I recently purchased a used 2017 Volvo from another dealership. The vehicle had a recall notice on it. I took to the vehicle Momentum Volvo to have the recall worked and they went above and beyond. The dealership I bought from had changed the tires and either did not put the tire pressure sensors back in or they didnt calibrate them. Thus all 4 tires constantly showed low pressure. Momentum corrected this issue as well as addressing the recall all at no charge.

I was advised to get a 40k service when my vehicle has only 32k miles. When I declined, I was informed that I need new tires at a cost of almost $900 because my tires were dry rotted. My tires are less than 2 years old and in perfect condition. (I am a female.) Not coming here again - cannot trust these folks. Very unfortunate because I like their facility.

Mitchell Palin did a horrible job as an advisor for Momentum Volvo. She charged us to diagnose our vehicle and then proceeded to let us know that they did not find anything wrong with it and we ended up pay $500 for diagnostics and software upgrades, complete BS! I called my local mechanic down the street and he came to my wifes job and basically said it was the battery that needed to be changed and guess what? It worked! Bought a new battery and the car has been running smooth ever since, now why could Mitchell not let us know this at first? Because she wanted to rob us of our money, very bad way to run your business Mitchel, I hope you do not do this to other hard working individuals.. I will NEVER BRING MY BUSINESS BACK TO WHEREVER DEALERSHIP YOU Mitchel IS WORKING AT....................
Jeremiah was awesome! He was friendly, polite and professional! Most importantly to my wife and i he was not the typical pushy vulture like care salesman, even though we bought a GMC (which isn’t sold there) he was extremely knowledgeable and even educated himself on some of the features we had questions on.

I havent had the best experience at Momentum Volvo. I wasnt going to write a review just to be nice, but since they sent me an email asking for a review, I will share my feelings.Having been to other dealerships for car services in the past, I have found Momentum Volvo the least comfortable place to service my car. Even when I was trying to purchase my car here a few years ago, it was quite difficult, and I was so frustrated that I went to the location in Katy to purchase my car. I was never greeted at this location, even after I left my information and desire to purchase a car I was never called back. I called them twice more and the calls were never returned, which felt odd because dont people normally want to sell cars? I really like the Volvo brand and ended up getting the car at the Katy location, where the staff were much easier to work with. The service advisor here is normally not the most enthusiastic or friendly (compared to where I have been before), its hard to find out how much longer I need to wait for, its more difficult to make an appointment (through a third party instead of at this location), AND I have had two incidents where my car was left in an unsatisfactory condition.Both times happened since the pandemic, which makes me wary about it targeting me as an Asian American. I would like to think thats NOT the case, but if you know anything about what has been unfairly happening to Asian Americans you would sadly understand my concern. The manager James was nice and quick in addressing my concerns both times, which I really appreciated. When I went in the fall of 2020 to service my car, I had a pair of Minnie ears in the passenger seat. When the car was returned to me, I found a half drank bottle of water from whoever was servicing my car (I believe no one was allowed to eat or drink inside a customers vehicle, especially during a pandemic), lying on top of my Minnie ears that caused some damage to those props I needed for an event that day. When I went today for a simple state inspection, my car was returned to me way dirtier than when it was dropped off. The drivers seat, the middle compartment and steering wheel were all quite dirty. The position of the drivers seat was also changed dramatically and not put back, and they changed my radio station from a Christian one to another. Perhaps the seating and radio were not a big deal, but leaving my car interior dirty was unacceptable, especially from a luxury car dealership/service.Overall I feel anxious when I need to service my car at this location. I cant speak for everyone and my experience could be very unique to me, but I have had friends who also expressed unfriendly encounters and limited/no rentals when needed.I do want to point out NOT everyone at this location made me feel this way, there have been amazing people who helped me right away, either at front desk, or the service managers, or one of the staff in the office. Perhaps my bad experience came mainly from sales, and the actual car service.

Very bad service from beginning to end.We contact there for Windshield replacement.It took 6 days them to email to the right insurance address and it took 4 hours to replace the volvo xc90”s windshiled with a faulty and scratched one which looks like a faulty workmanship.The manager do not accept the fault instead offered a window cleaner.During Second replacement they even destroyed brand new 2021 xc90”s inner fabric ceiling upholstery.Poor service management, poor quality issues, poor workmanship.

