Great one. The members are very good about putting their weights back where they belong for the most part which always is a good sign. Equipment is clean and well-maintained.

This is my favorite LA Fitness because of the fantastic layout and vast array of equipment. There is a big warm up/stretching section with mats, the class studios are massive, and the turf section is also huge with a ton of equipment everywhere. The custodial staff are phenomenally friendly and keep the place spotless. The pool is so beautiful it almost looks like a resort. Love this gym!

Really great gym. Has all the equipment you’ll ever need. Only downside are the hours. Even extending the closing time an hour through the week and 2-3 hours on the weekend would be great for the people that work late or on the weekends. Pretty annoying compared to other gyms but other than that great gym.

On Wednesday I asked Drew if they had a family bathroom so I can help my disabled family member dress on his bad days (like today). He politely said that was a good question and he didnt know but would ask.Today he said I cant go in the locker room and stared at me blankly when I asked him if he spoke to his manager. This location on Golden West in HB is actually pretty great. It feels a bit smaller when you walk in, but the equipment is well organized and clean, and the functional training area and the outdoor pool are favorite amenities at this location. Depending on your fitness goals, the organization of this location makes for an efficient circuit and/or cardio workout session.

Manger seems clueless to to needs of the gym, always long waits for squat rack, seems they would consider adding extra squat racks?

Face cover required, ONLY to enter!!They control the capacity, but once you enter the gym, there are so many people not wearing masks, nor employees enforcing its policy.If you care about your health as much as you care about your fitness, other LA fitness/gyms are safer and better.

Gym is clean. Staff is awesome. I’ve been going to pure fitness for years and am just here for the holidays so they made a month pass a super Easy sign up. Even helped me get a better deal. No one is trying to up Sell. My advice to all the reviews complaining about up Sell is to simply opt out of the gym tour and get straight to the point of your interests. Way better than the YMCA.

This gym does not enforce mask and gloves which is awesome.. Having Californian asthma wearing them has made it impossible for breath, and gloves just helps over heat ur body! For those who has issues for those who does not wear mask and gloves keep ur panicky a$$es at home..

Came in from Chicago on vacation. Wanted to keep our workouts consistent while away and Megan took great care of us! Got our guest passes activated right away and was super nice! The gym was clean and well organized. We will be back next time we come into town!

Long time member, glad things are getting back to normal

We were in town for Christmas visiting my brother. LA fitness allowed my husband and I to use the gym to keep those holiday pounds at bay! The staff was incredibly friendly and warm. They made us out of town guests feel like we were part of the family!

Signed up for a 2-month trial membership not knowing that Spencer the manager will continue to harass me with one month left on my trial membership every time I came to work out about signing up. He got so belligerent that he would even follow me and threaten me that he is supposed to let me in the club if I dont talk to him and take care of this matter that day!! Looking into legal remedies for harassment and degrading treatment by employees at LA Fitness.

Once you obtain your membership, access to quality exercise machines is generally easy. A pool is also available for laps and well as assorted other specialized exercise options. Unless you select a personal trainer or elect a group training option, you are on your own.Cleanliness is a major issue as infrequent wipe-downs are a concern.The equipment and overall facility are state of the art, where you can get a full workout yourself or participate in various optional programs.

LA Fitness scam!I had a free physical evaluation for my new membership. At the end of the session. I received a written offer for $160/mo + 8 free sessions from my trainer DEEP. When I returned to sign the contract, the VP Albert stepped in and interrupted our meeting, and told me that there isnt any such deal in the program. He wanted me to sign up something that I have no knowledge of and it is way more costly, so I left, and I quit the LA fitness membership, and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Joined after Covid to swim and what a nightmare. They need a reservation system. They only allow 2 in the pool and closed off the middle lane. Than theyre constantly changing the rules, one day you can swim 30 - 45 minutes the next day only 20 minutes, Ive seen people getting at each other, because a different manager says something else. just get a reservation system and be done with it.

