I love Beckwith’s Car Care! They are so friendly and trustworthy, and they do really good work. My dad is a retired mechanic who now delivers parts for a local parts store, so i usually ask him to stop by and talk to the shop guys anywhere that I consider having my car serviced. He has come by here a few times and chatted with the shop foreman several times on the phone, and he agrees that these guys are a solid company. They also have a cute little waiting room with complimentary coffee and cookies while you wait. I honestly can’t recommend them though.

Excellent, quick, efficient, friendly & lower price than available from local Ford dealer for replacement of F-150 fuel pump & gas gauge sending unit. Result was that TX state emission passed do I could renew the annual registration from 8/31/2021 - 8/31/2022 as required to continue driving for Lyft and Uber.

The diagnostic was detailed and explained to me very well. I have not used their services yet but I plan to in the near future.

Beckwith fixed a coolant leak on my F-150 for less than half what the dealer quoted. I knew it wouldn’t be cheap, I just wanted to be treated fairly and I was. Friendly service of a kind that is hard to find these days.

Save your money these people find a way to charge you even if the issue was not resolved. We took our Chevy to them because we trusted their Chevy expert. They have a mechanic that worked with Chevy and calls him a Senior Chevy mechanic but he failed to properly diagnose the issue and instead found something to charge for. We dropped the car and 4 days after we agreed to repair based on the diagnosis. We paid over $400 for a throttle body cleaning which they only used a liquid worth $30 to any consumer when buying online or autozone instead of taking it off and wipe it clean. We called back the same day (Friday) they returned our car fixed and left a voice-mail letting them know it was not fixed.We called back Monday and agreed to take the car back to fix the issue. Several days after they told the car was driven but this time they were able to replicate the issue and now the Senior Chevy mechanic THINKS its something else because the car gave a code. The new repair would be a little over $500 because their warranty covers what was done to the car not what they think its the new but same problem. They could also not guarantee the fix. My car GPS tracker (which also provides car trouble codes) tells me they drove it for 9 minutes, 4 which the car was idle and no code was detected. We decided to pick up the car, disputed the first diagnostic charge of $99 but they said it wasnt a misdiagnosis because they know what the issue is but the tech believes, not certain what it is... since they were able to read the code I asked them to show me the code but they said it was cleared. If the code was cleared, and the issue was not fixed the code should come up again..... but they declined. The code also didnt show on my way home because there was no code. The code they said the car gave specifically state the car must have certain specific symptoms AND a check engine light but none of them were applicable since the car started normal, the didnt have issues accelerating, etc. I will be bringing this up to the BBB and the AG because I dont know how is it legal and ethical for a company to lie and charge for something they dont even know what it is.... This is an issue that not even Chevrolet knows how to fix but they magically pull up a code...

I took my truck to Ford quick lane and they said my truck needed a new rear main seal (it was leaking oil). I didn’t seem to trust them, just because..... so I took my truck to Beckwiths because I knew they would do what is right from past good experiences. After dropping off my truck Billie called me after checking over and said it was actually my oil pan seal which equals half the price of what I could have paid. In conclusion, I love their honestly and consistency with always doing the right thing. There is a reason they have 5 stars, they do the right thing and customer is always taken care of. Thank you!

Made appointment and they took us right on time. They take pictures of any possible issues and send them to your phone. They keep you posted as to the progress and of any issues that may come up. Nice waiting area. Very satisfied with the service we received and will definitely return. Highly recommended. Support locally owned businesses.

This is by far the best automotive care in Houston. Great customer services, fast accurate diagnosis, very reasonable pricing, and great work. These guys truly care about their customers and it really shows. Ive had multiple vehicles in for several things and regardless if it was my bumper I needed fixed, my windshield I needed replaced, my transmission flushed, my fuel pump changed, or even that clicking noise I kept hearing that no other mechanic could diagnose, these guys stepped up and got it done quick and didnt charge me even close to what I had expected. If you or someone you care about needs work done on your vehicle there is NO better place to go than Beckwiths.

I came in with an alignment issue which was fixed here and was very pleased with the results. The lobby was fresh and clean, the facility was kept neat, and they took care of my vehicle. The only gripe I have is with the up selling tactics. My alignment was off because my vehicle would pull hard to the right. Before my car was taken off the rack the lady from the front came to the lobby to inform me that the pull was due to one of my relatively new tires. I dismissed this claim because of course the tires were new and they were just rotated the day before but the pulling issue has happened for some time. So it couldn’t have been the tires but she kept on insisting that it was. She tried to say that their balancer was road force equipped but I let her know that Discount has the same technology only I pay “free .99” for the balancing of all four tires but her price was $180. I knew it was bs but I just went along with it and said no thanks to the tire balancing. Low and behold when I get my vehicle back and drive it, the pull is gone... without the need for a tire balance. So if I would have paid an additional $180, it would have been for nothing at all. I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for that one thing but I get it, y’all are in it to make money so it’s understandable. I actually called the shop back to let her know the balance wasn’t needed and of course she didn’t have much to say. I just feel for older people who don’t know what’s going on and that’s how they get caught. Remember folks, if it doesn’t sound right, it probably isn’t.

