Best diesel shop in Houston. Found the issue and found a solution. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I live in New Braunfels, and were visiting Houston for an Astros game. My truck unexpectedly starting dumping diesel on the Katy freeway coming into downtown Houston. We had my Duramax towed to STP based on their good google reviews, just taking a chance on them.Rudolfo answered my phone call 5 minutes before closing time, and said he would make arrangements for someone to meet us at the shop after hours, to let the tow truck into the property(7:45 in the evening).First thing the next morning, Rudolfo called me and took my info in order to get the diagnostic started. An hour later, he called me back and had explained to me that a fuel line had ruptured, and he was sending an estimate over via email. The estimate was very detailed, including photos of the fuel lines and damage.We broke down on Tuesday, and they had my truck ready by Friday, which is pretty much unheard of at a diesel shop.Big thank you to Rudolfo and his crew! Very professional, quality work and outstanding service. They helped me out in a pinch, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Bought an exhaust through them and they charged me $900 for just the exhaust and they charged me an extra $900 for installation so $1800 total, they wouldn’t tell me what brand they were using until after the installation was complete. As soon as I picked the truck up they told me what brand they installed, I researched the brand and discovered that I could have only payed $350 for the Jamo exhaust they ripped me off on for $900. I also ordered a 5 inch exhaust and they installed a 4 inch on my truck, they fixed that free of charge which was cool but I definitely wouldn’t recommend going to these guys. They’ll rip you off to make some cash on their end. Unfortunately I was a victim of this. I could have saved money going to another diesel shop.

Came to Houston from Oklahoma for the day to pick up parts. My pickup had some issues and went into limp mode. Called all the dealerships and many other shops and no one would help me out. Delivered on time and radiator was packaged very well.Radiator for 07 6.0 powerstroke fit was great. Easy installation and Temps are great in my truck.

Benny, Tony, and the guys are the best out there. Benny does a lot of diagnosing on the fly so there’s no wait like a lot of the places around Houston and you know exactly what you need and will get.

Brought my wife’s 2012 f250 in for new cab mount bushings. They checked my frontend and informed me that my trac bar had play in it. They advised me on options and possible issues. Ordered me an IKON adjustable trac bar. Set me up for an alignment. Throughout the entire process, these guys were professional, respectful and very timely. Even payment was easy and a breeze. They take care of their customers and u feel good about spending money with them. They’re also very attentive to detail. 👍

These guys do an awesome job. I get my truck back just the way I left it. No scratch marks on the paint, no greasy grimy steering wheel. Ive had my brakes done, ball joints and a few other things. Never had any issues at all after leaving the shop. Big thanks to Jose and Benny for returning phone calls promptly. And big thanks to the Diesel Mechanic taking care of Chewbacca. Awesome honest guys. I also in the auto industry know that sometimes it is hard to find honest people. We are always made to look like dishonest money hungry. These guys have always taken care of my personal diesel but I also have sent work to them for repair as I don’t have a diesel tech. Always will recommend them and will continue to get service.

This is definitely the only shop anyone should use for diesel repair. The guys are very professional and very thorough. I was constantly updated and always had someone I could contact for questions and concerns.

First time owning a diesel, went in for a reduced engine power light on, on my dash. Benito and Jose took the time to look at my entire truck to make sure what the actual problem was. Called yesterday, asking for a friend, on what do to when their duramax runs out of fuel. Explained how to prime it and was back on the road in no time!!! Offered to tow it if it wouldnt turn on, these guys were very helpful, most shops would just say to bring it in so they can charge to diagnose it.....thanks again for helping my friend!!!

Cant say enough about these guys, even before I spent a dime with them, they treated me as if Id been a long time customer. More than happy to take time out of their day to answer any questions about your vehicle, address any concerns you may have as well as explaining options for modifications or talk about regular maintenance. The Diaz brothers are more worried about the name they make for themselves than the money they make, customer service is top priority.Very knowledgable techs that dont take shortcuts to assure repairs/modifications are done correctly.I would 100% feel comfortable sending my mom and sister or others unfamiliar with the automotive world to these guys and not worry about double checking quotes to make sure they arent being taken advantage of unlike many other shops around.If you ever see them out at a show, stop by their booth and introduce yourself, especially if they have the grill going.Wont take my truck anywhere else after experiencing what they are capable of. Highly recommend using this shop for all your diesel and gas needs.

When I arrived at the shop, I knew right away that I have come to the right place because I saw whole bunch of diesel trucks inside and out waiting to be serviced. If you have been around diesel as long as I have, you can tell the difference between STP Diesel and others after you talk to them about the issues of your diesel trucks. If you have worked on your own trucks such as changing injectors and fuel systems like I have, you can tell that people at STP diesel do a much better job than the rest. The recommended upgrades are exactly what I needed, too. My 2006 3rd generation 48RE Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins now is working harder than before on farms and ranches again thanks to STP Diesel. It has never run this good. My truck is a work truck so I do not do a lot of things like show trucks or race trucks. But if that is your cup of tea, you should definitely come to STP Diesel.

This is a Great Shop Benito & Jose really care and take pride in their work and I was very pleased with the work performed on my 14 F350 and were able to get it back in a timely fashion with no unexpected delays would recommend this shop to everyone fast service and a very fair price.
