Cant even begin to express our delight & appreciation! Greg, our Server (the Lead Server @ this location, & should be with his expertise) made sure ours was a very special occasion & memorable experience. We arrived, but didnt reserve the private room. Greg & the manager made it happen! Our 82 year old Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma could relax & enjoy our dinner & visit without the surrounding crowd & noise! We all really enjoyed & appreciate the opportunity to regale in our delayed gift exchange & dining experience. The restaurant was clean, & yes, so were the restrooms (always important when traveling)! The food superb & plentiful! All items refilled so everyone (in the restaurant, not just our family/group) could delight in an array of choices, each one better than the previous. And the service! The manager accommodating our need for space (gift exchange); & the Server! Over-the-top! Greg, the Server, really was amazing & accommodated our needs before we knew we needed anything! All other service staff were professional, efficient, & helpful, but then if Greg trained them, we know why! Effusive, though this may seem, we cannot express what a wonderful day & event this dining experience was from entry, through every tasty bite & even our drive home; eddied with pleasant thoughts, gestures, family interactions, & all enhanced by the professional, efficient & gregarious staff, especially Greg @ East Washington St (Indianapolis) Golden Corral! For the price I would expect the food to be hot. I learned that even tho theres steam coming from the table dont mean its going to be hot. Also our server was very slow it wasnt crowded so I dont know the reason. I understand that its never going to be perfect but I expect full effort.

Pretty decent place, the food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Week days are the best days to go weekends are very busy and they are doing social distancing. Capacity is like 50% or less I’m sure.

Overall the food for the price is solid! Most of the food is a hit, with a couple misses here and there. COVID-19 restrictions are kept well. Service with Brian was AWESOME! Super attentive and very fun! Not at all what I expected considering some of the google and yelp reviews I read. Pleasant surprise! Will be back 😁

First time dining here in ages. Felt very welcome by David at the register when ordering. Cossette was an excellent, friendly server. Restaurant was extremely clean with staff continuously cleaning. Food was excellent and filling! Great staff and excellent dining experience all around! Highly recommend!!!

Due to the covid, they are taking extreme measures to make sure you are having a safe place to eat. Dinner was great. I like them serving you. I always enjoy my time there. The employees are great, the managers are quick to see if everything is up to standards.

Plates, bowls, and cups dirty/unacceptable....food old and not worth eating....tried to management but he had a nasty attitude and barely looked me in the eye....he stated that it is no minimum required of things that need to be put out

Friendly employees, and decent food. Generally not a fan of buffets, so appreciated employees keeping counters clean and ensuring proper food temps.

Very bad. Not able to understand the workers. Very rude workers. supposed to be all can eat but give small proportion of food when asked for steak cut off small proportion size of child and mostly fat. Other food not available. Restroom was very dirty and out of paper products. With the fact that they had just got finished with cleaning but hadnt been cleaned or stocked. Female customer using the male restroom. No cotton candy made and treated rude when asked about receiving some. Was shewed away when asking for service.

The only thing you can expect from a low budget buffet is an okay rating. Depending on the waiter or waitress you have, service can vary. As usual, there are generally children running under foot and using the bar areas without parental supervision. This could be better controlled by management. They have a good variety of meals usually. Best to go during a busy time so things are fresh. Sundays are good in the afternoon time when there are a lot of church folks visiting.

The only reason they are getting 5 stars is their staff. Very friendly and super helpful.Was crazy disappointed they didnt do any brunch hours just switched straight to solid lunch/dinner food. On the weekend no less.We wouldnt of came at all of we knew they didnt have ANY breakfast food whatsoever.Made sure we left the server a decent tip but left highly disappointed. Didnt even eat one solid plate of food because all we had wanted was breakfast. Definitely should tell people when most locations do bunch till 2pm not a hard complete stop at 11 sharp.

This used to be an excellent establishment the manager was very friendly and so are the staff but since COVID-19 it’s really not worth going to a Buffet, you have to pre-order steaks and the staff are serving you which takes forever and just takes the fun out of eating of buffet. Mask are enforced but so many kids are running around it’s hard to keep up with whose not wearing a mask over the buffet of food!

