Got in and out without much of a wait. The stylish was very personable and good at her job. We had a really nice conversation about everything under the sun. Where I didnt even realize she was done. I told her what I wanted done and never had to tell her again.The cut and beard trim look great! Getting a good cut is hard enough now days. But finding someone that listens does a great job and that can hold a conversation is harder to find these days.

Walked out. Was told 15-20 minutes when arrived. Watched board click down to on deck. It was then reset to 20 min again. Been going there since opening 10 years ago. Dont like how I was talked to by Brenda or Tiffany. I guess Tiffany wont miss the 10 dollar tip I usually give her. Plenty of others to cut hair. And plenty of places that will treat customers right.

Ive been going here over ten years and have had to change stylists, as they leave, and have never had a bad haircut. I can count on this location for quality work.

Stylists like to cherry pick customers.Had an online check in but when I arrived nobody took my name, but were taking others names as they arrived for their reserved appointments. When I noticed I was being pushed back on the board to eventual cancellation, I confronted one of the stylists, who proceeded to blame me for not getting their attention to give them my name.I have been going to this location for years and and not once have dealt with this issue until now. They even ran down the list of customers and marked me as not arrived without checking the waiting area first.The stylist was very condescending, which made for an uncomfortable experience and I dont think Ill be back to this location for some time.

Would of been 5 stars the stylist Tiffany was AWESOME attentive and personable genuinely cared asked questions gave her recommendations and did an amazing jobI took a star away for the check in . I hot there 10 minutes early waited in my truck then I got a text that the stylist was ready I go in they checked me In and said they will be right with me .I didnt get called back for over 15 minutes .it kind of makes the online check in useless

Careful, non-rushed attention by barber-stylist to customers wishes - along withsage advice - when requested.The highlight is a soothing massage-shampoo preceded by a hot-towel facial and a cooling rinse before the blow dry and styling. What a good feeling to amply reward the artist with a well-earned tip. Brenda is the BEST 😊

Definitely not the place for Beard trims. The stylist said no problem when I described to her what I wanted and then asked me five times for advice on how to trim my beard.

Quick work today, funny and professional staff. In and out in 25 minutes. If you can avoid the product hard sell, you can get out for around 25 bucks. They keep it really, really clean. New self check in and big screen TVs are a nice feature.

Tried to make a first available haircut appointment online at the Blue Springs & Lee’s Summit locations before trying the Independence location, but after checking in I was advised to wait outside. After waiting approximately 20-25 minutes after my scheduled appointment at these locations on separate instances, other customers would walk in and be immediately seated for a cut. I departed each one of these locations and decided to make a direct appointment with the last stylist who cut my hair at the Independence location before the COVID19 shutdown, named Jessi. When I checked in for my appointment with Jessi, I was again advised to wait outside and Jessi would be available in just a few minutes. Jessi came out to meet me and advised she was on clean up duty and would not be available to cut my hair, but someone else would be available to cut my hair soon. I would be next. After waiting 35 minutes and 3 customers going before me, I gave up and left. Never got my haircut. Will never return. I felt disappointed and discriminated. I am 60 and believe it was an age discrimination situation. So weird and sad. I then went to the barber academy in Lee’s Summit and got a great cut for a fantastic price. The barber academy employees and students were nice, professional and highly accommodating.

They usually do a fine job, but once in a while I feel like they rush your haircut and MVP a little, like an assembly line. Also, even though they put notes into the system about your haircut, the end result can vary widely depending on who does it. One persons finger length can be greatly different than anothers.

Was my first time going to sport clips. She was going as fast as she could. Got hair all over my shoes and in my shirt. They do not shave your neck or vacuum hair off you. Don’t be fooled by the head and shoulder massage they are under one minute. Felt as if she was rushing me out the door and pushing product. Will definitely be sticking with the Barber

After several months of Amy D, the manager of this location, cutting my hair and doing a decent job she butchered my hair completely against what I’d requested.I did a very thorough job of stating what I wanted and she did not listen.She talks so much and so rapidly at all times, that during my haircut she got distracted and was just doing it the way she wanted to.What made me extremely angry after I expressed my displeasure at my new ruined haircut was her inability to accept that she screwed up!!She blamed ME!!She has zero ability to accept criticism or feedback about making mistakes.When I requested that she simply comp me one haircut to make up for my absolute dismay of my destroyed hair, she adamantly refused to do so.She is not professional in her approach to dealing with conflict and has no skill set to handle an unhappy customer.I would advise anyone who is considering Amy D as a hairstylist to seek out another gal to cut their hair unless you want a non stop talker who is incapable of listening and following directions.

