My mom has a few issues with her teeth/gums and chose this office to rectify those issues. She said they were genuinely interested in her well being! This place is an exceptional dentist office. I have always been taken care of Dr. Barton is my dentist and his assistant Danny I love them dearly I do not want him to retire he always manages to take care have any issues that I might have he is exceptional! Dr. Ravari is also exceptional he performed an implant he and his assistant are very patient and kind he did an exceptional job. The office staff has always been kind and friendly and managed to help me in any way that I needed help such as payment plans I wont go anywhere else I love Southern Dental! Chris is also awesome he takes care of anything that I need hes always there to help! I give this office 5 stars they have helped me tremendously thank you to all of you God bless

DR RAVARI Does an AMAZING job with dental IMPLANTS as well as other restorative treatment. He makes sure the patients are comfortable and informed about EVERYTHING he does before he even works on your teeth. I had him do a crown and have heard and seen ridiculously good results with his implant patients. I’m sending my family members and friends to him!!!

Dentist was very unprofessional and had very poor customer service skills. He was very rude and could care less about the patient. He walked out after getting frustrated with his skill level. He even tried to blame it all on the assistant and have her finish the job for him. She was overwhelmed and knew it wasn’t her job to finish his mess up.

Dr. Ravari didnt fix a cavity but crowned the tooth an left infection in the tooth. Then after going in for a year saying there was pain from that same tooth he supposedly fixed, he denied any antibiotics and said nothing was wrong. After a year and a half he finally referred to a specialist. The specialist said that the infection that was left in tooth had spread to the tooth next to it, and that now both teeth needed root canals when all that was need was a crown to begin with. Went thr entire year with sinuses clogged not being able to breathe through nose. He said it was his fault and would cover the crowns but now its time to cover crowns and he says he has to charge for the one he didnt touch before even though his mistake is what caused the spread, coming from a specialist. They always charged $800 for a crown and now its $1750 for some strange reason 🤔. Worst dentist ever!! Con artists that rob you if you let them!! Recommend and different dentist or Make Ya Smile in Kingwood where crowns are $850 and have a 5 star rating

The most EFFICIENT dentist/office I have ever experienced. Felt severe tooth pain that needed an extraction. My original dentist moved like a turtle and couldnt schedule me till the end of next month. I couldnt handle my pain any longer. Whereas this dentist, was quick and got me in the same day for consultation and the next day for extraction (on a SATURDAY at that). Im feeling better than ever. Thank you!

The front desk staff is great and I loved my dentist but the nurse is terrible! I could do a better job! She cut my gums with the suction, couldn’t figure out how to xray my tooth without pressing down while I was crying in pain until the dentist came in and did it in a second without touching my tooth! She did not follow the dentist instructions which led to doing things multiple times. She booked me an appointment and thank god I called the day before because it was not there I had to book another time which completely inconvenienced my work day. They lost my crown and took hours to call back and say they found it. The place looks like it should be shut down! It’s dirty and nasty and you just feel like your going to catch something just by breathing in the air. I have to go back for my crown and I am seriously dreading it! Wish I could get a refund and go somewhere else.

I would recommend Southern Dental of Deerbrook to my closest friends and relatives. The office staff is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very patient. Dr. Barton is, without question, the best dentist I have ever had. We hope he never retires! He is clearly dedicated to helping the patient and he knows the art of dentistry. He always attempts to solve the problem in the least invasive, most economical way that is best for the patient. My husband and I have moved from the immediate area and we still drive back to Southern Dental of Deerbrook.

It was an amazing visit. Dr. Ravari and his assistant Pricilla were very professional they had their protective equipment on I had some treatment completed; it was completely painless. I went ahead and got an oral cancer screening everything came back perfect it was the best visit I have had ever.

This dental office feels more like a used auto dealership than an actual dental clinic, they pressure you to do financing & even with my dental insurance they overpriced procedures. They over do it with the X-ray’s taking tons to charge my insurance & truly seem to be all about the $, it was a true waste of time to go to this location. They way that they pressure their pts they would be great at selling used cars. Awful place don’t waste your time.

