COVID IS NO EXCUSE. This is the new normal, the company needs to figure it out.The content was good, but the company makes the process so insanely painful. Its impossible to get someone on the phone to ask the most simple questions. It can take WEEKS to get an advisor on the line. LORD FORBID you miss their phone call when they call you back finally. Considering I was actively teaching and couldnt just answer the phone, most of the time I missed when they would call me back and then it would take another couple weeks to get them on the phone. I recommended my sister to this program too and I feel so badly because she has had a worse time than I have.They would also add new requirements to my checklist without telling me or explaining it to me so I would think I was done and there would be more I would have to have done.

I have been calling and emailing for the last month and have not received any email or call back. I’m close to the end of my intern year and it’s been impossible to get hold of anyone. The guidance throughout this program is absolutely horrible and I would not recommend anyone to go with this program. Please go with a program who will respond in a timely manner especially when you reach towards the end of your intern year since you’ll have more questions but will not get any answers and potentially hold you back. Also, please stop blaming COVID at this point. If COVID is the issue then please stop advertising yourself and trying to get more business when Texas Teachers cannot handle the customers they already have.

If there is another service, I would use it. My son has been trying to complete his certification for over a year and every time he finishes what they tell him to do, they change the requirements, give him an extension and require more money. He is now in danger of losing his job or having to take a pay cut. Be very careful before you choose this service.

I am a former candidate who has been trying to get ahold of them for a month to get a letter that I need to obtain an out of state license. I have called and emailed every contact I have there and nothing. I would like to blame it on covid, but when a friend of mine was going through their program a few years ago (after me, but before covid), he couldnt get ahold of anyone either. I am not sure what to do anymore. I am unable to complete the out of state requirements simply because no one will call me or email me back. I also logged into the intern portal so I could try to download and print something myself, and it never fully loads properly for me (probably because I completed the program so many years ago now). This is sad. If you are thinking about using their services, I recommend you go somewhere else that is responsive because what is the point if they wont communicate with you?

Speed is the key! I am about to get a teaching job since they were so fast! Taking my test next week. I recommend this program. I learn so much and I hope to have a job by the end of the month. I emailed once and got a email back within 24 hours with a test approval!I cant even begin to express how easy it was to enroll. I read about how some people having issues but it tells you every step of the process on the video and online.Hats off this to this company. Great experience.-

I have had a wonderful experience with Texas Teachers (with the exception of recent trouble getting a hold of someone.) Not having to pay for the program, except for the $300 registration, until I got my first paying teaching job was wonderful. Since they dont get paid until you get a teaching job, theyre very motivated to help you get a job and provide many resources to do so. My field supervisor (once I got my intern job) was amazing and so very helpful and caring. The process is all laid out and you go through it self-paced. Granted I do not have experience with other alternative certification programs to compare it to, but the process has been pretty seamless for me and Im grateful for the program!

There’s a COMPLETE lack of communication and disregard for urgency. I had contacted them at the beginning of june MULTIPLE TIMES (think twice or thrice weekly) up until end of july, saying that i needed to take a content exam that was ONLY OPEN FOR TWO WEEKS EVERY FOUR MONTHS (073 tasc) and that i even has a job lined up, but i got no response. the two times a receptionist even picked up, i let her know how urgent it was because the exam was only offered two weeks end of july before the next one in NOVEMBER.but no, i never heard anything back. they finally added the thing to the portal to request your own exam, and even that i had to do TWICE for them to approve me for the exam. but it’s too late, i wasn’t able to start with the school i had intended to because i didn’t have my credentials and over all am just honestly frustrated by the lack of communication.and yes, i understand that at the beginning of summer there’s a huge influx of people who join, but it happens EVERY YEAR so i imagine they have to come up with a more efficient way to deal with things.also, i understand covid was and still is a thing - the thing is, though, i got NO response. it wasn’t even late response, there was NO response AT ALL. and i called and emailed and submitted requests a LOT. i left voicemails too. but no response. so i don’t think covid applies, i think they’re just inefficient and have a disregard for urgency.

Abysmal communication and customer service. I applied on 7/7 and my application still says pending on 9/27. I have called and emailed multiple times, and still nothing. I understand they may be short staffed, but it has been almost 3 months. Decided to go with another program and was enrolled within a week. Listen to the other reviews and don’t waste your time.

