Best staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️As I reflect on my year with The Ranch, it delights my heart to share how amazing the staff and property is. We moved in durning the pandemic so to say that the staff has gone above and beyond throughout this entire year is nothing least than spectacular. Moving onto the property from signing of lease to now has me speechless! Throughout this pandemic we have endured so many changes and I must say, management makes it their business to assist us in anyway possible. Like many apartments you have maintenance issues here and there, yet I’ve never seen a staff work so quickly at completing every single job in a timely manner! I take my hat off to the staff, Imari, Lily, Stormi and Shawn… they are always swarmed with phone calls, current apartment rental clients and new yet they happily help each and every person(s) that comes into the office! The phones ring off the hook but if you send an email management responds within the 24 hr day! Enrique and Brenda has set a awesome culture for this office staff! I’d highly recommend if you’re looking to move into a awesome complex, this is it!!!! You guys are simply the best!!!Continue to make clients happy 😍
I just toured this place yesterday with Lily, her customer service was excellent. I loved the apartments! The pools are nice. The gym is 24/7 there’s lots of parking spaces which has been a big issue in a lot of the apartments I’ve gone to see. Absolutely loved it!!!Update: So me and my fiancé didn’t get a walk through till a couple days before the move in date and we realized the unit was way too small, they told us a bigger unit was available a little more pricey but we really didn’t see ourselves in such a small unit. So I went first thing at 9am to confirm we wanted to change the unit, our leasing agent said it was still available and she wrote on her notebook confirming the change.. & I saw her spoke to her other co workers & I asked her if I needed to sign anything & she said no we were good to go that she’d send me the new contract.. however around 5pm I called because I still hadn’t received it. Well she ends up telling me there was miscommunication and the unit was no longer available and there were no other units with the exact appliances and sq ft that we wanted. Overall, lily was super nice and I didn’t want to write this review but I think I need to inform other residents to make sure that they don’t leave without making sure your leasing agent changes the unit not being available anymore in the system.
This office tricked my friend into a year lease when she only signed a 6 month lease. Now she is super stressed out crying, trying to find a way out this lease so she can be our lawyer. She is set for LAW SCHOOL by the end of the year in Arizona. She has spoken to everyone with authority and they will not be honest and give her the right move out date. They lie here don’t move here. They Don’t like to see black women win. They Are purposely stopping her from getting to law school. If you are reading this, leave a bad review. They will feel my friends pain and stress when Potential residents see all the bad reviews and don’t pay them money or call for an appointment. Word of mouth is the MOST POWERFUL THING IN 2021.

Please disregard my last 5 star review, I wish I could give this complex No Stars for customer service. These apartments rented to residents that STOLE the washing machine and dryer out of their unit upon moving out, which flooded 4 units including mine. So I had to suddenly move 1 MONTH into my 6 MONTH lease agreement, to a new unit. Okay, this was supposed to simply be a transfer in units meaning NOTHING ABOUT MY LEASE AGREEMENT EXCEPT THE APARTMENT NUMBER WOULD CHANGE since they rented to people that lack integrity and clearly steal. BUT, These apartments tricked me into re-signing my lease for an entire year FROM the date I signed what I THOUGHT was a unit transfer agreement. Even though someone is the leasing office already told me you CANNOT EXTEND YOUR LEASE DURING A CURRENT LEASE. So why was my lease extended from 6 months to a year, 1 month into my current lease? Doesn’t make sense. Okay, secondly I am only here for a short time until law school at the end of the year. These people have trapped me into a lease that runs into my school semester that starts In ARIZONA. I purposely originally signed a 6 month lease to Avoid these issues and now I’m in ANOTHER PROBLEM DUE TO NO FAULT OF MY OWN. LIKE MY APARTMENT SUDDENLY FLOODING, Damaging some of my items, and forcing me to move out ALL THE FURNITURE I JUST MOVED IN WASN’T ENOUGH HASSLE. Please avoid these apartments at all cost. They look so pretty on the outside but CAUSE YOU SO MANY LIVING PROBLEMS. As if life doesn’t bring enough problems. If you want to WORRY ABOUT BEING TRICKED BY THE OFFICE, YOUR APARTMENT FLOODING and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE LIVE HERE. If you want PEACE OF MIND DO NOT LIVE HERE PERIOD.
Liliana was very nice in the front office I give 5stars. I just relocated from another state. Iam very disappointed for what Im paying right now. Hopefully it get better every day something is breaking down, property management could do a better job.
Terrible place to live. Loud neighbors. Up stairs and outside. I’ve been woken up multiple times in the middle of the night from people fighting or playing loud music. I’ve called the courtesy officer everytime and they have only showed up once. Now this! My creaking started leaking in the bathroom. Also the fake wood tile in the kitchen are starting to come up/stick to my feet when I walk in there. Roaches have been a problem as well. It takes maintenance forever to come out and work on this issues I’ve been here almost a year and can’t wait till my lease is up
Upon moving here in May, I had absolutely no complaints. However, since November, i have been trying to get my water in my kitchen fixed. I’ve called and visited the office multiple times and the issue has yet to be resolved. I will be contacting corporate today. This is absolutely ridiculous. Here’s a picture of how my water has looked for the past 2 months.UPDATE: the issue was resolved within 2 hours of this post. The office manager, Enrique, and the maintenance manager made a personal visit to my apartment to ensure everything was to my standards.