I wish I could give them no stars. This place was a complete waste of time. All they want is to take your money. If you have insurance, do not bother with this place. I pay a lot for my health care and dental. Deep cleaning is covered 100% yet they still where trying to charge me $220 - $340. The price changed 3 times. Finally, after TWO AND A HALF HOURS they wore me down and I agreed to pay for a service that should be free but still couldn’t do it today and they wanted to reschedule for another day. Probably, so we can do this dance again and charge me even more for a free service. So glad I took off today to waste almost 3 hours and still not get my teeth clean. At least I don’t have any cavities...

For the first time ever I experienced the most amazing service. I mean from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I walked out. I loved the new Dr and Mrs.. Anne the hygienist was the best. No one likes the dentist but they changed that for me. Thanks a bunch

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEAD!!!! After checking in we waited for over an hour with NO response! Two other individuals made it to the back before we did. I stopped waiting, went to the counter, canceled the appointment and went to another dentist. They also have hidden fees. I will never waste another dollar here. If there was a way for me to add zero stars I would. If I pay for a service I am a big stickler for customer service. This location lacks customer service in a major way!

Sat for an hour filling out paperwork and then was told I had to reschedule visit. To date 7/30havent gone back because I cant take the double anxiety. Dentist and Mall.Went back on August 11th. If you have insurance call from office and verify everything they are charging for. I gave them over $1400 to much and am getting nowhere with them for a refund. Insurance company said I may have to file insurance fraud on them.Chris said a thousand dollars was for chair time and adjustments. My insurance company said 6 months of adjusting was included in price of partials. So if the money isnt recovered by insurance company then I have to file insurance fraud to state insurance commissioner. After that small claims court. That would be Chris, insurance clerk, and owner.Got money back through insurance company 7 months later.

They have been a true blessing since day one! The office staff are very friendly and helpful. The clinic is very clean, using the most up to date technology. My dentist is Dr. Barton. He is very knowledgeable very thorough and extremely professional. I have been seeing Dr. Barton for some 15 years and have never been disappointed in his diagnosis nor his treatment. Even though we have moved to the west side of town I still make the drive to this clinic and it is because of Dr. Barton.

Wonderful location Dr Barton was very nice and took care of my broken tooth, and the front staff was very nice as well they worked with me on a payment plan and made it very easy.. Would recommend this office to anyone!!

Saw Dr. Barton in September to have a small cavity filled. Worst experience ever with a dentist. A month later the tooth aches. It didnt hurt before I went in. My jaw still hurts at the injection site, and I cannot open my mouth fully. Will never go back.

I love my dentis Dr. Barton and my hygienist Mrs. Lakeisha. They are awesome. However, the billing department is not the best. I feel like they are always looking to charge me/my insurance a crazy amount and force things on me that I either don’t need or don’t want. Too much pressure for more funds. If my dentist nor hygienist recommends it, I don’t think the billing department should. Nor should they automatically charge me for something I decline or choose to wait on for future services.

Lakeisha was very knowledgeable and patient and answered all my questions. I work in customer service and and know what it means to listen to the customer and she does that. I learned a lot during my visit. Plan on seeing them throughout my dentist needs. I would add the Dr. Ravari (spelling may be incorrect) needs to have more patience with the customers. The receptionist and Lakeisha made the visit worth it and the guy that went over the estimates with me. Hats off to y’all 3. Still a little concerned about the Doctor when it comes to customer service.

They were right on time for my appointment. Dr. Barton and Martin were wonderful. They have an excellent bedside manner and care about their patients comfort. Any time someone asks for a dental reference I am quick to point them to Southern Dental.

Was great till they lost a longtime dentist and some office staff. Now the person answering the phone treats 15 year customers horrible. Can’t get them to send your records as requested. You are the patient they are your records and you should have the right to have them released to whom you want, especially if the dentist gave you a referral to go see an Oral Surgeon!!!

I’m unhappy with this company because they told my roommate and I that both our appointments would be at 2pm and it turns out one was at 2, and the other one was after. I don’t like being lied to. Nor do I like my time being wasted. I sat for an hour while she went, and she sat for an hour while I went. Wasted time. I won’t be back.

