I had a very good multiple experiences with this business. I highly recommend them. I particularly like that they have arborists on staff so you get educated advice on what to do. I also liked that they were not pushy. The only reason I do not give the highest rating is that recently I lost a sizable branch on a large tree and I am not sure if they overlooked it when diagnosing the status of my trees during the recent service or if failure was not predictable.

Their tree service is efficient. Someone came out to review what is needed and sent a quote via email. The quote had pictures of the trees and where they needed to be trimmed and a copy of their liability insurance. The price was very fair. They came on time and left our property neat and clean. I highly recommend them.

Everything was 100% as expected and very professional. We got a few quotes and they came in the lowest and were a little backed up with their schedule but it was completely worth it to wait. The work was done well and no complaints on our end. Wonderful tree service!

Had a large section of tree break off and fall over onto the garage roof. Called and asked to have someone quote removal of broken section from roof and trimming of the tree. William went that same day and called me with a quote and time estimate along with other recommendations. He called the next day to tell me he can have a crew there the following morning. They were in and out in about an hour with very professional results and not a spec of debris in the yard or driveway. No haggling or trying to upcharge for other services. Received invoice by mail and paid online. Very pleased with the service and professionalism.

Had two experiences with this company. One was fine, the most recent one, however, was lacking.(1) Had JRTS come out to trim our trees in 2020. They performed the work requested in a way that complied with social distancing and need for caution during the pandemic. It was appreciated.(2) Had JRTS come out to our property again this year to remove a dead willow tree. The consult was good - consultant looked for any reason that the tree might still be alive, before concluding (like I had) that the tree was dead, and needed to go. There were a number of reschedules due to lots of wet weather in late May, annoying but perfectly understandable.When they did make it out for the job, the crew got the work done quickly and cleanly. However, upon looking at that area of the property a few weeks later, I noticed a sprinkler head had been broken (as well as the pipe connected to it), and an electrical box had been knocked off of its post. Both were in the immediate area of the tree, and that area is otherwise lightly trafficked. No one informed me about the damage during the time of tree removal.No worries - I thought. Perhaps they forgot, or didnt notice. I reached out to the company via email twice, providing my address and the invoice number, hoping for some sort of professional response. To date, Ive received no response at all. Ive since independently handled the repairs to the sprinkler pipe and head - which I was able to handle for not much expense. But if I hadnt noticed the broken pipe sooner, and a bunch of mud had flowed down into the pipe, things could have been a lot worse.

I asked for a quote for tree removal because another arborist told me my tree needed to be removed. The arborist Mr. Mauk showed up and said my tree had at least a 50% chance of living. He suggested 2 fertilizers I could try for several months on my own. He could have just said the tree was dead and given me a quote. He actually said he could not write a certified arborist letter saying that because it wasnt true. I greatly appreciate his honesty and will take his suggestions.

A very large dead tree was leaning over one of our properties. It was dropping limbs on the house and porch constantly. We knew it would take a pretty big operation to take it down safely. Very knowledgeable and great customer service they let me know of all the issues I was having and I removed a massive amount of mulch off of my tree that would of killed it highly recommend this company. As well as advice on my roots and let me know that there is no issue with Foundation problems.

They had to postpone original appointment because of weather. They rescheduled this week,and although they were later then scheduled, they complete the initial phase of cutting the free down and cleaned up the area that looked like they hadnt even been there! They completed the job today by grinding down the stump to our complete satisfaction.

The recently removed a tree for me. They were the best price of the three contractors that bid. They were only delayed because of weather. They did the job quickly and safely. We only lost one small branch on one adjacent shrub.

My window for arrival was between 11am-1pm, at 1:20 I had to call and got hung up on the first time, then an attitude from the person that answered the phone. The crew arrived around 2:30, they assumed I spoke Spanish. However, after that everything went smoothly! It was also the best price we found. We are very happy with the result.

I cant speak highly enough about our experience with Jones Road Tree Service. Davids knowledge as an arborist was very helpful regarding our tree health concerns.Only recommendation we have is to have the workers avoid dragging tree parts away because we have a few areas of scratches on our concrete stained patio that needs a few more cycles of the power washer to resolve it. Otherwise, I would absolutely recommend them to others and will use again in the future!

We had a dead oak tree in our backyard which had been dead for quite some time. Its placement was difficult as there were neighboring trees in our backyard and a fence and trampoline to contend with. These guys came in and worked smart, safe, and efficiently. They did a crown raise on all of my other trees (maple, elm, weeping willow and others), cleaned up my palm tree, and I couldnt be happier. They did a superb job of clean up. They chipped up the pieces onsite and hauled everything away. Great price point and most importantly high quality work.

