I would pay $50 dollars for expedited forms when you need the them faster. Make sure you explain everything properly to the attorneys and only use Carol Riggs she is hands down the best.A+ I’m almost through and have custody as of now with my daughter.God bless you all

Do not pay nothing before talking to the attorney!!! They tell you they’ll help you until you pay it, I paid the 383$ (which are the court fees to file your case at court), once the payment went through they tell you you need to pay 450$ of paperwork???Then you have to wait for them to give you a call which takes 2-3 business days, to schedule an appointment with the attorney that’s 20+ days ON HOLD to file your case, not to mention THEY DO NOT FILE, YOU have to file it, they only tell you were to sign in the paperwork! So you finish paying 833$ and losing 20+ days to file. I’m upset and frustrated of the lack of urgency. My case is parent child sole managing plus enforcement child support.

4 stars at the moment because my husband just reached out inquiring about legal advice/assistance. At first the young lady who he spoke to in order to schedule an initial consult was a little rude, but she continued and got him scheduled for an appointment. He had an appointment scheduled for yesterday 09/28/21 at 6:15pm, he received the call right on time requesting his personal info and additional details regarding his case. Once she was done she informed him that he would receive a call from legal rep or something like that within the next 60 min. Unfortunately he never received the call until the next day, but from what he stated, it seems like the call went well and for the center to start working on his case the pmt would be $380. Not too bad but still a little high for us. We are hoping there aren’t any hidden fees though. They informed him that for his specific case it could be worked without the case going to court, which is great! So far so good, hopefully they are able to fulfill everything they have promised despite all the bad reviews. The bad reviews really scared me but my husband and I are still putting all our faith in them and their ability to resolve this case. Once the case is completed/closed I will definitely come back to add an update.Feeling a little uneasy. After this post my husband has spoken to a total of 3 people none of which were the attorney. All three calls asked for the same exact info as the one before. We’re not too sure what’s going on or why the 3 reps that have contacted him wouldn’t have the info he had already provided if they are all working in the same office, you would think they shared notes at least or something. Anyways an appt was finally supposedly scheduled with an attorney in the next couple of weeks. The sad part is that my husband has a virtual appointment the day before the appt with the attorney, which he was told it was going to be taken care of by the attorney or the attorneys office but obviously it wasn’t. Let down number one.

QUESTIONABLE LEGAL SERVICES!!!! PLEASE TAKE CAUTION BEFORE FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH SERVICES!!!! Please read reviews before excepting any services. Unfortunately I didnt although I made a small partial payment after which I started seeing the red flags. #1 asking for a review for their service after a couple initial calls to which they basically asked for money and filled me with hope to which I was. I found it odd why they were asking for a review when no real action was taken. They do a good job of selling themselves. #2 they wanted me to sign paperwork without reading completely just them explaining what they were for #3 the list of prices for which I could be charged for if they need to be done after I was assured I was only going to be charged the $350. After this I went to the reviews and I have yet to read about any real result in any case. Most good reviews are right after they agree to help and fill you with hope after which they take payment. #4 if Im to have a lawyer represent me in court they arent able to. Im glad I only made a partial payment and seen a list of charges to which they could bill me if they wanted. I will not be proceeding with services after all Ive found out thus far. Im not sure if anyone is given free services since all reviews seem to be all charged $350 or more. Be leery because all info is not disclosed at the time of payment but until the kick off call. Its sad no refund is given because Im a single mother who is fighting for custody of my children which at this point Im providing all financial responsibility for on a very fixed income while having to pay child support as well.They honestly took food out of my kids mouth for a couple days but it was a lesson learned.

The woman that answers the phone here, Naomi, is one of the most unprofessional, rude, and condescending people Ive ever spoken to in my life. She has made me lose confidence in this offices ability to successfully accomplish the task at hand.

This place just takes advantage of parents looking for accessible help. They tried to take money out of my account without authorization and do not even know what they are talking about when providing counsel.

When you call you get a recording to send text message and they will call you back. When they do call back you need appointment to ask question. And they call back at their convenience and if you don’t answer phone you have to call back and schedule another appointment. And if you do talk to a lawyer she is no help. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

The young lady that called me first was so professional and polite, enjoyed talking to her. The man that called was very professional made me at ease, listened very well to what I said ask me questions that I understood, talked to me about my granddaughter made me fill like I could see the light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I hung up with a smile on my face.

