They told me 5 hours for wheel bearings. Charged $1,340, had my truck for over 5 days with only one phone call during the entire process and when I would call they would act like I was bothering them. “Note I only called once a day” then finally got it back after 5 days and it isn’t right and I’m taking it somewhere else to get looked at. Unless it’s an alignment do not use them!!!!!!! **** it ended up not driveable and had to have it towed back to there shop. To there credit they reimbursed me for the towing and fixed the issue at no cost to me******

DO NOT go here. I got my brakes done here IN 2016. I have had to take it back every 6 months. They kept charging me more and more money. I bought my car new in 2008. I didnt have to get brakes done for 7 years. Once I went to them now every six months. I have spent over $2500 there. I could have went to Lexus and not had this problems.

I searched around for brakes for my van and lo and behold Budget Brakes in Huntsville did a phenomenal job. Thank you again I will tell all my family and friends where to get their brakes done

Dont be fooled by name Budget Brakes. The word budget does not mean anything. Like most auto repair shops, be prepared to settle a bill of at least $500.00 anytime you take your car to Budget Brakes. They will make you replace all the brake pads even thought the other three are perfectly fine. Two weeks ago I went to Budget Brakes in Huntsville Alabama on University Drive with problem with on brake pad and ended up paying $527 for my 2014 Honda Accord with 90 K miles.

The most disrespectful rude place I’ve ever been to. Answered a phone call in the middle of talking to me as if I didn’t matter at all. Then when the phone call was over proceeded with how can I help you as if I didn’t already address my issue. I in know way deserved to be treated this way by a low educated service man. Will not be returning.

I went there to get a brake check on a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. After they drove it and inspected it they told me my right rear brake was completely gone, and that I needed rotors on both of my rear wheels because they wasn’t up to code, but wouldn’t provide me with any paperwork showing I needed that work completed. After reading other bad reviews on this particular site, I took my Jeep to the Dodge/Jeep dealership down the road to get a 2nd opinion on my brakes, and the Jeep dealership told me and even showed me that I have brakes on my right rear wheel that should be good for another 20k miles, and that my rotors was in good condition. Be careful going here because they will try to tell you stuff to get your money.

PLEASE BEWARE RUN AWAY!!!!!! This place is a joke. At first really thought Mike was trying to help. Went for break special. Paid extra for high performance break but I hate any break noise. Immediately after picking up car still making noise. Had to keep going back to finally after 5 more visits issue fixed. Still tried to keep faith. Go back for an alignment cant mess this up its in a computer. Ok fast forward 6 months later time for another. Instead of in and out firdt he lie and say only have 6 month warranty so i ask for copy of warranty paper he gave me says 12 months. Ok time to pull car in he say he cant do warrenty because one of my tire is a different brand. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to 3 spots to get estimates on brakes. Budget Brakes was the only place that stuck to their estimate and didn’t try to up-sell things I don’t need. Mike advised me on what needed attention and what can wait. I was able to afford the work and appreciated their honesty. I will be back for any future work on my car.

I brought my 2013 dodge avenger sxt in for a brake check and they told me my brakes were bad. I had been to many dodge dealer shops that told me i needed all kinds of stuff to get my brakes back and running and on the road and it was going to cost around $1200.00 and i was freaking out so BUDGET BRAKES told me i just need rear pads i paid them to put them on they did it very prompt and correct and my car is working great now very nice serves and nice people ill be going here from now on

BB was able to get me in today right after my inspection. I appreciated the quick service and the price. Another service center quote was comparable, but BB broke down the cost estimate more clearly, showing the hardware kit also, not just the labor, rotors, pads.

The place is a joke! $59.00 alignment? I dont think so. They charged me $132.00. The $59 only includes adjusting the toe. Heaven forbid you need camber or caster adjusted, which is pretty common for, you know, an alignment! Much, much cheaper to go to NTB or Firestone or Pepboys...literally anywhere else.Pathetic. They prey on a promise to the poor, or, in my case, the very busy.

