My mom and I came in this evening in search of dresses for my brothers wedding. We have been to Davids many times before. However, this time was the best service we have ever had. We were assisted by Lorelei. She was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond for both my mother and I. We can be a handful 😏. She was knowledgeable, quick, and so much fun. I have never bought a dress on the right on the spot before and tonight I sure did. I 10/10 recommend and If you do go tell Lorelei Sue and Melissa sent you 😉

I would caution anyone purchasing from this store to make sure you want the dress and that you will be okay with technically a no return policy. After 9/1/20, the return policy changed to 7 days after purchase for a full refund. It does not matter if your dress is backordered due to COVID and you do not have it for 45 days after purchase, it goes by the 7 days. Otherwise it is an exchange only. I purchased a $1000 dress and I am stuck with it even though it is still in the box they shipped it in with no alterations. I will not recommend this store to anyone.

Homecoming Experience. We made an appointment to look for short dresses and long dresses for Homecoming Court. Lorelai was our staff member. She was attentive, funny, caring, fully attentive and really listened to what our daughter was searching for. Best dress experience weve had in years. Highly recommend asking for Lorelai. We came for my bridesmaids and Jordan at the independence location was a GODDESS. She helped us with styles, colors, and even wrote them out so my scatter brained self could remember. I have had previous experiences with David’s bridal that were very poor but she rocked this appointment. I couldn’t have come to a conclusion without her help! Thank you so much Jordan!

If I could give a 0 star review I would. I got there and was greeted very nicely but the stylist that I had was not good. She barely said two words the entire appointment and did not once ask what style or color that I was looking for. Once I had a dress on with the clips I went to go back into the dressing room and she pulled on the dress to stop me and grabbed the clip from the back. Did not say one word just grabbed me and stopped me. After I tried on the very first dress, she disappeared and I didn’t see her the rest on the hour appointment.

Mary took great care of our granddaughter, as did the rest of the staff on her dress pick try out. Great selection and tons of mirrors. We were glad to purchase the winning wedding dress per our granddaughters desire and the they made her feel & look in it.

I worked with Meghan A. at the Independence location and she was amazing. She made me feel like no matter how long I wanted to take I was making the right decision. She was extremely helpful in helping me find the perfect pieces to compliment my dress 10/10 would recommend working with her! Loved my dress and so excited for the day!

So here’s the thing, I support businesses requiring masks. I’m totally okay with wearing one. BUT you need to post it. I walk in not wearing one because there is no sign.So I ask. And the lady behind the register says yes it’s required by Jackson county. So Independence is NOT covered under the Jackson county mandate because independence has its own health department that already said it was up to individual businesses and individual people if masks were required in stores or for their own person. (You can look this up) but she also said the store couldn’t post signs because of the city?This isn’t true. If as a store you want to require masks, please do. But please post signs. Those of us with severe anxiety do not like feeling like we’re doing something wrong when we are not because there is no sign saying we need to do something.If beauty brands can post a sign so can you.

When I had questions about my bridesmaids’ dresses, Jordan K went out of her way to answer all my inquiries and make sure I felt good about my decision. She was so sweet, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the fabrics, colors, and the timing of ordering the dresses. This was a great experience and I would recommend this location to anyone!!

I had previously went to Davids Bridal and was not pleased with my experience. I decided to give them another chance and was very glad that I did! I worked with Jordan and she took in to consideration my time frame (which was very short) and didnt let me try on anything that they wouldnt be able to get in time in the size/color I needed. She didnt want me to fall in love with something that wasnt possible. I would definitely recommend checking them out and I would be happy to use them again in the future, if I should ever need!

This was our third encounter at a Davids Bridal and I have to say it was probably the best one yet! We came in for just one bridesmaid to try on dresses while she was in town for a visit and the staff were friendly and bubbly throughout our time there. We felt well cared for and our bridesmaid was able to quickly make her decision on dress style thanks to our stylists assistance. I would highly recommend this location to anyone in the metro area!

Just yesterday my best friend and I made a trip for my bridesmaid dress for her wedding and her maid of honor dress for mine. Absolutely loved Mother Mary and TJ for taking the time to help us. We even got the dress I had been eyeing on the website in my size and the color needed!! Im excited to be making another few trips over the next several months to see these ladies!!!!

Mother Mary was my assistant today and I got the dress of my dreams with shoes and all for under my budget. She was so kind and fun it makes me want to order dresses everyday! She even helped us find the perfect place to get my grooms suit! All in all today was a magical day all that a bride could want!

Have had a great experience! Found a dress for the grandmother of the bride and they were able to alter it in time to meet our deadline for leaving town. They even got it done early! We had to have almost a foot taken off the length and they made a beautiful scarf/wrap instead of just getting rid of the extra fabric.Cant wait to see it in pictures!