I know this place is cheap so I get what I pay for. They do not respond 99% of the time..just a word of advice save your time and money. Like I said I get what I pay for.

After speaking with someone who was very sales oriented and said everything I wanted to hear, he said they would accept my case and very quickly asked for $350 which I paid immediately. I should have read more google reviews and did more research but was under a time constraint. After reading several reviews that triggered many questions in my head. I then went on the better Business bureaus website and found that they have an F rating for not responding to complaints made against them. I am now very concerned as a single father fighting for joint custody and visitations of my daughter. So far my experience has been poor at best when consulting with two separate lawyers who are supposed to be helping me prepare for my case.

They were so amazing and responsive! I got an “attorney” who would be helping with my case and then was almost charged a huge fee for no services administered. I’m so happy I came back to read the google reviews before signing on with them.

I’m so grateful for this organization. I’ve been fighting for two years for the right to be a father to my kids. This is the first time I’ve been given hope. I don’t feel alone anymore. God bless the men and women who give of theme selves for our children.

Fraud/Scam! They will not give you any information in regards to who their “lawyers” are. They want you to pay $350 upfront in order to get a “Consultation”,they state the address that is listed isn’t current and they moved “Southwest” and refuse to give you the address. While I was trying to ask questions they try to cut you off asking questions about your case,don’t let them steer you off from your questions. They would be potentially getting your business so you ask the questions first. They ended up hanging up on me and blocking my number. Don’t fall victim to these creeps.

I wish I had seen the negative reviews before I paid the $350 and posted a 5 star review. It seemed to good to be true so I sent the website link to my sister and her husband, who are both attorneys, and they wanted to know if they dont file anything for you as they state on their website, what do they charge a $400 documents fee for? I felt so hopeful after I talked to them and they said it should be easy to get my kids back, and now I just feel hopeless again!

They do respond quick and hit you with a fee. Im trying to get my money back. No law firm should tell you they cant talk another Agency is that Agency is part of the case. They prey on good people that are in need of affordable lawyers.

Bless The Lord, I was directed to American Family Law Center from a Google search and I couldnt be any happier with the initial consult with a wonderful attorney named Harry O. Amazingly personable, respectful and when done I felt confident that my case is in the right and truly capable hands.

The call rep was so disrespectful constantly speaking over me when I have questions, theyre not allowed to give out the attorneys name which is actually a legal expert that can do little to nothing for your case. WASTE OF MONEY!!!

STAY AWAY DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!!!!Waste of money and time. Every thing they do you can do a little research and prepare everything yourself. Very unprofessional, I called and talked to someone about my case, was told that I needed to pay $350 to start. They took my card information and scheduled a date to take the money. I was supposed to receive a call back to “kick off” my case but never received that call back. I called and told the lady that something had come up so I couldn’t make the payment. She told me my card wouldn’t be charged and to call and set up another date to make payment. They ended up charging my card anyways even after she assured me they wouldn’t. They took my light bill money and after calling and texting numerous times with no answer. I finally reached someone and was assured that a supervisor would be calling me back. 5 days later and I’m still waiting on that call I don’t recommend them at all they will take your money and ghost you after.

Everything, when I didnt have anymore options, I looked them up and spoke with them. They didnt turned me down, Im over here in tears of joy. Just be straight forward I cant tell you how much I really appreciate this🙏❤

This place is okay, but if you have money or at least a couple grand, I say use it to hire a private lawyer. Maybe before covid service was much easier and had much more access to lawyers and better service and help, but post pandemic, I didnt have the best service, not even for what I paid. They took too long to get back to me, and really what the only issue was.. Had they done things faster, I wouldnt have hired someone else. Its not bad, but like I said before, if you have the money, just hire someone who will actually represent you.

