I bought 2013 Genie GS-1930 scissors lift and it was marked in working condition with 60 hours run time. But really and truly it peace of junk due rust and other issues. Can not start hydraulic motor with charged batteries. Serious electrical problems.Total payments to them $3300 for the piece of junk.The appointment for loader was set 12.30. More then 1 hour there were no any loaders working around. I guess they were on lunch. It was long line customers to pick up. Never buy anything from them.

Make sure you get there before 4PM to pick up. They say they close at 5PM but nowhere on the invoice nor website says the yard closes at 4. I was literally 5 min over 4pm and they turned me away😡

Ive bought equipment at different RB locations and every time the experience after my purchase is far worse than the precious. You’d figure a “customer service manager” would give at least a mediocre Customer service experience, but you’d be wrong. Stephanie Rivera in Houston and Sandrene Smith in Ft Worth should really consider another job as it seems as if they’re trained to disrespect customers. Needless to say I won’t be buying from RB anymore. I gave 2 chances figuring they just had a bad day but not the case. There’s plenty of other companies that want our business and treat customers with dignity and respect.

Ive never been to this place but I pass by it when Im driving through the freeway and I just want to say Kudos to the ppl that park and organize the trucks and equipment. It looks amazing 👏 and it takes some precise skills and patience to organize such big trucks and equipment. Good job guys.

Auction house that sells under consignment, all types of construction equipment, vehicles, trailers, motorcycles, boats, or anything they find available for sale, only through their set auctions, 5 times a year (February, April, June, August, & November). With a totally new inventory every sale. Ofcourse, you will find these equipment in all kinds of mechanical conditions & you will have to inspect the equipment to make sure what you purchase is in the condition you want, but you can find equipment all around the world with their other sale sites sales throughout the year.

I was the high bidder on a backhoe/loader and I hired a trucking company to pick it up. The yard manager said they sold it the previous month, I got my money back for the backhoe and Richie Bros customer service said I would be reimbursed for the the transport cost but they never did. They screwed me out of the piece of equipment and transport cost. Never again.

Ritchie Bros is a global setup. We spend a good deal of money and attend auctions all over the country. All of those experiences have been phenomenal, with the exception of Houston... Everytime. The Houston location is the most unorganized we have seen. The staff, as a whole, seem to be much more frustrated and rude. We take our dogs to the yard everywhere, not once have we came to an auction to look equipment and not had our dogs. We were asked to leave because of them this time, carts just drive by you, just a bad experience and it has to be management at this yard.

My rating is solely based the PHONE PERSONNEL! They have called several times regarding a purchase and I’ve returned several phone calls.... One would think, seeing as how “they” are the companies first impression, you’d have some better representation.... The phone staff is absolutely horrible!!! I’ve spoken to at least 3 different females (one was mediocre) the other 2 have been condescending, rude and disrespectful! Give me a break, I’m simply returning a phone call or calling to inquire about a pick-up of purchased goods! Certainly has me questioning purchasing or placing further bids with the company!

Today was terrible 2/20/2020. I waited in line for about 5 hours and was fixing to go through the gate to the first check in and they came out at 2pm and told us we were going to have to leave because they were overwhelmed. Not only did I waste my whole day there were probably at least 50 other customers were told to leave as well. Now Im gonna have to take another day off work sometimes next week and try again. Very unorganized and the lady in customer service where I had to walk half a mile to get my release number was unfriendly to say the least. I hope next week I will be able to get my stuff and not have to pay Storage. I think they were making people leave so they wouldnt have to pay overtime to their employees.Smh

I have been buying from RB auctions and other auctions for a while. I just bid on 2010 utility reefer in virtual auction and won. When I got invoice it turned out to be 2006 utility. I had that happen ones before on CRG auction they had catalog pictured truck with salt shaker apparently they sold salt shaker separately. They worked with me to resolve it. Not here very rude manager said it’s in the agreement you have to check everything, the brochure does not mean anything. If you buy anything please check the year vin and everything, or you might get screwed for big money. At least this purchase was not very big money. I can imagined someone buying an expensive equipment where 4 years can make a big difference. I hope this was helpful.