So that the staff is pretty respectful quick on getting and drinks in anything that you needed very quick very respectful the restaurant was clean

The food was good more fresh and always hot than where we were before. Polite staff and inventive service. My only complaint was it was cold and I went to the restroom and my child and husband were getting ice cream i was behind the waitress who was talking about us. Calling us irresponsible parents to forget a childs coat. I smiled and l said i didnt forget his coat we went to get ice cream and pee. She changed her tone and apologized. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves.

Gregory always seems to be there taking care of anything before its an issue and he trains his staff to do the sameClean quiet environment never a wait

This was one of the best Golden Corral I went too in years let me tell you what the cook did I ask for a medium well steak he got me a piece of steak and water to the grill with the steak to make it juicy and Bam I loved it I wish all of the Golden Corral would do this because it take so much better I will always recommend for them to do that instead of just grabbing a dry piece of meat and giving it to you

Staff us very friendly and they never let my drink run dry. Facility is very clean and selection was very good. Management must be very good there as everything was great.

This location is always packed and super busy. What they lack in food taste department they really make up for with personal attention. Some of the servers are a bit extra, but they go the extra mile to make sure your needs are met. The 2 times Ive been to this location, you can definitely tell a lot of the patrons are regulars and are met by name with their favorite servers. Keep up that amazing customer service skill and it will keep it an enjoyable place to go!

The steak guy named Darrice cooks the best steaks in there and deserves a raise!

Went to Golden corral, everything was fairly ok...but i cant understand why the cooks/SERVERS all have attitudes. It is not 1 persons fault that we are put in this situation due to covid. Do not treat us guest as if were all getting on your nerves, if we say A Little More Please or Hows your day been? I would LOVE TO PLATE MY OWN FOOD. But u will NOT throw my food around like Im an animal. It was all good until WERE EATING, BEHOLD HERE COMES OUT A DARN ROACH.....NOPE NOT ME & MINES...GOT TO GO...AND O GOD THE BATHROOMS ARE NEVER EVER CLEANED.. GUESS THATS WHY THE ROACHES...GC, CLEAN UP YOUR ACT, NOW

I didnt like that they fix the food for you. Just give us gloves and sanitizer. Food was good.

The wife and I hadnt been there in a while so we figured wed give it another try. Big mistake! We will NEVER go again. This place is disgusting. The food is terrible, the store looks like its never been cleaned, and its $40 for 2 adults at lunchtime. $40 for disgusting food, ice cream thats like chalky water, flat soft drinks... All around horrible experience. I DONT RECOMMEND EVER EATING HERE.

Charles the waiter is the best is very helpful and is always there especially remembers alot of his customers and what they drink

Actually Visited on 2 occasions 1st time with the Larger of two groups appx. 20 people & 2nd visit only 3 people total with self included. 1st visit the food was really excellent and the service was really good as well. Love it enough to go again a week or so later. Food and service wasnt nearly as good as the 1st. Will go again to see if that 1st visit was a fluke

My 13 year old daughter and I drove to Indianapolis to view the solar eclipse. We stopped at the Washington Street store for lunch and a place to see the eclipse. The food was great the staff was even better. Shay waited on us and really made the experience terrific. Felicia stopped by our table and talked with my daughter. What a wonderful person she is. The entire staff couldnt have done a better job. Thank you to all of them. When we were on our way home my daughter says, we met some really nice people. What a great impression the staff made for the city and the restaurant.

The only thing good today was the waitress. Because he was very nice and friendly. But the food choices suck badly. No food choices really when it was lunch hr. Not very many people in there today either so no reason food shouldnt been full or almost full. Wont be back for a long while. Because of the food deal.

First off, this place is not worth the money. its pretty pricey, especially for dinner with your family! the food is overall not that good, it all tastes plain. the one night we decide to give it another try, they decide to close early. on their door it closed way later. the lady that explained it to us was not empathetic and was rude. not good! don’t recommend

This was one of the worst food experiences I’ve had in a long time, the steak tasted horrible according to my children and when I went up and looked at the grill the meat was grey in color and not from cooking either. I brought my concerns to the manager and he made up excuses why the meat was grey in color but said he’d follow up with the cook and let me know why. I never seen the manager after my complaint. Save yourself a trip to this location they serving meat from before the shut down of COVID-19

GOOD HOMEMADE FOOD AT GREAT PRICES. steak, ham, roast beef, fried chicken, meatloaf, bourbon chicken, fried rice, potatoes, gravies, pies, cakes, cobblers, cookies, fudge, and MUCH MORE. Regardless of your tastes, youll be able to find food youll love. Family friendly, buffet-style, all you can eat dining. I dropped one star because the dishes mostly remain the same from week to week.