The Swings Have Been Gone From The Play Structure In The Apartments for A Month Now. The Kids Ask About The Swings Everyday.The Pool Has Been Closed 3-4 Days Out Of The Week Every week For Random Nonsense Since April.Many of the people working in the office are rude and dishonest. They aren’t problem solvers, But problem STARTERS.There are ONLY 2 maintenance workers for the hundreds of units onsite, so please expect your work orders to take anywhere from 1-2 Weeks if it isn’t an emergency order BY THEIR DEFINITION.If you don’t personally bug spray your home weekly, interior and exterior, you will have Roaches.Gnats and cicadas are also a real problem here you can ask ANY OF THE RESIDENTS.Parking spots are extremely LIMITED. There isn’t ample parking.Did I mention the office is dishonest and rude? Before signing ANY Documents with them. Have a LAWYER look over them they are PAID SCAM ARTISTS.There are 2 other equally nice apartment complexes on this SAME Street. Brisa and another ran by people with integrity and honesty in the offices. Rent there don’t come to the Ranch at Shadowlake Apartments, you’ll be sorry just as I Am..
They are scammers! They scammed me into a new lease when my old apartment FLOODED due To them renting to JANKY PEOPLE LIKE THEMSELVES who stole the washing machine and dryer from their unit. They then let my unit mold because a dehumidifier WAS NOT placed in that apartment after 7 days of it being flooded. If you rent apartment 516 on the phase 2 side, please keep watch of your health. I have pictures of mold in that laundry room. I am making it a point to leave bad reviews for everyday I am stuck in this lease, because it’s only fair! My lease was due to END 10/24/2021 they scammed me and now I’m stuck here until 5/28/2022!! They need to fire everyone in the office and hire people that can actually do their job and rent out the units correctly. Not scamming people into apartments to keep money coming in for Olympus. We hope this complex loses more money from these reviews than you will gain trapping me into this lease! We will be taking to Twitter and Instagram next. Cancel Culture is real. #DontRentWithOlympus

The Phase1 vs Phase2 address situation is very frustrating when a duplicate apartment number exists on the other side where Google maps inherently directs everyone. Otherwise a pretty good apartment. I left simply because I couldnt afford it anymore.

Both were very professional, responsive and helpful to our emergency.Mr. Enrique offered solutions to our problem and was ready to help.As a resident, thats what we are looking for from a property management instead playing a run around or a blaming game. I have been living here for 3 months, I never visited the pool but when they showed it to me the first time everything looked good. But today both pools were closed, I will never understand how Easter Sunday all the swimming pools are blocked. They look good, clean .... I did not understand this. If there is a logical explanation for this, I will gladly change the review.

The complex is nice but please let nothing break. That is when one will encounter a headache. My washer has been broken for a week the water in the tub drains out slowly and when I called to inquire as to why it’s taken so long for repair the agent in the front office was rude nonchalant and painted a picture as if I am at fault. I am not sure if I will continue living here once the lease ends. I’m over the rudeness one deals with in the front office
I usually do not post reviews but I am fed up with this apartment complex. I’ve never had such poor service at an apartment complex. It definitely puts a bad taste in your mouth when you’re coming from another state. I pay my rent on time every month but they dont even seem to care about the tenants.I don’t even want to get on the fact that they have us pay for pest control every month but you have to request that they come spray your house. That makes absolutely zero sense, especially when they know they have a bug problem here.Waiting for September because I refuse to stay here any longer than my promised time.
Overall a great place to live. I love how close the complex is to everything. I havent had any issues with the apartment. The only negative is getting in contact with the office. I was inquiring about garages so I called and left messages and emailed with no response. But besides that, maintenance works in a timely manner and I love my apartment.
A decent community to live in. Management engages the residents pretty decent. There are a few things that can be done better. Time response, but it could be worse. One can be satisfied residing here.