Worst experience I’ve ever had as a bridesmaid. I’ve had to come back 3 times to get the dress re altered and it still isn’t done correctly but we are out of time for the wedding. The 1st alteration they didn’t even touch the dress and it had to be re pinned. David’s Bridal had the dress for 2 1/2 months and I paid $130 for the dress to come out this way is extremely disappointing.Do not alter anything here. I wish I would have stuck to a mom and pop alteration shop, it would have been done faster and probably paid less.Im getting married next year and we ordered bridesmaids dresses from Birdy Grey, they have great customer service, better prices and styles.

If you visit the Independence, MO, location, I hope your stylist is Mother Mary. What a wonderful experience. Logical, down-to-earth, and understanding that not all moms can afford high dollar dresses. She saved the best for last and my daughter knew it was the one the minute she put it on. Our whole group had fun, felt welcome, and found just the right thing at a reasonable price.

Zach, Drew, and the other associates at the Independence store were absolutely great. I had some particular requests and concerns, and they walked through them with me until the very end during my alterations experience. Extremely happy with the work and everyone’s positive attitudes even though I know they were swamped and had limited staff at times.

Today I went in to get a dress for my Homecoming Dance thats coming up at my school, I had an AMAZING experience! Both TJ and Jordan where so helpful with finding my perfect dress and listened to everything I wanted in a dress. I ended up leaving with a completely different dress then what I had in mind and I love it! I do recommend going here for the perfect dress, I know I’ll be coming back in for my Senior prom 🖤

After purchasing my dress I awaited its arrival. I get a call today saying it had been there for a week and they only hold for 2. I had not received a call saying it had arrived. I then rushed there to pick it up. When I got home I opened the dress bag to find it was the wrong dress. I called and went all the way back to the store. She called to ask how this should be handled. I waited and waited. Finally she said she could do an exchange. She said that unfortunately the dress I wanted was 100$ more. So not only did they waist an hour of my time, make a HUGE mistake, but they were also asking for more money. I personally think that this store didn’t handle this situation correctly. This was not like they ordered me the wrong pillow cases.. it’s a WEDDING DRESS. I am very upset with the company and will be taking my business for bridesmaid dresses, tuxes, flower girl dresses, mothers dress, veil, and more elsewhere. Obviously the customer is undervalued here.

Such an amazing experience at this location! The atmosphere is warm and inviting & every single person at this location was kind and courteous. Finding the perfect dress can be quite challenging but I enjoyed every bit of my experience. They helped me find a gorgeous dress that compliments my body & I made great memories here! The ladies working in the store Monday, July 5th were awesome!! Very helpful and tentative towards my needs... the problem was that everything I wanted only came in small sizes. I actually picked my dress out within the first 5 minutes of being in the store but the biggest size available was an 8. I’m a size 18 and I couldn’t find anything cute, sexy or affordable in my size!

I went in for an exchange, and only needed an alteration! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Lorelei and Zach were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend.

I took my dress to David’s bridal to fix the alteration disaster that another place did to my dress. The previous place put a snag in my dress, left sloppy hems, uneven sleeves, and messed up the zipper.Even though the dress wasn’t from them, and it was a mess, the seamstress was so kind, encouraging, and worked so well with me on the solution. Today was my second appointment to get the dress fixed, and next time I go in it should be complete.Highly recommend, even if your dress isn’t from them. The staff is professional, friendly, and some of the best customer service I have had in a long time.Thank you for saving the day David’s Bridal!

I bought my wedding dress in Davids Bridal in Independence Store in April 21. The staff are so nice. Marry helped me to find a wonderful dress. Maggi altered my dress and she did a great job. I am very thankful Marry and Maggi and the staff who helped me have a wonderful wedding dress. I love my dress and am so happy and lucky to buy at this store.

Went to get a bridesmaid dress for my brothers wedding and the process was painless! The ladies were very nice and Lorelei was great! She was friendly, helpful and even saved me some money when checking out! I’ll definitely be back for my own wedding dress/bridesmaid dresses!

It took me three visits to find my dress. I never felt pressured to hurry or make a decision. Mary helped me two of the three times. She was clever and funny. She gave her opinion and made it pleasant.

Zack was so patient and did a great job. He took his time during not only the MOB fitting but my daughters wedding dress too. Zack made sure to make sure we understood each step of the fitting process, that both of us were satisfied with how he made the corrections that were most flattering. Zack was an absolute doll during the whole process.