Service is always good to great and the staff is friendly. Food is great but occasionally needs improvement. Always had a great experience here.

It was a good day to meet veterans of all kinds. Food was good. Corporation is amazing for still doing this after many many years. Would have been better if server hadnt asked me to move my feet so he could sweep under the table.😏

Came in at 9:20 PM on Friday, 11-15-19, and were told that the place was closed. We drove 30 minutes because the website said 10 PM and the door said 10 PM but the front desk said we were wrong about that. Need to change the information so other customers don’t waste time driving here. (They were still putting steaks on the grill in the background and had people walking around eating)

This place is the worst one I have ever been to. We are white so we had to fill our own drinks and our table wasnt cleared of dirty plates until after we left. Everyone else around us was taken care of. They werent white. And yes, it was obviously a race thing. It was very clear. Avoid this place.

Food was good & fresh! Came in @ a busy time so I took my order to go. The cashier was friendly & patient! She kept a smile even though her manager was freaking out due to 3 bus loads of hungry guests coming in.

They had some good choices and most of all they had turkey and ham on Thanksgiving but some things werent cooked to my liking... All and all good experience...

This is the worst restraunt in Indiana. The employees are incredibly nasty, except for the waitress that had to go back and wash a glass so we could have a clean glass for our drink. The desert bar was basically closed down and there was a rice crispy square with a bite out of it. They were out of the endless Ribs until I took a picture with my watch, then they found some but they were tough and chewy. This place is a lost cause. It would be a great place to put a Golden Corral.

Best buffet on the east side by far. A little on the pricey side. But if you want good quality food and a huge variety, its worth it. We always ask for Charles!!! Hes the best server by far and hasnt let us down yet!!!

Brings back memories of simpler times when people would fight for crab legs and church families would laugh and annoy the rest of restaurant and intimidate the servers. I love lining up for fried chicken only for the church family to egg their children on to stealing the food before I touch it. I love when the lady server stares at me and giggles at things that I say that arent even funny, its not annoying at all when shes giving you looks as youre grossily eating mashed potatoes.

It was great besides the cotton candy machine not working the bread lady being rude not wanting to help anyone and the chocolate fountain not running.

Love the breakfast! And the lunch! Bacon was crispy the way I like it. Juice & milk on the breakfast bar! Fresh fruit! Salad & so much more.

If I could give them 0 stars, it would still be more stars than they deserve.Food was cold, place was nasty and unclean. Bathroom has a swarm of flying bugs.Our server was fantastic, she did everything she could to make our expirence better. The problem here is the lack of decent management.Management here is a joke... not even qualified to manage a urinal at a bar let alone a whole restaurant.

Well I really enjoyed myself along with my girlfriend and her co-worker. We ate till we couldnt eat any more, the fish, biscuit and gravy meatloaf vegetables pancakes eggs sausage, was really great. I love going there, at least 3 to 4 times every 2 to 3 months.

Not a very pleasant experience. Waiter was not happy or friendly. Had to ask our waiter multiple times for a refill. She looked really bothered. When we got up to get seconds she took our forks put them in the dirty cups and got ready to clear the table. Upon seeing us return she was agitated. I understand there was a misunderstanding and she thought we were leaving but seeing that we werent she didnt apologize or offer to clear the items from the table. She just walked away we had to flag her back down so we could get some forks since they keep them at the cash register. The food was ok. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes were the best things there. A few things that I tasted were burnt. The food they were serving was everyday items not a place Id really want to return too. Dont get me started on the bathroom it was gross.

My server lacked luster. She even put another family at our table when my grandson and I went to the bathroom. All the staff was less than enthusiastic. I had to ask for meat even though I was standing there waiting with my plate. The cook did not say anything, he just put meat on my plate when I asked and then waited to see what I was going to do next. It was poor service, but today the food was good.

This Golden Corral in Indiana was great!! A lot of the veggies had pork in it so our server I think his name was Greg he went to the cook (Felicia) himself and she made us some cabbage specially for us without pork. It was a very nice thing to do and it was greatly appreciated!

