I’ve lived here about a month, and I love it so far! The apartment is super cozy. The management is really easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. Maintenance has also been really nice and responsive! They came by a few days after move in and fixed everything from my inspection. Overall, really enjoying it so far!
This place is in a great location 3 minutes from Memorial Park. However thats the only good thing about it. Victor, the manager is a lying tyrant that takes pleasure in punishing residents for no reason and taking our amenities away and then not answering any questions when the residents ask him why. The maintenance supervisor is lazy and incompetent, though the other maintenance workers are very good. If you move here expect to be lied to constantly by management. They dont care and they dont have any morals or integrity.
Im excited to Move in ! Isabella helped the entire process and was very helpful!I have now moved in and been here two months almost and it has been a dream. Rosie has also assisted me and guided me and been very helpful with all my questions . Shes so knowledgeable and knows the property very well!
Rosie the leasing agent was super rude claiming covid prevented us from getting a tour. I should also mention she wasn’t wearing a mask.... seems super principled right? She showed us floor plans talking a mile a minute and was terribly rude. Also, it looked pretty run down and not maintained. Tiny gym, ugly pool, and terrible service. I look forward to leasing elsewhere and dodging this mess of a place.
Lived here for 6 years, this is what I can say about this place:Location is nice, close to lots of things in the city, although we did have frequent problems with cars getting broken into, wheels stolen, even one or two armed robberies in the garage. The gates are ALWAYS broken at this property.Amenities are nice in terms of pool and basketball court but the apartments are a bit outdated.Maintenance responds quickly to most requests. My biggest complaint is the coward management running this property. I tried for 2 weeks to schedule a move-out inspection before I was scheduled to move out and kept receiving the run-around from the assistant manager. She was always at lunch, unavailable, unwilling to get back to me, etc. Then, after Ive moved out I find out that Im being charged extra for things that were in bad shape when I moved in (6 years ago !)See you later Cheval. Be warned.
We searched for an apartment and came across Cheval Apartments and instantly fell in love. We toured with Miss Rosie and she was awesome. Her patience, gratitude and knowledge of the place ended our search. The move in process was fast and easy. We didn’t have to look any further because we found our new home! Any questions you have, Miss Rosie is very attentive and willing to help at any time! I’m excited about the move next month and look forward to having a really great experience.
This place is beautiful! They’ve thought of everything when it comes to amenities! The staff was very helpful and patient. I even saw a few floor plans I wasn’t intending to but so glad I did.I’m applying today and I believe this will be the best place I’ve lived so far in my 15 years in Houston. Excited!
Ill preface with- Im very picky and have high expectations. Well... weve lived here a month and I cant say enough good things! Rosie was very patient and helpful. Before we moved in, she was kind enough to show me the apartment a couple of times to take measurements for furniture, etc. There were minor maintenance issues after moving in, but they were quickly taken care of. Ive also been helped by Nicole who was just as helpful as Rosie. (Its rare when theres more than one helpful person at any leasing office! This is wonderful!) The property is always clean. Landscaping is always in good shape. During the recent storm, the roads into the property were underwater. The residents were sent email alerts on the status, which was really helpful. So far, so good. Thanks Cheval staff for going the extra mile!
Lived here for 2yrs and by far the best apartments I have lived in the Heights area. The staff here is absolutely caring and the maintenance staff are quick on all service calls. Nothing negative to say about from the entire time I resided here. I definitely recommend this apartment complex. The only reason Im leaving is because I purchased a home.Thank you Cheval for the great memories
With everything that’s been going in the world, it’s even harder to find a place when you can’t even look at the complex you’re moving to. The Cheval did a great job of making this process easier for me, by answering questions, virtual tours, and just being all around great people. Nicole was the one who helped us with getting our lease and was super helpful!
The staff is very helpful and pleasant. It’s a very lovely community. The location is great! I’ve met some other residents and some have lived here for 9years!