I had a headlight out on my Prius. Takes a special bulb. They got me in I was able to save 15% from my Costco membership and repaired my headlight. Not to mention cookies while I waited. Ill be back. !!!

Had Beckwith put on new decals, a bed liner, and step rails on my new Chevy Silverado and it came out great. Also was a great price.

I was broke down on the side of the road and called them to see if they were able to get me in and out since I was not near my house. Billie said to come in and they would take care of me. The wrecker got me there about 14:15 and I was on my way home at 17:00. I even got a warranty! I would highly recommend them !

Wow! I had the best experience at Beckwiths today! I walked in, without an appointment, and was greeted by a friendly staff, the owner, and Gus and Scampi. 🐶🐶 They took in my vehicle, went over the entire process with me, and gave me an estimate. They gave me a ride a home, and I received a full digital inspection report including comments and photos. There was great communication throughout regarding costs and prioritization/urgency of repairs. The prices were fair and consistent with their competitors. There were two offers on Yelp that I was able to utilize. I dropped off my vehicle and was able to pick it in the same day. Excellent customer service from start to finish. The owner, Lynn, is fabulous, and you can tell that the entire staff is one big happy family. For as long as I live in Houston, Beckwiths will be taking care of my vehicle.

I had them replace the front wheel bearings. Their price was consistent with others in the area. It was ready when promised and seems to be well done. They are really easy to work with and nice people.

I went to go get my AC fixed and the guy was lit did a good job and its still working after a month. Other place i took it said itll take too long and just replace the filter

In fairness to Beckwith’s, we did have trouble with my transmission replacement, but the transmission was a rebuild from a source up north. Beckwith replaced the transmission in accord with the warranty and all seemed to be in tip top shape. Beckwith’s was very understanding in the replacement process. I could not afford a new transmission and the replacement was done to help us out financially. As aggravating as the situation was, Beckwith’s honored their promise to me fully, and the reinstall has been fully acceptable!!!

Great staff and great job working on my 2003 Xterra. They did a great job pointing out areas that may need to be addressed so I can take care of them now rather than when is breaks. With such an older vehicle it’s important to keep an eye on things and know they will always do a great job to make me aware. Work was done in a timely manner and cost effective as well. Love they can swing by and pick me up if I don’t have a ride or call an Uber for me so I don’t wait for a ride.

I want to thank these guys, they fixed a minor issue in my car (the plastic cover under the exhaust was broken and they zip tied it to the bumper) and didnt take any charge for it. They also gave me the contact to a good body shop for work on my bumper. Ill definitely go back when I have car issues.

I took my Elantra over here for an oil change yesterday. I had a 6 PM appointment. The staff was very welcoming & friendly. The service was fast & completed in a timely manner. They offer complementary tire rotation with oil change, that was really impressive. This was my first time over there, even received a discount coupon for future service. Honesty + Reasonable labor rate + Super fast service = my repeat business. My part had to be ordered and I was in and out within 24 hours. Very nice staff, great cookies in the waiting area, and they provide courtesy transportation home or to local rental car locations. I live on the west side of town and it is well worth the drive from the Memorial City area to Humble. If a 10 star rating was possible I would give it!

They have been uniformly friendly, and their service has been impeccable. My transmission was overheating badly, and I feared it needed to be replaced. They diagnosed it differently, and sent me on my way. I drove straight through to Topeka, Kansas, 11 hours at 70-75 MPH and the transmission temperature never got above 180°F. They also had warm chocolate chip cookies. AWESOME!

Could have been better. New lady forgot to order special oil for my Shelby even though I told her the car I was bringing. The car has been there many times with out a problem. After waiting an hour in the waiting room I finally asked if they were waiting on the oil and she said yes. Total two hour waiting even though I was one of the first cars there.Need to tighten up the communications with newbies so she is up to date on special cars.

Have used Beckwiths for a number of years, Lynn runs a tight ship. There have been issues in the past, like any good business, but they were quick to correct any and all to my satisfaction. You cant ask for more.

I have been taking all our family vehicles to Beckwiths for several years because they carry Amsoil synthetic oils. The Service Managers, Terrell and Jason are very professional as are the shop employees. I always receive a friendly greeting when I come in. Their service is top quality with all the work completed on time and at a fair price. Bring your vehicle to Beckwiths, you wont be disappointed with their service.

I dropped by BCC for an estimate to do 2 lower ball joints and was suggested a wheel alignment also.To my surprise, the quote i receivedwas much larger than all of their competitors in the vicinity. By over $400. 00, all labor mind you. Two Lower Ball Joints R/R and front wheel Alignment for $637.00 and some coin. I guess they dont want my kind around their neck of the woods. You would have seen me red with angerif was not a black man, but there was no one around until i was told the cost and at that time the front office, the mechanics, the tow truck driver, and his guest were looking at me like what are you gonna do, say something or what. I was flabbergasted so i just left because Beckwithsjust aint right, they are insulting at best. 5 STARS is for how much gumption they have, not anything related to automobiles!!!