I checked in on the app when I arrived at the Valley View Parkway location in Independence, MO with a posted wait time of 20 minutes, meaning I would need to present at 5:09 pm. I checked in with a worker then left for fifteen minutes returning at 5:07 pm. The board still read 20 minute wait by my name. I waited outside for an additional 30 minutes before I left frustrated, angry and covered in sweat from having to wait outside. Meanwhile, inside the store, were workers moving about slowly, laughing and fooling around. Perhaps Great Clips understands customer service.

It’s been some years since I’ve visited Sport Clips, but I must say, my experience was excellent from staff to finish. My stylist, Jackie (Jaclyn) *spelling*, was very prompt to greet me, very personable, and did an amazing job on both my beard and hair. I enjoyed my experience with her as the stylist and the location. I’ll be back here again!

Nice check in process. Decent price. Variable skill of stylists. Works ok if you find one you like but they tend to move on. Im currently on my third one in 15 months.

Always have to wait in line for an hour because they don’t take reservations. I stopped by today in the middle of a Monday because it didn’t seem as busy and after the three people in front of me got called up I still waited over 15 minutes all while one of the employees was unpacking boxes of product with me sitting there waiting so I just left after 35 minutes of waiting in total without getting my hair cut. It’s good for business that they’re that busy but I am going to have to go elsewhere from now on.

Service was good. The girls that did my kids hair were exceptionally patient with a narcotic mom that wanted it precisely a certain way but had a hard time vocalizing it . Morgan was my sons hair stylist and we went back and forth about little things like me saying it needs to be shorter and not there here ... Drive her bonkers Im sure but she got it and was patient with me and after all was said and done my kid got exactly what we wanted. So for that kudos to you with the patience and knowledge as well as understanding. As far as my daughters girl .. She was really sweet and even stated if anything looks a little in even by chance when it dries bring her back and Ill take care of it. My daughters hair is a challenge so that was perfect to hear. My husband went in today to get his haircut. He gets it done at this location every two, two and a half weeks.Usually, the haircut is fine. But today was a different story. The girl completely destroyed his hair. He specifically asked her to fade to the top. Their stylists should have been able to do it as theyve done it before. Ive included a picture that shows what she did to his hair. He cant fix what she did without completely shaving his head. Theres a clear cut part on his head now because of how she did it, NOT faded at all. Im livid because he spent money on a crappy haircut that he cant fix! Hes talking about travelling even further to make sure his hair is cut correctly. This is unacceptable.

I typically dont get much time for my haircut. I try to check in online so I can get in quickly, but it wouldnt let me because there was no wait time. So, I went over to get my haircut. The wait time was 13 minutes when I checked in at 10:55, and I had to walk out without my haircut at 11:35. Ive never had that much wait time there.

The positive was that the establishment was very clean and new looking and the person who greeted me was friendly. On the negative side, the stylist was poor. The massage bad enough to the point where I had rug burn on both of my temples from the towel for a week. The stylist was obviously rushing during the haircut as she was not gentle with the comb or clippers also and the final result was just bad. After the haircut, they are pushing product harder than I have ever experienced which is another turn off for me. I do not recommend this place.

Terrible! I dont advise this location to anyone! They used to be a great place to go. The first complaint a man cut his hair and talked my teenage son into a more expensive cut, without consulting me. The next time this lady told my teenage son he had extreme flakiness and not to use any products including shampoo he has at home. (really?) He doesnt have one flake on his head. They are trying to push their products by lying to you and hiking up the prices. She claimed it would only be a couple of dollars higher to put a special product on his hair. His $19 haircut turned into $30. I refused to pay it until they knocked the price back down. I complained to a manager. The next time we came in, we got dirty looks and they were extremely rude. We wont go back.

This place use to be great. I just got back home to check out their work. The last 3 times I have been there they have done a terrible job. They leave parts untouched and you can see the layers when they try to fade. This is the second time I have had to have WALMART fix it.

Friendly staff and honestly actually one of the best cuts ive ever had. I have difficult thick hair with cowlicks and when I usually go to get a cut I dont set my expextations very high. Tried Sports Clips on a whim and I genuinely enjoyed the experience and actually loved the cut. And at maybe a dollar or two more than a budget cut from a valpack or newspaper ad coupon I would choose the extra out of pocket for the proffesionalism alone