Have been with the practice for over 19 years, even going to the same location and dentist.Recently saw Dr Amal Ali in that clinic . Have to say that she is the kindest, most patient and dedicated Dentist she diligently worked for over four hours on multiple problems and issues of my teeth and gave me frequent breaks, encouraged me to finish the work at my pace. Her assistant Josh was equally persevering and encouraging. I was able to experience pain relief the minute my local sedation wore off. Seriously! If you have multiple, complex problems going on and you want compassion and concern in your care see Dr Ali, Lakisha the dental hygienist and the staff at the deerbrook location. Extremely satisfied with the level of care and follow up. A big thumbs up to Chris and Leslie in the front very courteous and professional.A big 👍👍👍 and thank you.The waiting room is clean and inviting and even though the front office personnel has changed frequently over the years. The service right from the reception to the dentist chair has been good. The wait time always varies but I wont complain about other patients being tardy for their appointments. The rooms where the dentist and hygienists are working are clean, well lit and quiet. The dentist and hygienists are courteous, professional and knowledgeable. There is availability and ease in setting repeat or follow up appointments.

This place was horrible I usually go to the southern dental in the heights and I love it there. Because of a time crunch I chose the southern dental in deerbrook mall. 1st they were short handed I waited a hour and a half before they did my x rays. Then another 40 minutes to interrupt them. Then finally when Im in the chair for a teeth cleaning and whiting the dental assistant took a quick 10minutes if that. My teeth look the same, she didnt remove any plaque or calcium.I call back to tell the manager and she doesnt do anything. I go back in so the dentist and dental assistant can see the horrible job. This place is ridiculous I will never go back.

The people are nice but this is pretty much the most incompetent dental office I ever been too. I came in for a emergency visit because wife chose this dental. They did a good job on the crown from what I seen. But they took my xrays. Then when came back for my cleaning they claim they lost it. Then after having to reschedule multiple times for.cleaning. one because they booked me and then claimed they wewrnt open that day. And today they claim my appointment was doctor booked. So had to rush and come in. Just so they can tell me insurance wont cover me even though they used it fine a few weeks ago for crown.they claimed my dental insurance changed. We always had deltaSo my gums are in a lot of pain and have to suffer another week because front office is giving me the run around.Oh btw they are expensive. Out of pocket 70$ for a regular cleaning. Every cleaning Ive ever had out of pocket was 30$.

We have used this Dental office with the kids and ourselves. I have always been Leary of them because they have a MONEY FIRST thought process! But we needed Dental service and they were convenient.As of today, I REFUSE to ever go there again!I have a toothache that is SCREAMING and all the front desk attendant wanted to do was argue with me over me being in the system or making sure I had my dental insurance coverage in the system! We had already called the people for Southern who makes the appointments and she was amazing! I was ready Saturday when this really was bad, but the appointment person was SO NICE that I decided to wait. BAD MISTAKE!!!If you decide to go, please be aware of the goals of the dentistry. They are MONEY first, Patient LAST!Even IF I could get in, it would be HOURS Later! Even with a screaming tooth and gums. (She emphasized HOURS!)I need to find a place to really complain to.... Patients should NEVER be treated this bad!

I scheduled appointments for both of my kids. 1st one was scheduled for 1:30 and 2nd for 2:30 (what I was told when they called to reschedule me). I signed in at 1:09. Sat there until they called my first child at 2:23. I asked what time my second child would be called and they said she was just scheduled with the hygienist. I told them that I had specifically said when I scheduled that I needed a full doctor/cleaning visit for both of them. Im told at that time that her appointment is for 3 pm (not 2:30 like I was told over the phone). Shes finally called to the back at 3:42 (only after asking the front desk for a second time). Finally walked out at 4:25. Ridiculous! I will NOT be coming back!

First time patient picked S.Fakhriravari. Had alot of work done on Friday and everyone was so great. Cammy was amazing and so was the Dentist including all the staff. Very happy I chose them.

