Phones Number does not even work very unprofessional...
I have no experience with any of the doctors because I was there for the therapist only, but the staff is pretty nice. I did encounter one lady there, a very tall woman, dont know what her position was. I spoke to her my very first appt in her office and dont care to speak to her again, she dont seem to know things she should know without arguing about it. BUT Heidi is the therapist there and she is most definitely WORTH any negatives. Truly, a very awesome person to see.
I also have seen DR. BUSCH for decades. I was shocked to hear of his retirement. Annie Law has been seeing me and now that PACE is closed..what to do? I read all the reviews and what should we do?
PACE offers a friendly inviting environment with attentive staff and short wait times. Its one of the better mental health facilities in the area. I was able to get a same week appointment for both psychiatry and therapy and highly recommend seeking out their services.
Ive been coming for about two years, and have been on the same medication since. I went in last month for a regular check up/refill, when Dr. Annie Law, who I had been seeing, mentioned something about the FDA no longer allowing her to prescribe me both of my medications together. After telling her I did not want to switch medications because Ive been on them for two years and they have done wonders for me, she switched my medication WITHOUT TELLING ME. I called and asked her why she did that, and she said it was something we had discussed, when I specifically said I did not want to do that because my meds were just fine. I took the new medication once and had my FIRST panic attack. I told Dr. Annie what had happened and she said it was rare but possible that it did an opposite affect on me. I have not stopped having panic attacks since then and it COMPLETELY reversed everything I had been working so hard for. Not only that, when I asked her to put me back on my medication, she refused and said I had to choose one of my medications or the other, and if I didnt want to do that, I COULD GO SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR WHO WOULD. so that raises the question, is the problem with the new FDA regulations, or their need for a constant patient to give them their money? Dr. Annie is a disgrace to all doctors who are meant to help their patients and listen to them, rather than do as they please and ruin their mental health. Sad and I am never coming back.
I went to the old office when Dr. Ravi was running it. I did not know if I was going to transition with the new doctors and staff but I am really excited about the new staff! I have been to this office and the one in Sugarland and they have already helped me out with a lot and have been extremely professional. Would definitely recommend this practice to others.
I have been a patient for Dr. G. Busch for many years. Once they move to Sugar Land and had to hire new staff, the bedside manner of the employees was terrible. They know nothing pertaining to a bipolar manic episode, as in when one is happening to one of their patients. Instead they decide to take it as a threat and discharge the patient which is bipolar schizophrenic, with out consulting the actual Dr.G. Busch.I also am wondering how theyre running a practice when technically the doctor and head physician has basically retired.
I felt incredibly comfortable there and they were responsive to all my needs. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I took my daughter to see a psychiatrist this morning, and this woman at the front desk didnt have the human decency to acknowledge me when I signed in: she intentionally kept her head down and acted oblivious to me standing there. I was certain that she would say something to me in regards to signing the sheet for patients who have appointments to see a doctor. She was so nasty and unprofessional she scratched my daughters name off the list as if my daughter had been checked off to see a certain doctor. As soon as my daughter and I left the doctors room after we saw, her this heavy set woman that works at the front desk talks nasty to me for no reason. I dont see how people like her gets a job working directly with the public. This all took place on June 17, 2019.
Been seeing Dr Busch almost 10 years. Was told yesterday I have to find a new place to go. I know this much, Ive contacted the APA, and filed an lengthy lengthy complaint against PACE MENTAL HEALTH, excluding Dr. Mcdivvit and Dr. Busch, as they are both not a longer part of that practice as I was told yesterday. But everyone else, and I mean every one, else has been included in my report. You people cant even post the right fn phone number online & yall changed yours. Thats in my report as well, and fyi, the people in that office arent the only ones with degrees in psychology, some of us patients are pretty well educated, and connected. Post your correct phone number, I want ALL OF MY MEDICAL RECORDS- mailed to me at your cost as PACE is responsible for terminating my treatment, without letting me speak to an MY actual Dr. Which is DR. BUSCH. Took me a long time to find a doctor I could trust, and pace people fd that up and terminated my treatment, without notice, without letting me consult with my actual doctor. Thats a gross disregard of care, & of LIVES. What youve done has consequences, & could have potential fatalities. Yall are a disgrace. Disgusting. Post your damn new phone number. Send me all my records. Immediately.