I took my truck here due to hearing my brake indicator making a quelling noice that indicates I need new pads. Figured I would get your standard $89 brake job. After they inspected my brakes they came back and told me that not only I need pads replaced but that my rotors were out of spec and could not be turned due to they were already to thin and by law they could not turn them. They quoted me $670 to do the work which I declined. After I left I took my truck to the Nissan dealer where I purchased it for a brake inspection and they said that by pads needed to be replaced but my rotors were well within specs and only needed to be turned. The whole brake job at the dealer only cost me $109. I then told them what happed at Budget Brakes and asked them if everything they said was really wrong with my brakes how much it would cost and they said $320 using factory parts. I do not recommend this shop. The salesman that explained everything to me was very nice and believable but I am glad I got a second opinion. I hate to see people with limited income come into a business like this and get ripped off. When you get a outrageous quote like I did, please take your car to someone else for a second opinion.

Im just as happy as Ill ever be, I take my truck into Budget Brakes they tell me what is wrong and we fix it. Nothing could be as simple as this. My last visit I thought I have a warped rotor, what they found was a bad pin on my front brakes. Ending up getting all of my rotors turned, and new pads at a very low price. Love it.

My rear brake was grinding, so I figured Id take it in and get new pads. $89.99, cant go wrong, right? Wrong.The guy at the counter lied through his teeth. Told me both my front and rear pads were shot, that the rear pad was grinding metal (that part was true) and that all 4 of my rotors were below spec and couldnt be re-surfaced. He wanted $600 to fix it all.$600 was more than i could stomach so I called up a buddy that works on cars and asked him to help me do it myself. We took the front wheels off and lo and behold -- the front rotors are almost entirely full width. Some grooving but very little wear, easily resurfaced within spec. The pads still had well over 50% of the meat.If the guy had told the truth, hed have gotten my $100 for rear pads, but he blatantly lied about what needed doing. Dont fall for his tricks, Im glad I didnt!

Twice I have gotten my brakes fixed here in 6mths and there is always a problem with the labor being done. Earlier today got new rotator front and back brakes cost me 300 dollars and my brakes where smoking on my way to work now at the other one to see why and they say my calipers and hose are bad and charging me 200 more ti fix it will not be coming back to this place ever again.

I brought my mothers car in to have them take a look at her brakes. They came back and told me that theres a bunch of other stuff that was wrong with it and not even her brakes. I felt she was being taken advantage of. Plus while they were supposed to be working on my brakes for some reason they were inside the car and try to roll down the driver side window which does not roll down. This guy forced it down then tried to get it to come up and now the window is broken . It only required a small fix before he broke it, they didnt even offer to repair it or anything. Ill never go back to Budget Brakes again they really scammed my mother.

They dont listen to you when you try to explain whats going on with your car and then they add on things that you didnt want them to do and over inflate the prices I would never go there again.

Ive no idea who these idiots are posting bad reviews are or what their world is like that they have zero idea of service youre supposed to receive at a place with a name like budget. These guys are awesome theyre fair theyre fast and theyre just empathetic. I was run off the road the other day my steering was all jacked up I was hoping Id get away with an alignment but it turns out basically every component in my front suspension and steering system was jacked and they showed it to me. Theres no smoke and mirrors no BS trying to talk over my head. My struts were bent my control arm was bent… Etc. Ive done a lot of work of my own on my vehicles. I understand parts labor and whatnot and they cut me a good deal they got it done really quick and I appreciate it. These guys will treat you right.

Basically my brakes were still fine and my car was not going to explode any moment. I would have wasted over $450 if I have listened to them. Will not do business here.