I received a crown from them in July 2014. I went to a new dentist in Summer of 2016 who said they installed it wrong and their was a big piece of material (the crown molding sticking out of the tooth). Well, December 2016 it completely came off. They will now accommodate because I am past my one year warranty. Their dentist did shoddy work, it wasnt the company who made the crown.Do not go to them, try to upgrade your insurance if you can.

My visit was wonderful, the people were kind and caring from my first conversation with the office personal on the phone to the moment I walked out of their office it was truly a great visit. I cant imagine going anywhere else.

Unfortunately, the Dentist there are simply trying to Up-sell you an entire set of teeth, from Crowns to Caps, etc, they simply do not want to work on a little tooth filling.....In addition, the Dentist himself is very unprofessional, too comical, insensitive sales nerd......The Dentists there use many scare tactics by telling you the saddest story about your teeth......After and 30 minutes of just being cornered by the Dentist, my wife and I simply walked out. Its like this location is Desperate for money......We apologize for having to share this terrible experiences.

My daughter had ortho treatment for a year. Every time we have to wait about an hour. Yesterday her appointment canceled without any notice. The ortho doctor is good but their office management is really bad.

Crowns were not correct after waiting 6 weeks for them to come in and another 6 weeks wait for the correct crowns to come in?Temporary bridges came out 6 times while waiting.Teeth color do not match after all that.

Insisted on charging an extra $90 per tooth (D9911) for a procedure insurance does not cover. Will not do D2330 ($45) or D2332 ($60) if I refuse the non-covered procedure.

Two words sum up this place....Horrible and FraudHorrible - they are the most inconsiderate dentist office Ive ever experienced. Waited in the lobby for an hour and a half AFTER my appointment time. Appointment was supposed to be for a filling, but was scheduled for a cleaning instead. The dentists do not work on Friday apparently. I walked out and didnt receive any service.Fraud - Found out today, the hygienist noted in my chart that she cleaned my teeth.

Ive been a patient here for quite some time and the staff alhas always been great, friendly, & caring. Dr. RAVARI is my Dr and he is so patient, caring, patient and gentle. Im not a fan of the dentist and my B/P goes up the minute I step into the doors and the attitude of the staff and Dr help me to relax. The appt times are always great for my schedule and Inwouldnt go anywhere else for my dental work.

My father and I arrived from out of town for an emergency one hour before closure. We were seen and taken care of at once. AWESOME!

I went there a month ago to have some work done, not only did I wait in the waiting room 2 hrs and 20min before I was seen. When I was seen they made me feel bad about the condition of my teeth and they were very rude, unprofessional, unorganized, and the location did not seen clean at all. I will never go there again and the staff needs more training!!!??

They asked me $800 copay for deep clean. I went to Houston smile and was changed $100 only.

I have been seeing Dr. Arias in the Humble office for YEARS. She has the best bedside manner and explains what needs to be done and what your options are.

Made me and my roommate an appointment for a cleaning for the same time was told it would take 45 mins an hour later they still had not started the cleaning or called my roommate back... once they went to start on cleaning they then told me I needed a 2000$ gum treatment and I declined then said they would not be able to do a cleaning on my teeth ... very disappointed with the service at this place do NOT recommend!!!

I retired and moved to north Texas and I refuse to find another Dental office therefore, I drive 5 hours for my appointments so that I can continue to use Deerbrook Southern Dental. I went in just to have a cracked denture repaired. The repair was to cost $468 because I was told mesh would have to be added or it would break again. I was told I should get a new denture also. Cost would be $600 plus the insurance would pay additional $200. The charge was $1,068 on a credit card. I should have been more in control but the office manager (Chris) talked and talked and said I had to have this. When we had the sense to look at what Cigna insurance says, we feel totally taken advantage of. The denture repair should have been $29, not $468. And Cigna says the claim showed that we were charged a $29 copay. The new denture has a copay of $300 with $200 additional insurance being paid to them. So why the huge extra? Lab fees. Additional $200 for the repair (the mesh is a nickle-sized thing in the old denture). $300 extra lab fee for the new denture. The office manager said the new one HAS to have mesh in it too or it will break. I said, So why are you selling crappy dentures if you know theyll break? He said, Maybe its your bite or something. Cigna insurance has been contacted 4 times. They always give the same results, That repair should be $29 and a new denture should be $300 inclusive of everything, no lab fees. The office manager refused to contact Cigna while I was there. When Cigna tried to call them once I was outside the office, the phone had been turned to voice mail. I know that the office manager is going to tell Cigna that I had to have things beyond their coverage. I never wanted that. Im stupid for letting him pressure us into all this. But Im only trying to pay what my insurance says I should. Cigna said that Southern Dental is contracted for services at a certain rate. Thats why I go there. By the way, Ive never been at the Humble office when appointments arent way past appointment time. Its not the dentist that Im extremely dissatisfied with. Its the pressure of the office manager concerning this sale. He just explains away all the extra charges when Cigna says its not that price.

