Really bad experience. People ask for $$$, favors and take complete advantage of others. No accountability. Stay away! NAMI, among others, is a much better organization with great groups.
I was a paid stipend volunteer for 9 years over at Project Return Peer support network. My new supervisor Leonard Lang screwed up, I got blamed for his mistake, and I was fired. I was not only fired, but I was told that I can’t even apply for one of their other positions for 6 months, and I can’t use them as a reference. Since I’m not an employee and I’m only a paid stipend volunteer I don’t have the same rights as an employee, so it doesn’t even matter that my supervisor was the one who screwed up instead of me. Our tax dollars are going to support this so called peer run agency to help people who have a mental illness. Please do NOT make any donations, or contributions to this horrible place, I’m not the only victim who has been harmed by this peer run agency.
GREAT PEOPLE, HELPFUL, WILLING TO HELP
All good.
