Not so much my experience, but my significant others. They do great work, but only have one rebuild technician. Took a lot longer than expected for his car to be fixed.

Corey and his staff were so awesome. We called at about 10:50 am and we were in the door by 11:10 am and we were out the door by 12:30. Our car is running very cold and we love it. And the price was amazing. Thank you again for wonderful service on our Kia Sorento.Gilbert & Mary Ann Contreras

Woke up and my car wouldnt run unless the gas pedal was being pressed. Got it to the shop and they were able to diagnose and fix within the hour!

Had clutch replaced. Part took awhile, not AMCOS fault! Very helpful and lets you know exactly what happened. Showed me the problem and broken part before replacing. Recommend this place for tans mission problems 💯.

If I can give them a negative 0 star, I will. Reason being, we brought in our truck to get the AC fixed at 8am. They said 4 hours. It took 8 hours. In the process, we called twice to ask for updates. At the end of the day, they called us stating they cannot figure out whats the problem. So we took the truck home, in worse condition than it ever was prior bringing it in. Theres a sound coming from behind the glove box as if something is loose. And on top of that, we had to pay $150. The receipt states for labor and parts. No one explained what was the parts we got charged for so Im assuming its for the refrigerant that they put back in the system. But mind you, the refrigerant was full when we took it in therefore, I dont understand why we had to pay for something that was technically ours. An employee also said he thinks the compressor is shot. But the compressor is new so what the hell. Bad place to do business as people dont seem to know what theyre doing. Never again and will not recommend to anyone who values their vehicle and most importantly, their hard earned money.

In the beginning they were Great!! They changed my Oil Valve Gasket. They said what was wrong with my truck. The Toyota Dealership told mb e that Aamco did not clean the oil away from the gasket. Aamco said, I need to ivest another $4,000.00 into my truck and change the oil seals on the engine. The dealer days that is incorrect. I am NOT a happy person. I am not advising my friends to ho havk. Bobby the front desk man was nice and very Polite. But, repair is necessary.

Excellent service and very professional. They did the job for $600.00 less than I was quoted from another service. I started with them by having my air conditioning serviced and was very happy. When I purchased tires I was told by this other company that I needed repairs in order to get an alignment. They tried to take me. Quoting problems that I didn’t have. AAMCO saved me a lot of money and I trust them for future repairs. I recommend highly !

Called to get a quote on all 4 breaks and rotors for my impala and wanted to charge me $1200 for that.. Anywhere else does it for half the price..

I was on my way home from the park with 5 kids when my van started having issues. Went to Aamco and they were able to quickly diagnose the issue and had it fixed in an hour. A lot of places aren’t to happy when you walk in with this many small children but they have a playroom well stocked and never made me feel like we weren’t welcome to stay. Great service and highly recommend them.

We were referred by the retired owner of a transmission shop who we have known and trusted for years. He referred us to AAMCO of Indepence. We live in the Parkville area so it is not real convenient to go to Independence however we are thrilled that we did. The extra travel was worth the value we received from the project. They were right on with their budget that they had forecast and also got the work done on time as they promised. Our experience combined with our friends Referral tells me that we should never go anywhere else for transmission work and I would recommend the same to any of you.

My Car has been there for over a month, and it still isnt fixed. every single day for the past two weeks I have received one of the same two answers. We just left a message with the warranty company, we will here back from them today and then give you a call, or the tech has everything together, he should finish and have it test driven tomorrow, will give you a call so you can pick it up. Im starting to wish I never brought my car here. I have nearly a 700.00 dollar bill after warranty for parts im sure are much cheaper. If my car isnt finished tomorrow ill just have it towed to a competent shop so that my wife doesnt have to drive me back and forth to work like I am a child.

