the website which is exactly why when we made the first appt on there we texted you to tell you we scheduled online because we never received the confirmation text. However, you told us you did not see our text but that the appt went through and that next time we would just do the same thing... which we did. We scheduled the appt online on the website and even the day of the appt the status remained the same so where else can we contact someone if the website is not responding in a timely manner and text messages or calls do not get returned. Im just saying it is not respectful nor professional to your customers. I believe that no matter how big/small a business is, people should be treated respectfully and that includes returning a call or text when they are letting you know they want to book an appt (especially if your website is not responding as it should). You have to be consistent in what youre telling your customers and what your website is telling us. It should not give me the option for an 8 oclock appt and then you tell me you dont do 8 oclock appts. While we do have other options, its sad because they really did like the haircut you provided. My main reason for posting is in hope that you will take this seriously and consider the improvements that can make you a much better business in the long run.Contacted Steven to make haircut appt he kept saying we had to book online because its the only way it worked for him. So we did. We showed up at our appt time and he wasnt there. We called and texted him but he didnt respond/answer. So after about a half hour of waiting there he texted back saying he overslept. We offered to wait while he got there and he then said no he didnt have time and he didnt know how it let us book that early if he doesnt start cutting until 10, which is not true because a couple weeks ago we booked for the same time and he was there. Even if this were true, it is not the customers fault that his website that hes asking us to use is inaccurate. This is not the first time he has ignored calls or texts but we decided to give him another chance but sadly he is not professional at all. The least you could do if you overslept is offer another appt and keep good communication with your customers. Dont ignore your customers or make them feel as if they have to beg for a haircut. Hope he doesnt treat all his customers this way. Hopefully one day he learns to better communicate and become more professional and please update website for accuracy.

Ran into Zay after a few years of not seeing him, he told me about square up and crowned barber. I used to get my hair cut by him and it was always good. Takes his time usually and gives exactly what you ask for. Everything from basic fades to low tapers to designs and brows. Always been impressed with his skill, so I’m happy to say I’ll be hitting up crowned barber for all my cuts as long as he’s there. His buddy is decent to... lol honestly though... pretty dope little shop. Keep it up. Looking to be the best in Indy, better make that a free gum ball machine by the next time I’m there.