I purchased a BMW x5 a month ago. The salesman and finance lady was so kind and helpful. They did their job very well. The steering wheel was pulling on the highway speed and needed it to get the alignment done. Also, the vehicle was in paint boot when I see it the first time and they were painting the front bumper. The paint boot was just a plastic tent. It was not an actual paint booth. The paint was also bad. Labor was horrible. All parking sensors, front camera, side reflectors everything was overpainted. I mentioned all and they told me to come back later to get things fixed. On the first visit, waited more than 2 hours and they said they got the alignment done but nothing has changed. The steering wheel was still crooked and the vehicle was still pulling to the left. Imagine, you are buying a 30k worth vehicle driving with a crooked steering wheel. Well, I called and get another appointment for alignment and paint fix. They kept the car for 4 days on the second visit. Im told that two front tires need to be replaced. They offered to pay only one of the tires but then I did not accept it. The used car manager helped me out and replaced both tires for free. I really appreciate that. But the steering wheel still off to the right and the vehicle still pulling. Also, they filled tires to 43psi where it is supposed to be 36psi. It is a cheap and simple solution to fix pulling steering wheel. Seems like they cleaned up the overspray paint but still visible and still ugly. You wouldnt do that to a 30k worth vehicle. The service department is horrible. They probably not very professional. I am not satisfied with my purchase. There is definitely something wrong with the front suspension. Probably they did not want to spend more money on the vehicle they already sold. I understand it sold as is but there is a major safety issue. I still love the vehicle so I will take it to my mechanic and get it fixed there.
Adrian and Jeremiah were very kind and very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in (XC40 recharge). They were very patient while I argued back and forth with my husband over one week before I bought it. They were very responsive to all my texted queries. They never treated me like a stupid woman. This was very different from when I visited ford and chevrolet, where they didnt know anything about the cars I was interested in. They were very helpful in every way

Took my Volvo for its 1st 10k maintenance on Friday 4.02.21 and for a “high end” dealership I was pretty disappointed for the lack of professionalism from the staff and their attire. No one really greets you with a smile or a hello. You have find your way to the service department.Paid to have my tires rotated as part of the service and as soon I got home the tire pressure light came on. They didn’t reset the computer system and didn’t check to see if they needed air. Didn’t bother to go back since it’s pretty far from midtown.Hyundai has a better customer experience than this Would definitely recommend another Volvo service center.

Very professional. I was able to handle the whole transaction remotely. I got a very good price and they delivered the car and the paperwork to me. Elias Matar was my salesman and his product knowledge and low pressure demeanor made the process painless and efficient.
Overall our experience was 5-star after Momentum saved the sale. Initially, we were presented a dirty car even after we made an appointment to see this specific car. I think the salesman was surprised that it was that dirty. It looked like tree sap or a chemical had been sprayed all over it. He made a pact with me that he would have it detailed out and that we’d love it. Whatever was on it it cleaned off perfectly; super smooth and very shiny. It was exactly what we were looking for and Adrian and his manager took care of all of our needs. I think Momentum really tries to win your business even in these stressful times we are experiencing. Of course social distancing is rigidly practiced at Momentum adding just a bit more reassurance. Even though Momentum is quite a distance from our house we plan to make them our Volvo family partner.

