My Son had taken SAT 1500+ course but he did not get the 1500+, As part of Money Back Guarantee, Money is not returned .I am strongly cautious taking the courses.
Vergel was my daughter’s one on one tutor; he brought a wealth of knowledge but also passion for academics that inspired. He conveyed the information in a way that engaged, respected and encouraged the student in a way that not many can. It was truly a gift and i am so glad my daughter had the opportunity to work with him. With his mentoring, she ultimately tested in the top 1% and improved her already very good ACT scores by 3-6 points in different subject areas. It was not the cheapest option but we scheduled times for him to come to the house so it was very convenient and was definitely a successful choice for us.
Dealing with the Princeton Review has truly been one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had, starting from day one with the operations manager Chris Collier. He responds to ALL emails in a timely fashion, follows up with phone calls, communicates all instructions in regards to the course very effectively, and overall ensures we as students get the exact experience we pay for, plus more! He is an extremely professional and understanding individual who makes sure to accommodate to all of your needs to the best of his abilities, and because of him I have already recommended so many of my friends to register for this course. I have learned SO much through the Princeton Review thanks to all of the kind teachers, coursework given, notes, textbooks, etc. and I know my fellow classmates will agree!
I ended up paying $4000 for both the GRE in person prep class and the tutoring in hopes to increase my GRE score. After completing all required homework and attending all classes I made no progress with my score. The tutoring program did not meet my needs as a student, and ultimately the leadership only cared about the money they profited. I recommend going with a local tutor instead of Princeton Review, they are a huge corporation that sales an ineffective product and overcharges for it. This experience was a waist of time and money.
The course was very helpful in terms of providing structure over the content and material you need to know over the MCAT. It provides a great schedule to follow in order to stay on top of the coursework and studying. The instructors were also helpful in learning the material through the lectures. I do wish more practice problems/passages were worked on though inside of the classroom instead of assigned work at home.
Shout out to Mr. Chris Collier! My MCAT books were damaged, as a result of last years hurricane. He was so understanding of my situation, and replaced them. Princeton Review is hands down the best when it comes to customer service and test prep.
The Princeton Review was a huge help in preparing me for the GRE. Not only did they help me improve my score, but they provided me with tools and resources to help me tackle the questions in the most efficient way. I felt much calmer and well-prepared going into my exam after taking the prep course with them, especially thanks to my excellent instructor, Aaron. The 8 online practice exams included in the course provided more than enough testing experience. My only qualm was that the scores I received on my practice essays were very low, and the feedback was minimal, which caused me some unease. However, I ended up doing well on the essay portion on the real exam, so it ended up not being a problem! Overall, I would highly recommend The Princeton Review for GRE prep. Thanks again to Aaron for all your help!
In test prep (I taught for several years back in the late aughts/early teens), you often get what you pay for, and The Princeton Review is pricey but, in my opinion, well worth it.Be sure to check into which instructor you or your kiddo will be getting, and keep in contact so you’re aware of progress being made, challenges etc. But the TPR screening/hiring/training process is RIGOROUS, and in my experience, they just didn’t hire bad teachers (or weaned them out in the new-hire training).Test-taking - especially for a timed, standardized test - is as much about familiarity with the test format/conditions and sound strategies as it is about brains, and I personally don’t know of any company that does test-prep better than TPR (and if Alex Nelson still teaches at this location, ask for him; he’s a veteran instructor and genius with a passion for teaching, and he teaches a number of different test-types).Highly, highly recommend.
Only signed up for the SAT reviews. Found out that they added my daughter for monthly tutoring sessions, and deducted payments monthly, without telling us. We were not aware of this at all, and of course never used it! When I called them about it, I was offered a refund immediately, without question, which makes all of these even more suspicious, Are they doing it for everybody who signs up for a test review? Beware, and check monthly statements carefully. Bad practice.
Many thanks to Eliz at The Princeton Review for helping me prepare for the GRE. She helped me in so many ways and is very professional as well as kind. I enjoyed my GRE prep course with her and the individual tutoring sessions helped me reach my goal of getting into graduate school. Eliz is a true expert on the GRE and an excellent tutor who excels in so many ways. Her positive attitude and passion for learning and teaching are what make her so successful.
I took one of the MCAT courses here and I do NOT regret it. the Manager Chris Collier is AMAZINGGGG! The staff are so considerate here and they respond so quickly to any questions you have. They really go out of their way to make you feel like they want you to succeed and do their best to provide you with the resources you need. I would definitely recommend the Princeston Review at this location to any premed looking to bolster their score no joke. It really helped me and the online portal plus the in class environment gives you everything you could possibly need to excel on the MCAT. Shout out to CHRIS!
I highly recommend taking MCAT prep with Princeton Review. Seriously, hands down. Everyone involved with the course who I encountered was friendly, considerate, and knowledgable. The teachers seemed very well versed and knew how to teach you a lot of information in a very little amount of time. They provided my class with a case full of tips and tricks to master this test. I would not take the test without a prep course. Not only did they help me gain the confidence to master this test, they gave me the resources so that, to the best of my potential, I actually could. Chris Collier, who is on the administrative side of things, was an absolute pleasure to converse with and is always willing to help. Shout out to my rockin teachers Allen, Elamir, Lucas, Leila, and Kevin!!! Thank you Princeton Review Houston!
Friends told me not to use them. I should have listened. We bought 2 packages(dont buy a package-find a local tutor and pay as you go) and spent just shy of $10,000. When the tutors attitude turned negative and told my son that his goals for a 30 on the ACT were not likely we fired him and they kept all the money. No refunds, even though they didnt provide the service. I could see the point if they had already provided the service but they hadnt. This says a lot about who they are. Rather than being concerned about an unhappy customer and correcting the problem ( no phone calls were returned- way to go Deonte Austin ) they went straight to the fact that they dont give refunds. Remember, the tutoring was never provided. We got a local independent tutor and his scores went way up&fast. No thanks to Princeton Review he scored 31 on the next ACT and is now headed to USMA @ West Point. Save your money, their way too expensive anyway. They are a nation wide company only worried about their bottom line not about you or your child.
Just wanted to comment on Mr. Chris Collier and Princeton Review. I would recommend Princeton for review of either the ACT or SAT. Not only because of the knowledge of the teachers, and the included course material, but for the way they work with you to accommodate any issues you may run into in regards to the courses and class dates.
I just completed the MCAT Classroom Summer Course and I thought it was VERY helpful! Im a not traditional applicant that graduated several years from College so some of the content material was not fresh on my mind but the instructors for each subject were amazing at explaining all the review material. The center Director Chris Collier was always in communication if they had to change our classroom or if the instructor was running late, he always kept us well informed and was very accommodating if we (the students) had requests. I take my MCAT at the end of this month and feel prepared and confident thanks to TPR.
I took an LSAT Review course through Princeton Review at the Houston location. Not only were there issues with the course itself, the Executive Director, LaShawn Launza, failed to address the issues when notified of them. Furthermore, when I contacted her to express my dissatisfaction, she lied and said she knew nothing about the issues. However, I was copied on the email she recieved notifying her of the problems, so I know she was informed of them. The course does not provide a true LSAT experience as they say. I would not recommend the Princeton Review to anyone. They do not stand behind their services, nor do they provide customer service.