They are not as helpful as they seem. I have completed everything but my electives. They arent even available on my account to complete (never have been available) because of a technical issue that has to be fixed by their IT department. I have been emailing them about this since July and have yet to receive a response as to whats going on and why they havent updated my account. I requested for an extension so that I can finish the modules and was told by my field supervisor that they informed her, that I need to finish everything by the end of the month or Ill have to do three more observation. Keep in mind I already completed ALL observations required. Just another way to continue to get money from people when I can easily be done with this if it werent for a glitch in their system.

I am currently enrolled in the program. I have completed all the necessary forms to have my intern certificate issued, but the certificate is still waiting the approval of Texas Teachers. I have called for the past 3 weeks and left numerous messages with the 3rd party company they utilize and no one has called me back yet. It’s amazing that they have people responding to reviews, but not people to call their customers who are keeping them in business back. I need someone to call me ASAP. I cannot start the school year unless I have submitted my intern certificate to my HR office. I also need to speak with accounting regarding payment. Thank you!

I would recommend this program to anyone! I decided to join the Texas Teachers community not too long ago and have nothing but good things to say! The price to start my teaching journey in the Texas Teachers Alternative certification program is much more manageable than the price of going to college. I am very thankful to have started my teaching journey with Texas Teachers!

From the moment I got accepted into the program, the program guided me step-by-step on my next step towards my teaching certification. Also great customer service. They immediately follow-up with me via email after my phone inquire. Highly recommended.

I was so so so excited to get my teaching certification through Texas Teachers. Unfortunately, they do not communicate at ALL. I had to wait several weeks to be accepted, and once I was, I had so many issues with my program. I called and emailed multiple times and was not able to reach anyone or get any replies. I ultimately disputed the charge due to lack of communication and help with my issues.Update: I am unable to begin another program and go figures, Texas teachers has not responded to any emails or phone calls! At this point, they are scam artists and I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Someone couldn’t pay me to recommend them to someone.

The content is good, but if you work during the day, it’s extremely difficult to talk to a representative. If you call, you are put on hold for a long time and then asked to leave a number for them to call you. If you miss their call, the process starts all over again.They used to be good about responding to emails until recently when I’m asking questions that my job depend on. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish my certification!

Texas Teachers has made my experience very seamless. I was hesitant to go with this program because I’ve heard people say it is hard to get a hold of representatives. However, I have not had any problems with communication. All of my emails have been answered and taken care of very promptly. Every time I complete a portion of the program it automatically updates and I know exactly what I have left to do. I like the flexibility of the program and that I can work at my own pace. I highly recommend!

They did not submit approval for my certification until someone from my administration contacted their offices. I received two replies when I asked for help over the course of three weeks. Otherwise I was ignored and hung up on. When I first joined Texas Teachers they were very help and would reply immediately. The program itself was great. Now, I am lucky I did not lose their job because of their lack of communication. Hoping things get better from here.

What I love most about this program, is that it is at my own pace. I was working three jobs while working on getting certified, and no matter what, the programs and courses were there for me to complete when I needed to.The courses are constantly being updated to reflect the constant changes in education, so You are sure to get the most recent tools and information provided. The cost is efficient and theres always someone there to help if you have any questions.I highly recommend the free webinars that they provide. Ive gained a lot of great information that helped prepare me for getting hired!

Ive never had to call Texas Teachers with questions while in the program until today. Im in my final phase of the program and just want clarity about obtaining my Intern Certificate. Well, I called first thing at 9am in the morning and was received by the sweetest most professional young woman DChantel (DJ)! She was so helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed to do before I could ask. She loved my motivation about finishing the program. She promised to checkup on me in the days ahead as I start my new teaching job. I believe she will because shes an amazing advisor! Thank you!

Texas Teachers of Tomorrow was recommended to me by the district and I could not be happier. The entire process has been seamless. I love the self paced aspect of the course work. The webinars were very helpful in preparing my resume, and subsequently get hired. The content and PPR prep courses were also very helpful - I passed both exams first try. I am finishing up my intern year later this fall and could not be more pleased with the entire Texas Teachers program.

For the past two years, Ive been thinking about earning my certification to become a teacher. Im a stay at home mom, so Ive putting putting it off because I was worried about the time commitment, but the flexibility of the program really put me at ease. Was sent to them by a friend who used them but she forewarned me that you can never get someone on the phone. I have been calling and emailing for the last 2 days and have yet to receive a call back. I’m starting to wonder if anyone even works there? I understand they may be busy, but there is 8 hours in a work day and if you have more than 1 worker, I would think you could probably get through a decent sized call list…not making people wait 4-7 days.