Loralai (I probably spelt her name wrong) was an amazing assistant. She was so friendly and upbeat and made the whole experience so pleasant. If everyone had such awesome positive attitudes and great customer service like the Independence David’s Bridal, the world would be a much happier place! Jordan was such a great help and calming person when any stress would occur. We had one person 30 minutes late to our fittings for alterations and they were like it’s totally ok no big deal. Maggie, I think was the other lady helping us and you could totally tell she knew her stuff and what exactly needed to be done with the dresses. I also give all the staff major props for working on the 4th of July and not being a bit upset about it, as I was surprised they were even open. Megan, who I coordinated with to make these last minute appointments was very helpful and kind. I would say this whole store needs a raise and extra holiday pay!!!!! 👏🏻💯

My plan was to only look but I walked out having tried on the 2 dresses that I had marked as Favs on the website. Manager n associate were more than helpful! I will be going back to make my final purchase for my wedding in the Spring.Update...2 days later, I tried on 5 more dresses from my updated favs list (they were all available in-store) and with the help of the associate, bought my entire wedding attire. I felt n looked like a queen! I rang the bell stating I found the one and said yes to the dress! (All for under $500.00 🤗) I cannot wait for our special day!

We went to Davids Bridal in Independence, looking for a last minute prom dress. Allie was wonderful. She was patient and honest and very attentive to what we needed and were looking for. There was a large selection of beautiful dresses in many sizes. And Allie offered to call other stores to see if they had more inventory in what we liked. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices in that they were quite reasonable. Allie also offered us a coupon for signing up to be a member of he Davids Bridal club. 5 🌟!!!

I went to David’s Bridal July 19th 2021. I had booked an appointment at 1:30pm on a Monday. This was my first dress appointment ever. I was looking forward to having a good time. It was just my mother and I and the experience was horrible. My consultant was Mary. I had several problems on the way they treated me. One being that they left me in a dress for 30 mins while I waited for her to come back because she was busy with another bride. I booked an appointment to have a one on one not for someone to just leave me to figure it out on my own. They had told me sorry that they over booked but honestly no excuses. After that they had said more walk-in have came in and prioritize a walk-in over an appointment. I can understand to a certain degree of patience however employees saw me standing there and completely ignored me. I will not be coming back ever again and do not suggest going here.

I went in for an alteration appointment today, and Lizzy was absolutely fantastic! She was very patient and thorough throughout my appointment, and I feel confident that my dress is going to come back fitting perfectly.

Returned a dress that went very smoothly.Tried more dresses on and Mother Mary was awesome. She popped a squat while waiting and gave me honest feedback when I came out. Helped me out of my dresses, even with the tiny help of just doing the zipper. I was at a DB in West Palm Beach, FL, and I was lucky if she even came around to see if I needed anything. Everyone needs honest feedback. She was great to work with and completed had my back.

As soon as I walking in with my mother in law and bridesmaid to look at bridesmaid dresses we were created by a sweet girl at the front desk. As she was walking over to show us where to look for dresses, another girl with a pixie shirt haircut and glasses got right in my face and interrupted the hostess and said to me “we don’t allow outside drinks in the store, you need to take that to the front or throw it away”. It was extremely rude and you don’t talk to customers like that! When we left we weren’t greeted or thanks for coming or anything. I’ll never go back.

I went to David’s Bridal in Independence this weekend to find my dress. It was my first appointment and was pretty nervous to try on dresses. Mary, aka Mother Mary, was a huge help! She was hilarious, and helped me feel right at ease and got me excited to try on dresses. I love that she took time to get to know me and my party. She got a true understanding of what I was looking for, and in the end I said yes the the dress!

First let me say the dress is gorgeous. BUT.....the lady put me in a dress that was 2 sizes two big as we all know they go up by 2s so it was actually 4 numbers two big and she said she didnt have a smaller size on the rack so they would just alter it instead of ordering a smaller size. What she didnt tell me is that they would charge me $250.00 to take it in that much!!!!! Why couldnt you just order a smaller size?? Then when I went to try it on from the alteration, the dress still didnt fit!!!! I am 17 days from my wedding and the dress still doesnt fit!!!!! Spending $1500 on a dress and then $250 for alterations that probably wouldnt have needed to be made if the lazy woman would have just ordered me the right size in the first place probably would have gotten them 5 stars because everyone is nice up there but just not knowing how to fit someone in a dress. SMH

My maid of honor bought a dress from here and the dress they sent her was TOTALLY DIFFERENT than the dress she tried. The zipper was broken and the size was wrong. She’s now had to spend $230 on alterations on something THEY messed up. When we called to talk to them the lady was EXTREMELY RUDE and dismissive to us and said there’s nothing she could do for their mess up.

I had a good experience in alterations. Everyone was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

I returned to outfit my other daughters for my son’s upcoming wedding and this time Kiyah helped us find what we were looking for. She was very friendly and personable. We found exactly what we needed and even some accessories too! TJ was also a delight as she walked through the store visiting and helping other customers. I will keep coming to David’s Bridal whenever a need for formalwear arises.

Overall, I had a pretty great experience trying on wedding dresses for the first time. Setting up the appointment was easy enough and the reminders were helpful, but not excessive. Mary was outstanding. She took my budget, style, and preferences to heart and provided me with the best options available. She was a great communicator and her sense of humor calmed my nerves. Although the store did not have the exact style of dress in my price range, Mary did a fabulous job getting me to see the possibilities available to me! If I were to go again, I would definitely request her!