You have to pay over $100 dollars for the sauna if you want to go. It’s small and doesn’t have many machines. They don’t have any towels available for their customers. I came in before work and couldn’t even shower because I hadn’t brought a towel with me. This is the only location that is this way and I’ll never be back here again.

Very Unprofessional VP - AlbertMy husband was offered a personal training programs by the trainer in writing by the trainer and reconfirmed via phone communication. He went in ready to sign the contract with the trainer but their meeting was interrupted by the VP Albert. He said no such offer can be honored despite the handwritten program provided by the trainer. My husband was very upset and felt lied to and it is another scam from LA Fitness. He walked away and Albert provoked him again and again by saying is your lost! you not going to meet your goal! Shame on Albert for non professional behavior to provoked his customers! Provoked your customers is not going to gain customers! Shame on LA Fitness to continue scamming their customers again and again and having Albert as your rep. I feel sorry for Deep, the trainer as Albert is treating him as a child and not giving him the respect of giving his words out to customers and not able to honor it. AWARE! READ FINE PRINTS and Word by Word should you want to sign and join the gym! I Quit the gym! Note: I was there to witness and hear the conversations as it happened. SAD!

This is a great gym with diverse equipment that you can use to get your cardio or weight training exercise. People here are nice. This is a clean place with a lot of friendly people, and could be used as a social outlet if you like working at the same time youll probably meet people that also do and could make some friends or workout partners. We all know that exercise is good for us in moderation it is easy to Implement some exercise into your lifestyle and daily routine. Exercise to have more energy when youre exercise is done and as a endorphin releasing agent it makes you feel good after. You can release stress and clear your head have some time to ponder while youre exercising this helps in decision-making as life always changes. Make the change to start and commit by joining a gym it helps to stay consistently persistent and persistently consistent and helps to stay accountable to the new change for a better lifestyle.

They need to the ac up and or add some fans. Other than that, this gym is very very nice and I would recommend it to everyone. I like that its not packed with a million people like the Talbert location. The outdoor pool is killer. It enables you to catch a tan while doing laps. Nice job.

Clean. Weight room and equipment is pretty extensive but basically any amenities are extra. They’re constantly trying to open something new to make more money, so they’ll take up more space for their new something. There’s only 2 water fountains and one was broke for a couple months. Busy in the evenings.

Best LA fitness location I have been to out of 5.. its a huge space, SUPER clean, well ventilated. It has a decent class schedule though I havent taken any of the classes yet but the evening yoga always has a good turnout from what Ive seen. There are a lot of machines, and lots of duplicates, which means never having to wait! Seriously the best part is how clean and airy it is, and never crowded.

I am a member for few years so far and only today I tried my 1st assessment with the trainer. I was really unhappy about the experience. First it was not a demo training after which you really want to buy lessons. It was short not thought through and did not consider my health problems I told about to the instructor. There was no pre and post warm up or stretching. He just loaded me with heavy exercises my body was not ready to. Definitely not a good sales pitch. But frustrating part is how they push you to buy private classes. Too pushy. Not nice at all. I think management has to overlook their sales strategies with personnel. For me they took away any interest of even thinking to get a personal trainer with their sales and demo methods .

Came for a quick workout while on vacation with a guest pass and Megan got me hooked up quickly and was super friendly.

Ive been to a few LA Fitnesss around SoCal and this has to be one of the best. First of all people will put the weights back. Granted its not always in the same place but you have to appreciate the effort. Its a fairly large facility and Ive very rarely ever had trouble not finding a bench or a machine I couldnt work on. Great place w/ smart employees.

This LA fitness location is probably their best one, super nice and huge, and a pool. I got a great deal here and have been very happy with them.