The Office is Very Clean and Comfortable. Polite and Honest Staff. Dr. Busch is the Best Psychiatrist in Texas because He Truly Cares About His Patients and Does Not Judge. As Well As His NP ‘John’ Thank You All
Where is everyone going now to see their psychiatrist I am needing one badly?
I have been going to Pace for a year and when I went in January N.P. Annie Law told me that Gerald Bush the doctor would be sending my other medications to my pharmacy. It has been almost 2 weeks since I was there, and the meds that were supposed to be filled by the doctor have not been and I cant get a hold of the office... I have called at least 10 times and either get the voicemail no matter what options i select or the phone rings until it disconnects. I am calling before 12 and after 1 so its not lunch.. Its ridiculous counterintuitive apparently these people dont care.
I had my first appointment scheduled for today. I came in and no one was at the desk to give me my paperwork for 15 minutes. Finally get it and fill it out. They are obviously double scheduled and they let the other people back before me. An hour later I still haven’t seen anyone. When I ask the receptionist about when I’ll be seen she was SO RUDE as if I was being completely unreasonable for asking a relevant question nicely. I had to leave because I would have been late to work to wait around any longer, especially with the ETA being “a couple minutes” for over 30 minutes. I had high hopes for this place but felt really disrespected and left feeling much worse than when I went in.
My therapist is Tamara Pena. Ive been seeing Tamara on a bi-weekly basis for the past 6+ months. Tamara is very sharp, compassionate and thorough in our dealings. She has such a great sense of recognizing issues and stress points. As a Navy Vet with 29 years of services, which includes 2 overseas deployments, recognizing and understanding my stress points have been crucial to my PTSD & MDD recovery and healing. My life has been impacted positively as a result of our counseling sessions. I enjoy my appointments with her, and always walk away feeling able to handle the situations in my life better than when I went in for the appointment. I highly recommend her to any/all clients and especially to those who have served.
PACE has wonderful patient care and is very attentive to your needs! I always experience great communication and helpfulness with getting my prescriptions filled and setting appts. Highly recommend!!
Truly a great experience. The staff is not only professional, but greatly cares about making your experience worthwhile.
I had a 3:15 appointment and was not seen until 4:15. I was told that one of the two doctors was out with a sick kid so appointments were backed up. Not only was I not informed of the patient backlog (in which case I would have either come in later or rescheduled) but I was told to be sure to come a half hour early to fill out my new patient paperwork. So I ended up sitting in a depressing, dirty waiting room with no windows for an hour and a half. Worse than the DMV.Secondly, I did not feel that Dr. Thomas was very professional, and she didnt give me a feeling of trust or confidence.
After some time and sessions here my brother is like a new man ! If you need to get some things addressed or have a family member that might like I did, this is a fantastic place
This facility always been very punctual when it comes to appointment times and my therapist has always went the extra mile, thank you PACE!
I went to see the doctor there last month on the 20th today is the 16th of January and I still have not received my prescription theyve not called it in to the pharmacy! everyday when I call the office to speak with someone regarding my medication they told me that theyve already requested my prescription to be sent to my Pharmacy even though its been almost a month and Im almost due back for another visit but I dont feel that its fair that I have already been charged for my first visit and still not received my medication! I feel that the doctor is very negligent it doesnt care about their patients... It was never like that when Dr Busch was there. I dont know what the heck is this office is doing looking for a new psychiatrist I suggest you keep on looking unless you enjoy throwing money away or having your insurance billed for nothing, the doctor told me they were going to send my medication straight to the pharmacy when I left that day. like I said its been almost a month and Ive been sicker than a dog!
Great Practitioners and wonderful office staff. Really quick great appointment! Im definitely coming back!
