HORRIBLE service. We were working under a deadline, that we did not meet because the employees would not call back. We spent over a day trying to get ahold of someone and the receptionist said they were in meetings several times we called and did not receive a callback or “at breakfast for 2-3 hours.”Our tent that we requested a quote for days earlier ended up getting rented because they didn’t have the decency to respond or call back. Highly recommend to use a different company.

That place is a joke bout as funny as the manager Big ole’ Byron rented a chainsaw from Byron and the saw wouldn’t cut a lilac shrub. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere thanks for nothing A-1 rental.

For the past 4 years A1 rentals has been absolutely critical for the operation of my business. Our success has been in their hands and they are always there for us. Tracy and Brian are amazing folks to work with and so are the girls at the front desk in the rexburg store. We are extremely grateful for them. Ive rented for years from these guys. Super nice and their equipment has always worked. I made sure I understood their policies for renting and times to return. Ive never had any trouble. Bryan has always been great to work with. He manages the place. I would recommend them. They are cheaper then all the other equipment rental places and their equipment is pretty much the same as their competitors. It gets the job done! I would say look at the equipment and make sure youre satisfied before you leave and ask questions if youre not sure. Its always worked for us.

Why would a tool rental shop be closed on a Saturday???? Some of us have other jobs during the week! Kind of rediculous!

Called and made a reservation for a pick up in the afternoon. Drove all the way to Idaho Falls to find out they gave my rental to someone else! First time using this company, won’t be going back if they can’t even guarantee a rental. What a waste of a day!

Liars. And they admitted it and didnt care.Pay a few extra dollars and go somewhere where theyll be honest and take care of you!I called to reserve a log splitter and specifically asked, more than once, when the 24 hour rental window started.The guy told me that it was from when I picked it up and went for 24 hours. So on Friday, we didnt rush to get it.When my husband got there at 11, they informed him it had to better back by open the next morning. If we had been told that, we would have picked it up at opening time.I called them to tell ask them to extend it for the promised 24 hours and they just said, sorry, they had booked it for Saturday and it had to be back.I told them what I had been promised numerous times over the phone, and the guy on the phone even confirmed that I had been told that, but, no, it had to be back by open the next morning.I asked what they were going to do to make it right and they said nothing. I asked if they would instead just charge us for a 4 hour rental and he said, sure, if we had it back in 4 hours!They are more interested in the extra few bucks for a 24 hour rental than in taking care of customers.

Straight forward exchange. They demonstrated the use of the stump grinder and allowed me to take ramps with me.

I have rented several times with these guys and should have learned my lesson early. My skid steer tires were nearly bald and I couldnt get good traction. I still rented a backhoe. At the end of my rental, the tire literally fell of my the equipment. They had me call Les Schwab to have someone come out and fix it, making sure to inform me that it was my responsibility to pay for the fix. $250 later, the guy from Les Schwab calls me and tells me the tire is worn out and he is not surprised if came off. Furthermore, the engine of the backhoe wouldnt turn over. They again tried to blame me, but it ended up that the batteries were both dead. I still have a ton of yard work, but no way I am going back. The crazy thing is that they had the chance to make it right, but now they have missed out on future business. They are cheaper than their competitors for a reason, just remember that.

The staff was super nice and helpful. Their process were very good, especially compared to Home Depot or Lowes. The sod cutter I rented worked like a charm as well. I would definitely recommend going here again.

The portable toilets are disgusting they dont lool like they have been pumped out for months. The one in Freeman park is beyond disgusting.

Wish i could leave a 0 stars. Definitely not honest company. Go somewhere else and pay a little more. Weren’t upfront about all fees, then charged us over $600 for “damages” without receiving permission to charge card. Terrible.

A-1 is always fantastic to work with. Helpful and always answers my questions. They have great equipment. We use them often.

Ive been renting from A1 Rental consistently for the past year. They are always professional and the equipment is always in great shape.During my last rental experience I damaged some of their equipment. Completely my fault and I expected to compensate them a pretty penny for my carelessness.To my amazement they billed me a minimal amount, less than I could have repaired the equipment myself.There is no doubt that I will be renting exclusively from them in the future. Highly recommend this company.

Equipment is sometimes not in the best condition, but its functional. Prices are better than alternatives.

Wood chipper clogged immediately, not even one branch. Staff not particularly friendly in the front desk. Did refund for the chipper, but since the equipment did not work one star from us.

The fellow up front wasnt so friendly when I came in. I rented a dump bed trailer rated for 12000 pounds. The dang thing wouldnt lift, even when it was empty. Each trip took an hour of fiddling with the switch just to get it to dump. Since they close at 3 on Saturday and arent open on Sunday I couldnt get a different trailer. I had 10 hours of wasted time because of a defective trailer. It didnt have a dot on it either and after checking, it wouldnt pass. Half the lights didnt work. I was afraid to look at the brakes. I will not return to a1 rentals. Severely unimpressed.Update: They blamed the issues on the cold weather (which could be part of it) but did nothing to make it right by me.Cost to rent $85Cost of time lost $125 @ $12.50 an hour

The ladies were real nice today when I returned it, but dont pick up on Saturday, I dont know what I was interrupting but he was a jack wagon.

Great place to go, equipment is great but people are a little rough around the edges.

Not a great experience whatsoever. Rented a dunk tank for a family event, and complete and utter disappointment when the unlocking mechanism on the platform didnt operate at all, even with the littlest of kids! I did get half of my rental reimbursed, but dont feel like I should have had to pay for something I rented that did not serve its purpose whatsoever and was completely dysfunctional!

Never any hand sanitizer in the toilets even though they have a dispenser in every toilet. And its included in the rental.