One of the better locations in the area. Others have a free sauna and typically more equipment, but if you dodge the peek times its generally decent. This is one of the few locations with decent showers although it seems the cleanliness isnt very consistent. Dont complain about the mildew because it falls upon deaf ears and the next thing you know theyll just remove all the shower curtains like other locations instead of spending the time and money doing proper cleaning and maintenance. The worst thing is the sales department. Unprofessional, pushy and theyll lie to your face. Most of the reception employees are professional, and helpful to a certain degree but are limited in their abilities and have to direct you to sales/managers aka douches.

Use to be better when. You didnt have crossfit equipment taking up space of other equipment and its to bussy now

The newest / best / cleanest gym in Orange County. When I moved here recently this gym was a big reason I chose to live in HB, the gym is an essential part of my daily routine and this place is so nice. Its well lit, plenty of natural lighting as well, and its clean and well-arranged. The staff is awesome, Ive become acquainted with many of them and they know me by name and welcome me everyday. Glad to make the switch back to LA Fitness recently, well worth it.

Too many projects going on in that tight little space. It was cramped before but now its a weird maze with projects like stretch, sauna and hydration therapy?!They should have expanded the kids area instead as its tiny and gets quite hostile with kids from every age group playing and running around trying to use the same play equipment... Really missing the one we had in Seattle (excellent trained staff that knew how to handle kids + not cramped 👍)

Very poor customer service. The young lady that works the front desk will barely give you the time of day because she is too busy talking to the male trainers/salesmen. It took me almost 2 months to cancel my membership because the Operations Manager was at lunch every time I came in and apparently that is the only person that can cancel a membership. The young ladies at the front desk took my information every time I tried canceling my membership and I was told someone would contact me within the next few days (never happened). Might as well go to just about any other gym for a third of the price with people that are willing to answer questions.

Great gym. But you need to be a member. They can give you your first visit for free.

Waiting to swim is now the norm :( Men not showering before entering the pool is gross and disgusting. Last week I waited 45 min to swim only to be bombarded by 4, yes 4, middle aged men who smelt like 1979, none of them showered either prior to entering the pool. It should be MANDATORY for EVERYONE to shower before swimming. As I left, I couldnt help but notice the nasty smell permeating throughout the entire facility, like dirty socks. Please get it together LA Fitness

Re-thinking about gym pass. The facility is nice and clean unfortunately the hours are horrible for a gym. When they first opened, they said it would stay open later once enough people signed up but now they are not. Then there last class ( night yoga )ends at 9pm so the room was open but the cleaning people kick you out and you can not use it for the rest of the night. They should really be cleaning it after hours or at least start right before they close, not 2 hours before for the people who would like to use it.

I went to this gym as a walk in, as I do every week, as I travel every week. They were very friendly and super helpful. This is a very clean and nice gym. They have just about every type of equipment a person could want! I will definitely be back.

I went in last night for a tour of the facility eager, and with an open mind for a healthier lifestyle. What I got instead was a high pressure sales assault by Max and some personal trainer ready to advise me on exercise, nutrition, and motivation. All I wanted was to see the gym. I spent three years in the United States Marine Corps, Im pretty damn sure I know what to eat and how to exercise! I walked out of LA Fitness feeling like I was being sold a used car. I would tone down the bling, the bells, and the whistles guys. Youre just going to lose clients with your pushy tactics.

The gym is really nice like the other ones. It is just a little bit smaller than the average LA fitness in OC but that shouldnt matter. Dont listen to the bad reviews. I havent noticed anything wrong with the gym or the staff.

Brought a friend to this gym to try the gym and they said no without a guest pass. I got the guest pass then was told I couldnt use it the same day I received it.Than a manager named Brock who at first said he cant give me his name due to social media policy told my friend he should know what a gym has to offer and made a comparison like going to an amusement park. Not only was my friend interested but when I told this manager that his service made me want to cancel my mememember he said well I can help you with that akso with a smerk on his face.I plan on canceling my membership due to the lack of professionalism and customer service, this employee is hurting your business over his personal ego.