One of the main reasons I chose this program to become a certified teacher in Texas was the accessibility. I started in another state before moving to Texas and I completed a lot of the course work before moving. The requirements were straight forward and clear. The test prep for the content areas and PPR proved to be helpful additional study resources. My field supervisor, Mrs. Valcin, was a great source of knowledge, provided helpful feedback to me in our conferences, and was super encouraging during my first year!I highly recommend Texas Teachers for anyone looking to become a certified teacher in Texas!

I’ve never had such poor follow up from a business that has charged me over $4,000! Just shameful that a company can spend money on social media advertising and be ready to enroll but can’t spend any money on answering the phone OR returning emails. I’ve recently tried over 7 emails with no response this past month. I’ve called and an answering service takes a message during business hours with no return calls??????

Overall I loved the program. The courses were quick and I liked how you can complete them online. However, I am now finished with my first year of coursework and their system is not recognizing that I completed all of my classes. This is holding me back from gaining my certification. I have been trying to contact my advisor and teachers of tomorrow for over a month with no response. This is extremely frustrating, especially considering they charge you fees for completing late. I understand they are a busy, but not hearing back from them for over a month is just ridiculous.

Texas Teachers has been such a great experience for me. When I first started the program, I was working a full-time job in retail. I was happy to find a program that allowed me to complete my courses on my own time so I could work on them at night. I made a schedule that worked for me and finished my training in a few months. I was worried I wouldnt know what to do in my first teaching job since I didnt have experience, but the courses were so in-depth and easy to apply once I was actually in the classroom. I truly feel that the coursework provided by Texas Teachers and the guidance I received from my field supervisor allowed me to have such a wonderful first-year teaching experience. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to become a teacher - especially those who do not come from an education background.

I am very disappointed with the professionalism of this company. I have been leaving numerous messages waiting for someone to return my calls, and I have yet to receive a call back. Time is very crucial for me as I already passed my PACT exam (even though I had questions from them regarding study materials), and have been trying to get a hold of them to take the next step in the program. One word: AMAZING! As a recent college grad, I had NO clue what I was going to do next. I always wanted to be a teacher when I was growing up, but I finally took a leap of faith and enrolled in Texas Teachers during my last semester of college. Safe to say, this was the best decision Ive ever made! Everything is 100% online, so I was able to balance the courses with my schedule. On top of that, they have wonderful test prep resources to make sure you are prepared for your exams. I was in awe of how incredible the advisors were at helping me discover my path! If you have any thoughts of becoming a teacher - look no further! It doesnt get any better than Texas Teachers!!!

I have been enrolled in Texas Teachers and have passed my content exam, completed the modules, observation hours, and everything asked of me thus far. I have secured employment and am waiting on Texas Teachers to recommend me for my intern certificate. I have contacted them about numerous issues, have emailed, called, and filled out the “we’ll get back to you” sheet on the website. It has been over a month and I have not been contacted back yet. I understand it gets busy especially around them time, but for over a month to not receive contact? In addition to this I am trying to get my intern certificate, and all I need for them to do is recommend me. I have done the fingerprinting, applied, and completed every step on my end. It is inherently frustrating that I now see as well I am not the only one going through this, which leads me to believe this is common practice. I know I will get the same standard copy and pasted response, but I am hoping that I can just get recommended for my certificate and move on. I didn’t have a problem with the program at first, but honestly after all of this I can say I will advise anyone looking to steer clear of Texas Teachers.

The course content material is great. Kinda boring at times but easy enough to get through. What is frustrating is that it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get some help from an advisor. To even get into contact with one takes up to 2 weeks and then you have to wait for them to call YOU and if you miss that phone call then you just keep playing phone tag. I have been paying them $435 every month in order to earn my teaching certificate for WHAT exactly? For $435 a month I should be able to talk to whoever I need to when its convenient for ME not for THEM!!

The program works, but good luck getting anyone to ever respond to your call or email. I have been calling and emailing for 3 WEEKS and no one has addressed my need or even so much as called me back to get an approval for something as simple as a content exam. They put me on the path to becoming a teacher, but when it really mattered, they disappeared. I am beyond furious with them at this point because they are costing me valuable time and money with no way to hold them accountable. They claim that it is their busy season, but every year they have the same busy season, so maybe prepare for that instead of leaving all of your people stranded!

