Move to Houston a couple months ago and heard about Main Event from a friend. Walk in and lil Jacc got me all the way right and been going back ever since. Great cut and service most definitely would recommend 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Went there to get a haircut. Told the technician that I needed a bald fade, told him that I needed hair on the top just trim a little off the top. He never gave me a mirror since this is my first time there. After it was over he handed me the mirror, I COULDNT BELIEVE IT ALL MY HAIR WAS CUT OFF!!!! BALD......I HAVE NEVER HAD A BALD HEAD. I DIDNT SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE I DIDNT WANNA CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS. HOWEVER I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT IN LIFE. SO BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lil jack doesnt know how to cut hair. I spent an hour and a half in the chair and he was asking for help from other barbers to correct his beginner mistakes consistently. Hes a sweet dude but people like this should not be allowed to pass themselves off as professionals if they dont know the basics. Been going to main event for 10 years and I will not be going anymore. The talent just isnt there in the same as it was in the past. If you do go there, ask for Red, Ahmad, or Prince. Otherwise youre flipping a coin and wasting money.

Very laid back Barbers. Great atmosphere. Amazing hair cuts. There is a young lady in there with some serious skills. Great conversation in the barber shop. The location is nice. I will definitely return to this awesome establishment.

You can get an average haircut at this location if you choose the right barber. Right when you walk into the location directly on the left is one of the older barbers who isn’t very good at cutting and has a pretty terrible attitude if he doesn’t know you. This goes for the majority of the barbers with in this location, if you don’t know them they will not cut your hair or acknowledge you when you enter the barbershop. Generally when you first enter the shop the chair right in front of the entrance is the first barber you should go to “he is pretty good”. Again, this cannot be said for the majority of the Barbers within the shop. On a few occasions I have sat in the barber seat and waited while the barber played on his phone. I would’ve walked out however I needed him to finish the mediocre cut. I would not recommend this barbershop if you were looking at getting a decent cut within a decent amount of time

Good barbers! They always talk football on Sundays and if your a walk in, they usually will ask so the first barber available can get to you. Overall, my experience was good, and the people we nice.

WARNING DO NOT EVER GO TO MAIN EVENT I REPEAT STAY AWAY. HERES MY STORY I VISITED MAIN EVENT 2 TIMES THE FIRST TIME I GOT MY CUT IT LOOKED COOL UNTIL 2DAYS LATER I NOTICED THE BARBER HAD PUSHED MY HAIRLINE SO FAR BACK I LOOKED LIKE GEORGE JEFFERSON. I WENT BACK TO GIVE HIM A SECOND CHANCE VERY DUM DECISION ON MY PART. HE PUSHED MY EDGE UP BACK AGAIN AND DID THE SAME WITH MY BACK OF HEAD. I DEVELOPED A VERY BAD IRRITATION ON THE BACK OF MY NECK. I GUESS THIS BARBER DIDNT CLEAN HIS CLIPPERS. THEY CHARGE $20 TO MESS YOU UP. I CAN GO HOME AND MESS MY OWN HAIR UP AND SAVE THAT MONEY. NEVER GO TO MAIN EVENT TELL EVERYONE. EVEN WHILE GETTING MY CUT THIS GUY WAS TALKING TO DAM MUCH. WORST PLACE EVER. DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU.

Main event barbershop is a good barbershop to go to if you have kids and if you are an adult,I have sent clients with kids and adults to the barber Jackie Ray and he gave good customer service and a marvelous hair cut.The customers were very satisfied and if your are in this area go see Jackie Ray the barber hes a very good guy!

I HIGHLY recommend Austin. I have been taking my son there for almost 2 years, and have tried a few of the barbers. Austin by far is the best regarding quality of work and the amount of time it takes for him to get the job done.

Poor customer service normally you walk in a barber shop your greeted and asked if you need a hair cut and wat kind you tryna get smh I walked in this place wasn’t greeted or anything I sat and waited a couple minutes one of the guys literally just finished with a customer cleaned up his area came in sat in the chair and was just on his phone after 5mins past then the guy wanna ask y’all need a hair cut this place needs some serious customer service skills

Good positive atmosphere funny and Jackie Ray a great barber great with the kids.

I liked this place at first but now they just gone down hill. Dont remember the guy name but hes a big dude with dread braids idk. Always stop in the middle of haircuts. One time he stop so he can go smoke. Another time he stop to text someone on the phone. Around the 2nd time he screwed up my edge up and cut my sideburns off. Will not be coming back here again.

Best barber shop in the H!!

First timer. I usually get my haircut in the Southwest but I now live near this shop. Looked them up on google and saw great reviews. Went there before they closed and got seated right away. Don’t know the barbers name but when you walk in, his chair to the right of the shop. I kindly told the barber exactly how I wanted it, “A 5 Against the grain & Tapers on the sides and back”. He said cool and began to cut. He got the 5 against the grain right, but clearly didn’t know how to do a taper. Usually I’d say something but I know he would’ve heard me since he had headphones in his ears. He edged up the front of my hair which was alright until he got to the sides, were he began to make them into zig zags (fml). I asked the barber to go over my head using the 5 again to get all the unleveled hair, and he began to use the clippers “With the grain” instead of against. He finished and I paid him $20. Came to the house and notice that he put WAY too much time into fading the tapers on the side (which made the fade wide) and now it looks like I got a damn mohawk. Never will I go back to this barbershop AGAIN.

Horrible customer service. Waited in line for 20 mins just to be told they were closing. They were rude & over priced. If you want ppl to pay then you better give good customer service and haircuts. Seems like youre failing at both.