Can’t ever get anyone on the phone. I missed my appointment and still can’t get ahold of anyone after almost two weeks now! I’m out of my meds and I live almost an Hr away to just walk in but I guess I’m gonna have to wish me luck
Front desk girl was very friendly and caring she explain everything before being seen i think her name was nancy NP Annie was great Basically everyone was awesome i was nerves due to bad review but they do explain all your step so i felt i was family to them.
I wrote you a letter back in July and received no Response from you or your staff. Have a great deal of drama on my hands and you couldnt respond. I dont appreciate you giving pills to a full blown drug addict I think you should look at peoples back ground before confirming that they need the medicine/DRUGS you think a person needs because they cant handle everyday life . Drugs never fixed ANYTHING!!!!!!!!
Amazing staff, great office and awesome Therapist! Really great people and they are able to get people in super fast
Thank you PACE for helping me through a very dark time in my life.
They Strive to Give Us, Their Patients the Best Quality of Life.. Medication & Therapy to Help Us Heal. Still I Miss Dr. Gerald Busch.
Super helpful! One of the best I had the pleasure of working with!
Hello I am Kristen. I have been a patient of PACE Mental Health on and off since 2015, because I moved was the only reason I had to leave at all. I have been back with them since 2017 when I moved back to the area. I am going to start with Joanna and Nancy, the two lovely ladies you meet coming in and who you say goodbye to on your way out. These two wonderful ladies are like family to me. They know who I am after years of service with them and know my voice on the phone when I call. They always ask me, as I said they know me well, if im okay and sit and listen to what I have to say no matter how long it takes me to say it. Next I get passed off to Jarod my medical buddy who takes all of my medical testing including my weight which even my husband doesnt know so Jarod and I are good friends and whenever I see him, his good natured attitude make me just feel like Im at home with these people. Its the one doctor I see where I dont get scared before I go into my appointment. Twice a month I see Sanna who is a wonderful therapist who tries to show me in every different way how to relax and work on my issues so that I can live a normal or as normal as possible, life. I leave Annie for last because I see her once a month and she is a beautiful lady whom Ive bonded with very tightly and wouldnt be writing this review if you dont know theses people like I do. They can make your life a better place to inhibit. I have come to love these people deeply as whom they represent in my life. I am lucky to have found these people who treat me for my various illnesses which make my life difficult to live. Had I not reconnected with all of these wonderful people from PACE again, Id be a nervous wreck who had zero people skills. So this is for the fine folks who desire to seek real treatment and not what is not best for you. I have seen others exit from their sessions emotionally distraught, and some even angry for not getting their way, this is not about getting your way, its about getting right with yourself and the world around you. I just thought i would say that for the point of being truthful. If it is something that you seek that isnt good for you, you should seek elsewhere and seek out PACE when your ready to get help. This is what I have to tell you about PACE Mental Health. When your ready to get help, this is where you should seek it.Many Regards,Kristen Leigh Greener
Truly professional staff, concerned about their patients and kind and considerate.
Great experience. Was able to get an appointment quickly with a psychiatrist, and they now offer therapy as well.
I have been coming here every single month for 2 years. Recently they ALSO changed my medicines without my approval. Now I’ve been trying to get in for days for my follow up and ARE THEY EVEN STILL OPEN ANYMORE? I have 1 more day of medicine left and every number I try just rings & rings or is out of order. !!!?????
Absolutely the worst experience with an office staff over the last year. My wife and I began as patients of Dr.Busch before PACE took over the practice. The office staff has difficult to deal with. We had hoped that things would get better with the takeover but they have not.We still continually have issues with appointments being canceled with little to no notice. Then when you try to re-schedule they cant see you for 2 more weeks. In the mean time, your RX has run out and they will not refill it without an office visit, which they will inevitably cancel again... Every month we have to call several times and argue with various people to get them to honor the Doctors notes stating that we only need to come in every 90 days. Nobody communicates and despite a dozen or so voice mails and emails left requesting contact with a manager; we have NEVER had a manager respond to a single attempt to contact them. Its an absolute joke. We are currently in week 3 of trying to get a simple pre authorization form correctly returned. My wife is going on a month without her medicine and NOBODY with this organization cares enough to even call us back. You can not mess with patients medicine like this. Its dangerous. Were talking life and death here when it comes to depression. We really like our Doctor there. Its a damn shame were having to move on to another care provider not because of the actual care we receive, but because you choose not to deal with the awful mis-management going on in the office. Truly disappointing. Do not waste your time dealing with PACE in Houston or Sugarland. They do not care about your well being. One more day with no response or resolution. Is anybody out there?