Would not recommend Texas Teachers to anyone!! I have been calling for WEEKS to get my Standard Cert approved and have gotten ZERO responses. I have paid everything in full and have finished everything that is required of me and they just havent answered. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. If I dont get a response from them ASAP, I will lose my certification just because their customer service is that bad.

I’m in the last stages of this program, and it has been great so far. Help is always a quick call or email away. I would recommend Texas Teachers of Tomorrow to anyone who is looking to become a teacher. It provides guidelines on how use lesson plans, behavioral management and how to differentiate teaching strategies. The program provides discussions and quizzes to test your knowledge on the module and will not allow you to move further until you pass the quizzes.

I was able to follow the list of next steps and was constantly in touch with my field supervisor. He was extremely helpful and provided lots of feedback and reflection time. I was able to make payments for costs. There was always someone there to answer any of my questions along the way. All in all it was a great internship year!

I am a current student in this program. While I have enjoyed the classes and learning from the program itself, I have been very disappointed in their communication skills.I have tried calling and emailing Texas Teachers in order to get help with obtaining my SOE and letter of enrollment so that I can present them to a school district that I have been offered a teaching position at. I have not received any communication back at all from them. I literally have a job offer and the only way to proceed is with these forms. Please, will someone contact me and help me with this so that I can start my teaching career.

I Started the program back in 2018 and the communication was great. Now Ive only been able to speak to someone on the phone ONCE in the past month. Ive gotten no email responses in the past month. Im seeing other reviews where this is affecting candidates ability to get a job and earn money. Im interviewing for jobs soon and I do not want this to happen to me or anyone else. I understand it is a high call volume, but its interviewing season and you should have been prepared for this. Please address this issue quickly. Thank you.

Although Texas Teachers wasnt my first choice, a friend convinced me to enroll in the alternative certification program, and I love it! The representatives are so helpful and answer all of my emails and calls within 24 hours! I am finally on the right track to starting my teaching career. Thank you, Texas Teachers!

Not a paid shill. They do have a problem with communicating, but they came through when time was of the essence. I would recommend emailing and getting creative in obtaining different emails to contact. Five stars.

It is a good program with great content.However, their support and communication is very poor. It is impossible to get in touch with someone on the phone. It takes a minimum of 1 week to ever hear back from someone. I worked very hard to complete all of my training and I just need them to press a button but their lack of communication and staff might lead to me losing my job. They will say that they want to rectify the situation but nothing is done.Good program and you will learn a lot but be willing to not have timely support.

I am giving 1 star because the curriculum that Texas Teachers provides is excellent. My observer was also fantastic. However, their customer service is maddening. Despite my ongoing attempts to speak with an advisor by phone call and email, I have had no communication with Texas Teachers in the past 3 months. I am writing this review because I’m frustrated but I also want Texas Teachers to make adjustments for incoming applicants. Please hire more advisors! They now have a call center due to the large influx of phone calls from applicants. I have now left 5 messages with the call center. The people answering at the call center are not advisors. They cannot advise me on questions I have about certification. They write down my message to pass to an advisor and tell me they are tagging my message as urgent. However, I do not get a call back. They do not respond to my emails either. I’m very concerned about the status of my certification. Texas Teachers has taken a good chunk of my pay check ever since I was hired on a probationary certificate. I have paid good money. I deserve a response. I would even accept an “I don’t know the answer to your question. We are working on it.” But I get no response. Nothing. Total silence for 3 months.

I have had an excellent experience with Teachers of Tomorrow! I was enrolled in the Texas Teachers Alternative certification program, which provided me with a supportive learning environment and a great platform to start my teaching career.I was reluctant to go with this program at first because I heard it was difficult to contact representatives; however, I have not encountered any communication problems while being a part of this program.Overall, I have had a wonderful experience and am very appreciative of this program!

I have had great experience with Texas Teachers of Tomorrow. They are helpful every step of the way. They keep up up to date on coursework changes and notify you of job fairs in the surrounding areas too. Their program is the best route for me and my family.

