Wonderful place and staff, enough machines for everyone to use, great music and again staff is just amazing!

Why am I still being charged for a business that no longer exists in Huntington?!NYSC dismantled in Huntington just after Covid hit last March. I was still being charged a monthly amount and had just paid an annual fee in February 2020. I disputed the charge and my card was refunded. Several months later, I received an email from New York Sports Club asking me if I wanted to continue my membership to which I replied an unequivocal “NO!” NYSC in Huntington was already in shambles even before Covid hit, but many months ago, after already being shut down for months, I looked inside the window and all the equipment was gone. Today I received a letter from a collection agency regarding my credit card. It says that NYSC is charging my card as of January 2021 and I am already owing dues for January, February and March 2021! I am furious! I just canceled my card and have to dispute these charges now. I have perfect credit and now I have to deal with this bullsh*t! I am furious!

I am trying to cancel my membership but it’s impossible to reach them. They just keep taking my money every month!!

My membership as well as yearly fees increased after less than 1 year without being notified, when I called the place to find out what is going on I was told sometimes the corporate can increase the price without notifying you...is this a joke? I will be resolving this case through official channels. Beware fellow athletes!

Why am I being charged a monthly membership fee when the Huntington location isn’t even open?!I really like working out at this gym but am considering leaving given the poor customer service regarding membership fees and poor communication with clientele during this time.

When it comes down to equipment, there isnt anything out of this world in this gym. But, they have a fantastic steam room and sauna. As well as, this place is extremely clean, the cleaning staff does a great job! The rest of the staff is friendly and they always welcome you with an available towel. This is a good place to start positively with a nice workout, relax and focus your mind, so that one can have a productive day.

This gym only survives because of its location. The manager sent an email to members promising a lot of things including newly renovated locker rooms. Never happened and no update provided. I mentioned this to him and he dodged the question. I also mentioned that he isn’t communicating babysitting hours to staff and he said “ The babysitting schedule has been the same as always M-F 9-12:30PM Sat - Sun = Closed (Including Holidays)” which is hilarious because there has been babysitting there every weekend for the past 4-5 years.Poor management. Poor communication. Dirty showers. Broken equipment. Oh and then rate increases.

Filthy locker rooms. They revamped the cardio machines recently, then jacked up everyones monthly fee. I wish they revamped the locker rooms. Manager is belligerent. Better and cleaner places to go.

The location is convenient for me, however the manager is rarely avaliable should you need anything. The elliptical machines (about 6 of them) have not worked for over a month. The manager kept telling me rates were being raised to pay for renovations; all Ive noticed is a coat of black paint, and unplugged elliptical machines with no tv access.

I want my money back they already charged me the monthly payment and it is still closed in huntington village😡

Dirtiest, scummiest gym with the worst employees. I cancelled my membership here a year ago and just found out they were still charging me. The manager was extremely rude and refused to refund the money. Even charged an extra 10$. I would recommend splurging the extra 20$ a month for one of the nice gyms in town, hope this place gets shut down fast

I love that gym, Ive been there for the last 2 years and Im still a member. theres nothing I could complain about. No one bothers me everything is constantly getting clean, the workers are super gentle and whenever I ask for help theyre always there for me soo I really hope that doesnt change at all. That gym is amazing and it has helped me build the body Ive always wanted. I highly recommend it.

About the best thing associated with this gym is that its in Huntington (one of my favorite all-time towns) and they give out towels at the front desk. Other than that, many of the machines at the gym do not work. They just increased my rate by ten dollars and I already pay 30 a month. Thats a 33% increase. For what? Your machines dont work. Your facility is dirty. The locker rooms are crummy. And your staff is down-right unfriendly! I am on my way out the door of this gym if they do not bring down my rate and I will not look back. There are way better gyms out there (such as the Commack and Nesconset locations). Gym memberships will increase; I get that. If the quality of the gym is going down, then why should I pay more? Customer service is something this gym needs to work on, seriously! Remember, Im paying you! (or was ;))

I would give it zero stars if I could. Its over crowded at peak hours, the staff is not friendly. The equipment is old, broken and you can never find matching dumbbells because they are left everywhere. People that go there are rude throwing and slamming cable weights. No staff cleans anything up to organize. Cancelling they never called to confirm. They MAKE you pay an extra 2 months which is Bologna. This gym will not stay around much longer, I can guarantee you that. There are way too many newer nicer gyms to deal with a garbage place, staff and corporation BS rip off policies. Do yourselves a favor, go elsewhere.