The staff and maintenance team at The Ranch have always gone above and beyond for me, particularly Imari, Enrique, Jose and Raul. There are others in the office who have done so as well, which helped me feel safe and supported during Covid and the odd winter storm we just experienced. Imari and the ladies were always available to me for my questions and needs before moving in, returning any calls or emails promptly. They were so very friendly, welcoming & helpful when I visited the office. They’ve followed all Covid standards which puts me at ease as well. Any service requests I have are met promptly, including maintenance fixing my heat in the middle of the night in January, installing a new thermostat. Juan and Raul are the BEST! Imari and all the office staff are rockstars. The Ranch provided drinking water for us during the winter storm and always keep us informed via email on any updates, news or extras in the community. They care—it is felt and greatly appreciated.
I’ve been living on the property for over a year and every concern I’ve ever had has always been responded to and addressed in a timely manner. The front office is always available when needed.
Ms. Delva is the greatest, she literally has been helping me since I moved in about 4 months ago. She has been a driving point in making my stay here so stress-free! Thanks again!

Im almost convinced all of these reviews are fake. I feel bad for maintenance because they are such nice people and obviously do everything in their power to make sure the residents are happy.However, I can NOT say the same about management. My husband was ROBBED in the complex, and wanted to break the lease and management would not work with us. Even after many break ins, security is not adequate, management clearly does not care, and I would highly recommend that you find a way better place to live.TLDR; Management is terrible, find a place to live where you don’t get robbed and the faucet water isn’t muddy.Edit: of course you haven’t found my name in the system, your management is trash lol tell Enrique he sucks

Turned off water all day without giving residents notice. being 6 months pregnant I need to be able to bathe. They said it would be back on today but the day has gone away and no water! I couldn’t clean or flush the toilet. Do you know how many times a pregnant lady uses the toilet?! Alot! I’m disgusted,frustrated,& let down by how all this was handled.
I went to visit my brother and I am impressed by the selection of his property. We went to visit the property we were amazed how clean and and how the staff was just proper and friendly and and the pool was amazing

Not worth the cheap rent.First, I moved here because I was referred by a friend. I had to make a $500 security deposit (despite having a 778 credit score), which could only be made via money order. Two weeks after I moved in, they told my friend who referred me they lost the referral form he filled out, and we had to fill it out again. They also forgot to give me the tag that opens the gate, as well as the tag that gets me into the pool and gym, and it took three months after I moved in to give me one due to technical reasons. Total incompetence.Second, When they were showing me around my apartment, there were a few issues, such as these weird brown circles on my bathroom sink. The employee assured me I could “just clean them off”, but even the professional cleaner I hired couldn’t remove them, and said it was the sink coating wearing off (??). I filed a maintenance request, and they just painted over the spots. I tried making multiple requests after the paint wore off, but all have been ignored. It also took them a month to have someone remove the hornet nest on my balcony.Third, when you try to pay your rent, they will occasionally wait several days before the payment goes through, and then accuse you of being “late”, and I still had to pay the $75 late fee, despite the email confirmation showing that I paid my rent on time. This has happened three times now since I moved here in March 2018.Fourth, when you try to call them to sort out any issues, the phone line is “too busy” 75% of the time. Ive also gotten my neighbors mail a number of times (although thats not really managements fault).Fifth, neighbors can be quite loud. Ive heard everything from loud sex to an angry man beating his kids.Sixth, they nickel and dime you whenever possible. They recently said they were gonna start charging people who had anything (apart from holiday decorations) on their balcony.And lastly, crime here seems to be an issue, and I’ve gotten more crime notices than I’m comfortable with, including kids damaging cars, a number of burglaries, and someone pooping in both swimming pools.Save yourself the time and trouble, and live somewhere a little more decent.
Enrique Mendoza was one of the most unprofessional managers I have ever interacted with . He threatened to bring a wrecker to tow my friends car rather than informing us that auto work is not allowed on the property. Racially charged micro aggression. Nothing has been said to the Hispanic residents working on their vehicles but you see two black Individuals doing the same and there’s an issue.
If all amenities are closed, shouldn’t rent be cheaper? Why is it higher? They never even power wash the stairs ... they need old management back ASAP...No A/C ... no one answers the phone.Smh this place used to be so nice
Ive lived here at The Ranch since June 2017. I can truly say since Ive lived here Ive never had any problems with staff or maintenance. In fact the day I moved in the staff made me feel right at home. Although some of the office staff has changed, the new agents are just as welcoming. I love that I can go online, pay my rent, request a work order and everything is done simply at my fingertips. The office will even text you to let you know when a package has arrived..just another one of the perks I love. I can truly say the property is beautiful and safe for your family.