Edit: I edited to add that they did email me back after this review but they are so understaffed that they didn’t even fully look at my account before responding. I am glad that I found a way to get them to respond and I’m hoping in the future it won’t take this. Once I see an action plan in place I will update my review to reflect that they are trying and caring. Even something as simple as bringing back their automated email response would show assurance to their students that they received the email and are working on it.The communication and care for Teachers of Tomorrow has gone downhill drastically!! I have been in the program since 2016. I took a break and started back up with the program in January. It was going extremely well. I would get an automated response letting me know they received my email and that they would get back to me in the order it was received or it would say 24-48 hours. It has been 2 weeks and I have emailed a few times and left voicemails and have not heard anything. From what I’ve seen on social media multiple people are having this same issue and now it is impacting their careers for the negative days I really like this program and how it is go at your own pace. I only wish they would fix this communication issue. I do not know how else to get them to respond to us on a timely manner so I chose to write a review.

Such a great experience! If you are looking to become a teacher, this is the place to be! The enrollment process was SO easy and everyone I spoke to was so professional and kind. They answered every question I had (and there were a lot!) and reassured me of any doubts I had. I cant wait to get through these courses and start teaching!! I found my calling!

I have been with Texas Teachers for almost 2 years now and their communication is horrible. They are not supportive and tried to get out of the program and get my money back several times but, there are no refunds. Which it sucks because their not providing anything. I have been calling, leaving messages and haven’t gotten a return call yet. I have been complaining about the same since I have started. Really wish there was a manger or someone to talk to but haven’t had any luck. I know to never recommend this company to anyone. I just want to hurry up and finish or get my money back.I received a response for this post 3 days ago and still yet to have someone reach out to me… I will definitely never recommend this program. The communication is horrible and I have yet to still receive a call back after my first call over 2 weeks ago.

I have got to give them one star. When I first started this program the communication was great, but when I need them most I cannot get a hold of them. I have a job offer that is dependent on their communication because I need to take one more content exam. I just need to take an exam and I cant do that because I am waiting on them. Please contact me, its urgent.

Texas Teachers, you are the best! I just completed the Texas Teachers alternative certification program, and I could not be happier. I was able to get my certification at my own pace and felt very well prepared to start my teaching career. I cant recommend this program enough for anyone who is looking to get their teaching certification!

UPDATE: I have emailed the email address that I was told in the response to this review twice and also the initial email everyone is given, and still no response. I have also called again multiple times. I am still not able to speak with anyone or get this issue resolved.I would not recommend going with this certification program. They are not dependable and do not return calls or emails. My verification for licensing has been pending and no action taken in a month. I am at jeopardy of losing a job. I have called and emailed multiple times and have asked for management and no one can tell me management information and state that a third party is answering. If you are wanting your needs to be met and good communication and professionalism see about going with another certification program.

Allison V gave me great customer service. I arrived at the Texas Teachers office when doors were already closed, but on her way out, Allison stopped to assist me. She took my information and called me back the next day as I requested. She answered all my questions and helped me expedite my process for getting approved to take the PPR. She was very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. Very thankful to her!

Because of their lack of response, I am in danger of LOSING MY JOB! I have finished all the requirements for my intern certificate, paid the entire tuition, did all the required course work and projects, taught for one year in a school under their supervision, was recommended by my field supervisor and my principal. I have applied for my standard certification in July. I have emailed them 3 times and called and left a message with their answering service, since they dont answer the phone. I have been contacting them since July.I cant even begin to express how frustrated I am that I have worked so hard this past year during COVID. Due to their inability to respond to inquiry after inquiry, I could lose my teaching job.There are other alternative certification companies that you can go to that are responsive and efficient.

They are horrible at answering the phone. I have had initial job offers that I could not accept, or the offer was revoked because this program would never answer the phone. I have now been calling for three days from 8-6 with back to back calls in hopes that they will finally answer my call. I also, have just had an offer revoked not two minutes ago because absolutely no one is reaching out to me or answering the calls I am making.UPDATE: NO ONE HAS HELPED ME! I was finally able to get in touch with someone but they did not even do what I asked them to do, so I am back to square 1.Not only that but they spoke to me as if I was stupid. School starts in a few weeks and if I do not get answers, I will not be hired on to this school, which, by the way, puts me and the school in a bad place. This program is messing with my livelihood. It is unprofessional, and the outsourcing to other companies to have people take messages is not helping anything. I am still waiting for someone to answer the messages I have left MONTHS ago! I am also convinced that the good reviews are fake because nothing has been going right for me since I enrolled.UPDATE #2: I have called them over 200 times today with no luck.

