I have called numerous times to make an appt. + havent gotten a live person - mostly a mail box that is full. To date no one has called me back. I have also faxed a request for my previous records (went there a couple of years ago) + after 2 weeks they havent sent them. Guess nothing has changed (still must have employees that dont care!)
The front office answered my questions, the psychiatrist understood me very well, as did the therapist who saw me and my second son
Paperwork I spent a couple hours to fill out and hand carried to the office was misplaced so report was incomplete; doctor sent report AFTER our conversation then gave no way to contact office to ask questions except through group email which went unanswered; doctor dismissive and clearly did not want to be asked questions; staff couldnt find appointment that they have been texting me that I have. This office will get your child services and if thats all you care about then this is your place.
Dont do it, run and call for new mental health providers. Stay Away find someone else the company on a whole is shady and rude!!!! The front desk window lady is the worst.
I have been very pleased with the services provided here. Ben listened to me and matched me up with Marian, who is exceptional. She is smart, kind, and extremely informative . the front office staff is only fair, the waiting room is uncomfortable however the services are excellent.
Well i thought this office was a JOKE. It took me days and weeks to get through to the Dr. Then she prescribed me 3 medications and NEVER CALLED THEM IN TO MY PHARMACY. I am a MENTAL PATIENT and cant beleive how UNPROFESSIONAL this office is. It really seems like im on Candid Camera everytime i call.
The doctor wrote a prescription the pharmacy won’t approve. They made me have a second appointment with a $65 copay -that’s supposed to be waived, due to the incorrect prescription. I’ve been sitting in the waiting room for an hour, and have debated leaving many times due to the staff behind the counters inappropriate conversations. This is a mental health and addiction help center. Not a friendly social gathering. Explicit conversations are not appropriate, yelling, and making fun of previous patients isn’t okay. I don’t feel comfortable here.
Been going to see Rey for almost a year. One of the best doctors who I considered my friend. The incoherent staff rescheduled my appointment TWICE and then I waited in a empty office for 30 minutes, then wanted me to wait 3 more weeks to get my medicine. Dont ever come here.
Stay away from this facility. I have never seen a office staff violate so many laws and regulations, with the simplest mistakes to my personal file, privacy paperwork, medical prescription, and on an on. If you call, be prepared to wait on hold for 30-60 mins. Also, be prepared to get a generic answer that turns out to be a lie every single time. All I get is “oh yes we will take care of it” and “yes it is in the process of completion.” Months and months go by and nothing is every completed. Another instance, I tried to get a copy of my medical file, and they lost my privacy and release form. I fill out another and they now say that I have to pay for it. I try to pay, then they say I have to pay for both the medical notes and billing. So I pay for both, they cash the check. It’s been three months and I still do not have a copy of my file. It’s also been three months and I still cannot get a simple prescription authorization for my medication. My pharmacist called everyday this week and yesterday afternoon was hung up on right in front of me. I literally am shocked beyond believe. The only person that is a saint there is the actual doctor I talk to. He is amazing and helps me so much. The rest of the staff and management should literally be arrested.
Before I met Dr. Stepanoff and the team at Advances, I was a miserable and angry person. The first day I met Dr. Stepanoff, he really did listen to what was going on in my life even though to me it was a scattered brain vomit of words. After our initial meeting I was requested to do an assessment for the IOP program they offer and I met with Dr. Nieto,Its been almost a year since I began using their services and with the tool they have provided, and encouragement they have given me I am almost a different person. They have educated on what my diagnoses mean, how to manage them, and how to have healthy coping mechanisms to be successful, and it has been life changing. That being said my success was also in part with me taking the programs seriously and going home every day trying to apply what I learned, attending Is not enough, I had to do the work. An area of opportunity I noticed was wait times when waiting for a doctor. Its going to happen, either have a book, charged phone, or a Nintendo switch and accept it or you’re just going to get mad for no reason. I see it in the lobby all of the time. Its not always a wait but it happens, and I clear out my day for an hour or so to make sure im not feeling the time constraint. To summarize, if you are like me, where i wanted to make a change within myself, and I was tired of being sad, tired, unfocused, angry, and anxious all the time I suggest give Advances a try. The staff is friendly and has always taken the time to explain things for me. They will give you the tools you’ll need to put you in a position to succeed if you follow the program whole heartedly. Thank you Advances!