These guys were fantastic, I had a flat tire, no biggy, but the lug nut on my new used car had a lock nut, with no key. So I could not get the tire off. I called Beckwiths, they allowed me to borrow a key they had that looked like it would fit. It didnt. Jason suggested I get it towed and also suggested my insurance should pay...it did. They got the lug nut off without damaging it and the fee was very reasonable.I felt like they treated me like a member of their family. Nice to have an auto repair outfit that deals with you honestly. They earn a 5 star in my book!

Very friendly, considering that, thats the only reason why I gave 2 stars. Unfortunately for me that didnt help.Went in for a tuneup due to was told that would solve the issue I was having. Was suggested by Billy (front desk) to have diagnostics done to assure issue would be solved. Agreed🌞!Was told 2 coils were bad, gave estimate of parts and labor, $1482.75😧to much at time to pay. So just paid diagnostics $108.53. Next day individual that had advices me to just get tuneup, stated to just have it done would solve, did so very next day and sure enough new place double checked coils while doing tuneup and stated all good, so just ended up paying my tuneup and my vehicle was good to go, rolled out feeling happy yet screwed by Beckwiths...as if on top of at the end of the day i did what i went in for and pay pointless a diagnostics...personal choice to make when getting vehicle serviced, but this place just didnt work out for me...😏

I used Beckwiths about 6 years ago for a repair on my truck - had to bring it to them again last week. From what I can tell, they do very good work. The only person I saw or spoke to was Terrell, but he was very friendly and professional.

Very friendly and professional. I recentlly moved to Houston and received a coupon in the mail for a free State inspection. Was in and out in under 30 minutes, without scheduling an appoontment. They had complimentary bottled water, cofee, and cookies. Yay.

Unfortunately, their quality and service has dropped tremendously over the past couple years. This used to be a reputable place to get honest work done. Sadly, they are incorporating dishonest/scam practices and their work has become very poor. Buyer beware!

I love Beckwiths. They are by far the fairest and most reputable mechanics I have ever used.

So, my husband was never contacted. But the owner used to call MY phone 3-4 days a week (and did so for around a year before she stopped), telling me in voicemails to take this review down. I didnt, because they looked my van over, said they found nothing wrong with it, but it miraculously came back not over heating or leaking...for about 3 days, when the overheating and leaking of radiator fluid happened again. There was no confusion about repairs. My husband doesnt even know anything about cars, nor has he ever worked on cars. Thats my department. I sometimes will write things down for him, for issues with his van, so he can get things fixed and worked on, because of the automatic assumption many have that women know nothing about cars. Everything that was related to the radiator that Beckwiths replaced with the initial repair job has all been replaced again since. After they sent it back to us with the we tightened everything we could tighten just in case, but theres nothing wrong with it justification, we never took it back. We moved on and found somewhere else to go (the firestone on NP in KW to be exact). Talk about bad business...you say you spoke with my husband about repairs that I misunderstood? False. You say you did further repairs to remedy the situation? False. You DID however harass me for months on end, by phone about removing my honest review. And now, here it is, all these years later and you are STILL, harassing me? Really? Thats nuts. Its been over 5 years. After so many years of issues with everything related to the radiator and cooling system and replacing things one, or a few at a time after that period of time, we got sick of it and sold the van for parts. You need to move on. I was honest with my review. Still fixating over this 5 years later? Maybe you should consider seeking some mental health treatment, because thats not normal. My original review stays. Do not reach out to contact me again in any way.Its true that the work has gone downhill and to the woman who responded on behalf of Beckwiths, to the post by Zack, no maam, you do not stand behind your work. We had a radiator replaced, along with several other items (water pump, compressor fan, etc) a couple of years ago. The cooling fan, the one replaced, was grinding into the back of the radiator. Last February (2013), the radiator had to be replaced, b/c it was overheating and radiator fluid was leaking from the ground out hole in the back of it. The items damaged and the items causing the issue were all still under warranty. Jason pretended the issue was the transmission cooling fan, instead though...attached to the front of the radiator...nowhere near the leak on the back of the radiator, which was near the other fans. Im just an idiot, who doesnt know front from back, or left from right, apparently. He worked with us on a price (we had no choice, but to take the financial hit we shouldnt have had to pay for, since it was bad enough to be towed and as a family of 6, we were down to one vehicle) and they fixed it. Guess what? Its now January of 2014, 11 months later, and our radiator has been leaking since the beginning of November, b/c another hole has been ground into the back of it. Only now, we cant afford the cost of repairs and after our last experience with Beckwiths standing behind their work, we have no faith in them making things right. We could still hear it grinding into the back of the NEW radiator, the day we picked it up in February of last year...but OF COURSE, it was all in our heads and nothing was grinding, when they gave it one more look. Ummm - yeah. Now what? Infuriating.