Every time I’ve gotten on the phone with one of their lawyers, they’re extremely insensitive and unprofessional. I had a question about my son’s father not following the court mandated schedule, and when I asked the lawyer what I can do. Because my child’s dad keeps randomly changing the days on me with no notice. She responded by telling me there was nothing I could do and that I would have to oblige to the “random” schedule. I found that very hard to believe. I explained to her this was not feasible or even healthy for a child. She was very rude and nasty. Basically gave me no help or options. Sucks because there are parents like me that really need the help :/

If I could give zero I would. I started off paying the 350 and I had heard from them all that week. Well 1 week went by, 2 weeks went by, and 3 weeks went by and I have received a call,email, or text from them. I was told that I can give an extra 400 for them to do paperwork or I could do it myself and they would help me with no charge. Well last week they took 400 out of my account without my permission. I have been trying to get in contact with them for weeks and still no response. So I am out of 750. They are thieves to me because they took my money and I have not heard from them. Do not fall for these people. I paid the initial $350 and they were very helpful at first and said they would do everything. I haven’t spoken to anyone for a month and all of a sudden my bank account is out $400. How and why would they charge me this if I didn’t approve of it and you haven’t done anything to help me!

Look elsewhere.It is a shame I was referred to them by a clerk in the Harris County Family Law Center.AFLC uses very slick tactics taking advantage of technology and people in a difficult economic situation. You are mislead to believe you talk to a lawyer only to find out later that they are legal experts. They know you are desperate and coerce you with a good pep talk to sign up. They want right away a credit card and all is done over text messages, knowing that you do not have the time to review and understand all what is sent to you.When I was told to leave a google review I felt a cold shower after reading all the negative reviews and what they really do. I called back immediately to cancel (thats when I learned I did not talk to a lawyer) and was told that their service is not refundable. 350 to waste, and still they have no shame to charge additional 400 for paralegal services. I have not talked once to a real lawyer or got any service and cannot get to speak to anyone on a refund.This has been going on for years BBB knows about it, they have been reported to the Texas Bar Association and still in operation.If anyone has a class action against this organization I am in

Be careful, when you go to them, they asked me $ 700 for nothing, they never helped me with my case, whenever I went it was another lawyer, and instead of helping me I felt worse with what they told me, they only care about the money but not the needs of the people, apart from that they never answered the phone, and when they called they said we have a problem with the connection of calls, terrible service!

An absolute disgrace so far. When I called them to signup about 3 weeks ago, they were very attentive & gave me enough importance to make me believe in them & charge me $350 for a Year long commitment. After that, it’s been a REAL STRUGGLE getting a hold of someone from this Law Firm. I Call, Text; and NOTHING! If I do get a hold of someone, it’s usually Ms.Susan, she informs me that someone will reach out before 6:30pm same day. I WAIT ALL DAY & NOTHING! I understand this is a Pro-Bono Service. But when you can’t even get a hold of your own legal representative, then I can only imagine how my case is going to go. And this is supposed to be a “Family” Law Center. It’s a shame because No Importance is given to Family matters.

When I did the intake I was asked what I needed. I told the gentleman I needed to located the father of my children and have him served for child support. He said they could do that and I had to pay 350 for the service for a year. They took the money and i was behind in my rent and all other bills. Still it would benefit me in the end and I could catch up. They call me after they took my money on the wrong scheduled date and charged me an insufficient fund fee. They then tell me they only do consultations and the lawyer calls me to say she is going to start some paper work. When the call back to get information about the paper work they lady says we cant file this until you pay an additional 400.00. I said lady i am a single mother who works part time and who has lupus. I cant even afford medical care for myself. She says ok but this is the only way we can file your paper work. Now I am sure they have some statement in the paper work that will not hold legally responsible for taken advantage of my situation and they might not give me my money back but guess what everyone I know and dont know will know what they have done to me. I have the power to speak.

Hello my name is DaNelda Austin I have four beautiful children who are 21 18 17 and 12 they are currently adopted by someone who I thought was my friend who has went behind my back and change their names told them I was a bad parent and who tried to become me and take my husband and my life and my kids I have a verbal threat against this lady which is pending I also have a case against my Housing Authority where they’re trying to put me out I also have another verbal threat case against someone who stole $400 from me in the building I reside in. I am a single mother who has been fighting for 11 years to get my children back and I finally found a law firm who is willing to take my case I made my payments and I also signed my documents and I’m in the process of speaking with an attorney to know what the next procedure is to get my children back in my care in in my home.