My pharmacy forwarder a request for a prior auth from my insurance company to them on October 19. Today, Nov 4, I was put on hold for 15 min then disconnected. I called back and let them know this and after a pause asked, can you help me now?. I was told, Yes, thats why I asked, how can I help you? This is the response I would admonish a pre teen from making to a peer not one I would expect from an adult, much less a professional. They said they never got a fax until today. Given that I was shown the fax paperwork showing the fax went through, I think it is much more likely they did not handle the fax when it was received and tossed it when it was old. It seems this office is not managed at all and that these employees can get away with anything. They must be running entirely without any leadership because one would imagine that distributing a fax to a recipient would not be a management problem requiring a PhD from MIT in Operations to resolve. Given the tragedies that can occur when psychiatric medication is abruptly cut I would imagine that such things would be taken seriously as matters than can potentially cause harm and result in costly litigation.
Extremely rude office staff. Dr. Nieto is good, but I cant get past the attitudes of the people answering the phones. It seems like they are looking for confrontation and wont work with you what so ever. They treat you like the damaged goods that you are. Thanks for the help girls!!
The worst office staff ever. What a bunch of losers!
There are a lot of different doctors here practicing so it’s difficult to rate those who make up the rest of the office but my experience here has been a good one. They have more than one outlet for those who suffer with depression and addiction which is usually just treated with medication. I’ve seen so many different doctors and councilors here that really do care and want to help. I like that a lot.
Dont recommend this clinic. Unprofessional staff, Doctors and specialists. They are all unprofessional and rude. They didnt care about patients. I also called many times to follow up and no answer back. Specialists doesnt bother themselves to contact us to Ask. Bad bad experience. Dont go there.
Dr Stepanoff is a great Dr. He and his team have help me in so many ways I can’t thank them enough. If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, lost of a love one, bipolar, ADHD, Panic Disorder. Or any life mental disorder this is the place to go. They have experience Dr who care an will help you. I highly recommend them. They have made me a better person and help me get through my problem. Thanks to all the staff
Great therapists and doctors but the front desk staff NEVER answers the telephones and takes a week to return voicemails. Would almost prefer to drive to the Long Beach location simply because the office staff is much more established and professional.
Avoid this doctors office, they are extremely unprofessional and Dr Nieto’s staff go out of their way to be unhelpful. My son was charged for two office call fees and got no help. He went there as a new patient in order to get more ADHD drugs. She wrote a prescription for something that none of the companies are covering and then insisted that he come back for second office visit order for him to obtain a prescription for more common ADHD drug that the insurance companies will cover. He never was able to get any drugs by three months of trying because the approval forms that were needed were accidentally Sent to an incorrect insurance company by Dr Nieto Psyche Nurse competent staff, even though they they were in possession of a photo copy front and back of our insurance card. The net net is that now that my son is upset, they have divorced him even though he never did anything wrong and was frustrated because he had paid for two office call visits and due to the inept staff at the office was never provided with a prescription that could be filled. The people who come there for help seem to be very questionable people this is not a high-quality Practice catering to high-quality people. My son must’ve called about a dozen times over three months and pay for two office visits and was never given the help and the pharmacological care that he was seeking. We can only assume that this is a money pit for Dr NATO and she’s just milking it for all that she’s worth, and not actually performing properly in her capacity as a doctor.
The vestibule of death. Meet Joe black allias Nieto and her assistant
Love this place for my son Changed his life
The best staff and Doctors professional
Staff and Dr. Stepanoff were professional and helped me with all my needs.