They do not get back for several weeks at a time and will leave you waiting. When they do finally call back, it is never during the requested times. In addition, there is no direct line to your specific advisor. I honestly just want to finish my program.

I love Texas Teachers. I am heading into my internship year and they have made the process very easy. Most things that you need can be found and answered through your portal. The upfront cost is around $350 full price that have many sale periods where you can join for as low as $100. The full price of the program isnt paid until you get a job and you have the option to pay it in monthly deducted installments from your paycheck, so it makes payment worry free as well. Any questions that I have had are usually answered with a phone call or a 2-4 day wait through email. They also have many seminars to help with hiring, resumes, and other related information that you can join for free. Highly recommend for any wishing to become teachers that did not got the tradition route.

Best decision ever! As a career switcher I recently I wanted to act on my passion for teaching. This program has provided me with Good combination of classroom managament skills, observations and online training courses. Flexible schedule for training and educational planning. Through this program I have found the capability and confidence to teach in a classroom.

The program is okay. Self paced if you want to do it on your own. Downside is getting in contact with them. I have tried 2 weeks to get in contact with them by call and email. All the people in the phone so is take your name and number. There is no point to have them. They need to have some type of call center system going for the advisors. At this point, I can not recommend them to anyone. I know the summer months are busy but last summer when I called it was much easier to get in contact with someone. This is unacceptable.

I’ve just completed my certification program and started actively applying for jobs in my area. Texas Teachers is an amazing resource of everything you are going to need as a teacher. They have engaging material, interesting projects and countless webinars! I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking to start a teaching career!!

I am truly disappointed in Texas Teachers. I like many others have worked our ends off to get this far. It’s extremely ridiculous that we have to go this far and not receive a response. I am hoping this is rectified ASAP as I would love to continue to recommend this program to other future teachers but at the moment I will not. I need someone to contact me soon please.

I am at the end of my internship year and have had a very positive experience with Texas Teachers. I started the program last year and was employed by July. One of the reasons I chose Texas Teachers was financial. You pay a small enrollment fee to start and only have to pay back course costs once you have a job. If you are thinking about teaching then this program gives you the tools to succeed.

Ive only recently started my Texas Teachers journey but Im so grateful I did! Its been about a month since Ive enrolled and the online training is easy, plus I can do it on my own time. Theyve been really supportive and informative (I especially love the blogs they post on their website!). Im so exciting to keep going and eventually start teaching!

I love what the program can be but I am in the process of getting started and I have had a ton of trouble reaching someone to discuss the next steps after sending in my transcripts weeks ago. Ive called this place plenty of times and left plenty of messeges with the person that answers the phone saying they are busy assisting other candidates I dont know why they take so long to call back since the first call Ive made its been 8 days!! I may get terminated because my certificate its not being recommended. They were quick to send the monthly payment setup link to me but if there are not recommending my certification how do they think Im going to get paid by the school so I can pay them. This is a nightmare!!

I am about to possibly lose a job opportunity because Texas Teachers has not updated my information in their system. They do not take any calls, they do not call you back, they do not email back and the only response you get is leaving a review. They reply under the review saying to email them only to make themselves look good. Choose another program to go through!!

I have been very happy with this program. I was thrilled to be able to get my certification at my own pace and felt like all of the information I got from the course work was incredibly helpful in preparing me for my first year teaching. I cant recommend Texas Teachers enough for people looking to get their teaching certification.

This program has the WORST communication skills of any educational program that I have ever been apart of. If you are someone who values your time, DO NOT waste your money on this program. I was accepted as a Quick Hire, meaning that I needed to pass content exams, get hired, and then finish my course content. Never once during the last five months did I receive a phone call, email, or update on my account 1) letting me know that my Quick Hire status even had an expiration date, and 2) letting me know that my Quire Hire expiration date was at the beginning of April. I studied for my exams, passed them, found a job at the school where I am currently a Teaching Assistant taking on the role of the classroom teacher since the actual teacher quit in October, and have just now been told that in order to receive my statement of eligibility and be able to get paid for what I have been already doing since October, I have to finish all the coursework FIRST. UPSET is the kindest word I can use to describe the way I feel right now.

The program drastically needs employees. Response time is so horrible that they have stopped even allowing “advisors” to talk to you. You talk to a “third party company” who will take a message for you. Then you don’t get a call back until days or weeks later. Email responses are even worse. I have passed my content exam and sent my transcript and need them to update it. There is a job opportunity that relies on it. Choose another company to go through!!!

