My go to place for any kind of auto service

Have used Ingles several times in the past, and even recommend them to others. My most recent experience a week ago changes this. I had a trip and safety check done on my wifes 06 Cherokee. A few issues were addressed, along with a tire rotation, totaling just over $900. When I picked up the vehicle, there was no mention at all that a re-torque of the wheel lug nuts was recommend or needed.About 50 to 60 miles into the trip, my wife noticed abnormal sounds, but attributed it to the different road surface on the interstate. She was confident in the service work that had been done, as it had been a safety check. At about 230 miles, as the noise had changed, a vibration that also developed in the steering increased to the point she was barely able to hold onto it. When she was able to get off the interstate to a tire shop, they found 3 broken off wheel studs, and the two remaining lug nuts were very loose. Another couple miles would have been a disaster.When I called Ingles, not only was there a denial of any possible connection, but a blame on the original wheel equipment was made. Not even a question of concern for my wife or her passenger. Totally unacceptable. I know all humans make mistakes, but owning them and showing compassion go a long way.