I received via email a cupon from this place offering allingment $29. I go and the guy say i need to print in company policies. I ask him email dont say anything about printint cupon is just a promo. He keep insinting i print it so i go back home and print it. I give him the cupon so i can get the alingment. He tell.me.cant be done i have to pay over 200 dollars to get it done. This is the type of customer service one of the reasons this place is empty. Rude unwilling to help. Basicly not caring.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! After paying $763.12, I still had to bring my car back to get my passenger back wheel brakes redone due to them not being properly put back together. My back passenger wheel was smelling like burnt rubber. I will never come here again and I recommend others to go elsewhere to have your brake service done.

If I could put zero I would. Ripped me off to replace 2 brake lines and snapped the bleeder on the front caliper. Wasn’t even professional enough to use a tube bender and only partially replaced the rusted brake line. Do the job right or don’t do it. I paid almost $400 for this because I’m out of state.

This shop was good the time I went. I only needed a wheel alignment though. Anyway they charged me about 70 bucks for it, they also told me that the camber on the front tires was off and they needed some after parts to fix it, that would of ran at 175$ on top of the 70$.

They are very expensive, way more than full repair shop would be.

Went to have my hub brakes done for the $89 special. They advised me that the rear hubs had to be replaced and tried to charge me $89.00 per hub and they said they got their parts from auto zone. I asked why the hubs were so expensive and the guy showed me the screen and said here is auto zones web site. ( which it wasnt ). I pulled up auto zones website in which the parts cost $42.00 each. Attempted to charge me $375 to do the rear brakes. After my argument on the rip off on the parts finally agreed to do it for $275.00. After 30 miles the rear hubs were squeaking and pulsing. I brought it back and they said it looked normal and they were fine. I finally brought it back after it got noticeably worse. They replaced the rear hubs and pads and still had the same issue. Trying to make this shorter. Basically 3 trips to this facility to get it straight and I am still having an issue with my right rear hub brake squeaking and pulsing but not as bad. Should have bit the bullet and just did it myself. At least they did try to get it fixed. Thats why they got two stars and not one.

THEY TOTALED MY TRUCK!!!Long story short, I just brought brand new tires and drive about 5 miles to Budget Brakes to get an alignment. I walked across the street while the alignment was supposed to be done. I get a call about 20 mins later saying that they took my truck out for a test drive, and the technician got ran off the road and my truck was totaled!I wouldnt have left this review because I understand things happen, but how does a business total someones truck, and not offer them any type of compensation for there out of pocket expenses. Im out almost 5k because of this and not a word from them!!

Came in a week ago the guy in charge I believe his name was Jerry. Was very rude and hateful! I wont go back as long as hes there..the boys in the shop were very polite and respectful.. And work very hard. The manager (Jerry) was a plain jerk to us customers and his crew he needs to go!

Omg really, youre not trying to create any extras like a sensor or rotaries.Well shut my mouth, see i heard this squealing noise as i braked last week so i was washing my car a rubbed my finger in between my rims and got this black dusty grim.So i said to my baby ( 🚗) you need shoes. So off we went Friday and just what i expected along with inspection. This guy is soGod sent for not just ladies & gents, But to the community of good will . so go on over get your brake shoes & more at a trustedLocation. So glad i passed up on other suppose to be quality shops.And the cost for VW still left me 😃 with money to treat Myself .Take it from me folks im better than the secret Shopper👼

They did OK on the work, except the price wasnt the best, i paid nearly $600 for brake work, and be careful, i had 2 items and money come up missing after I left my car there for the job!!! I was very unhappy, but the manager did handle it the next day and gave me the money back that was stolen.

A quick checkup stop turns into a full day. Resurface front rotors, new rotors and pads on back. Then master cylinder bad. The 2 new cylinder later, still not fixed. Pedal goes to the floor now? Wtf.Update. After 2 master cylinders they found after a full day that the problem was a spring on the rear caliper, that was broken.Manager was very understanding and waved the labor fee, for the second job, not the brake installation. Anyway a advertisement of $89.99 turns to a quick $450.00

Watch this place they sent out ad about there brake service starting@ $ 89.00 thats a joke. My vehicle was over $500. Dollars.