So I have service performed on my car last week and was advised to have additional services performed. I tell them I have to be to work for 7:30 am so I was advised to bring my car in for 7 am. I get here at 6:56 am and was told were not open. At 7:01 am I attempt to open the door and no one was available. Soon after a gentleman unlock the door. I get to the service window and was told I didn’t have an appointment. I advised her I did have an appointment but due to me needing to be to work I was told to come early and get a loaner. She just sits me down. Talk to no one and here I am still waiting for speak to someone and get a loner. Meanwhile I’m going to be late to work because everyone seemed to be late themselves to work. Not impressed at all. If I’m going to spend my money and time for good service it should be provided. Not using this location after today.
I wish I could give our experience 10 stars! My husband and I came in to Momentum after a terrible experience at another dealership. David greeted us and immediately apologized for our wait, it had been 3-4 minutes. He was finishing up with another customer, but he had the porter pull the car we wanted to look at out. He expertly balanced working with us and the other clients. He took our information, and started working on our trade. While we test drove our car he got all of the information together for us. When we got back we sat down to run the numbers and negotiate. It was probably the easiest negotiation we have ever experienced. We closed the deal, enjoyed the socially distant lounge while waiting for financing. Financing was a breeze. From there David handed us the keys and helped us get all the gadgets set up and learn the controls. It was truly the best and we will be back!
Another awesome buying experience! Travis Thibodeaux is incredible! He always puts his customers needs and wishes first and does whatever he can. He picked up the vehicle I wanted from another dealership, we handled all financing and other info by email, phone and text, and then he personally delivered the vehicle to my house. I signed the paperwork and we went over the vehicle all in about 30 min. What a great guy and amazing service! Initial price was great however....not the fault of the dealership perse but I will say if you buy a used Volvo make sure you get TWO keys! I paid 570 dollars for a KEY! ONE KEY because the used car I bought here only came with one key. Thought I could do what I have with other used cars and just buy one from an aftermarket company. Nope! Only Volvo dealerships can make them so my great deal turned into an OK deal when it was all said and done. Not mad at Momentum...just annoying that its that ridiculously expensive literally for a key.

My wife and I had just bought our Volvo and decided to take a road trip to visit our daughter in Georgia when we began experiencing air conditioning problems. We were about an hour out of Houston and contacted the closest dealer Momentum Volvo. The representative asked us to bring the 2020 Volvo XC 90 T6 in and met Gerardo. He made sure that our vehicle was completely checked, the air conditioning working and our SUV washed as well. We were passing through Houston on a road trip and our Volvo XC90 check engine light came on followed by a loud screeching from the engine. I’m familiar with fan belt squealing but this was very different. Fortunately we were able to drive to Momentum Volvo. Without An appointment, of course, or advanced notice Michelle a service advisor promptly met me in the service bay. She said she knew immediately what the problem was and, when finished with the customer she was helping, got me set up to take care of the problem. She worked efficiently to get my vehicle worked in amongst scheduled customers. They suggested rear brake pad replacement which I knew was a legit need on the car. Price was excellent for the job. Dealership lounge was VERY comfy. Excellent job with the complimentary wash. A major stressful situation for us turned into a pleasant afternoon with peace of mind knowing our vehicle was ready for the thousand plus miles we have to drive this week. Great job Michelle and the entire team at momentum Volvo!
Got in quickly to see the car I was interested in. Travis was my salesman from Pre Owned vehicles. 100% the best! He went above and beyond in helping me get this vehicle. The manager was so nice along with the service department manager who I also met. They all made sure the car was set to go and fixed as promised before taking the car home. Liked the convenience of their valet service. My concern was relating the cost involved in fixing a shimmy on my car above 65mph. All in all an alignment, wheel balancing, a random computer upgrade and fixing of my jammed cupholders plus labor costs me in excess of $800! And Ive managed to test drive the car this evening and now my steering wheel is not level with the road, and the vibration still exists. What a terrible mistake to use momentum, youll be better off with discount tire or tire specialist, understandably I feel ripped off. Please be careful all!