Great Staff, Very professional I wish i could give 6 stars
DONT DO IT!!!! this practice will have u coming in 3-4 times a month to collect your money which is all they care about. the actual medical staff never calls you back directly- hold times are outrageous and now they forward your call to a voicemail box that they never even check whic his even worse than before. especially since they only have 2 people answering calls. God forbid you need a prior Authorization on a prescription you will wait weeks and your pharm will probably give up- GO SOME WHERE ELSE!! the positive reviews are from the staff- i used to work there until they shut down our office the call center with a 1 day notice and paid us 4 weeks later- terrible place- horrible management- get REAL treatment somewhere else- everytime you have a small question theres a charge or appt attached to it
Just switched over them and I really plan on staying here they have be very helpful
I love Mrs. Annie but what hospital do they work out of?!
Loved it so much the doctor is very very sweet front desk she was nice helpful
They do not return phone calls and have forgotten to send in my eight year old sons prescriptions to the pharmacy on several occasions or simply do not bother filling them. The pharmacy calls them several times before telling me repeatedly they failed to get doctors authorization on the prescriptions. We saw them on April 19th 2019 and they had still failed to authorize a crucial prescription as of April 25th. I called and complained today to their scheduling department. The man I spoke with said to speak with the business manager at the office if I have any future concerns, but was very helpful. The front desk is very curt if you are late by even just a few minutes. Most doctors offices provide a grace period of 10-15 minutes as a courtesy. On several occasions I have called them to schedule an appointment and they never return calls or respond to messages. Also, in all the months we have used them, I have never once met the doctor or seen him. We have only ever met with the nurse practitioner John, which makes me wonder where the doctor is. Does the doctor even visit his offices? We have run out of medication at least once and it is very likely to happen again. Don’t use PACE if you are looking for a psychiatrist that is attentive to your needs or your child’s. I found a new provider. They prescribed three medications for my son and told me there was nothing more they could do for him because he was not old enough. Again - We have NEVER met the doctor. We have had to go weeks without a medication because Patricia Sabien claims to be backed up in the office with preauthorizations on the medications. she blames Medicaid for the delay of 14-21 days in filling Focalin. Apparently she is the go between between the insurance company, doctors, and pharmacy. Request they hire more staff if you need the help, respectfully. I posted a similar review for the Sugar Land location because all of the staff travels between the two offices and I have had the same problems at both locations. It is noteworthy that this location is very difficult to reach because of traffic during peak times and even more so because of the construction on the southbound side of Houston in several places. I called them and told them we will not be returning. It took in excess of two weeks or his final prescription to be filled. They are negligent towards their patients’ needs. The people who pay for this are the patients and their families. I do not recommend Pace Mental Health to anyone.
I love Dr Busch! Hes a great Dr who listens to his patients! His nurses are really caring and attentive! I feel badly for the girls that work the front desk because they are always swamped with phone calls and even though they try to do everything to get to everyones problem or question sometimes there isnt enough hours in the day for them to handle everything that same day, but they will eventually will answer you. Ive been there at the office when Ive seen people being straight up disrespectful to these girls...Cmon people you should be a little more patient and try to understand that disrespectful people get no where...Niceness will get you a lot further in life!
