When I walked in I was greeted with immediate customer service. Each barber and stylist was very engaged with their clients.A friend of mines was here getting their regular hair shape up and natural braid styles. Stylist made everything look so effortless and easy. She had a multiple clients at the same time and handle everyone well with no problem. I seriously Recommend you all coming here. I bring my cousin here to get his hair and beard cut. All the barbers are good and theres no wait during the week. My cousin is very happy and looks good.I go to the stylist Ada for a couple of years now. Im retired. Ada has flexible availability and is creative and can do styles from pics too. She does all types of braids, flat iron, wet sets, rods, etc. Im doing rods these days. Love me some Ada.

I called a friend of mine who is a regular and knows the owner. The owner referred him to Mike or Alfred. Mike answered when I called and was available that morning. I have a 10y/o nephew who usually doesnt sit still, and is chatty. Mike instantly put him at ease and my nephew felt like a big boy and was relaxed through his entire cut. When Mike was done my nephew said SWEET and couldnt stop checking it out. The shop was clean, everyone was masked and Mike even assured me that he had been vaccinated and he did not have to share that with me. Thanks again, We will be back.

Tried to make a haircut appointment for my son even though the website says there open til 6pm from what I was told the barbers take who they want and didnt want to do a haircut for a three year old even though the website says kid friendly. Advice save your time.I even called the guy Mike who has his number all over the website just for him to say call the shop. When they called me back they told me to call back to see if someone was going to be available the next day. Isnt that contradictory when I was told to make a appointment.

The stylist named Ada shampoos my hair thoroughly each and every time before greasing my scalp amd braiding my hair. My head (scalp and hair follicles) always has that fresh and revived feeling every time I leave from her services. Highly recommend her and the shop for next to godliness treatment!

Ada O. Was super professional and nice to my son when I took him to get his hair braided. She was so good with that my son trusted her to cut his hair to give that finishing touch to his cornrows. Absolutely would recommend her to anybody that needs a hairstylist for both men and women!!!! 5star service!!!

I went for a haircut and it was good. Alfred was very patient and gave a nice cut. The prices are reasonable too. They do not have any fixed appointments though, just walk in and wait for your turn.

Will never again bring my child to this unprofessional salon! They lack basic customer service. I tried to give them a chance hoping they would redeem themselves, however they proved me wrong. On every single occasion I brought my child here I been called the day of an appointment or the day before, if they feeling like they need to keep my money coming to say they have a conflict with the scheduling. Every single time Ive accommodated the request to come at different times allowed other stylist I didnt book with to do my childs hair, which in itself is unacceptable. You dont just let anyone touch your childs hair. This time I show up for the appointment that they had already called the night before to say they had a scheduling conflict can I come later. I show up at the later time I check in they then say the stylist is running behind again ok fine, how far behind?!?! But then they go on to say my appointment was moved to someone else, I never even booked with this stylist! I asked why wasnt I called before my appointment to ask if this was okay, or give me the option to reschedule. I never ever seen this stylist in the salon. Oh not to mention the stylist I was moved to was still about and hour or more finishing someone else hair! I walked out this is last time they will every do that to my child. My child is a toddler with a very short attention span not to mention its still COVID-19 having a child to sit for hours In a mask waiting to get her hair done unacceptable! Unprofessional and utterly disrespectful !!!UPDATE: In response to the unprofessional salon, if you are going to respond please do it acutely. You having only two stylist due to COVID has nothing to do with the issues your salon has! I’ve been to the salon on many of occasions being serviced by Aminata she was the stylist my child started bringing my child. Then it became an issues with her having conflicts in her schedule every time I schedule an appointment. So I booked with Netta she had a schedule conflict as well, book box braids on her own and the shop didn’t know so I got a call to reschedule. Which was fine said just cancel the appointment. The Salon floor manager she called me a few day later trying to fix the issue and scheduled me with Ketta that was March 7, 2020, which was the very last appointment that my child hair was done there because it was closed of course. So I naturally schedule an appointment with Ricketta (Ketta) because she serviced my child her last appointment. But now you say I only been there once before. And I never seen the two stylist that was in there when I arrived for this appointment. How can that be when the very stylist that a booked with was and had an appointment with was standing right in the front doing someone else hair (Ketta). Now keep in mind I schedule an appointment for 10am when the shop opened and there was somehow a schedule conflicts but how if the shop would’ve just been opening so you move my appointment to 1:30 only to arrive and you move appointment to some entirely different that I did not book with and I did not know with no warning. Not to mention she was in the middle of doing feedin crownrows. Face the fact you allow your stylist to book outside appointments the salon isn’t notified until ooops an appointment shows up from a customer online that doesn’t know the stylist personally. So you then call the customer that books online to say oh there’s a schedule conflict. When actuality there wouldn’t have been if you are used your electronic booking system and didn’t allow the stylist to book outside appointments and not put it in the system so the time slot online isn’t seen as available. But hey who am I to tell you to how to run a successful, professional salon. Oh just a business owner that has been in business for 20+ years in DC You should do your research! So if you going to respond do so accurate knowledge. Oh I forgot who I was dealing with, the unprofessional salon that will never see another dollar from me.