Teachers of tomorrow helps me to accomplish my vision as a teacher. I was coming from outside country and was told I can’t teach here in the State, until someone referred me to Texas teachers and my dreams come through. They’re the best. I have referred a lot of people and no regrets at all.

I joined the program back in 2018 and thr communication was awesome! Would always get an automatic response letting me know someone would be in touch with me and would get an email back by a representative within a few hours, at most a day. My experience has been different lately. I have been trying to contact them regarding my educator certification since I passed my content exam. My internal portal hasnt been updated and does not show that my content exam has been passed. I still think the program is great but I would like for their communication to be as good as it was when I first started the program.I am also writing this review to receive a phone call or email from one of your representatives.I am changing my review because my questions have been answered and clarified, thank you David!

I, like many others, have been waiting weeks for a phone call to answer my urgent questions. I will unfortunately have to switch programs as I have not been able to get my issue resolved via communication with Texas teachers. I was almost done too! Hopeful that this new program will help me get my certification quicker !

The Clinical Teaching program was outstanding! Im so glad I got to learn so much and be placed at such an amazing school for 14 weeks before becoming a fully certified teacher. Allison V. was amazing at getting me set up with everything and helping me along the way!

Best alt cert program out there! Theyve been super patient with me and always helpful when I needed a hand. I recommend Texas Teachers to all my friends trying to become a teacher. And I recommend them to you too!

She was super kind and I could tell she loved her job even over the phone. 10/10 would recommend having her as your Texas Teacher Advisor.

Love this program! so so simple! They email you everything and I had no issue to contact them.It took me 5 days to enroll . The program is so great at giving you access! I just know need to do the work!

Thank you, Texas Teachers! My experience with the Texas Teachers alternative certification program has been seamless. The customer service is exceptional! I highly recommend this program!

Texas Teachers provide a good service to hired in teaching, but the customer service is below average. The only person that has been helpful is my advisor, but she lacks access to a lot of the information needed to clarify what your able to see in the online portal. As stated by a few of the reviews, customer service takes 2 to 3 days to respond if you receive a callback at all. This is very frustrating when your interviewing for opportunities and they need additional documentation, and Texas Teacher has you waiting for a call that may never come. Its clear that although its a blessing for them to provide alternative certification services, customer service isnt apart of their mission.

UPDATE: even after emailing the address they listed, I still do not have a response. This is really disappointing and am considering finding a new program. I have a wonderful job opportunity that I might have to pass up on because of the lack of communication.//////////I have been very disappointed in their communication skills.I have called and emailed over 12 times the last two weeks and left messages and I do not have any kind of response.I’m honestly getting frustrated and feel stuck with no where else to go.I have tried calling and emailing Texas Teachers in order to get help with obtaining my SOE and letter of enrollment so that I can present them to a school district that I have been offered a teaching position at. I have not received any communication back at all from them. I literally have a job offer and the only way to proceed is with these forms. Please, will someone contact me and help me with this so that I can start my teaching career.

Overall, this alternative program is great. The best part is that it is self-paced especially if youre working and/or in school at the same time. The reason for my 1 star rating is because of the terrible communication. I have been trying to get in contact with an advisor since last week about approval for my intern certification due to a job offer. The communication issues are extremely frustrating, especially when you have job offers on the line. I have emailed the email address given multiple times and still no response.

I initially thought this program was better than any other in Texas but I am unpleasantly surprised on how they don’t come through when you actually need them. I have spent long hours studying and preparing to pass my exams. I finally pass them and have been waiting for Texas Teachers to return a call from weeks ago. I have taken two tests and gotten my scores back before I have gotten a simple response to feedback on a mandatory project to complete before entering the classroom. At this point, this program is preventing me from getting a job and making money for my family. I am very frustrated and just want to begin my career. I understand that covid has been hard on everyone, but they have had over a year to change and adjust their system. It it just no longer an excuse as this point.

I spoke to Orron D. Smith today from Texas Teachers, and he was extremely helpful. His tone of voice was not harsh, he was very knowledgeable about the details I needed, he was very polite, and also sent me emails to confirm what he explained to me. He is an asset to Texas Teachers.

Fallon Lilly is the most helpful person I have had the pleasure of working with in regards to my certification. She provided me with plenty peace of mind. This is a process with lots of moving parts, so people like her extremely helpful.

