SCMC managed our community pool on behalf of our HOA and consistently failed to meet service level agreements. Our pool was closed at peak times and on weekends because they were not providing the lifeguards the company was contracted to provide. Our community eventually had to close the pool for the season early. What a debacle. If you are seeking pool management services, I would definitely suggest looking elsewhere.

Our HOA management for Kensington Village in Mooresville hired this company to manage our pool cleaning and lifeguard staff. They did a great job taking out our furniture several months before our Memorial Day opening weekend so it could be weathered, become moldy, ignored. We’re paying for lifeguards but they are never there. The pool is filthy, and I’m pretty sure our bathrooms are a breeding ground for new diseases. We often have to supply our own tp and paper towels.

They are the pool company for our housing development. We very rarely have lifeguards and our pool is dirty and rarely cleaned. Our HOA has reached out to them and our management company with little effect.

Scmg is the worst company ever. I worked for them for two years and I will never go back. Lifeguarding is supposed to be fun and enjoyable but scmg makes it miserable. Last year they had internationals come in to help out, they would make them work doubles everyday until they left and there living conditions were horrible. Most of them didn’t even have one day off. When I would tell the company I was sick or had something to do they needed proof that I wasn’t lying and would get angry with me saying I “owe” them. When I put in my last day of work they still scheduled me the next week everyday. This is the worst company to work for and I would never tell anybody to work for them. I hated every second of going to work for them hoping it would rain on the days I was scheduled. Don’t ever work for this company so many people are leaving because of how terrible they are.

This is my fourth summer working with the company and I can honestly say it has taught me a variety of professional skills which has proven to be very useful in other settings. There is great room for promotions and hours for those who are looking for a flexible summer job. I would highly recommend the company as an employer. To those looking to contract a pool company, SCMG will take good care of your facility and be quick to listen to and address concerns.

Supposedly this company manages our pool however it is constantly being closed and they put locks on it. IT IS OUR POOL that we pay for and own. They are paid to do a job only. But they do not clean the pool or maintain. We will be replacing this pool company.

I wish I could put 0 stars. I had the absolute worst time of my life while working with this company. I worked for this company for 2 summers and have no idea why I came back for a second year. The managers and regional managers treated me with utter disrespect every time I had an encounter with them. For a 16 year old looking for a summer job, I did not expect to have to work 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. I dreaded going to this job every time because of how miserable it made me. Overall, I will never recommend this company to anyone and I will never return.

SCMG has managed our neighborhood pool for the past couple summers now. Every year we’ve had great lifeguards. They’re always so attentive and friendly, even when my kids still try to swim in the rain. Thank you for hiring a great staff year after year! My family appreciates it.

This is our first year having SCMG managing our facility and it is going much smoother than any of the previous management companies. They are proactive about everything they can control and extremely reactive with everything they cannot. I would highly recommend using them.

I dont even have the words to explain the experiences I had working for this company. As far as managing your pool, if thats what youre looking for, I can assure you they will do that. If you are considering SCMG as your place of employment however, it can be very extraneous. While the company has attempted to satisfy their employees, it is very difficult for them to do so because of their low rate of employment. When it came to the last weeks of the season, I was essentially forced into working 60 hours a week because no one else could. While that didnt really bother me, its a fair warning to anyone thinking about working for them.

They have such an amazing team to work with. I been with SCMG for 2 years and I wouldn’t pick a different company to work for over the summer. I’ve learned so much from them all such as teamwork, leadership skills, patients, and more.

HOW DISAPPOINTING! I had a Kindergarten graduation celebration party planned for my son and his ENTIRE class and their families. I was contacted at 5:59 (party to start at 6:30) that the party would have to be canceled due to glass in the pool. After speaking with a plethora of incompetent people, including life guards, pool manager and district manager, nobody took responsibility for this. The rules clearly state NO GLASS IN POOL AREA. It is unfortunate that staff hired and paid to enforce rules fail to do so and it leads to 20 disappointed six year olds ready to celebrate their first year of school. NOT ONCE did anyone take responsibility or apologize - they were quick to say its nobodys fault, this could not have been helped. Negligent. Negligent. Negligent. And nobody would even acknowledge the negligence.

This company is contracted to clean our pool for our HOA. They have done such a poor job that the health department actually closed our pool last week. When the company was contacted they had every excuse in the book including “it was hot out” . Since then they said they would be on top of things, but there has been little improvement. They do not clean what they are supposed to when that are supposed to leaving the pool unusable and unsafe.

We love having SCMG manage our pool! They not only manage our pool, but were able to do repairs too! Definitely recommend them!

Swim Club is one of the worst pool management companies Ive ever encountered. Benji is a real slacker and his boss DJ is even worse. If they are talking theyre lying. Their fulfillment rate is near zero and our pool looks like a disaster. SAD! They purposely broke some of our pools mechanisms and replaced at a 900% profit. Our new company quoted at 1/10th the price. And were told this is not new for them. They have a long track record of deception and fraudulent business practices. You really know youre getting to them when Benji plays the My brother owns the company card. SAD!

This pool company manages our community pool and to say that their service is subpar would be an understatement. DHEC actually closed the pool about two weeks ago when they came out to inspect it because of the low (basically non existent) chlorine levels. It doesn’t seem like anyone here cares about not only the cleanliness of the pool but also the safety and health issues that an improperly treated public pool can cause. Despite numerous calls and complaints nothing changes.

SCMG hired me as a lifeguard in May 2012 for my first job. Between then and now, I have been promoted to Head Lifeguard and then as a Manager. SCMG has an extremely professional, dedicated, full-time staff that works diligently to ensure that all wants and needs are met not only for their pools, but also for their employees. By working with SCMG, I was taught what true responsibility, dedication, and hard work is in the workplace. Swim Club Management Group helped me improved on my work ethic and assisted in my growth as an employee, student, and leader. Throughout these five years with SCMG, I have also made lifelong friends that I hangout with every summer and at school, making four long hours away from home feel a little closer. I have truly enjoyed working with Swim Club Management Group and I plan to continue working for this company every summer until I graduate college!!