My 4 year old son got his first haircut from TYE. His cut station is the first one at the right Side as soon as you walk in. I was skeptical became son have a disability and didn’t know how he would react. But TYE is so amazing yo. I was just stunned 😳 at how he work with my son who has Autism. He wi Always go to him. Ty was very professional and provided excellent service. I am very particular when it comes to getting my haircut (neck fade, shape-up on the sides only, and no push back) and Ty exceeded my expectations. Ill definitely be back and highly recommend him.

Let me start off by saying last time I came to this place, although the customer service was horrible, I put up with it because the hair cut was nice and affordable. Second time around I decided to set an appointment with the same barber, the appointment was set and I was ready to get my haircut. My wedding is coming up and this was my “last” haircut trial before I decided on a haircut for the wedding. I come in and the barber I scheduled the appointment the with, “didn’t come in today”! I desperately needed the cut so I assumed the next barber up would be just as good. The barber called me up and I showed him a picture of what I wanted. He said got it. But first he had to eat a cookie and put the volume up on the TV before cutting my hair. He begins to cut and man can I say, this guy went at it! My head has never taken such a pounding. First, he jokes about I should never have hair gel on when getting a cut. I laughed because it was funny, little did I know he was going to comb hard as he could to get the gel off. I have worn hair gel for 25 years, every single barber sprays some water on it and comes it out, not this guy. He combed my hard gel as hard as he could. He then began to cut. Again, pounding at my head. I have never been attacked so much by a pair of clippers. Every cut motion was a blow to the head. And then he begins with the shape up, which I could feel every single dull blade on his machine. Cut, cut, cut he was not only cutting my hair but my skin at this point. After the cut was done he shows me his mirror and I almost cried, this man had cut into my forehead and left a wiggly line as my shape up. He didn’t even ask me if I wanted a shape up on the front, I never cut the front because of my widows peak. He then charges me and walks away to eat another cookie. Worst customer service ever, worst cut ever, my head hurts now. I came home to finish cutting my OWN hair because he left patches. Never again am I going to “Friendly Faces” not one person smiled. They obviously only cater to one demographic. Please just go elsewhere.

This place is 100% Legit! The environment is amazing & the vibe is positive and the barbers makes you feel special. Also my boy Tyrone did his thing, he’s got skill for real. If you need a good haircut go here because they will hook you up for a great price and you will always be satisfied and come back.

Went there for a simple haircut on Friday Oct 4th 2019. The barber did just the opposite of what I had told him and charged 28 dollars for making a total mess of my hair. I had to buy a big cap instead to cover my head after the haircut. It couldnt have been more horrible than that!!

My wife and I brought my 14-month son for a haircut. The entire experience was great. Everyone was so friendly and made my son feel at ease. Best of all, Mike did an outstanding job. We will definitely bring back my son for future haircuts.

Terrible haircut. Told the barber exactly what I wanted and instead, my hair was cut MUCH lower than what I asked. Barber had to be new at the profession as there was no care to give a new customer like myself a quality experience. Dont waste your time here.

Place feels dirty, doesnt cater at all to kids so Im not sure why they are silll calling themselves a kids salon, with a cartoon ish friendly faces sign. They should just focus on giving great haircuts quickly, and stead of drawing out the entire process, chatting up about inappropriate things and making the experience really drawn out in underwhelming. Hair cut was average at best. Never again

Tyrone is my barber. He has been cutting my hair for years l just sit in the chair and he knows what cut i get always he is the best barber l have ever had i refer him to my co workers go check him out the first chair.

Came in for 3 of my boys haircut, signed in we were not welcomed waited around for 25min there was barbers in the shop sitting around doing nothing one of them left and got food so again we were sitting around waiting for someone then someone else walked in and was able to get his hair cut within 2mins... i decided to take my $60 elsewhere I wouldnt recommend this place they overcharged for kids haircut very disappointed with the service I received today

Horrible experience! My son is 16 months old and he cried while he got his haircut. The barber complained the whole entire time. Saying that we came just to mess up his day. That we are making his back hurt. He was just so nasty! He was also angry at one of his employees, which he should not take out on a 16 month old! Never again! It was a really bad experience for a special moment.

I asked for a simple line up and half of my shape up was cut off. The other side was normal. Then he tried to cut the other shape up high to match the messed up one. Dont go here because as long as they get theyre money they dont care what they do to your hair.
