If you want people that challenge, encourage, and show compassion for you and your loved one, the Co-op is the place. If you want a place that overmedicates, locks up, and cleans up after your loved one, go elsewhere.I find the one-star reviews for this facility rather strange. The staff have helped my loved one grow and heal. The Co-op strives for a balance of safety and independence. My loved one built lasting relationships while there. I have always felt that my questions and comments are welcome.
I did not write the previous review that has my name Myisha Dix on it although I do agree with what was said. I gave this place 3 great years of my life I worked over 160 hours some work pay periods not being paid overtime wages for several years. Working at the CoOp was about more than just collecting a check for me I genuinely loved and cared for the residents. The living conditions, lack of therapy, and lack of respect for most of these residents are deplorable. This facility is nothing more than an overpriced group home.
Dr Emilio Cardona the psychiatrist for the mental health co op also works for bellaire hospital behavioral. Check out the many one star reviews for the hospital and the criticisms there in that mention him by name.
Very dissatisfied with the 3 weeks my son spent...I told the owner I was looking for a secure place because my son was a difficult case...I felt assured this was the place for him...well, my son left the campus and is roaming the streets of TX...and noone was aware that he was gone until I received a text from my son and contacted the owner...I hope I see my son again someday...
They have employee there thats totally disrespect residents there.. He be high on drugs yes Korey Smith. He do mistreat the people that he suppose to look after when he there on his shift and brags about it...so said
