Best rental car experience in a long time. They actually really clean their vehicles. Small office but big hearts and great customer service. Sergio is incredible on customer service. Thanks for restoring my faith that you can still have people who care about their service to customers!!!
Made a reservation for 8am over a week in advance and was asked to come back an hour later as it was not ready. Had to be somewhere important, a courtesy call would have been nice at least

The customer service at this place is terrible.Picked up my rental on 06/07 at 9am. The manager or shift manager was very rude. Next time I will rent at SNA.Updated 09/10/2021. CS reached out to me to rectify the situation. Offered one day rental.

I rent thru Avis everyday. I am frustrated and irate how long it takes for you to release hold off my credit card. What gives you the right to hold up my access to available credit thru my financial institution for 10 days and then 7 days for a charge to be finalized. This is how you lose customers, especially EVERYDAY CUSTOMERS!!!
I called first, he told me what was available at that location and it was quick and easy and the rental was a nice, clean vehicle. I even had to rerent the same vehicle shortly after returning it. That process was even easier and he made sure I went through USAA to get my military discount. Great overall experience.

Horrible place to rent from booked online went to pick up car and was told there were no cars available how does a business rent you something that they dont have its bad business in my eyes Avis car rentals lost my business I would think twice about renting from HB Avis

Very nice family run business, always great service, especially Sergio whom I dealt with many times. Friendly staff and our rentals have always been very clean. We use them through the Costco Travel site, under car rentals and get a better deal, plus no charge for the second driver.

Easy to rent, definitely will always rent there,especially the fact that Avis never puts a hold on your credit card,ever,just the amount of the charge of the rental,which makes it convenient for someone on a budget..

I felt your customer service man was rude and not very thoughtful to my needs nor what I liked. Gave me a car with a nail in the tire. That it why I was only able to drive the car for 57 miles in the weeks that I had it,. .
Bait and switch pricing. My initial booking quote was for $68 and when I picked up the car it was $109, and when I returned it less than 24 hours later, it was $145. I was also sent to the wrong address when I returned it (This address was on the printout from the rental agency) and got charged extra for returning to the next closest location, and for extra gas. That’s more than twice the original quote. I will NEVER use Avis again and I will tell everyone I know about your scammy practices. When a booking quote says $68, it should actually cost that, and not OVER TWICE that. You can talk “fees” and “optional” fine print charges but it’s total bs because the price should be what you say it is without a bunch of surprise fees. and it doesn’t instill confidence in your company or business practices and I will never rent a car from this company again.
So so so good. Perfect customer service picking up and returning. The quality of the vehicle was beyond what I expected. This is a very well run business with nice, friendly people.
The staff was super nice. They were helpful in answering all of my questions and the car was clean with a full tank of fuel. The return was very easy.

Everytime I visit my family there in Cali, I rent a car from this specific location. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The price is always right and I never have any problems. 5🌟 worthy for sure!
Worst customer service Ive had in a long time. I would expect more from Avis. Basically called me a liar and charged me extra for gas even though I had topped it off at the gas station across the street from their location. When I questioned the agent about the extra charges, he was billigerent and self serving. Also, I could not communicate with them directly when I was trying to arrange an earlier drop off. I tried multiple times in the span of four hours. Their local phone number went directly to the corporate call center, no back up number, no email. Even corporate could not find a way to communicate with this location. The SUV I rented was dirty and had trash left inside from the previous renter. I rent cars about two or three times a month and have a fairly large frame of reference. This was very poor customer service. I would definitely recommend you go elsewhere if you need to rent a vehicle. Enterprise is just down the road and offers consistent superior customer service. I will not give Avis another chance to prove me wrong and will stick with Enterprise or any other rental car company in the Huntington Beach area.

EXCELLENT customer service. Quick, easy and after I left I realized I needed a different type of vehicle. I called them drive back and they had it waiting for me. The guy there on in the afternoon on Wednesday, February 7 was super helpful and friendly and efficient. I almost prepaid the gas but he reminded me of the size of the gas tNk to ensure I would use it all which I would not do I didn’t prepay. He was looking out for me. Vehicle was in great shape. Smooth pick up. Smooth drop off at the airport. First time using Avis. I will use again and when back in CA in that area I will use the HB Avis. Thank you

This company thinks its okay to steal money from a dead person who was unable to return the car on time because he DIED. Tried to explain this to the unethical, rude man named Mohammed but he did not want to listen at anything from the start. No sympathy, and no care in the world about stealing hundreds of dollars from a 3 year old who was left with out a dad.I called customer service, who ended up just calling Mohammed and said he was rude to them as well. It is hard enough losing a loved one and having to deal with their affairs after their gone. The way we were treated was disgusting.
This place was great! We made a last minute reservation at 10pm, were picked up the next morning by Avis, and were on the road in 10 minutes. Couldnt have been better.

The worst AVIS ever! Do not go there!1)This Huntington Beach AVIS is independently owned by a family (more specifically a couple). This means that there is only one person (Fez) and at most two people in the office to attend to customers needs. Most of the time, there is only one person, the owner-Fez, in the office so he has to close the office to give a ride to a customer. (It seems like they do so to save the cost of hiring a driver, but they do not think about the fact that they are losing their business.) Unlike any other AVIS that I have experienced, they are not professionally trained and their knowledge & skills are sub-par.2) The owner of this AVIS has no sense of customer service. When I returned my car earlier today, he repeatedly asked me if I filled up the tank. He was yelling and not being courteous at all. (I think.... why do you need to ask?? Just check the tank and you will see.... )3) When I arrived at my bodyshop, Fez refused to help me unload some stuff in the back of the car due to his neck pain. He did not even pretend to help me. (He did not even get out of the car when I was unloading so much stuff from the trunk)4) Possible fraudulent recording: I only drove the rental car 37 miles and, on the receipt, Fez recorded that I drove 100 miles. When I asked him why, he stated that he did so to avoid the extra charges which can occur if a renter drove under 45 miles. I do not believe in his reasoning. The receipt should show the mileage accurately and any AVIS waives a charge for gas if a receipt is present.5) Possible fraudulent reviews on Yahoo: I read some reviews on Google reviews & Yahoo : There is a strong evidence that Fez is manipulating the reviews. He is the worst manager I have ever dealt with.The bottom line: If you use this AVIS, you will be very sorry. To get your moneys worth, I recommend that you do not use this AVIS and go somewhere else. From my experience, LAX AVIS was pretty good. This AVIS does not deserve your business.
This place evidentially does not care about customers as I had a reservation for 5pm and originally did not need till Monday due to their scheduling and being closed at 2pm Sunday...so I agreed to keep car till Monday 9am. I have signed up for a non refund skydiving AFF class in San Diego and now have no way to get there and not sure if they can get me a car. So now I could possibly be out $400 for my initial class...why could the manager not call me? This is absolutely ridiculous. Now I’m standing here waiting to be assisted.

Unprofessional and not up front about rental policies. I arrived and the person at the counter was less than friendly. Made different claims than the person on the phone. Everyone including the 2 guys in the back had a sleazy, unprofessional vibe (mostly their attire).
I wasnt a big fan of the customer service on the phone or in person. Everything else was fine.
