We highly recommend doing business with W. A. Zimmer. We had an issue with our awning that was installed in the spring. I called on a Monday. The service manager (Ryan) and a production manager (Drew) were at my house on Tuesday a.m. When it was apparent that they could not fix the issue to their satisfaction, Plan B was implemented and the job was completed within a week. Drew returned with another employee to help re-install the awning. All 3 of the men were thorough with their explanations and workmanship. They were obviously concerned with making sure the job was done well and safely. They were very professional and personable. I cannot say enough good things about working with W. A. Zimmer.

Our salesman, John was very professional as he did not pressure us into making a quick decision. We asked questions about the process and viewed various jobs that had been done by WA Zimmer. The company exceeded our expectations from the initial consultation to the final build. The installers did an excellent job in every phase from the beginning of build to the completion. Couldn’t be happier with the end result. We highly recommend.

This is the second room they have done for us. We could not be happier with the whole experience. We would recommend them to all.

From first meeting we indicated we wanted a ceiling fan. Since we had our own electrician we mentioned it as build took place. We’re told wire would be put in so electrician could wire from that. Porch was closed in and wire is not accessible. Now what? They did not offer to come out and fix it. Would not recommend based on our experience. When a company realizes you have an issue they should offer to come out and figure it out. Update: Finally sent a guy out (who was awesome). He located the wiring in spite of installer saying the electrician could not get at it. We are able to have our ceiling fan. Still waiting on the two windows to be changed out so they all match. They have not sent final bill which is fine since windows still need swapped out.

We saw an ad in a home improvement magazine, called and an appointment was scheduled to meet with a design consultant. John did a great presentation, has an awesome attitude and was punctual, He listened and gave attention to detail. The installation was a WOW installation. Justin and Gary are the absolute best!! They are both very particular, can do attitudes, precise, professional and thorough problem solvers. Our 5 year old deck had deck board fasteners that permanently attached the boards. They figured out to remove them in order to set the posts. They work together very well, particularly under the pressure of those difficult deck boards. Our finished pergola with a screen is an asset to our home thanks to the great job all the WA Zimmer staff did to present, measure accurately and install. We HIGHLY recommend their product and their employees.

Mr. Zimmer came to our home sat at our table and personally helped us with our decision. The installers were very nice and did a great job. Things that we really love about our awning are:1) the color blends in so nicely with our house2) the awning has a remote that we can use to put the awning out from inside the house3)it has an automatic wind sensor that will retract it if the wind gets to strong.We purchased our awning April 2016 and we loved it during the hot summer. This is the second time I have used Zimmer to put in a pergola. Obviously they did a great job the first time; so we used them again. They are thorough in their explanation of the job and materials. The workmen we polite, efficient and cleaned up after the job was completed. I would certainly use them again!

We are into our fourth season with our 12ft x 16ft addition. Extremely comfortable. Even with -20 temps, using just an infrared fireplace. And the construction process was a pleasant experience. Thanks Zimmer!

W A Zimmer company added a pergola to our patio. We received excellent service starting with Adam our salesman, to everyone that worked as a team to complete the instillation. Our product was installed in a short time with no complications or delay. The addition to our back yard has been admired by friends and neighbors. We would recommend this company to anyone .

Great company! No pressure. Took us a year to make up our minds about a Sunesta awning. Its an excellent quality investment for our home. Rich, the design consultant, was very helpful with our choices of features and colors. The installers were punctual and satisfactory as far as the work and explaining the operation and warranty materials. Hoping to enjoy our deck more this summer!

W.A. Zimmer left a great impression on my family. They were quick to come out for a quote, very responsive to our requests and concerns, and very professional on installation day. We’re extremely pleased with our new awning and have already used it extensively!

We didn’t know how hard it was to find a competent construction company until we started looking this spring to add a gabled roof over our back patio. We had contacted 6 different companies for estimates and advice: one prominent Fort Wayne company came out and talked with us and said they would get back with us in a couple of days. More than 3 weeks passed and finally an estimate arrived. However, it was for something we hadn’t even talked about. So much for that. Another company came over and the person brought his 3 small children ranging in ages from 3 to 6 years old with him. My wife ended up watching them while he looked over our requests. He stated that he would get back with us within a day or two with an estimate. We never heard from him. We set up appointments with 4 other companies, but they never bothered to show up or call. That’s been our experience with construction people until a friend suggested we call W.A. Zimmer in Huntington, Indiana.Our 1st contact at Zimmer was with Rich Fishburn who was very cordial and accommodating. We set up an appointment for an in-home consultation. Rich showed up at the designated time and was extremely knowledgeable about all operations of his company. He showed us exactly what the construction would look like with a design program that he had on his laptop computer. He even printed out a photo of what our completed project would look like. What a difference this experience was compared to what we had been dealing with prior to this. We scheduled the project and Ryon Derickson, project manager, contacted us with all the particulars. He got the building permit and work started quickly. The crew was efficient, detailed and exacting. Their work was impeccable and Ryon & Rich came out several times to check over the operation. Paul, the warehouse and supplies person, also was on site many times helping with his expertise. When finished, it looked like the added roof assembly was not an add-on, but part of the original home construction 23 years ago when we built it. It is simply gorgeous! This is an experience we will long remember. In our opinion, W.A. Zimmer is absolutely, unequivocally the best choice we have made in a long time. Was supposed to get an estimate 2x now.. Wasting my time and not coming out to do it. 1st time i called them and asked whats up and they said someone called in sick so rescheduled for today at 2pm.. And again nobody showed.