Moved in over a year ago and loved it! Coming from our previous horrid apartment experience, this place is amazing! I will say their updated kitchen has a minor flaw where the double fridge doors hit the edges of the wall and the cabinet immediately next to it... makes it hard to reach in there fully (and we’re tiny ladies)... so if you’re pretty buff, this might be an issue- check before moving in. Also, the only really negative part I can think of are the really THIN walls and ceiling. If you have jerk upstairs neighbors won’t stop stomping or have a dog, it will probably be a problem like it was for us. But we asked for a 4th floor transfer and management was super accommodating since that neighbor wasn’t receptive to our asking nicely to stop.Other than this, management is great, parking is great, maintenance guys are quick and very thorough! Property looks clean. Gym needs major updates, haven’t seen any creeps around, and I do see security car circling occasionally. They’ve also had some cool gatherings for the residents. We’re very comfortable here :)
Just toured the property today and honestly I cant wait to move in and call it home. After touring a few apartments I found this with amazing amenities, two pools, full gym, tennis and basketball court, lots of space and storage and such a cozy feeling. The apt upgrades theyve been making look amazing. Nicole at the office was very friendly and helpful. I love the fact that is still in the city but outside enough to avoid the craziness not to mention easy access to freeways. Highly recommended.
I am so excited to move in! Nicole Edwards was super helpful with answering all the questions that we had. She is very patient and is extremely nice. The area is nice, and Im looking forward to making this my new home.
The complex is amazing!Me and my wife had a fantastic experience with them! The staff is nice, Isabel, Rose, Nicole were always there to help whenever we need, and people from maintenance were always there if we needed! The location were perfect for us, right next to 610. They also have a very nice gym with equipments for your whole body and weights until 50lbs .The tennis court is also one part that we used to use a lot witch is very well kept, brand new net, has good lights whenever you want to play after 6. The swimming pools are excellent as well and the residents from the condominium are very nice! Thanks you all!See you sometime soon...
In my search for a new place to call home I found it once I stepped foot into the Cheval and there I met Nicole who sat down and explained all options and even went over it twice as I had so many questions. She did not once get frustrated and was very nice. I received a full tour of the complex which made my choice very easy along with the layouts. I would recommend if you are in the looks of a place to definitely stop by a visit. Being that they are at 97% capacity most of the time alone let you know this is a place to live.
Rosie was very helpful in identifying apartments that fit our specifications and guiding us towards the right apartment for us. She was honest and enthusiastic, which made the whole process much easier and gave us greater confidence in our decision to lease here.
I’ve been living here for 2 yrs so this will be an honest overall assessment. I’ve personally read the google reviews and I can surely relate to a few. The initial interaction with the staff at the beginning is very pleasant. Everyone is nice and welcoming! After actually living here...not as nice. When I have questions or concerns it seems as if the staff is really dismissive and could careless. Recently there has been packages that have been stolen due to the mailboxes being loose. I’ve had 2 mail items stolen from my box which is disturbing and for the staff to have an oh well attitude; is quite disturbing. The quality of the apartments aren’t as they seem and are overpriced. Pictures online are beautiful compared to reality. I will surely be cutting my term short so I can live in a better quality apartment &/or home worth my buck with better security etc.
EDIT: I just recently bought a home and moved out of Cheval. Just want to thank the staff for being so accommodating throughout the year and a half that I lived there. This was a great community to live in and I have made many friends here. Perfect location. No traffic compared to further in the Heights or below i10.OLD POST:I just recently moved into a one bedroom at Cheval. Rosie gave me a tour and she instantly made me feel at home! Very sweet and welcoming. Whenever I moved in, the apartment was spotless. I came in prepared to clean, as every other apartment complex I have lived at prior was not near as prepared. I didnt have to clean a thing! This made moving in so much easier. This is the perfect location if you work west of i10. Easy access and the there is never any traffic right around this complex.
AWESOME PEOPLE. MANAGEMENT IS CERY CONSIDERATE AND NICE. GREAT AMENITIES! COULDNT ASK FOR A BETTER PLACE TO STAY.