This place went down the drain quick. Thankfully due to their negligence with emergencies I can break my lease ..: Do not recommend this place whatsoever. Even when they actually had a gym all the machines were broken anyway lol Amenities have been closed for over 3 months and rent price is actually higher. Broken glass everywhere from robberies and a man was robbed at gunpoint July 30 .
Let’s start by saying if i could give this apartment 0 stars i would. I’m not the person to write reviews, i just move on with my life. THIS APARTMENT DESERVES THE WORST REVIEW EVER. I moved in, the apartment was not clean or fixed as promised. Toilets were dirty, shower dirty, dirt on the the doors. Roaches were in the cabinets. We reported damage to the apartment. They never came to fix anything. I reported mold in the apartment and how the vents smelled like mold when the ac came on. They didn’t fix anything then. I seen somebody try and break into my car during the day. I went to talk to Enrique and one of the girls in the office told me the issue i had isn’t a reason i need to talk to Enrique. The staff to the horrible apartment is trash. Last but not least, these apartments sent a payment that i had no knowledge of to collections. I was never called, emailed or mailed information about a balance. I really hope before somebody moves in these apartments they read my review and change their mind about moving in. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment to a homeless person.
The Ranch at Shadow Lake is an awesome place to live. I moved in about a month ago and have had nothing more than a pleasant experience. Not only is the location close to so many eateries and shopping places, but it is in an area that does not flood during severe rainy weather.I adore the layout of my 1 bedroom apartment. All of my neighbors are pleasant and the neighborhood surrounding the area in super quiet.Ms. Ayana in the leasing office is an angel. She was able to assist me with all my move in needs. She always follows up with any questions that I may have (whether it be by email or text).If anyone is looking for a place to call home, then these apartments should be on your list.
I dont ever leave reviews, but the staff here (specifically my leasing agent, Karla) is definitely worthy of one. Karla was beyond helpful and professional, and she worked hard to help me find the perfect unit that fit my desires, even in my random periods of indecisiveness. When she wasnt available, the other staff members had no problem greeting me and helping me out, and treating me with great customer service, and making me feel at home. Maintenance requests are done in a timely fashion, I get a text when packages arrive, and the community is well-kept and clean. I just moved to Houston, so this is my first apartment here, and Im glad I chose this complex!
We have been residents here since November 2019. Weve had individuals move below us on the second level a couple of months ago. This will be my third complaint regarding violation of noise ordinance. Residents below us have been playing music or a television surround sound system so loudly which is causing our floors to vibrate. I have children and my husband has to report to work at 5:00am. The residents need to be given a phone call directly or a notice needs to be placed on their door regarding this matter, not just a general email being sent out to all residents. This is not reaching the residents attention to cease this action/behavior.
If you want roaches crawling on you and your toddlers while you’re asleep; although, you have an exceptionally clean unit then this is the place for you!
Went to visit my friend might I ad that he had been doing some complaining since being there but this time was different he was actually excited to tell me that the new manger on the property was A1 and was taking care of business. Thinking about moving here myself after my lease is up went in to talk to someone ended up meeting the manager myself very cool guy very professional very nice when I was leaving he told if I had any concerns about anything just to let him know and I believed every word he’s a straight shooter I think he got me sold.

