Ron and his team have been nothing but amazing for the few years Ive been bringing my 07 wagon to his shop. Just crossed the 200k mark with flying colors. His honest opinion of part maintenance/urgency and quality of work speaks for itself, and he has helped through a triage-situation in order to keep the car running at top-notch specs. One of the best Ive ever worked with.

Went in to get my battery programmed for my mini cooper, and found out my footwell module was out. Instead of telling me and fixing it to charge me themselves, they were kind enough to tell me that mini cooper had it under extended warranty so they would fix it for free if I went there. They could have easily fixed it there and charged me, but they sent me so I could get it done for free and I absolutely appreciate that. Will go to them in the future!

Add about 2-3hrs to any time quoted. Most recently, I called ahead saying I need an oil change and service. Was quoted no more than an hour and after being there for 2 hours I was told it would be another 2 hours for the service and all they did was the oil change! What a waste of my time and money.Coast motor werk is great but this location is horrid to deal with. Never coming back.

Took BMW to Valvoline to get oil replaced and car was leaking afterwards. After two visits and still leaking, I took my car to CMW in Huntington Beach. Later that morning I was told “just as I expected, the oil pan was damage/cracked and needed replaced”. Estimated cost $1400. I asked for oil pan so I can take to Valvoline for cost of damage. After repairs, I was looking at pan and no visible damage could be seen. The owner could not find damage either. Why the replacement? At this point I was not happy. Car continued to leak and had to take back to CMW twice before they changed oil. The wrong oil was put into car which caused the issue. A pan should not be replaced with no visible damage. During the three visits CMW said the alternator needed replaced. Took it to dealer, since the thermostat went out during these repairs, and they disagreed. Alternator is fine. Stay away from CMW Huntington Beach. I have zero confidence in them!!! They called me after an angry message just to say they made all the right choices. Of course they did....-

I really hated going to my BMW dealer to get my mini serviced. They always made the whole process so mysterious. I always felt in the dark about what was going on w/ my car. That is the reason I really am happy I found CMW. They actually explain to you whats wrong with your car. They dont seem to mind the many questions I ask them. The works always been done the same day. They are always friendly and their shop is clean and inviting. They know what they are doing and I feel confident that they know how to treat my mini right. I feel that I am getting a better deal for my money than I would at the dealer.

This is a friendly professional business where I felt that my concerns were important. They took me in immediately after I phoned to look at what I was worried about. They also offered to pick up my car or give me a ride if it would make it easier for me. I appreciate the personal service and for taking the time to explain things to me. A+

Ron and his crew have not only done a fantastic job taking care of my car, but have also been incredibly professional and courteous. I will never let any one else work on my vehicle. Ron and the crew over there are on the level. They are extremely knowledgeable and have a deep pool of experience; including many former BMW factory mechanics who were looking for a shop where they could actually practice their craft and not be relegated to fluid and filter change monkeys (guys that enjoy the challenge of wrenching great motoring machines.)The prices are most always better than the dealership and youll receive a far more personable touch from guys that care about your car. That said, lets also be real here, If you drive a BMW and have to ask, How much? ...you probably should be driving something else that comes from Japan. Quality and pride of ownership isnt free. These guys will make it as manageable as possible when it comes to the bill, however, you must understand that they must pay to keep the talent in the garage.The garage is always full, especially on Fridays, but I believe that is more a positive reflection on their dedication to their business and expertise. This is a super friendly, knowledgeable and fair shop. Ron is extremely friendly and helpful in determining what exactly the car needs versus what it could use, but is not a necessity. I brought my X5 in for some extensive repairs and was pleased that there was no attempt to upsell me. Ron helped me determined what needed to be done right away and what could wait.

I have been going to Coast Motor Werk for a year & have gotten great services. Not unlike many service facilities they also do forget to contact me to pickup my car. Since I live in Long Beach, I couldnt just walk to them as I do with my other car service facility. Otherwise, I have been very happy with them.

Coast Motor Werk is an excellent BMW service center. They are courteous, efficient, organized, honest, and responsive. The car is always fixed right and ready as promised. The staff is very helpful and informative.

Im really thankful I was referred to Ron and the crew at Coast Motor Werk. Every time they pick up the phone I feel like Im talking to my trusty neighbourhood mechanic. They know my car very well, always give me an honest assessment of what I need done, and save me a lot of money over the dealer. I only wish they had a location further north

These guys are professional, extremely knowledgeable about Mini Coopers, and- most importantly- honest. They are all certified in Mini repair and maintenance, and I wont trust my car to anyone else. Its easy to make an appointment and once youre there you can take advantage of the free wi-fi and coffee, or if need be, theyll arrange a ride until your car is done. My only regret is that I didnt try these guys sooner.