They came out and gave a free quote, reasonable price for my big oak tree. A few days later they trimmed it good, only took a few hours and cleaned up. I would use them again!

Jones Road Tree Service did an excellent job of removing a large tree from our front yard that was very close to the house. They were very careful and removed the tree with no damage. They did an excellent job with cleaning up all the debris. They also did an excellent job with grinding the old stump to the point that I have not hit any part of it although I have dug in the area to put in some new plants. I will definitely use them in the future if a similar need arises.

This review was extremely tough for me to write, because I really like David, and we had a great initial consult. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience went downhill from there. The missed appointments we annoying but not a deal breaker for me. It was the guys showing up unannounced, without either me or David their to direct their activities that really got me peeved. As you might imagine, the crew was not properly informed, so I didnt get the work that was discussed. So now I have to call out another company to thin out my canopy and complete the work. My feedback to the company is to not make commitments that you arent prepared to keep.. plain and simple.

Not only did he inform me of what I had a concern with, he gave me helpful information regarding how much mulch to have under the tree as well as what type of fertilizer I can use to help the tree. Jones Road Tree removed a dying 25 palm from my backyard.They showed up when they were supposed, took less time to do job than was quoted and left the yard in great shape. They came back the following morning to grind the stump and when they were done, it looked like the tree was never there.

Of the three arborists I contacted, Jones Road was the quickest to respond, slightly cheaper, and communication was excellent throughout the process. I hired them to prune an oak tree in my front yard. I did not have the pleasure of meeting any of the staff, as the whole thing was done over the phone. I came home and the tree looked better and the yard was without damage. Couldnt ask for anything more.

We had a quote done and frankly the experience from the get go was beyond unprofessional! Not only did David bring a child with him, it was the child who made initial contact with me and not David! Neither had a mask on or during the quote. The child not only took upon himself to spray paint my tree ( without permission) but decided it was ok to swing from my gate- almost breaking it off! Lastly, I received several price changes that’s didn’t reflect what he was saying in person! It’s a shame I was referred to them by my neighbors. They will not be getting my business for these reasons!!

I had two live oaks trimmed and deep root fertilized this fall by These guys. The trees turned out looking great and you couldn’t even tell anyone had been there, they didn’t leave a mark on the lawn or surrounding flower beds. I definitely recommend this company over the others in the greater Houston area.

We had a stump that needed to be re-ground. Before Jones Rd. Tree came out to grind the stump, we spent time clearing out the dirt, etc. to expose as much of the stump and root system as possible. They were able to grind well below the surface of the soil.

We had two very large, about 5 ft diameter, oak trees removed. They were too close to our house and our neighbors. We have used Jones Road over the years to trim the trees, so we called them when we decided to remove them. They have always done a good job. The crew sent to remove our trees were amazing to watch. We were home during the entire two day process. The teamwork, skill, and professional attitudes are outstanding. Not a single limb fell where it should not have. The cleanup was thorough. Came by and saw my oak tree. He told me that the tree has seen it’s last days and he recommended me not wasting my money. He said I should buy a new tree. In my opinion Mr. Jones is a very honest person and is not looking out to make a fast buck. I highly recommend his company.

Their tree removing work was ok, but they do not practice good business on the office end of things.When I called for an estimate, the owner was ill and gave me the run around as to when he could come take a look. But I guess he wanted the job enough to get out of bed (although he made it sound as if he were doing me a favor).He came out and gave me a decent enough quote, so I scheduled to job to be done.After the work was finished, I asked for the amount so I could pay right then and there. (I had already verified that I could do this before I had scheduled the job. They told me it would be no problem to pay right after the service if I was happy with the work.) The head worker gave me the total and I wrote him a check for said amount. A week or so later I get the invoice in the mail with a different amount! So I called them with the exact details (address, date of service, amount paid, check number, etc.) to settle the matter. The woman on the line did no seem to think that this was horrible business practice and made out like I was the culprit. I received three more calls and had to explain the same situation each time, with a different lady who seemed to be mad at me over the whole fiasco, rather than either teaching their guys to know how to obtain the correct amount, or telling the customer to wait for the invoice. Will not be calling them again!

I had them come to my home to grind a tree stump and numerous roots that stretched across most of my back yard. They were a bit late in arriving, but other than that, did a great job. I was getting ready to do construction my backyard and needed it clear of roots for digging before pouring a concrete foundation. When I started preparing for the foundations, I found additional roots and they quickly came back at no charge and ground the roots I found. Great people and company. I would highly recommend.