I gave one star because I recently applied here since they’re listed on Done Deal Co-sign website and I was rejected still. The leasing guy says I was rejected because of my eviction. Long story short, if you’re applying here through Done Deal then don’t because they do not conduct business with them anymore at least that’s what the leasing guy told me AFTER I applied. I mean the leasing guy was extremely informative, but never mentioned if they conduct business or not with Done Deal like the other listed apartments I contacted. I’m trying to save someone else $310. Luckily the agent I was dealing with through the done deal company helped me out after this fiasco...
Enrique and Kim are the managers of this apartment complex. I’ve lived here for two years they’ve been nothing but charismatic and understanding of anything that we’ve come across. they’ve always handled any of my issues in a timely manner and it’s overall been a great place to live. I couldn’t ask for a better experience.
I recently moved into this complex, and the transition was really good. The apartment I was originally going to lease, they changed it and I was skeptical about other apartments, however they allowed me time to choose which apartment was best for me. I have been here for a week and the issues that I had upon moving in were fixed the next business day. It has been really quiet around here and I feel very comfortable and safe. Also, I see that there is security that patrols nightly. I am so glad that I did not allow the negative comments deter me from moving here. I am very satisfied with my decision.
Horrible management. And for international students are required to pay 6 months in advance, which is insane. We showed our proof of income and the I-20’s and they still wanted us to pay the full lease 12 years. What residents in the us do that. They attend people outside the office with the heat and sunlight.

One of the nicest places Ive stayed. The maintenance is quick, they come the first day you call and issue is resolved same day or next day. At the leasing office Cindy is the best. This was my very first apartment in Houston. The neighborhood was nice and the apartment was perfect for just me. The main complaint I had was with the management. Kim was rude to me during every interaction. The other employees were kind but often my issues were given to Kim which I felt didn’t really care about anything I said to her.I was constantly charged late fees and additional payments for things I was never notified of. If I hadn’t taken screen shots of my account after every payment they surely would have gotten hundreds more dollars from me with their made up charges. I complained on several occasions about not being notified of charges which they claimed they delivered to my apartment. (Why would they not email it or put it on our resident portal?)I had to put in the same work request several times because they were saying the issue was resolved when it was never fixed.Once I finally moved out i called after 30 days to inquire about my deposit. They informed me that it could take anywhere from 30-90 days. (Which is not what the state of TX says) So I called back 90 days later and they tell me that I won’t be getting my deposit back because of a carpet cleaning fee. Again, NICE TO KNOW ABOUT MY MONEY. I just wish they had better communication.
These recent reviews are completely bogus. This is a terrible apartment complex. Ghetto. Loud. Horrible parking. Lazy courtesy officers. Mold on Windows and patio doors. Roaches. People hanging out to the we hours of the night. Lets not forget the crime that we receive notices for every other week. Do not move here. Counting down until May. We are gone!
Ive been living here for almost 7 months now and Ive seen so much improvement in the apartments, management/staff, amenities and the residents. The apartments are beautiful and affordable. I love the ducks in the complex. The area is great and the location is so convenient since we have many places around us. I try to keep my apartment as clean as possible so dont really have a problem with roaches. The only minor thing is maybe sometimes parking can be hard to find at night but other than that, Im so glad I can say that I love my home!
I recently moved in to these apartments and I am completely satisfied. Upon my move in date I was working with Heather who is amazing, however when she wasnt available Cindy stepped up and was able to make the move in process smoothly. Cindy was very friendly and had knowledge about the situation going on with my apartment. As a new resident I can say that Cindy and Heather are both amazing! Thank you ladies!
So they have a Properly Manager named Miss Kim. She is a great addition to the team. I been here since last year right before Harvey. She is such a great person and lights up the room with her presence. I pray she stays here for a long time. Thank You for all you do.
I’ve been here for a year and a half. Absolutely no problems! Maintenance comes quickly. They’ve made some nice upgrades to the community. I have not seen one roach, which is a huge selling point for me. I just can’t sleep or eat well knowing roaches are lurking lol. The location is convenient. The people in the front office have been polite. Overall, I really like this location.Only thing I could think of to make it better is to pressure wash the stairwells of the buildings in the back. It looks nasty.*UPDATE* I don’t know if it’s because of residents reviews or if they already had it planned, but they pressure washed and painted the stairwells!! It definitely made a difference. The area looks so clean now 😁

