We’ve gone to Dr. Burr since he opened here in Ammon at first for the convenience of being close but ended up really liking Dr. Burr. Our older cats were getting near the end of their life & I don’t know of any Dr. that would check on our one cat (Diego) that had to stay the night but Dr. Burr did, he would call to keep us informed & also gave us his cell number if we needed to call him for anything. Anyway, it meant so much to us that a Dr. actually cared about our animals as well as us that we just keep going back & have sent a lot of our friends his way as well. 😜🥰

Great, professional staff. They took wonderful care of my mastiff. Hes super nervous with Vets, having had a horrible experience at another office in the area. The nurse understood, took things slowly, and did her best to make my dog feel safe and comfortable.

Recently our dog got Parvo and their team was very patient and helpful through the process. I am a very protective dog mom so they did their best to keep me informed. They took Wallace in multiple times without an appointment and made time for him because he was so sick. We are thankful.

Great location in Ammon. The staff and Dr. Burr are all caring and kind! Make you feel welcome and safe. They outlined all the costs for our pugs dental/mouth surgery. Giving us quotes on both the high and low side of cost to give us a general idea of what wed be paying after her surgery. Surgery went very well. They sealed her lip up that was eaten away by an infection, did some work on her gums, and pulled teeth that were bothering her and infected. They also saved my grandfathers pomeranian pup when he was attacked by a pit bull and torn up badly. (Not breed shaming, just happened to be a pit in our situation.) I highly recommend taking your fur babies here. You wont regret it.

Great experience for myself and my dogs. They even gave me doggy treats to give my dogs. The Vet and her assistant were very friendly and kept me informed.

Our dog needed to have some growths removed, they explained how much it would likely cost (variable being how long the surgery took) and explained all the after surgery care simply and straight forward. It ended up being much less than I anticipated. My only regret is that if I end up needing similar treatment Ill have to go to a hospital instead.

Ive been to many Veterinarians with my two old cats, and two younger dogs.When our little Chihuaweene got sick and we need to se a Vet soon, they were able to get us in next day.Had excellent service also.

My Wife and I recently moved to the area, and were looking for a new vet for our three dogs. Prior to being able to make an appointment we had an emergency with one of our dogs, we called their emergency number and Dr. Burr gave us quick instructions that saved our dogs life, and us financially. We really appreciated his expertise before we were even patients of his clinic. He even followed up the next day to see how our dog was doing. We have since had an appt with one of our boys and they provided excellent service that we have not experienced elsewhere.

I took my dog to Ammon Veterinary Hospital after moving to Idaho Falls. The staff is friendly and professional. The care they gave my girl was amazing and I saw improvement that very same day. Within one week my dog was back to her old self. I had taken her to another Vet two weeks prior and her symptoms did not get any better.Ammon Veterinary is our new Vet.

My husband and I along with our fur baby Oakley moved to town about 2 months ago. Oakley was due for shots and I was searching for a vet clinic with a friendly, caring staff and I definitely found it! He just got neutered Tuesday and the staff was so helpful about informing me about everything that came along with his procedure. They are so kind and I can tell they love all the dogs that come to their clinic. They are also very clean and professional. So happy oakley found a home at Ammon Vet Hospital!

My dog had a lump on her back. I asked the vet about and she told me it was a wart and not to worry about it. I found out she was wrong when I had to take my dog to the emergency vet and it was determined to be a tumor. I had to put my dog to sleep because the cancer had spread throughout her body.

The staff are all wonderful. They were great with our kitty and everyone has been so nice to me and my husband as well. They even called the next day after our cats shots and check up to make sure she was doing good.

Ammon Veterinary Hospital was prompt and very courteous. They are very knowledgeable about what they do, and I am very thankful for that. I highly recommend these people for all your pets needs.

Dr. Schrader is the best. She is kind and direct. We had to call the vet office for an emergency the day after an appointment, and Dr. Schrader got back to us within minutes with an answer to our questions.

Medical and support staff are all extremely nice and knowledgeable. They took great care of our new puppy. We will be back.

Great people here! I appreciate they are open when others werent. Finding strays in snowy weather on or during holidays sometimes makes finding available/open Vet offices hard. Yet they were open and kind. Able and willing to help. This is the kind of service that brings people back

I trust Ammon Vet Hospital, my dog was shot 2 years ago unknown to us and the Shelley vet hospital operated 3 separate times over the course of a year and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with his shoulder so I finally brought him here and they figured it out immediately, removed the bullet, the infected cyst that had grown around it and closed him up and he hasn’t had a sick day since. We come here now for all our pets. Just had our kitten fixed and it went perfect and everyone is so sweet. We’re actually moving back to Shelley but will still be coming up here to go to this vet.

Thank you for the caring handling of putting my family cat (Sam) to sleep. He was a loving member my family and brought many years (20) of happiness to my daughters. Its never easy too do such a thing but you staff made me feel better at the end. Thank you.

We recently moved to Idaho Falls from out of state. We took our daughters Service Dog in for a check-up because we noticed the lump he had, had grown in size. I called Ammon Veterinary because I had read good things about them. They immediately got us in, the doctor checked him out and told us Nova would need surgery to remove the mass because of the location it was in. Needless to say Nova had his surgery and quickly recovered from it. The doctor and staff were amazing, they called and checked on him to make sure he was doing good. A few day later Nova received a get well gift from Ammon Veterinary. I would highly recommend Ammon Veterinary Hospital!