George and the whole shop were a friendly group of people. I brought my e36 in for a new alternator and they had it fixed in no time. Also they threw in a free full-point inspection that led them to finding that my wheel bearing was in bad shape causing my car to vibrate, which I thought was an alignment issue.I took the car into the dealership a month prior to get Check Engine Light situated and the dealership didnt tell me about my wheel bearing in the full-point inspection that I paid for...George explained the severity of the situation and he had me back on the road the next day. Now the car is running smoother than ever and is far more enjoyable without the vibrations.Thanks George I will be coming back in the future because Coast Motor Werk is less expensive than the dealer and more thorough in its work.

I purchased my M3 from here and have had the best times cruising the mean streets of Huntington Beach. Im pretty hard on the car, and its made a few trips back to see CMW on the flatbed.... I never worry about whether or not theyll be able to fix it nor do I think I will be charged for work I dont need. The entire operation is legit and mechanics, service writers and everyone else to make up the team top shelf. I would highly recommend CMW to anybody with a Bimmer.

My wife and I were out today to find a repair shop for our 328i close to home here in Huntington Beach. After visiting Autowerks I decided to go by Coast Motor Werk to get another opinion on the work and service our car requires. Have to say I was aghast when the guy who I spoke with in the office abruptly told me we needed to make an appointment for any consultation on our car. Can honestly say that I have never been put off like this while seeking service advise for any car I have owned. Needless to say it was a waste of our time driving all the way across town and somebody should teach this very rude person something about customer service. Will be taking our car to Autowerks where we were treated like they wanted our business.

Some guy from this company driving a light blue Mini Cooper 7-22-2017, decides that im not allowed to slow down to look for an address, when im on the opposite side of the road. So I get the Whole F You M-fer!! What kind of psychos work at this place, this kind of behavior and only half block from his place of business?

Took my X3 to diagnostically find all what had to be done. (CMW office, grounds and work area was exceptionally clean and orderly.)Found that there were lots of mechanical work to be completed and even tires to change. Ron was very courteous and professional and made me feel confident that I had brought my car to the right place. After 3 days of working on my car, I felt assured that my X3 would run smoothly. Sure enough, everything felt sound, and I even got exceptional milage since then. I will definitely take my car to CMW for all work to be done.

Have been taking my 09 M3 to Ron since the warranty has run out for routine services and have been very happy. He is genuinely interested in doing the right thing for the customer (unlike the dealerships I have seen in the area which are primarily interested only in up-selling). He is very knowledgeable about BMWs, much more so than many dealership service advisors.I have also had CMW do some minor body work and mechanical repair to the undercarriage of my car after hitting some freeway debris. Ron was professional and coordinated the bumper refinishing with Quality Craft flawlessly. Very happy with his work and recommend him unconditionally.

Ive been coming to CMW for about 5 years now and Im so glad someone put that business card on my windshield because I discovered a place where you can take your bimmer in a relax atmosphere and feel that you are not being ripped off. You can enter the bay station and actually watch your car being worked on by Rons many dedicated employees whose main and only goal is to get your BMW back to running in tip top shape. I believe that honesty in people is very important and Ron certainly tells you like it is. No upsell, just honest and fair and reasonable estimate to fix your car. Ron and his team are very friendly and professional. Ive been trusting my 750iL to CMW for several years. Theres no upsell or pressure to do any service thats not recommended. Prices are great for the quality of work and usage of OEM products. Ive been going to Coast Motor Werk since they opened down the street from my office several years ago. CMW is the ideal alternative to the dealer service department. Theyre fully equipped to work on everything from modern BMWs to classics, so I trust CMW for all my bimmers, from my 91 325iC to my 08 M5.I like the way CMW staff explain repairs in clear, easy to understand language, and if there are any options, theyre also explained. The shop is bright, clean, and organized, and cars are treated with unsurpassed care as work is carried out in a timely way.

I have a 96 BMW Z 3 Roadster. Forever I took my car to the delaership because I was hesitant about taking my car anywhere else. About a year ago my car was due for a inspection II and I called my dealership to ask them how much it would be and what it included. When they told me the price I was floored. I started doing a bunch of research and came to the BMW owners forum. Through reading posts there I learned that one of the things that the dealership told me I was going to need to have done as part of my inspection II was not even possible on my car (i.e. my aircabin filter cannot be replaced becasue my car does not have one). After reading hundreds of posts I saw so many people saying that when they had problems that the delearship could not figure out that they brought their car to Coast Motor Werk. I said that is where I needed to go. I took my car there for the inspection II and they did a full inspection of my car. They found out other things that needed attention, but instead of trying to push me to have them all done at once, they went through the list and told me what things were critical and what things could wait. I will be taking my car there forever now. I only wish I had found these guys sooner as I would have saved a lot of money compared to the delearship.

Will not go back to this company and i will not recommend them. People that charge a evaluation fee (refunded half of it) and do not get it right are not who you should go to in my opinion.

CMW kept the M5 a long time, couldnt produce a solution to the service engine soon light...wanted to do a lot of unnecessary maintenance...this experience has been typical of BMW shops in the LA/Orange county area.