Great gym and not too expensive. People there are nice and its a social experience.

Staff is extremely rude. There is no pool. The equipment is always broken and if not broken it is always a mess. They raised my fees from 44 to 54 in one year without letting me know. I had to call 5 times as they would not get back to me and the inbox is full. They tried to do me a favor and bring it back down after I made a fit because $10 extra a month is over a 30% increase which is insane!! Beware of them scamming you! Check your renewal rate

Place is extremely dirty, machines are old and falling apart and the staff is terrible. Customer service is terrible they do not care about the customer they are money hungry and overall they care more about their “polices” rather than the community they serve. They messed up on their end and refused to do any type of refund or waive of cancellation fee.

Not responsible and caring!I decided to cancel my membership couple months ago and each time they were making excuses for not doing that! You can’t cancel the membership by calling them. You should go there and talk to the manager in person and I did that couple times and the manager wasn’t there and the staff were not reasonable at all!So, they are still charging me each month and I’m so tired of fighting them. So disappointed!!

While the staff at this gym are nothing short of delightful, corporate consists of nothing but thieves! They play such ridiculous games. The other problem...there are often more broken machines than working! Again, the trainers and staff...They successfully make millennials seem great :-)

I rated 5 stars before but I coming down to 3 is nice place but I cant believe they changed my price without notice I havent been there in 3 months which is not their fault but they are closed because the pandemic but they still charging me the monthly fees I want to cancel my membership but is not way to do it no one can answer the phone and no way to do it online they are stealing people money

I have been a member in Huntington for five years and have seen the club facilities decline while the fees rise. Every year I get charged a fee to ensure that my monthly fee stays at $20. The problem with that is I signed a contract to keep it at $20. Meanwhile the crunch machine has been broken for two weeks. So, I just called to cancel my membership and the club tells me theres a $29 cancellation fee. A CANCELLATION FEE?!! How is that even legal?? Its certainly into fair. NYSC is a rip off. Work out at home, like I am doing now, and enjoy it more.

I started working out 3 months ago, down 20 pounds and extremely happy. Easy going place to work out in, great staff.

My fiancé and I enjoyed NYSC while we were members. However, when we tried to cancel our membership, we were told that there was a 40 day cancellation policy that would require us to be charged for another month after we had stopped visiting the gym. We took the hit, although it seems unfair to pay for a service we no longer use. However, two months after our cancellation we are STILL being charged the monthly rate, and corporate management refuses to negotiate these payments despite emails recording our cancellation months ago. We have been refused any refunds, and we only asked to receive money from the charges past the ridiculous 40 day policy. I would do my best to find a gym with more transparent payment policies, and avoid NYSC if you want to be treated fairly as a customer.

Canceled my membership because NYSC Gym is not up to standards....months later they were still charging my credit card months after canceling. When I found out I called for assistance and NYSC Manager told me it was a problem with my CC and I had to call AMEX to find out why I was still being charged...are we serious. NYSC is a bunch of thieves. Lucky AMEX is helpful...they were shocked to hear what the NYSC told me...Go get em AMEX.

I just returned from signing up at this facility. Cost: About $30.00 a month plus a $50 fee up front. Total: $410 for the year. The better package. I can bring a guest with me each time and do all of the classes, including spinning. No questions asked. For $20.00 a month, no guest and no classes: Total: $310 a year. I was there for two hours. New cardio downstairs--all of it--stairclimber, ellipticals, treadmills, and so on. Upstairs-weights and exercise. Old but just right. I hope that those who have given this place one star have come to some kind of a resolution--if not with the person, they believe, dealt with them unfairly, then within themselves. Resentment echoes and is toxic.

Glad I am not the only one...Derek the manager is awful! Offered no help except when it comes to taking your money. Worst customer service ever. I wouldnt mind speaking to their corporate offices about this.

Convenient, clean, good services, friendly & knowledgeable staff

I like this place they have been here forever and they have a sauna and steam room.

I broke a machine three weeks ago (leg press) it is still not fixed
