This has become my favorite spot to go when I get my nails done.Before coming here, I was going with another lady who did my nails and left them a mess. They were so brittle and sensitive. I didn’t get my nails done for about 4 months. Then I was recommended to get my nails done with Jenn. SHE IS AMAZING. I love her work. She helped my nails get back to normal and stronger than before. Let me say I didn’t even plan on coming here but thrilled that I did. John shaped my nails and put the acrylic on (base before design and color powder) for about 50 minutes, but it was worth it since they were shaped very well as I had no complaints. I don’t like getting my nails done bc it takes forever but i like having them done. Teresa did my design. I showed her pictures and she brought my vision to life. Seriously, they’ve got some serious skills at this place! She did stellar job! I’m so satisfied, thank you Teresa and John.

Carla and Blanca were amazing! Me and my husband are here visiting from out of town. We came in for pedicures and I also got a manicure!They were super nice and just very pleasant!I definitely recommend this place to any one.I loved my nails

I got my eyebrows done here yesterday and they look awful. I naturally have very thick eyebrows. I just wanted to have them cleaned up and trimmed. She made them so so so thin and uneven in the middle. this is the worse my eyebrows have ever looked and Ive been getting them done for 10 years. I really hope they grow back.

The people were nice but I was cut, and charged $40 for short, square nails. I have never been charged that much for something so simple. For $40, I could’ve got something better.

It was ok. I just wish they would cut my nails shorter. And get the ingrown toenails out.

My very first time here and I loved it! Everyone is super nice and I got the nails that I asked for. Karla did an awesome job for me! I love my nails and from now on this is my new nail place !

The manicure pictures look beautiful. Unfortunately my pedicure did not reflect that. It was my first time here so Im not sure if only certain technicians are the good ones. I saw some flaws but didnt want to be that customer but because i didnt have glasses on I didnt see this mess till I got home. Very disappointed.

🚨🚨🚨🚨I decided to try this place out for the first time. Well what can I say wait time was over an hour and I was furious with the end results. My nails looked horrible. Never will I ever go to this place again. I will stick to my usual spot on Uvalde. $40 for thick box looking nails. Um no thanks not again.😣😡😡😡😡This photo is of my nails the same day I got them done or better yet ruined. Nails look as if I already had them for 3 weeks...ugh!!! Even husband asked me Did you really pay for those ugly things and hes a man who doesnt know about nails...😭😭

This place is amazing! Awesome atmosphere, they make you feel so comfortable and at home. They really pay attention to what you want and they work hard to make you happy. John did amazing on my nails and Carla treated my mom so well and worked wonderfully with her. I’ve never been to a salon that had such friendly service AND great work. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all! SPECIALLY JHON! I don’t understand what his doing there his work ain’t good at all I had small nail set and was charged 50’ when I could of gone somewhere else way cheaper and good quality there taking advantage of what’s going on with this high prices ! As soon as I walked in customer service was amazing. I did not even have to wait 2 minutes before she started to do my full set! Last time I went to a nail salon I was not happy with the end results. Carla was very sweet and awesome! She took good care of me, and my nails look amazing! I’m very happy with them. This place goes above and beyond for their customers. Would have been my first time here but I had to leave. Normally, most places greet you. These ladies just asked what it was I needed, and their tone was bothersome. Felt unwelcome so I brought my business 8mins down to the next salon (Lisa’s Nails).

I was just in the Salon a couple of days ago and always love going there, Ive been going to John and Teresa for several years, they are such wonderful people, so nice and so clean, I sure tell everyone I know to go there. Came to town on business from New Orleans and had some extra time so I decided to stop in to get my nails done. Absolutely wonderful customer service and my nails have never looked better. Thank you Carla and the rest of the people at Modern Nail for welcoming me and creating a nice stress free atmosphere. Any bad reviews on here must be from people who were unnecessarily rude and didn’t deserve their kindness or service. Next time I come to Houston I will be coming here for sure!!!

This is the most friendly nail salon I have ever been to, not to mention the amazing job they did for my daughters birthday. Carla did a beautiful job on my nails. I will be returning. The price are great but dont let it fool you, the quality is far beyond your moneys worth!!

I’ve been coming here for a while, but I think it’s time to find somewhere else. I was charged $50 plus for these nails!FYI— this picture was taken the day after I went into the nail shop. Look at how the acrylic isn’t touching my cuticles, the shapes are not even. I don’t mind paying, but I prefer quality always!

First time here getting a pedicure. I was a little iffy when I came here with my friends but Im very picky with the nail salons I go to. But I must say the service was great! They make you feel comfortable & at home. Great service & great cleanliness!! Definitely coming back again...& soon!!

I feel like these are made up reviews, Ive went twice, the second time I went cause I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Both times Ive went Ive felt unwelcome & almost as if Im on their time, as if Im interrupting them. && let me tell you they take forever. I suggest Nails of America or Maldives Spa &NailSalon.

I came to visit from out of town for a massive event and was genuinely thrilled about getting my nails done here because of the reviews. I was told the wait would be 15 minutes and instead waited about an hour and a half. I ended up leaving getting nothing done because I had an hour left until the event and still had not been seated in a chair. I would’ve articulated earlier when I walked in that I was under a time crunch but I figured two hours would be more than enough buffer time to get what I needed done (just gel). I had called in advance asking for an appointment and they had said they only do walk ins.Had they told me there was such a ridiculous wait, I would’ve just gone somewhere else but instead they were greedy about it. They showed very little concern about the fact that they had someone sitting in their waiting room for more than 15 minutes and chatted about with their current customers - which is fine - but with no regard for time. Wish it would’ve worked out but be smart about the time you have - if you’re running low on time don’t bother. If you have half a day free, go for it.

Great service . Loved the way my eyebrows came out and they don’t overcharge on waxing . I got the luxury stone pedicure absolutely worth every penny 👌🏽I highly recommend this place .

This is the best nail shop in the whole area if uou want quality.I visited several shops when I first moved to the area 4 years ago and I had to travel back to my old spot in Baytown which was very inconvenient for me just to get quality work ..until I stopped at Modern Nails one day .I was very pleased with the quality work that they give .Theresa and John run a very good establishment and the employees Jen and Carla are always very curtious to the customers .Modern Nails is like family to me ...now I travel from Baytown to visit them every two weeks for some good old hospitality and quality nail job