My family and I will be moving to The Ranch in May. My experience was great. The person that assisted me, Sophia, was wonderful. The other staff in office was great as well. She took me on a tour of the community and showed me the same floor plan that I choose. To allow pets the grounds were very clean I am looking forward to our new home.
Wonderful community. new resident but overall satisfied pretty quiet for the most part. maintenance responds pretty quickly. just wish the gates operated properly and the pool was open more. Also wish it was more security in the parking lots a lot of car break ins, including mine.
I have never left a review on anything because I have never been so dissatisfied with a service to feel the need. However, I cannot stress enough DO NOT MOVE HERE. We have a 3-month lease and I cannot wait to move out. Starting from the beginning we went to move in and the incompetent office staff had no idea that we were moving in, even though we had signed the lease and had the move in date set. We have a 3-bedroom apartment and they would only give us two gate fobs to get in. That wasnt a huge deal but it is an inconvenience to for one person to have to enter the code in every time to get through the gate. Next like everyone else is saying there is the cockroaches. . . Everywhere. . . The pest control service has been out four times in the last 2 months but there will be between 15-20 cockroaches scurry off the counter tops every night if you turn the lights on. I have bought two different kinds of poison and spray and we dont leave food out but the other people in the apartment (I assume) do not do the same so you will continually have cockroaches no matter what you do. Finally, there is the office staff. They are the laziest most incompetent staff I have ever seen. Since I have lived here I have tried to call the office about 20 times and they have never picked up the phone. It goes straight to their voicemail saying that they are currently helping other customers. Once as a test I called the office when I was sitting outside and like normal no one answered. I then walked in and there was not a single customer in the office. However, there was 3 office employees sitting at their desks. When you ask why they won’t answer the phone they say they have been having trouble with their phones and that there is someone coming out to work on them but apparently after 3 months it still isn’t fixed so I know that is a lie. As far as shipping packages go they have a system where the shipping company will come in and check the package into an iPad in the office and then put it in a closet where you can come pick it up. I ordered a package on Amazon and went to the office to pick it up. After 15 minutes of looking for it they told me that Amazon must have lost it because it wasnt there. I ask them how it got checked into their system if it never arrived. They told me to contact Amazon because it wasnt their fault. The Amazon driver took a picture of the package on their counter in the office and they still claim that they never got it. I dont know if the office staff are skimming people’s packages or if they are truly too stupid to be able to keep track of peoples mail but luckily Amazon stood behind it and shipped me a replacement. To keep this review from getting too much longer I will just say that in the time I have lived here the pool has been pooped in twice and one person has been robbed at gunpoint. I will repeat again DO NOT MOVE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT.
My move in day was so easy! The staff was incredibly helpful and very nice to me from the minute I walked in. Since move in, everythings been so quiet, I love it! Im on the third floor with a pretty view and a neighbor on both sides of me. Its great to have a place with sound walls, minimizing outside noise. I have not had any maintenance issues, which is nice. The pools look great and the actual property itself is really well kept!Overall, Im a very happy new tenant that would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a new home 😊
I moved on 02/12/19. First off, the unit was dirty. Stains on carpet in which I was told was new, paint coming off the stove, microwave shooting sparks. A mess. Secondly, I paid for an assigned parking space because parking is a complete disaster. I was assigned 4 spaces in which ALL belonged to other people and after being threatened by another resident for parking in a space assigned to the both of us, I am left without a parking space and a special needs to child to walk undetermined distances. Lastly, my neighbors above me are horrible. Loud music, banging, stomping, children up to crazy hours of the morning. Called courtesy officer and was basically told that they didnt hear anything when they went to the door. Ok. Come stay in my unit. I am already looking for another place to live. This has been a mortifying experience. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
I was going to move to this complex that really is very nice, it is well located, when you show the whole site you fall in love, but they have a couple of problems that I did not check before losing my money in application and admin fees. Right here on Google Maps I read so many bad comments that I later wanted to verify them myself and it is the insecurity with one of the entrance doors open 24 hours and that any person can enter and leave, the other is the lack of lighting in almost the whole complex.I can not understand how such a nice and big place can have it practically in the dark, it is decadent lighting, almost everything is dark at night what makes it easy for any criminal to steal car parts as they say here and put in risk the safety of those who live there.I was a few weeks before the date of moving to verify at night and between several times, walk everywhere and corroborate everything they say here. the manager should take the example of her Knox neighbors who have very good lighting throughout the complex and the doors always closed.
I love this place. Management has change like every apartment complex but we have wonderful office staff. Heather, Katerina and Cindy are my go to ladies. They are all wonderful. Love the ducks and the lakes. The property is always clean and if I need any maintenance orders to be completed after hours they came willing with no complaints. Highly recommend The Ranch. A team staff. ❤️
Heather is the ONLY great front desk person left here. I’ve been here since 2016 and they have changed stuff like crazy. She’s so friendly and understanding and always willing to help! She deserves 10 stars! But like I said she’s the only one.
The apartments are under new management. The apartments are very nice. Everything is so beautiful here. The staff in the office are really nice and entertaining, they sang to me and all greeted me with excitement. They almost brought my Christmas spirit out early. They also compete to be the first one to greet there residents/future residents. The pools, yes pools, and gym are great as well! And they have a nice park for the future baby thats on her way!
I just have to say Ayana, Kim and Enrique are the best at what they do. I was schedule to move in on October 1. There was a little hiccup, but they worked so hard to get it done and was able to receive my keys. Im a first time renter and Im so happy with my results.
The new manager, Mr. Mendoza, is awesome and efficient! I had some worries about lighting around my building. He fixed it, as soon as I made him aware of my concerns. Thank you, sir!
RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!! I wish I could give this place zero stars. My mom and I walk into the office to just inquire about the property, and the office staff we’re having such a good time we each other that they didn’t greet us. Finally, the black guy noticed us and said any information would have to be quick because they close in 45 minutes. So, reluctantly, we say okay and everybody buried their heads in the desk so no one wanted to be the one to answer simple questions. If they treat potential residents there, I can only imagine how they treat the residents. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!
After a year and a half living here, the nice appearance building is just an illusion. In a month there have been people breaking into my car twice, and its not just happening to me, the crime level here is getting out of hands. The gate is always broken and anyone can get in at any time. No security at all.Im glad im finally moving out, this place could have some potential but so many downfalls.
I really enjoy the community. Everything is very calm and quiet. And usually if I have a problem they send someone really fast. The leasing agents at the office Adriane and Jessica were really nice and extremely helpful when I got my apartment.
Once again, I am trying to get in contact with someone at the front office via phone and NO ANSWER. I have to call SEVERAL times in a day to get someone to answer, usually to be told to call back to speak to the manager at a later time. The phone either goes to their answering service, or just rings and rings and eventually says this number is no longer in service.And unlike the other responses on here, do not tell me you recommend that I stop by the office in person. Some people work longer hours and are not able to come by the office. If I have an issue on a Monday I should not have to wait until I am available to stop by the office in person the following weekend to get my issue resolved. Or god forbid I have other plans on the weekend than making sure I have time to stop by the office in person.Lived here for over a year and while things have improved over the last few months with a change in management, there are still MAJOR issues with this apartment complex, staff and the other tenants.