I went in to see if i needed new brakes. They said one of my rear brake pads cracked,(which idk how that would have happened because i dont brake hard) i need new rotors, pads, and brake sensors and it would vost about $700. They put my stuff back together (didnt put my caliper clips back on) that made a noise i couldnt figure out til days later. I had my pads and rotors replaced and the guy told me (a different place) there was nothing wrong with my rotors or brakes.

I went into the buget breaks on university drive to get breaks put on. I was told that I needed front breaks. I was told I needed front pads rotors needed to be machined/turned and that the hardware would have to be replaced as well. I was told the hardware kit was an additional 29.00. Lets start with the fact that a 90.00 break job which included the rotors being machined ended up being being 170.00 (front only) and then they didnt take the rotors off to machine them, they didnt replace all the hardware that I paid for which was so needed. I would not recommend budget breaks.... AT LEAST NOT THE ONE ON UNIVERSITY DRIVE. IF YOU CHOSE TO USE THEM USE THE ONE ON SOUTH PARKWAY.

Warning. This place is a ripoff!!!!!!! Took my car to these people (Budget Brakes) for them to check out my brakes. They told me I needed new brakes and rotors. I asked him how much he said $429.00. I said no thanks thats way to much for just front brakes. So I took my Carmax and explained what they said I needed and how much they said its going to cost me for the repairs. The price they gave me for the same work was more than half of what those jerks quoted me. After inspecting my brakes I received a phone call from Carmax and was informed that I didnt even need any brakes and that my rotors were fine. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I would not suggest going to this shop. Here is my story:My wife had a sound coming from her car. A metal on metal screech. I was out of town, i told her find a place to inspect your brakes, find out some prices. Budget was near our place so she went there. Her car was a civic with ONLY 40k miles on it. They inspected the car and told her she needed: a caliper rebuild kit, new rotors and new performance brake pads; with labor and tax would be over $500... i had her have the mechanic call me because this sounded obsurd. I feel like he is trying to get one over on my wife not knowing anything. He couldnt tell me much more than, this is what it needs sir wtf is a caliper rebuild kit exactly? i tried to google it and couldnt find nothing. Needless to say, i had her buy some Stoptech pads from amazon and found her a simple youtube video and she did the rears herself so it would stop screeching.when i returned i inspected the car and indeed the rear pads were very low causing the noise. The rotors were perfectly fine, and now 15k later are still fine. The front pads were at about 80%. kinda strange the rear going out before the fronts but we are the 2nd owner.This place could have easily replaced the rear pads, make $100 in 20 minutes, But instead tried to stretch that horribly. They wanted $80/set for those pads. Thats more than i paid for the Stoptech pads were are no doubt better. Also come to find out they use an impact wrench to take off and put on the lug nuts. Those are meant to be torqued down just like anything else. They put my damn lugs on so tight that it broke my lug nut key. I would not trust my money to a shop who can not even torque things down correctly. Please go somewhere else. not here. Bunch of rookies trying to steal a dollar.

Do not go here! They did the brakes on 2 of my vehicles and actually made them worse! after several trips back with each of them I finally gave up and had to take them to another shop...

I went there for a simple brake change the next day I was driving and my car was making noises went back again they told me that the brakes were being eaten by my bad rotors the next day I was driving and heard a thunk noise I pulled over and 3 out of the 5 bolt were lose to the point that by hand could be removed and the other 2 werent as tight ether a socket wrench still could have made it tighter needless to say while driving 1 bolt snapped off and this place is horrible dont come here ever

On day 3-31-18 I visited the 4703 university budget brake for alignment of the car and the service by the alignment technician was the worst. Damage part of the Rack & pinion that was installed New and return to verify the damage and the service and attention by the staff was the most unpleasant.
