I have been looking for a good mechanic to work no our BMW X5. Not a fan of taking it to dealership.I had a problem with cooling system and already had a cost estimate that I was not happy about.Went to Heath’s Automotive for a second opinion and had the opportunity to meet Roy who I liked straight away.Left the car for a diagnostic which was done pretty quickly and got a price estimate which I felt comfortable with.The job was done in time and in budget and I was also informed that I had a warranty period that was longer than I expected.Based on this experience I would highly recommend Heath’s and will from now on bring the car back there when needed.

My 2010 Explorer was handling poorly and making some noises when I turned. I was concerned with its safety and a bit annoyed at how much worse it was handling compared to just a few months ago. I just got it back. Seemed it needed a sway bar kit which was a fairly inexpensive fix, $150. It drives great now. Another great experience at Heaths.

Ive had my car for over five years and have only ever taken it to the dealership, because it was under warranty. Of course, the warranty expired a few months ago and my mom recommended Roy. Working with Roy was the same kind of honest, fast communication I got from my step-dad when he ran a shop. He worked overtime to replace my busted water pump, never left me without an update, and was upfront about all the pricing. He also has factory oil and filters, which was really important to me since I also needed an oil change. My car runs like there was never a problem, no loud noise under the hood, I couldnt be happier. I will never go back to the dealership again when I can get great service from Roy at half the price.

Should have posted this a month ago. Better late than never. From all of the ratings and reviews, I knew that this place had a good reputation. Plus he came highly recommended from my local Facebook group. I have a rather unique health situation, and a very tight budget. Roy Heath is awesome! One of those people that you immediately trust. I only went in for an oil change, but asked him to just generally check the old girl, (2003 Hyundai with 300 thousand miles). He found a couple of issues. Not unexpected. A couple were safety issues. What I appreciated is that he prioritized each problem, so I know what needs to be done first. Also, his prices were in my opinion, very reasonable for the work needed. I sent a friend to him, and she is also thrilled with Mr. Heath, the service, quality, & price. You wont regret going to Heaths!Very Highly Recommended!

I knew my car needed a new starter. Had done all the research beforehand and was pretty confident. Local quotes including dealer wanted to charge $5-800. Heaths looked at the vehicle and correctly identified the starter in less than half an hour and quoted a price that was far more reasonable, and they did a high quality job. Good local company. I’ve been taking my 2010 Ford Explorer to Heath’s for about a year. I’d grown frustrated with the dealership because, as the vehicle aged and the repairs were no longer just routine maintenance, it seemed I couldn’t get it fixed without taking it back several times. It seemed the dealership service drive personnel wasn’t communicating the problems accurately to the shop. It has been altogether different at Heath’s. You take the vehicle in and talk directly with the shop, no middle man to confuse things. I’m glad to have found Heath’s. I was just about to give up on my vehicle, thinking it was too much trouble to maintain an older, but low mileage vehicle. I no longer think that. I think Heath’s can keep this one running good for quite a while. That’s important to me. I only drive about 10K miles per year and consider buying a new car wasteful. I found Heath’s looking at reviews on NextDoor. They have been better than I expected and the reviews were tremendous.

Most recently I had a scheduled appointment to get the timing belt and drive belt replaced on my 2005 Subaru Forester. The timing belt was for preventative maintenance and the drive belt was what Roy diagnosed as the cause of some squealing from my engine, and Roy suggested doing it all at once to save money and time. Roy was wonderful with giving me updates on the repair and their expected turn around time!I really trust Roy with my car because he takes the time to clearly explain the repairs and maintenance my car needs and how it impacts how my car runs. I also really appreciate that I can comfortably ask questions about what maintenance my Subaru will need in the future and I know Roy will give me a straightforward answer. Those are the reasons that I keep coming back to Heaths for all my Subarus repair and maintenance needs.

I stopped by without an appointment at the end of June because my AC seemed to have given up the ghost. Its Summer, its Texas..ac is an absolute necessity, not a luxury. Roy immediately took my pickup into the garage and did whatever voodoo it is that he does (something about draining and checking pressure, etc) in an incredibly short amount of time and at a very reasonable cost to me. Ill be taking said pickup back in in a couple of weeks to get a couple of other issues dealt with.

I was very pleased with my service from Roy. He had been highly recommended to me by family. But I had been putting off taking my truck to him since I lived over 30 miles away from his shop and I just did not want to deal with the traffic. But my truck is getting old and I wanted a complete inspection from someone else other than the local shop I had been patronizing. I wanted to know what kind of mechanical shape my 2002 truck was in. And whether I should consider getting rid of it soon or could I keep it a while longer without looking at expensive future repair bills. I initially went to see Roy for a door lock issue. Since then, I have taken my car to have my window seals, front struts, and front rotor and breaks replaced. Roy initially told us the intake manifold would need to be replaced based on some tests he was running. He said it was going to cost $938. We gave him the green light to do the repairs. After taking it apart he found that there was a solenoid that was broken and only that needed to be fixed, which would only cost $665. Many mechanics would have just gone the more expensive route to pad their pockets more.