Do NOT go to this dental office!!!!! The staff at this location are the most money hungry, conniving, and deceitful individuals ever. I went for a routine cleaning which was 100% covered by my insurance. Of course I was expecting to pay a few additional fees for fluoride and cavity fillings if needed but these people were constantly trying to pressure me into buying their $100 teeth whitening system and an almost $300 night guard that I didnt NEED!!! So after the millionth time declining the additional services the dental assistant goes well you have a FSA account with plenty money on it. From that point on I knew I would never be coming back. Now 3 months later these folks are calling me out the blue stating I have a $35 balance 90 days past due when I payed my balance in FULL at the time of the visit. The receptionist on the phone Tiffany could not even give a detailed explanation of where the additional fees were coming from and just kept saying they billed the insurance wrong. Just DUMB, save yourself the headache please.

This was about the 3rd time that there has been an scheduling issue upon my arrival. This is about the 3rd time that I have driven all the way to the Deerbrook office just to not be able to get any work done which resulted in a wasted trip and a future scheduled appointment. Its always the same question Who did you talk to when you scheduled the appointment? Well the scheduling department must have made the error. Hopefully one day everyone will be on the same page because it is a HUGE inconvenience to get to the office and things are scheduled wrong and no work can be performed.

If I could give this location below a one I would. I have been going to this location for approx 2 years. Since the time I have been going this location does not care about the patient they rather talk to each other than to even assist patient.Today my visit was just as bad as always. I was in a good mood upon arrival appt was at 1:00 arrived at 12:45. sat in waiting for approx 25 minutes than they finally call me up and as usual they try to over charge me and I have told them every time that is not my price. all of a sudden someone walks in that works there they all run off and visit the baby than come back to finish taking my payment. Again I sit in the waiting another 15-20 Minutes the only professional was the guy who did the pic of my mouth he was very nice. So after that I am taken back to the room to have my cleaning again I had to wait for approx 15-20 more minutes before hygeniest finally shows up to do my cleaning. But I did hear the guy do ing pics let her know as she is talking in the hall that I was ready but she did not care. So than she finally came in and wanted to ask me questions concerning a prior visit which had nothing to do with getting my teeth done. So I told her I did not want to discuss it and I would like to get done with my cleaning. When I was done I went to counter again to make my 3 month follow up appt. There were five ladies at this time sitting out there I had to say hey will someone assist me. they were watching two ladies go out to speak to a cop and did not want to wait on me. Than the head lady told me she did not want to wait on me and would not give me an appt I asked to speak to a regional manager but she said she only had there cell number and would not assist in that. So I did not get an appt or was able to talk to anyone I left and called the main number left a message to speak to regional manager but I have yet to get a call back concerning my issues.I WOULD NOT USE THIS LOCATION THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DONT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENT OR HOW LONG YOU HAVE TO WAIT ON THEM TO FINISH PLAYING AROUND.

I would not recommend this place to work. Regional manager Melissa is pure evil. Runs staff away and as a result there has been high turnover rate under her leadership. Very vindictive and a liar. Supplies in the offices are always short and the the work conditions are filthy.

This visit there was no waiting time. Everyone was smiling and friendly and answered all my questions and concerns.

Horrible all about the $ not the patient doctors have personal twick to perfection advertise to lure u in their whole attitude changes when u mk ur descions jus despicable!!!@sdaa #alwaysaterribleexpierence tired to give them a second chance