We buy a good amount stuff from Rb. Bought a car that said it was running and no known issues. Got there and wires were cut, brakes were shooting out fluid, car made it across the street and died. Even though the inspection was not proper on the listing they would not make the situation right

I bought something and I wait more than a week to come to pick this and a been 10 o’clock in the morning I it’s take hours to pick it up. so if you need to buy something you need to know you go to spend all day to pick this up.

Great selection. Auction day is a spectacle to see. Unreserved auction format, means that everything sells on the day with no reserve price. Great deals to be had for buyers as well as a competitive market place for sellers.

The economy is getting bad everyones selling

I have bought multiple pieces of equipment that looked and started up fine. Well needles to say everything was pieced together and turned out to be junk. They are very short on descriptions online and so few pictures. I have taken huge losses from this auction house. Don’t believe what they have to say. It’s like going to the dollar store to buy junk. I get better pieces from many other auctions. Look around before you buy from these people.... All Lies.. Junk.

The amount of detail they pay attention to to make sure you have a great experience is astounding. I have never seen a larger selection. I will continue to come back.

Is a very large auctioneer, continuously has a wide selection land movers,recreational, industrial, and farm equipment, and they service a whole lot patrons and are allways helpful.

Bought 16 units, primarily title units (trucks), medium to large auto dealer, called auction (RB) once before purchase and then after to verify what we needed to do as far as payment and title retrieval goes. Both times it was verified bring letter of guarantee which I did for $162k, sent my crew/wife to pick-up trucks/titles, took a major bashing, it was explained to my pick-up crew and myself while I had customers in my office, NO WAY I was picking up titles until after 10 days?I work off of a large floor plan have been in business since 1990s and have never failed a commitment while doing business with RB (or anywhere else), in fact their finance company (RB) financed a $60k+ CAT for me and I spent maybe $200k with them in last couple years (they have finance company out of Canada that penalizes you heavy on interest if you sell early, bad deal). Wells Fargo is your best go to, they won’t rip you for points or run your credit arbitrarily 6 times in 2 months to keep approval alive.So they at least have history with me, even though they (yes on the speaker phone in public) state that I have never purchased anything from them?Guess what, their office told me? Well now, we have people that spend millions at a time here, making the insinuation that Im a nobody.After harassing and belittling me, threatening me at a point; they said if this didnt go their way I wouldnt be able to buy there again and I would be black balled in the auction circuit if I walked from the purchase?In the car business we all know what that means, as Im buying 3-4 million worth cars/trucks per year? After the bashing, they told me their front girl made a mistake in communication and how good she was, sorry tough luck, what she tells the customers does not exactly reflect the policy of RB?In the end, they told me they would release titles so we could floor-plan the vehicles. Why wouldnt they just draft like every other auction in the world does? The best is yet to come here though:They left me on my wifes cell/speaker phone while they were berating me and then later went behind closed doors and made the decision to release titles... they figured in the end I could trusted I guess? Letter of Check Guarantee for $160k? Make sense?Ok, now check this out... they held us up for 2 hours, think we arrived around 1:30 Friday afternoon or so for a simple task. So, at 3:30 after things were worked out we were told to get the vehicles out before 4pm or else? We had 4 people to move out 16 units to move outside?They were running us ON FOOT back and forth several 1000 ft. at a time, it wound up being 4 people and miles of turf to cover. Guess what? By chance there was a worker there that has a vehicle financed with us, he talked to a couple workers and told them how good of people we were and finally they busted out a golf cart and started helping us out ONLY because of him... (he bought the truck and immediately had motor issues, we put in a new long block for free)The golf cart ride was wild with 5 people on board and the front end coming off the ground at times, they were in such a hurry to be out by 4pm, to the point of being reckless. All I kept hearing was we sold over 4000 pieces today and you should be poor ole us, get the vehicles out by 4pm or leave. Not open past 4pm on sale week (once every month or 2)? Nor on a Saturday?In closing the woman that was the Richey Bros mouth piece in the office (manager) told me not to ever expect to have titles released on the same day again? She made me feel that I should be entirely grateful for this day that RB let me walk in the office.Would you believe that they removed the sales tax, but not the charges for licensing? I guess $10k +++ wasnt enough to make on 16 pieces?Thanks for reading, beware and definitely check invoices with a fine-tooth comb, bring your tent and set up the night before so you can be checked out by 4pm the following day.FYI, Ive never EVER filed a complaint on Google, but felt the people that make RB successful, the customers have a right to know.