These people have the worst service ever! They don’t acknowledge you as you walk in, they can let you wait for up to 30 min for just a question or to pick up a package and they won’t even care to ask what you need. I hate coming into the office but unfortunately if I requested for my packages to be delivered at my door, I’d get them stolen or left with empty boxes at my front door. Can’t wait to move!
Ive been here for about month and Im very happy. Everyone is super nice and the facilities are very clean. Love the pools, duck, the gym, the playground, parking is decent. Def. best bang for your buck!

The management team is very professional and always ensuring each of their residents are taken care of. I have been a resident here for a year and I have no complaints. The property is in a good area and is always kept clean and landscaped. The maintenance team is very prompt when completing work orders.
Went to look at the apartments last week. Was quoted $833, called a week later to speak about the online price which was $1000 for a 650sq ft. Now, when I called I asked to speak to whom I seen in the office. The young lady that answered, must have been having a bad day as she rejected my questions with they change hourly (the prices). So with that being said I will take my business and my living experience to a different location as I was instantly treated with a disengaging attitude.
Lived here for a year or so and loved it. Staff was understanding, safe, and clean. Beautiful pool and clubhouse. I’d consider moving back if I returned to the city!
I recently became a resident at Ranch at Shadowlake. My agent was Ayanna and let me brag on how thorough, kind friendly and professional she was in making sure I recieved my special move-in deal. This type of warm professionalism is what makes me glad I decided to call this place home. The property is very well kept and the overall appearance of the property is very manicured 👍🏾👍🏾