I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. They had my car for a little over 3 weeks for a few different problems but my main reason for taking it to them was because my RPM gage was raising up to the max with out me pressing the gas paddle. When I finally got my car back I still had the same problem. It doesnt make sense that they had my car that long and I still have the same problem

Best Automotive shop ever!! I came in for an electrical problem and left my car there overnight. I found out the wiring harness was unplugged. There was no charge due to this easy fix. I cannot thank these guys enough. They could of easily racked up charges but they didnt. This is a Very honest repair shop!

The help I received for my Dodge Durango regarding a transmission was out standing even tho they couldnt get me financed into a new transmission they helped me find a used one at only $500 bucks with warranty and fully tested. The prices on there remans were far cheaper than anything online $1400 with a 3/ year 100000k Mike warranty was way better than $2000 online. Would recommend anyone that needs help ask aamco

Just got off the phone with one of the best people you will ever come across in the auto repair business, Josh at AAMCO on Lees Summit road. He is VERY knowledgeable and professional. Quickly diagnosed my transmission problem and told me I only needed a new switch not a new transmission! Very honest business! Im a car guy who fixes almost everything on my cars-but I dont have the tools or experience to fix transmissions. When my Honda Pilot computer warned me of a transmission issue Josh got me in the next day. A few hours later he had me ready to go. If I have any transmission problems in the future, Josh will get my first call. Skip the high priced dealerships and see Josh.

I had a really awful sound going on in my car and initially thought it was my brakes so they changed those (which were 2 mm and the time to change them is 3 mm). They got them done in the time I gave them to get to another appointment. But it wasnt the real problem, I came back a couple days later and they tightened something (I dont know cars) while I waited at Starbucks (so nice of them to take me there!!). After it was done (less than an hour) they were finished and didnt charge me a dime for the service they did or the time they spent on my car.If I had to go anywhere to get my car fixed I would hands down go to AAMCO in Independence 23rd and Lees Summit!!!! Really nice manager and workers!

A week ago, the water pump on my vehicle went out and the only place that would talk about my vehicle was Aamco (it was roughly 7pm). Josh, the manager, discussed (while at home) with me that I could leave my vehicle at his store. After my financing was rejected, Josh implicitly understood that I had no where to go since I could not return home to Kansas City and commute to Independence for work. It was at that point I had to stay in my broken car for a week. After being paid, Josh proceeded to have his men fix my car for the original price estimated. He never once charged for leaving my car on his businesss property. He is a kind-hearted man and without him, I wouldve lost both my car and my job. Ive retained both and can now commute. Aamco has a national reputation for overcharging and potential consumer fraud; this location has proven that wrong. I highly recommend Josh and this location to anyone in need of automotive repair.

I purchased this car in October 2018 and also purchased an extended warranty at the time. The transmission started acting erratic about one month ago so I took it to Aamco in Independence Missouri . Savannah informed me the transmission was bad.She dealt with the warranty company and negotiated to get a remanufactured transmission installed.Savannah went to great lengths to make me a happy customer.She is a true customer service professional 👍👍

I received a call no later than a few hours later. Josh Holman explained every detail that was wrong with my car to a T. He took his time I didnt feel rushed out the door like usual. They told me my transmission would needed a complete overhaul went home and adjusted the 2nd gear band and it runs fine I would never take anything to Amoco I wouldnt even take my go-kart there they are a rip-off and I dont know about their service because they will never get a chance to work on my vehicle

I took my vehicle into aamco after another dealership found a transmission leak while doing a state inspection on it. I brought it to aamco because they had rebuilt the transmission the year prior with our extended service plan thru carmax.Not only did Josh and the techs at aamco go out of their way to fix the transmission leak but they also went above and beyond what I had asked them to look at. The previous dealerships service tech left multiple things out of place under the hood, including the egr valve unplugged and draped across the engine over the drive belt. Not only did they plug it back in but the ran the codes and even drove my vehicle to make sure that plugging it in took care of the problem. They also very willingly went over a few other things the other place told us we needed to fix, but in aamcos opinion they in fact did not need to be replaced.Needless to say they defiantly have earned my trust and respect and I not only will return to them If the need arises but I will also recommend them to anyone I can. Thank you Josh!