On vacation in Newport and went to La Fitness in Huntington Beach to workout. My membership expired two weeks ago as I moved back home and they dont have an La Fitness where I live. I wanted to use the gym for a day down here and went in to see if they would atleast allow me a guest pass for a day. I spoke with the manager Brock at the front desk and he was extremely rude and unprofessional. I couldnt believe the type of customer service I received after being a member for so long and coming in for just a day. The charge for the day pass wasnt the issue, the staff and customer service was. Wouldnt recommend this location as the employees and managers are extremely rude and unwilling to work with you. I was even with two current members and Brock still treated us like he didnt care one bit. He made it so uncomfortable we decided to leave and find another gym. Very disappointed in LA Fitness and their staff.

I have never seen the staff clean the equipment and they don’t provide wipes to clean the machines after use, its gross.

None of the other reviews make sense to me other than maybe the cycling room complaint because I havent done a cycling class there yet. Personally I would try it for yourself and then judge if its the right gym for you. Ive only ever seen guys greeting and scanning cards when you walk-in, no distracted girls as mentioned in another review. Theyre always really nice. The gym is open 7 days a week--there was just a temporary issue with Google posting the wrong hours online but if you took the time to call them you would know they were open. Its clean, nice atmosphere, and Ive never been there where I couldnt walk up and use a machine I wanted (might have mixed up the order of the weight machines I use so I didnt have to wait)--so size wise the gym is perfect for what I need. My son and I prefer the outdoor pool. Its heated and theres an awesome lounging area, so if you want to work on your tan you can. I didnt give it 5 stars because I havent tried the classes yet and honestly theres always room for improvement at any gym.

Full of CLOWNS from the front desk up to the manager!UPDATE: POS organization, they want to charge me a year renewal that would expire December 2021 (today is 4/2/21). The front desk clown and his “manager” tried to sell me new membership for another $120 more a year. Save the trouble and sign up with your local clubs.Clean gym, I live close by, super convenient. Terrible weekend opening hours. Who opens at 8am. The rest of the gym world opens by 6am during the weekend. Ive multiple excuses, but non of makes sense.

I also eagerly waited for this location to be opened - I live very close, and thought, I will bicycle and save gas. However, incredibly silly hours on a weekend - opens at 8 am - I was told security issues, due to being in a strip mall (Starbucks few doors down opens at 5 am), and the pool is small - 3 lanes and gets very busy.. Also, as they open late, there is STILL a pool maintenance going on, so it is impossible to even start swimming. The FV location is far from me, and the pool is even worse (one side only 2.5 feet deep).. Disappointed..

I could not wait for this gym to be built since I live very close but it is not what I expected. The cycle room is extremely hot. The instructor was screaming so loud that I could not hear the music to get in the zone but went home with a headache. What is this with reserving your cycle. Really! The front desk seems to be clueless about everything. I will see about going to another gym or commute to Fountain Valley. Their cycle room is nice and cool and the instructors dont scream but give good instruction to ride to.

I have had various LA fitness memberships with no issues in the past. Recently I went to this location and Osirus(sp?) assisted me over the phone with starting my membership. I explained that I just need the membership for 3 months to get in shape before my wedding, and that after the 3 months Id be cancelling, he said no problem. I asked him if I would be locked into a contact, and if there would be any penalty fee for cancelling - He assured me I could cancel anytime and that I wasnt locked into a contract. Now I am trying to cancel and find out that he locked me into a 1 year contract and I have to pay a 50% fee to cancel!! I was lied to. I have called LA fitness, they said they would get back to me and no one has. I called the manager Brock in the HB location, explained the situation and he made it clear couldnt have cared less! I called back and asked to speak to someone above him and he hung up on me. Horrible customer service... I will never work with LA fitness again

They should clean up the cardio machines and install paper towel stations near the machines, right now I have to walk all the way to the other side to get paper and foam.