It took 4 phone calls to schedule a service, since no one would call me back after leaving voice mails. The basic service for 40k miles was over $1,000. I was told the car would be ready in 2-2.5 hours. Instead it took 3 hours and 15 minutes and I had to leave without the care being washed because I had an appointment. Altogether a very disappointing and expensive experience. This wasnt the first time I wasnt satisfied there, but it was definitely my last service there.
Had a recurring break squeaking issue. The Momentum team was very helpful and agreed to take a second look. They found the cause of the noise and replaced the defective part promptly. Very happy with the final result. Thank you to Brent and Michelle for the wonderful service!
I have always received A++ service from Momentum Volvo. From the concierge pick-up and drop-off of my XC40 to the details of returning it to me clean and like new every time. I purchased my vehicle at this dealership. I brought my vehicle in for a light (“A start/stop”) that was illuminated on my dash and assumed that it was covered under warranty. I specifically told the service advisor that it was covered and he agreed. He told me all that was required “Is to change a little battery” and it will only take a few minutes.” Then, 45 minutes later (25 minutes was it being washed) I was told my car was ready and to meet at the cashier. I was surprised as I thought this service was covered under warranty. Then, I was informed the charge would be $340. Shocked, I asked why I was being charged at all... let alone $340! The advisor said, “sorry, I was wrong, this battery is not covered under warranty.” I was not informed of the charge prior to him replacing it and if I had been, I certainly wouldn’t have agreed to it. Further, I discovered that I was charged $175 for the battery and $150 for labor. First, on the Volvo parts website, that battery is $90. Why was I charged $175? Second, I asked what the hourly labor rate was and I was told it was $144. I pointed out that the labor only took 20 minutes so why was I charged a full hour? He said, “well, that’s just the labor code we use”. Unfortunately I had to get back to work so I didn’t have time to argue with this guy but I called the GM and service manager 3 times each. I left messages but didn’t receive a response.This is unacceptable. It is price gouging and deceptive trade practices. I’m curious to see if I get a call back today.
Michelle proved knowledgeable and efficient in advising and answering questions about my service needs. She was also adept at assigning an experienced service technician who was exceptionally proficient at diagnosing the repairs needed for my vehicle. I appreciate their attention to detail and value of me as a customer.
This is, no exaggeration, one of the best dealerships I’ve ever used. I bought a used BMW hybrid from Jad. The car had a small issue with fast charging (regular charging was fine). Since their lot has no fast chargers, it wasn’t a surprise they missed it. I called Jad and after a complimentary loaner car and three days in their sister BMW shop (momentum BMW) everything was fixed, for free! Not only that they dropped the car off for us in the Woodlands to save us the drive. That is great service and my next vehicle will for sure be bought here. Thanks everyone at Momentum for taking care of us. Top notch service.

I had an awful experience at momentum Volvo. My husband and I came in 100% interested in purchasing a Volvo xc40. We werent even given the time of day. I explained why we were looking, that we are a military family not from Houston originally and are looking for a small suv because of the heavy rain and flooding and I requested a test drive. The sales person didn’t explain anything about the features of the car took me on a test drive where we made 2 u turns to bring us back to the dealership, it was no more than 3 minutes and he still managed to take a phone call from the back. Extremely disappointed, I have since purchased from another dealership. Not only will I never purchase from here in the future but I will also recommend our friends to go elsewhere.

We are avid travelers, so we jumped at the opportunity to pick up our car in Sweden. Its a great program that allows us to purchase the car at a discount without haggling and provides for a free trip to Sweden.
Great service. Very friendly, and took time to communicate the detail of work. Everyone socially distanced, wearing masks. Plenty of socially distanced comfortable seating areas to wait if you choose to do so, as I did. Coffee, tea and water supplied. Plenty of sanitizer.

I know life is expensive, I am a big girl. But, when you go in to have regular, 80,000 mile service and the cost is $1,800 — you’ve got to ask yourself, “am I getting value here?” I did and the resounding answer was, “NO!” The job was completed in less than three hours — that calculates to $600 per hour. I won’t go back. It didn’t help that when I picked up the car the A/C was blasting air at the lowest temperature on driver and passenger side, the seat was all the way forward and every mirror inside and out had to be majorly adjusted. I was cranky — still am.

Michelle, my service advisor was superb. She explained all of the details to me in layman terms. Kept me abreast of any changes that happened. I enjoy her personality. She is very friendly and always offers me a smile. She isn’t stuffy like some of these other advisors.
I spoke to a very rude lady in the service department today. Just moved here and was going to take the car in for some warranty assessment/work. She kept trying to say it would not be covered without even looking at the car.I just told her I’m going to go to a different volvo dealer and hung up because of her rudeness. Too bad because I’m planning to buy a new Volvo T8 and Momentum won’t get my business.I called Volvo West Houston and they were very pleasant after I explained and set up my appointment very easily, i’m taking my business there.