Yanci & jenita are great they help you on everything make you feel welcome as new patients NP SHE WAS AMAZING I DIDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEM
My brother said his psychiatrist yesterday was nice, but she forgot to call in his prescriptions and we’ve been on hold FOREVER trying to get through. Completely unacceptable...per previous reviews, many other patients have had the same issue. Don’t make the same mistake we did.Update:Meds were finally called in. Current combo isn’t working for my brother and the dr was quick to return the call to get more info and set up an appt.
Terrible experience! My son was misdiagnosed with “mood disorder” prescribed two antipsychotic medications. He slept all day and raged when he woke up to eat. Horrible medication! We had to make another appointment to change his medication, billed twice within a week and a half just to change medication. New prescription was not called in the day we had appointment, Friday, so my son went the whole weekend plus Monday without new medication. He had to double his new antidepressant bc she prescribed a very low dose which did nothing for him. He is now out of antidepressant and will have to wait a week to refill or change medication til his next appointment bc they do not call in prescriptions!
It was very refreshing to experience this level client care
I have been going to Dr Busch for over 10 years seeing him quarterly. I used to get 90 day supply of my meds. Now Pace M H says I need an appt every month to take a urine test to get my refills. Pace is interested in getting my copays and charging my insurance company every month not my mental health. They changed their policy without letting me know. I had a refill left from my last visit which they denied. They are not willing to work with me. Annie Law was nice but I was never really able to get to know her. I wonder how many other patients have left this practice. Dont go to them if you expect them to work with you because it wont happen.Randall Kaiser
Great experience! - staff truly cares, got an appointment quickly
Im all about balance and self care and this place helps me do that.
I called to make an appointment for my son. I learned that Pace MH had taken over for Dr. Busch. I was quoted a cash price for a visit. I paid the 200.00 cash price, waited 2+ hours to be seen by a NP and then received a bill in the mail for 400.00! My son was an established patient of 10+ years. HE WILL NOT RETURN. Sad when an agency only cares about collecting your money!
First of all, I’d like to say that I am a long-time patient of Dr. Busch. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression during my teens, but have experienced anxiety attacks since I was 6 years old.Dr. Busch’s experience with medication was what brought me to his office, because it was clear that I was not improving at all with therapy alone. I’ve been with him for years and he has always managed to find the right medications to suit my needs.I am 28 years old now and around 6 months ago I was finally feeling like I had a good grip on my anxiety and a much healthier mindset with the prescriptions I was given by Dr. Busch. This all changed the minute he retired and PACE Mental Health took the reins.I was instantly told to wean myself off my medication even though there was nothing that was affecting me negatively. At first I was fine with it but after a while it was clear that I simply couldn’t function on the same level that I once did. My dissociative episodes were back as well as my panic attacks when they were all but gone before they attempted to wean me.This past week it reached a point where I was contemplating suicide. I walked into their office sobbing and the woman behind the counter literally told me that I should bring my insurance card “next time” even though I made it clear that I was thinking of going to the hospital for suicide watch. The doctor was no better — she asked me if I was “ok” even though I was literally sobbing in front of her, only to dismiss my comments about how I needed this medication to function and that I was contemplating suicide without it by asking me the same questions which I have been plagued with since PACE took over -“I don’t understand why you are taking this and why you think it’s ok i.e. I want to come to an agreement with you about taking away something.”Here’s a question for you PACE: Why are trying to fix something that isn’t broken?I left the office without even bothering for a prescription or a follow up appointment feeling humiliated, invalidated, and still extremely suicidal.I was lucky in that I was able to send a text message to my loved ones before my attempt and the only repercussions I have now are extremely bruised hands and forehead. I managed to get the two benzo medications I needed through another source and after a few days am feeling better than I have in months.I am not the only one who has had this pushed onto them by the new staff. They continue to believe that the medication regime patients had under Dr. Busch is faulty despite the actual status of said patients. I for one am now trying to make contact with John McDivitt, Dr. Busch’s therapist who is now working for PACE to see what other doctors are willing to help me because it’s clear this one does not care about my well-being at all.
Both Excellent staff and service would recommend !!
