Great experience with this store. Shrunk out of clothing they tailored to fit again. Seems coming loose, new hem on new trousers, repaired stitching on multiple items, help remove embroidery on logos from old employers brands, all extending the life of my wardrobe for very reasonable prices, high quality, short lead times, and very friendly staff.

I just moved here recently, this tailor shop fixed my clothes very nicely and I dont even need to ask about discounts cuz the clothes Mrs. Van altered for me are beautiful and the amount I have to pay is much cheaper than another places 😤😤

She took my fabric and made a masterpiece. I just love love love the dress. I recieved sooo many compliments that night. Again, if you havent been coming here, you need to stop now, and bring all your needs here. They will set you straight. I will def be back! Thank you ladies! They altered my wedding dress and did a beautiful job! It had numerous layers and they finished the job very quickly. They gave me a very reasonable price and the dress fit me like a glove!! I have taken other dresses there and theyve always done fantastic work. I would highly recommend them! They even made me a gorgeous, custom belt for my wedding! Ive only had wonderful experiences at Spirit Alterations!

The main woman and her team did an amazing job with my dress. I had prom to go to and needed my very long royal blue dress altered because it was just too long I’m the front and I came to the 2 days before. That same day they got it done within a couple of hours and I loved it! Thanks again

I went to Spirit to hem long jeans and she was quick and precise. She went the extra mile and came to work early to give me my jeans just cause I told her I couldnt make it during her normal hours last minute. Very friendly and superb service. Will come back for more alterations.

I originally approached Spirit Alterations for a unique job. I built a large custom table for my Kamodo Joe grill. I brought them some drawings of my table and pictures of a custom cover I wanted them to make for me. Before they started cutting the all weather fabric I brought to them, they made a cloth cover as a model to make sure it would fit my table. After i confirmed the cover would fit, they then made my cover over a weekend. I am happy to say the grill cover looks great!I also brought a pair of 100% linen pants for them to hem and fit me. After they worked on them it looked like the pants were custom made for me. They did a wonderful job.

They did a great job on my wedding dress. It had a tear at the bottom and they had to trim some of the layers, to fix it; it was not even noticeable, it looked great! Ive also had a shirt altered, and loved the outcome. Best prices that Ive found on dry cleaning as well. Highly recommend!

I needed to attend a wedding in June and had to make some small, last minute alterations to my suit. The store owner was incredibly nice and prioritized my request on a very short notice. My suit came out perfect in a matter of only 5-6 hours and the workmanship was masterful. This place is the place to go for alterations!

I accidentally bought a prom dress on a Tuesday with a broken zipper and needed it by the event on the coming Saturday. Thinking it would be an easy fix, I went to 2 alteration places before where they told me flat out no because of the shape of my dress by the zipper and the time they needed, which completely baffled me. So I came to Spirit Alterations almost giving up, and was taken care of so well. She was surprised by my situation but was still really nice to me and actually willing to fix it unlike every other place I went to. She had it done in ONE day AND even waived the fast fee. Extremely good service, I even saw it in all of the customers that walked in while I was there that she was good to them.

She is amazing! I brought my dress late to get altered and she assured me she could help and that it would get done! Im so thankful to have found someone to help me when I needed it.

Ive been coming to Spirit for years and Ive yet to be disappointed. I have had several pants hemmed, waists opened and closed, jackets adjusted, and each time the work has been great. The best part is that the work is durable; many of my alteration have been on clothes I wear on a regular basis for work, and havent had any stitches fail or come loose after heavy repeated use. The prices are competitive in my opinion and I plan on coming back every time I need work done.

The worst experience I could have ever have. Very unprofessional, the lady asked me to hook her up on a date on the very first day I went to them to see if they can fix my dress. And then I was fortunate to find my dress in a smaller size and when I called them to not to start on my dress, she told me they have already opened the dress (the day before I was there and she told me she has not touched my dress yet). and I was charged for the fact that they have to put the dress back together. Not only that but when I went to pick the dress up, it was NOT touched.

I was come to my cousins wedding and needed to extend part of my suit, my gf bought it to this store and was treated a very rude way. And by this simply work, charged me over $100 when I picked up. I started to google reviews on this store and find some same scammed experiences like me from years. Highly UNrecommended.

The ladies that work here are the absolute best! They fixed a tuxedo that I bought from Mens Wearhouse on Westheimer at Wilcrest that their in-house tailor has messed-up twice. Spirit altered the tuxedo so that it fitted perfectly, and they did it so quickly and for so little money that I was amazed. Highly recommended for alterations to suits. Superb service and quality.

I was looking for a seamstress for yet another one of the what seems to be 45th wedding Ive been in as a bridesmaid. Granted I used to live in Dallas and wouldve used my lady there, but I now live in this area and needed a new alterations place. That being said Im very familiar with alterations, taking in fabric, taking off length etc. I also dont mind paying for service even at a pricey expense within reason. So... I took this Alfred Angelo little inexpensive bridesmaid dress (again Ive been in multiple weddings this was definitely one of my cheaper dresses including the material) to be taken up in length ONLY in the front because the back had a small train the bride wanted us to keep. I needed length taken off and honestly it could have been taken in on the sides because it was loose but is a halter top tied dress so I had that support to help keep it up a little more snug. So, ok Im only wearing this once and I asked the seamstress as well do you think I should take it in just a bit on the sides, she replied no its fine. Ok. fine. It fit well enough for me to wear for a few hours but was still kind of loose but once again the halter was holding the dress on to me. So, alright shes the expert. Fine. So on to the next thing, I definitely needed length off, not too much, but maybe 3-4 inches max, only off the front of a 3 layer sheer cheap material dress. She measured it, had it pinned in what seems to be the correct length with the shoes on I intended to wear. Ok cool now whats the price... With multiple customers in there she said $100 😳😳 excuse me what?? I even said out loud, not directed towards her, but in disbelief, holy (crap)! It was just my reaction. Ive had much more material and alterations done to much more expensive dresses than this one and NEVER were they close to $100. After my reaction she said ok, $90... Still, my mind was racing to think do I have time to take it else where, I dont know anywhere else, I dont have a lot of time etc... I even called my friend whos in the wedding and also has a degree in fashion merchandising and knows a lot about material and pricing... She said well that is expensive, but we dont have all the time in the world and its up to you... Im one of those people like, you know whatever just do it kind of person. So fine $90 it is. I paid more than half my payment ($50) there and even asked itll be $90 total right? She said yes. Ok, more than half paid.Went to finally go try it on, still maybe an inch or 2 too long, but the wedding is literally a week or less away. Im already over this place, Ill make it work. Go to pay, its now $47 something... Umm you told me $90. Its not that Im trying to be a penny pincher either, but its the principle you told me $90 flat... Well she now says, no its plus tax... Ummm.... Ok.... I just wanted to get out of there before I hurt this poor womans soul. I was already annoyed with this place after my first visit and now just even more infuriated.Never again will I be back there. After reading all these wonderful reviews I figured, yes! Ill get a reasonably priced alteration and itll be wonderful! No, I got neither of those. Very unhappy with my experience there, but like in all situations, it couldve been worse.I never write reviews unless I really do feel Ive been through a disservice, some sort of scam, or have been treated unjustly. Im just not a fan of this place and pretty annoyed with my experience there.Good luck to the next.