Im sad to have to give three stars to this vet. Ive been taking my fur babies to Ammon Vet since I moved to Idaho Falls 6 years ago, and have not had a bad experience until early afternoon Friday when my cat needed to be seen urgently, but I was told they were double booked and couldnt see her. Im not at all happy that they refused to see her when Ive been a long time client of theirs. The receptionist suggested I wait until Monday or take her to an emergency vet, so I found another clinic on the other side of town that was also double booked, but cared enough to take her in and help her. My new vet told she would not have lived had I waited until Monday. They are a much longer drive from my home, but its worth the drive to have a vet that cares.

My only complaint is keeping my dog for 6 hours Every time ihe s groomed. Ive had my dogs Since 1988 Amazon And I Hatee That That He is gone for so long. I have always had cocker spanielI have always had cocker spaniels and wasasm able to pick him up after 2 hours. I picture him Freezing after a bath and not being air dried right away. Everything else is great

My pets have been seen by Ammon Veterinary Hospital since the practice opened. We have never been disappointed by the professionalism and courtesy provided by these wonderful people. Dr. Burr and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable and caring. Theyre invested in the well-being of our animals and even find the time to remember us humans too. (LoL) They were there for me when my malamute initially came down with IMHA (autoimmune blood disease) and though the Emergency practice I work for took over majority of his care, they still called for updates and expressed their concern for him.

The Veterinarians and staff are very caring and responsive to your pets needs. They take the time to listen to the pet owners about symptoms and concerns before examining your pet. If they come across something they are not familiar with, they will look it up before trying a treatment or referring to a specialist. Last veterinary facility we went to, decided to take a wait and see if our pet grows out of her condition attitude. She passed away at the age of 22 months.

Everyone is always so loving and caring with my little Coco. They always make sure I know what to expect when I took her in the get spayed. They even call the next day to make sure Coco was doing well and if I had anymore questions.

I love this office! Dr.Burr is an excellent vet and is so good with my crazy dog. The receptionists always have a smile on their faces and are always so pleasant. We’ve had to put down 2 family dogs due to cancer and they were very respectful and compassionate during that hard time. I know that sometimes their prices are a little higher compared to other vets in town, but I feel they’re worth it. It’s worth the peace of mind knowing my dog is in the best possible hands.

For almost 10 years now Ammon vet and their amazing staff have helped us with everything from basic care, to saying goodbye, and now recently welcoming our new family member. I highly recommend them to everyone I know and I wouldnt let my family take their pets to anyone else. They treat my dogs with love and respect while taking the time to fully explain everything to me and answer all my questions. I trust them to help me make the best decision about my pets care.

The people are so great. They are so good with my animals.

WE were in and out in under 15 minutes. The staff is always so nice to my dogs, who have very different personalities. My pug is terrified and shakes and the staff is so sweet to her. My boxer loves people and thinks its a great adventure and they always take time to give him a few extra pets.

They took really good care of our dog Sinatra. Surgery went well and we were happy with his aftercare. The staff is compassionate and understanding. They put us at ease the way they cared for our dog. Incision healed beautifully and no infection. We felt confident in their ability to care for Sinatra.

Love this vet they called me to remind me that it was time for my dogs shots, that was really nice cause I had so much going on that I forgot! Also they are really nice in the office and always call the next day to check up on my dog!! They truly make it easy!

I am glad that I chose this vet when we moved to Idaho Falls. Dr. Burr is awesome with my pets and only gives them treatments, shots, etc. that are necessary - he doesn’t try to get you to buy things that aren’t needed. Shortly after we moved here my dog got really sick and had to have an emergency surgery. Thankfully Ammon Veterinary Hospital was willing to take her on. She has recovered fully and we will be forever grateful to Dr. Burr and staff for saving our girl. I recommend them to everyone I know looking for a vet. They are well worth the drive to Ammon if you live anywhere in the area, trust me!

We moved here about 5 years ago from Spokane Washington to be with our first granddaughter. With us we brought our 2dogs Sasha and Whitney. We needed to keep them health and it was time for vaccinations!I had given by several times prior noticed it always seemed busy so I called and was given an appointment within a few days!For the most part we have seen Dr Burr but it wouldnt matter everyone is so nice. From the office staff to the Dr.s they also board pets and have grooming services!All in all a great place for your pets.

We took our Great Dane here to get shots caught up and discuss his low body weight. We were absolutely blown away by the level of service! From the front staff to the vet techs to the Vet herself! At no time did we feel rushed or feel like we were a waste of time! They took the time to answer all of our questions and gave options for treatments!Heres (one of) the best part(s)---THEY DID NOT TRY TO SELL THE MOST EXPENSIVE TREATMENT PLAN!!!!! They suggested that we try some different dog food and then escalate from there if needed. We werent in an emergency situation so we were fine with that. They then explained why the diet change etc--not just ok, go feed him this expensive food that you can only buy here and call us in two weeks. NOPE---they discussed all options!Excellent staff, excellent care!Oh and very happy to post that Zeke (the Great Dane) is gaining weight!!!

Taken my dog here ever since I got him, and this place is great! Ive never had to wait for them to get me in, theyre always very prompt and very professional. Theyre very quick with whatever they have to do and Ive never had to be in there more than 25 minutes no matter what the problem was. Staff and Doctor are all very kind and happy and I love that. I would recommend to everybody! Theyre awesome!