This place is horrible! Ive been waiting for the 6th day now for a returned call about my Suboxone medication I need everyday and I cant get not one person on the phone! The only peerson I ever have talked to still hasnt done a thing to help me. And sits there saying, hmmmmm, its so irritating! Ill be looking for a PROFESSIONAL doctors office now! This place has improved some. But once again, here I am waiting for my medication that I told him I needed yesterday, the day of my appt. @ 2:15. They rarely answer the phones. And when they do, its from a call center, which they cannot give you any DIRECT answers. I still havent received a call back from either the doctors office (Sugar Land), or my pharmacy. My pharmacy STILL has no in-coming prescription for my Suboxone! What is the deal? I should have gotten this yesterday and I sure hope Im not just going to get ignored, and never even receive my prescription as the previous time before when I wrote my original review, a few months ago. People need and expect courtesy, and respect on their needs of their medications! Without going through all this nonsense and having to be on a wild goose chase! Im going on second day with no medicine, no call back! Im going to make a complaint with the medical board.Today the really sweet, new lady at the front desk of Sugar Lands office helped me (Thank God), and got my prescription called in quick! Thank you so much! Much better changes after all. Maybe just whoever is supposed to call them in on that day, needs to make sure they do that. Because Im sure others, as well as myself, sometimes needs our meds THAT very day. Awesome! Now Im pleased. :)T
I go to both offices and I really love the new staff. They make this process much easier for me.
Easy to schedule and the staff has helped me a lot. If I need an instant appointment too I go to the Sugarland office.
Annie Law is amazing, she really cares about her patients health
Im very upset because I made an appointment three weeks ago, and they asked me to be there 15 minutes before my appointment and I complied . But when I showed up it turns out doctor Menon is on VACATION! And they didnt have the decency to call and let me know she wasnt going to be there. And when I asked for another provider they said no one couldnt see me today . It seems very unprofessional to me and just plain rude! Especially since it was our first time there .
I really love his philosophy As a patient That just goes to tell you hes actually a doctor who listens and talks to you .not one who says ya ok. Well throw you on such and such medicine. Hes also very personable if you need to contact any time non business hours or during you can email him and he reads and replies too all his patients. Dr Busch is one of those doctors thats a diamond in the rough hard to find and happy to be found now because hes now saving my life because I was a drug addict for years, now Im on soboxone treatment and that is definitely a miracle drug. Ive had no cravings whatsoever.i look forward to my brand new future ahead being under his wing, Thank you Busch and ty again
Very helpful and understanding of my issues.
LOVE LOVE DR. BUSCH.... I drive an hour for him to be my psychiatrist becuz he listens donesnt force u to to take things that dont work an keep working til u find wat does work... HES THE MAN!!!!!
Dr. Busch and his staff are great. Ten thumbs up.
When ownership changed from Dr.Gerald Busch to PACE; this place went downhill fast.
Absolutely the worst..irresponsible to the point of not listening to your messages or reading important messages regarding severe side effects from the medication they prescribed you...twice.
Love dr. Busch & miss annie
Pace Mental Health is not dependable with keeping Rx Refilled. Very bad communication skills.
The new staff makes all the difference. They take my insurance and listen to what I need. Thats all I can ask for.
PROFESSIONAL STAFF. GREAT EXPERIENCE.
What happened to this facility?? Need medical records... stopped by sugar land office and sign stated they moved to the Maple ridge location and the phone number left of the door is ringing busy.
Called and left 3 messages, never heard back. Way to take mental health seriously
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE !
Would reccomend to anyone
Wonderful Dr. and staff.
Phone not in service
Bad service dont help
Dr. Busch is not in this office nurse just physicians who are awful. You will get told what to take and told what to do and if he doesnt like you you will get disrespected. And if you call you will have better chances of hitting the lottery jackpot than getting someone on the phone however, if you do get someone on the phone, guess what? Its a call center. So here is what you will get in this place: Terrible attitudes with horrible service and a waste of time and money. That explains the experience that you will have, so please do yourself a favor and bring attention to what others have said, because they aint lie.