This was a 50,000 mile service. Jerry Bailey was the service advisor. He stepped me through the process of changing the speedometer display and setting the side view mirrors to close upon locking of the vehicle as well as setting the right side view mirror to tilt downward upon putting the vehicle in reverse. I found him to be very knowledgeable about the vehicle. He also offered further comments on steps to take for optimum performance.Jerry also monitored the progress of the service being performed and made sure it was accomplished in a reasonable period of time. I also received a phone call from the dealership inquiring as to the quality of the service.It was an excellent and educational service experience.The 60,000 mile service experience was also 5 star. The thorough review of the vehicle detected very thin brake pads in the rear. The early detection and replacement saved the cost of a more extensive repair. Jerry Bailey continued to share further insights into the day to day care of the Volvo. His demeanor and knowledge continues to reinforce my appreciation for Volvo.

Adrian did an awesome job. Very knowledgeable about all the inventory and was able to make great comparisons to vehicles I was considering. When asked about mobility modifications he directed me to David who was very informative and provided personal feedback. Both offered their personal time to help me in making my decision and for future assistance. So glad a Google search sent me to Momentum.

Good service. I think I was overcharged though. Was told front bumper would need to be taken off to fix front spoiler hence the higher estimate. When I arrived bumper had not been removed and new spoiler had been put on per discussion with advisor, which I agreed with. Hours charged however were not adjusted..

I bought my car from them and have had all maintenance and repairs (only one AC issue to date) done by them. Will definitely be going back to them for my next car?
I would not recommend this dealership to anyone seeking a Volvo. One of their sales associate, Mr. Lawrence, is very combative and unwilling to answer straight forward questions. He becomes annoyed when a customer asks multiple questions or asks to see multiple car options; going so far as rolling his eyes and using profanity. He disparaged other car makers, which does not make for a professional outlook. In Addition, I was asked twice by different associates if I was being helped; Mr. Lawrence was not very present. I was one step away from signing the check and walked away due to the service provided, checkbook in hand half written. No one greets you on the way in, and they offer deals with an expiration time on the same day, not giving enough time for families to discuss best options. The general manager tried hard to clean up after Mr. Lawrence’s actions, but they lost a sale and a customer by virtue of their failure to be transparent, and, above all, respectful. I literally left the dealership in awe and shaking because of the associate’s conduct: rude, combative, and hostile. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone seeking a smooth car buying experience.

They dont have cars. The salesman tried as much as he could.
I have bought 5 cars including Porsche, Volvo and BMW from this dealership starting in 2000. All cars have been serviced by this dealership since new. In the last few years with changes in management and maintenance advisors, and probably technicians but I dont know because you dont get to meet them; the quality of personnel service and the quality of repairs leaves much to be desired. My Porsche is no longer serviced by them, and this will be the last time I take my Volvo for service at this dealership. I expect the experts on my car would recommend proper maintenance requirement and then execute proper procedure to ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle. They failed in many ways. I was just about to head out on a cross country trip, but will have another mechanic shop double check the car before I head out.
Unimpressed. Typical dealership. Once the sale is closed, all the pre-sales talk and promises are ignored and not honored. Get ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in writing from promises to show you how to set up the features and technology to filling the gas tank, etc.
We had a very good experience with Momentum Volvo and our sales person Travis Thibodeaux. Travis had the vehicle ready for us to test drive and walked us through the process with transparency. We also found that after lots of research, this was one of the best prices we found over the internet. Will certainly start with Momentum for our next purchase.
Service advisor Gerardo Hernandez provide the excellent services to my car. He is very knowledgeable, answered all questions I had. He is very patient, kind and professional. I am happy about the fixing my car and will always looking forward to come back to the dealer shop for my regular services or when my car encounters any issues. Jerry provides communication with his CLEAR, CONCISE, and KIND voice. Hes always patient with my son, too, which is a joy for him to learn since he loves cars. My cars service was taken care of and I received a rental car so that I did not have to wait. I would recommend Momentum Volvo to everyone.