Our lease is about to expire on our current apartment. We were looking at apartments to move in May 26. We had already gone to several apartments by the time we reached this one. We walked into the office and asked the older, heavyset, black lady with the yellow wig if they had a 3 bedroom 3 bath coming available around May 25 or 26. Without even looking, without even asking if we would consider something else, without even telling us if they had something else coming available, she just looked at us and said, with the most fake smile imaginable; We dont have anything. I looked it up on their website when we got home, and there are three 3 bedroom 2 baths available on MAY 26. She could have offered us that. Now, we are moving into a much better place with better staff, but someone needs to say something about the staff in this place.
Been here for almost 2 years and not a single problem besides a little lag with maintenance repainting my walls and parking but Brandy ( property manager ) is all over it she got this! Overall a great place to stay, everytime I walk in the leasing office to find the ladies ( Katerina, Kim, Heather, Cindy and Miss Ayana ) it feels like family. Dealing with issues here in the past with the previous crew were horrible but Olympus knew what they were doing when they hired this new crew love these ladies . Ever since I have came there has been NO ROACH PROBLEM (unless you bring them in yourself ), the cats are strays so we cant do anything about them, they mind their Business and go on . The wonderful Ducks are family and were here if you came in through the leasing office .If you dont like them go back to section 8 Chile . But my Experience here has been nothing but amazing .Thank you for all that you do to assure it is the best place to call home
Moving Out. Worst Management & rude. The staff Ms. Sofia try to mislead & swindle. She sets own rules & request will never be resolved. Worst service I have encountered in lease management. The Phase-1 main gate most of the time get stuck up & open to all.In the apartment there were bugs & Roaches even after several pest control. The pools will be closed during summer months so no use of money paid. Management dont even care about the residents concerns.I would never suggest this place & they need to change admin with service minded people.

I have rented many apartments in which my brief experience with The Ranch at Shadow Lake has by far been the worst. That is not hyperbole either. I mean this sincerely. Several of the staff members I interacted with appear incompetent at best. I would not recommend anyone rent with this property.To start, in early October I received a verbal confirmation from a leasing agent at The Ranch regarding a rent price. This price was not honored after I returned less than two days later to the leasing office. In fact, the rent price increased substantially between that time. When I spoke to a leasing manager about this, she told me that the leasing agent should have immediately drafted a lease agreement document in order to lock-in the verbal confirmation price. The leasing staff continued to work with me in searching for a suitable unit which leads to the following below.Here’s a short version of what happened. My current apartment (not The Ranch) lease expires November 30th. I signed the lease agreement for The Ranch at Shadow Lake on November 16th with the expected base rent of $740 for 12 months. I received a phone call November 18th explaining the unit I already signed for was no longer available. Initially I was told the appliances had to be replaced and therefore the move-in date would be pushed back. No one offered a solid date to which the appliances would arrive. Days later I was told the structure of the unit was not suitable to live in. Furthermore, among the agents and property manager there was not a consistent explanation as to why the unit was not available to me.In desperation, I asked that they accommodate me for this inconvenience. Their fist offer was to have me move into a same size unit with a base rent price of $883. Mind you, I SIGNED A LEGAL-BINDING LEASING AGREEMENT for $740 before this. I rejected the $883 offer. They subsequently offered to reduce the rent price to $809. I declined this offer as well. In short, they were unwilling to honor the lease agreement AFTER I already signed the lease for it. The second offer was made to me on November 21st. Mind you again, my current lease expires November 30th. For the leasing staff to notify me that close to the move-in date, that the unit I signed for was unavailable, and further, the rent price would not be honored for a different unit, is entirely unacceptable and unprofessional.My opinion, I believe the $740 rent price they offered initially was a great deal that they wanted to backtrack on. I believe they lied about the unit I signed for being in such bad shape that it could not be rented to me. I believe they also lied about not being able to honor the $740 rent price.In sum, I made the decision to renew the lease with my current apartment instead of moving to The Ranch. Thankfully the unit I’m in was not set to be rented by someone else. On principle alone, I would rather pay more for an apartment than be swindled into a lease with The Ranch. No one should accept the negligence and unprofessionalization demonstrated by the staff I interacted with at The Ranch. To top it off, my application fee was not refunded to me either.To reiterate, I would not recommend moving into The Ranch at Shadow Lake. Avoid this none sense at all costs.
Worst experience. First of all to much breaking windows and stealing wheel. Second, manager in the leasing is totally joke he name is Will. The main thing after you leave from this apartment, you gonna have to pay for the new carpet and all cleaning. Before I left I got carpet cleaning company and professional maid. I have all recipes. And also before I turned the key the lady from leasing office walk with me and checked. She said totally nice condition apartment. What are Joke. They dont know what they doing. So after 1 year I got massage from collection agency, they said I own them $605. They send to collection without notice, call, and email. Please beware . I dont recommend to anybody!!!
