I look at the good reviews and look at ICONs nice website and scratch my head. It just doesnt line up with my experience. I have worked as a contractor through ICON (for another company) since April of 2020. My job is in Charlotte, NC. I will not name that company.From the very beginning, I have been so disappointed with ICONS lack of communication and concern for the contractors they employee. I have a co-worker, also a contractor for the same company through ICON, who feels the same way. Its like dealing with a bunch of robots. You get NO feeling of anything personal or professional from your contacts there. They have terrible communication skills. They dont return calls. When they respond to an email, its almost like a cold, scripted response. I am not one to criticize or fuss normally. But seems like, from the very beginning, thats all Ive done while working through ICON. Its like being an orphan or step-child. Nobody really wants to be bothered with you. Right now, as I type this, Ive got questions regarding my contract. Ive reached out to them to ask. I requested that a live human call me back. How dare me!! I just want to talk instead of email. So much is lost in translation in emails. But she hasnt called me back and I predict she wont. A. Parker

Do NOT do yourself the disservice of working for this company! They have fake positive reviews on here to trick you, but in truth I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.The CEO has bought herself awards, but she is abusive to her employees. She threatens to beat her employees up. She yells at people she has never even said hello to. She publicly humiliates people (including the HR Director!). How can there be safety in a company when even the HR Director is abused and does nothing to stop it.

The recruiter helped me understand the new job market and how to job search during COVID. I wasnt sure the best way to present my software and programming skills but after speaking with them, I changed some things on my resume and got a couple of interviews for new positions. I really recommend looking at ICON if you want a new job.

I had a problem with my banking details and ICON helped me sort it out very quickly. Kept me calm because I was worried that my pay check wouldnt arrive. Everything worked out great! They are awesome to work for.

I really didnt want to give that one star. Once you are placed in a job you get nothing else from them. I get more from the client then Icon. The fact you work for a company that you are satisfying a need for their client and you are not satisfied as an employee. Only satisfaction is your paycheck. How could this company not offer some type of incentive where employees can earn vacation or sick time by working a certain number of hours. You are basically working for nothing. I pray to God I get hired permanently because Id never want to work with this company again.

ICON is one of our vendors providing IT and Finance services and staffing. They find great candidates for us and complete their projects quickly. The recruiting team is friendly and keeps me up to date on how the search is coming along.

Im a SAP programmer. ICON always helps me find a new gig when I am ready. They keep in touch with me and let me know roles that are coming up. They are a great company to work for.

I had an issue with my paycheck because the department that I was in was sold to a different company. ICON helped me figure it out. They took the time to help me on how to get my time sheets approved. Always super helpful. They answer the phone!

Great team of recruiters. They work hard to make sure I get my paycheck even when I screw it up. I have forgotten to turn in my time many times and they always have my back. It is like working right there in their office even though I am offsite.

This has been the far worst temp. agency I have worked for. There is a lack of communication with the recruiters!!! I had to constantly email my recruiter, and then for her not to respond and dissappear. Then to call the office and leave her voicemails. My start date was pushed back twice, do to someone not processing documents correctly. My recruiter was the worse I want post her name but.. Shes not good a communication. Hopefully my time, with the agency will get better

I wish I could give them zero stars because they didnt really do anything for me other than cut the checks. I found the job on my own and the company sent me to them to be paid through them. What prompted this review was when I contacted them about bereavement pay after I lost a parent and was told they are sorry for my loss but they dont offer bereavement pay. In my book, that is the absolute lowest a company can sink to.

I give them 1 star for actually providing a job for me but other than that theyd receive 0 stars because with this company once they have you in with the client it is no longer about you as their client also. My original recruiter Shelby quit and no one contacted me to let me know. I had to email someone else in the office to find out why my emails had gone unanswered for a month. They do not protect their workers from being mistreated by the client, their key concern is that the client is satisfied. Not the fact that they have placed you with a client who is not only rude but unprofessional. And I was told by Margie the director of recruiting that it would be a conflict of interest to pull me off the assignment and place me elsewhere because that particular company is their client; although I was told by Shelby before she left to send her my new resume and she will be looking for me something else. But I am I also not a client? Apparently not. Margie is who Ive had to deal with since Shelby left and she is one the most rude and inconsiderate persons I have met in the contract / temporary industry. She called me on a Saturday morning to tell me that my assignment ended and I asked why, as anyone would. I was told its just ending and thats what happens with contact workers, what do you have that needs to be picked up. All this was said with a completely rude tone. I then said well Im sure that they didnt just send an email saying that my assignment is done there is usually a reason behind that. I asked could she find out, she didnt want to do that. She literally kept talking over me and repeating that the assignment ended. So at this point Im irritated because Margie called with this tone and attitude in her voice and I asked her why does she have an attitude or animosity in her tone she stated that she doesnt have an attitude. I then asked her what did I do to Icon or Waste Management to make you call me with no sympathy empathy or professionalism knowing what I have endured while employed with your client Waste Managements Accounting department. At this point I am confused. She then begin to speak over me and say your assignment has ended GIRL. OMG when I say I was livid, I let her know do not speak to me that way because I am not her child nor her friend and if she can not address me by my name then do not call my phone and I also let her know how sick I am of them and their unprofessionalism. I then sent an email to HR expressing my concern with the entire situation and that I would like a contact name to address this with. HR told me to email the incident for a paper trail. And they proceeded to also ask me what items did I have that needed to be picked up. I responded to the email telling them I had already picked my own things up and to please provide a contact person for the incident because I rather actually speak with someone than via email at this point. And thats because I dont trust them. I neverrrr heard back from anyone. Awesome HR huh?! Yeah right! Trust me I understand we all need jobs to take care of our families and ourselves but please be watchful this agency as they are not for the employee but all for the client. Therefore if you want an agency that is supportive then please look elsewhere.