Such a scam. What company doesn’t have people to answer the phone and help you with your issues? They can’t transfer you to certain departments and don’t care about you unless you’re trying to sign up and give them money. I wish I had gone through another program. Save yourself the trouble!!

I am currently enrolled in the program. I’ve referred friends and kinda regret it. We left quite a few messages this summer and have not received any responses. I understand this company is in a transition, but communication is key.

Overall, I am very pleased with this program. I just finished the Texas Teachers alternative certification program, which has given me all of the tools to succeed in this field. I am grateful that I chose this program to start my career. Thank you, Texas Teachers!

Teachers of Tomorrow is a superb program! They have great communication and really help you with your alternative license. Everything is laid out very well on their site. Would recommend!

Great idea and probably works for some. However this is probably the most frustrating program. Too difficult just to log in and it kicks you out constantly. Quizzes wont allow you pass because they dont let you select or complete the question. Then when you do the program doesnt allow you to move on. The coursework is ridiculously redundant and tedious especially for someone who already has the educational background. I dont need a recap of my education. Doesnt seem to be a faster track for someone that just needs observation hours and to take an exam. Customer service is not very helpful. Nice but ultimately inadequate in assisting with issues. All in all this program could be good but my experience has been anything but.

Finished the first week of my internship year as a 5-6 Special Education Life Skills teacher this week and here is my takeaway:It is truly a disgrace that Texas Teachers allows people to go through their program to be Special Education teachers. Throughout the modules, there was not one mention of IEPs/data collection, resolving parent conflict, preparing for ARD meetings, etc. There were no observation videos of any Special Education classes. I have never felt so unprepared for anything in my life. Luckily- I have amazing administration and a mentor who is willing to fill in the gaps where Texas Teachers failed me.To anyone who joined Texas Teachers to be a Special Education teacher- Dont do it.

God forbid you have a question you need the answer to. They will take MONTHS to respond to you via phone number. After calling multiple times, emails. Nothing. I don’t understand what they do on the calls but they make it seem like they are god Himself when you try to contact them. You really have to pray for a response and hope you don’t miss the call during regular work hours 9-5pm

To start, I have been fairly pleased up until now. I am going to be doing the clinical route. I have run into some family and car problems and had to use a good amount of the money I set aside for the clinical tuition. I have been trying to contact my advisor for over 18 days. I have sent emails and talked to their answering service. All I need is for them to move my clinical from Fall 2021 to Spring 2022. Still waiting for my call back that was marked urgent by a 3rd party answering service.

I’m really running out of options to even get a contact from someone here. I have emailed and called for the past week and a half, multiple times a day. I only have a few simple questions/requests to get answered. I have gone so far to Direct Message them on Twitter to see if anyone can reach out to me. I am not sure how busy they are that they cannot reach back to me, but a simple reach out would be appreciated.

I would definitely recommend Teachers of Tomorrow to anyone who wants to receive their alternative teaching certification. It is self paced which is great for working individuals and great curriculum to work through! Great program!

Very upset and frustrated with Texas Teachers of tomorrow. There is no way to communicate with them. I have been attempting to get in touch with them for 2 weeks to both email and questions form online as well as phone calls. The calls end after roughly 3.5 minutes telling me to call during business hours and let me leave a voicemail then hang up. I have a school wanting to offer but I need to register for the correct test and for an advisor to add it to my profile. If they are such poor commutators I wish they would give me the capability to do this on my own. As of now I wish I would have gone another route maybe I Teach Texas.

I have called several times and have left several voicemails. I have completed all requirements and have applied for my standard certificate. My intern certificate has expired. Over the summer the timeframe to get a response or a email back was reasonable. The past month or so it is hard to get a response. I have my district and principal waiting to move forward. I need someone to respond, all I get now is a message taken down and told that it will be returned and marked “urgent.”

I am currently in this program to get my certification . While I have enjoyed the classes and learning from the program itself, I have been very disappointed and disgusted with the communication skills.I have tried calling and emailing Texas Teachers for over a month I have been offered a teaching position but I need to retake my test. I have not received any communication back at all from them. I literally have a job offer and the only way to proceed is to have passed the test but I can not get in touch with anyone to put the code in. Please, will someone contact me and help me with this. Honestly you have a better chance of talking to a rock than getting a hold of an advisor. Expect to wait almost a month or two until someone talks to you. You will not get an email back to you and I have yet to meet my advisor.