The selection was great today. Festive food for this time of year. The food bar and the floors were very clean. The workers kept the food bar supplied well, my server was sweet and had a lovely smile and checked back with me to see if I needed anything else.

Dave made this place great! I give all 5 stars to Dave! He was on top of getting our party of 9 drink and every thing we needed. The table was always clean and he wasnt even in the way he was amazing! Oh and the food was good too.

Food was hot and lots of it. We went after church (and you know how many people and hectic that can be). Waiter Charles was attentive but didnt hover. Got seated right away.

Food was ok. Selection was ok. PRICEY for the quality. Poor appearance in general. Service was above average. Took 2 kids who barely ate, 4 adults- 2 of which were seniors and ate little. Paid over $90 bucks w/o tip. So six people, $15 per person. If it wouldve been 6 teenagers, mightve been worth it.

Awful... Dont stop here. Women bathroom backed up toilets. Cold corn on the cob. Cold corn bread, cold rice. Dirty. My husband, I have already been sick on the way home to New Albany. Ill be calling the board of health tomorrow. My husband told the manager who stated would tell the kitchen manager. Never see him do that. Was more concern with getting tables for a group of 10 instead of caring for his other customers.

Place was a mess!!! Breakfast buffet had Warm juice, warm milk and slimy scrambled eggs. Waiter running around complaining about a waitress from the day before to everyone who would listen. Wait staff looked like they were mad you showed up. And the place was filthy

Food was good and they had quite a great variety to choose from. Our waitress was excellent. She was right there with everything that we might need. And she was always checking on us. The earlier in the day you go the better it is and it is less crowded.

Will be great when opened for self service?

The restaurant is on highway 40 Washington Street. Just a few miles east of interstate 465 on the east side of Indianapolis. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had to ask where spoons were, then the staff person showed me. The server for the table kept the drinks coming and used plates cleared off.

Took my family of 10 to have my sons birthday dinner 8/13. Cashier was a little rude but our service from our server Marcus was amazing. Good was great. Very clean environment. Definitely plan on coming back in thr near future!

Food not good, service ok, environment is not clean and very uninviting. This location is desperate need of a remodel. The silverware looked like it was barley washed and the drinks were watered down. Save your money and go to Texas roadhouse its not be buffet but its much better food and service for the same price or less. What good is a buffet if everything is nasty! I will not be returning to this place.

Not like it used to be. The location doesnt even look like what is portrayed in the photo.Only thing I can vouch for at this point is the salad. The breakfast is not that good at all and we used to come here all the time.May be time for new items, without PORK or either close it down and bring in a new black owned and operated business for the community to help

The last time I went the food was good, but they were busy so it seemed as tho we all felt rushed so others could have a place to sit, this wasnt really recent, but still. We pay for a buffet, expect a table full of people to take their time to enjoy the food they paid for. I remember we hen buffet prices werent as high and people could take their time and enjoy their company and atmosphere while having a meal with family and friends they dont see that often! If yall are busy enough that there us actually a wait (which wasnt that way when we arrived, but went from early evening to early dinner rush) you should appreciate the business and that people are coming to your location. Like I said it wasnt recent that this happened, but still been within the year or so. Sorry took so long to review. Maybe next time well try to come a little earlier than last time.

They did a great job cleaning off our table and refilling my boyfriends drink. I sat there for 20 minutes with an empty glass. We finally got someones attention, shortly before we left. And, there was a chicken foot in the fried chicken. That made me laugh, because it was so random, but I dont think it should have been there. Other than that the food was great. Speaking of chicken...chicken and noodles would have been a great find in the buffet on a Sunday afternoon. 😊

I thought this was a good meal. Its not top tier food but what buffet is? There is a good selection and everything I ate was good. The service was good.I would definitely eat here again when I am craving a buffet.

A friend took me. We just wanted to sit and talk. She is a very hard worker and to be able ti steele a second. Is a great thing. Golden Corral is the perfect place for that. We had a great fellowship together. The food was on point. I was to full to enjoy any deserts. LOL

Our Golden Corral shut down because taxes werent paid. But as I can see, there are still some of these amazing places around. One of my favorite places to go and get food was Golden Corral. But sadly we dont have any Golden Corrals around here.