So far, so good! I chose Cheval, because they were quick to help, had a great location, and they definitely have the most amenities which was a huge plus for me. Looking forward to using the awesome pools and sand volleyball in the summer.
My experience so far has been incredible. I am very pleased with everything this apartment complex has to offer. Maintenance service is very fast and reliable. The staff is always very helpful and understanding of the needs in the complex and with the tenants. We are in love with the self service concierge package. The amenities here are plenty. There is always something to do in this complex as well. I love how the staff is always trying to build a community through all the events that go on during the week. Family nights, work out sessions, volleyball tournaments, you name it. There is always something going on at this complex. Furthermore, the landscape is always very clean. The place is conveniently located near main highways and lots of restaurants and shopping centers.
The most beautiful property ive ever seen! Nicole and her fellow leasing agent colleague were SO NICE & HELPFUL! Answered all of my questions, were very safe and sanitary in these times of Covid 19, just all around a great place to be. Definitely planning on staying here for a while. 10/10 no complaints at all!
Where to start. 1. The reviews are all FAKE. Nicole (leasing agent) bribes you to leave a good google review in order to get the application fee waived. Upon greeting, Nicole was rude to my partner and I, and everyone else who walked in, but her attitude immediately changed once we told her we had an appointment.2. My partner and I started the application process, ($75) and we decided to hold a unit for $99. Unfortunately we had to cancel the whole process due to a last minute job offering, that was outside the city, making commute plans extremely hard. Therefore we had no option but cancel the process. I figured we wouldn’t get the application fee back which was fine, but we were never warned nor told that the hold ($99) would not be refundable. Keep in mind we didn’t sign anything yet. Nicole said it would be fine to get it refunded, she just needed to confirm with her manager and would return my call. I never got a call back. So I called, next thing I know she spoke to her manager earlier, informed me it was nonrefundable. Even in these difficult times (Covid) they still have the nerve to keep my money and not even “try” to help. We would have moved in if it was not for this job offering I got last minute. But thank god we also read some yelp reviews....3. This place has their cars broken into and stolen a lot, we found this out through yelp reviews and later confirmed with someone we personally know that lives here. It was obvious stealing was a thing here when a resident came into the office asking about her package that was “delivered to the office” and they did nothing nor acknowledged her. Keep in mind she searched everywhere including the mailroom. They have no cameras on site.Bottom line, if you are going to live here make sure the leasing agents explain everything in full detail. I wish I read the yelp reviews first before even coming in to view and apply here so I wouldn’t have wasted my time or money. We only came in b/c the google reviews where 4 almost 5 stars, which in reality are all fake bribes.
Awesome Customer Service. Rosie assisted me on the process of applying and getting approved as a new resident. I am very happy and very excited to move in at the end of this month.
Awesome Customer Service. Rosie and Nicole assisted me on the process of applying and getting approved as a new resident. Great location and Resort style property!!
I will officially be moving in next week, but I highly recommend working with Nicole Edwards. During the application process, Nicole was very thorough and answered every question I had. She also gave a great tour of the facility and pointed out all of the amenities as well. I am very much looking forward to moving into this complex, as Nicole has made me feel right at home. Thanks again!
Nicole has been very helpful and accommodating throughout the whole leasing process, especially providing the virtual tour. Staff is very friendly and helpful in answering all questions. We are looking forward to move in :)
Nicole has been very helpful throughout our leasing process. The apartments are very reasonably priced and in a quiet area. There are upgraded apartments available and staff is flexible with needs.
Rosie was amazing at helping me get set up with the perfect apartment for me and made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions! cannot wait to move in!!!
So, I have been looking for good apartments for about a month and happened to make a stop at The Cheval apartments. I was helped by Rosie who was really nice and helpful to us explaining all the fees and deposits as well as helping us find the right fit for us. I really liked the complex and the location is perfect with easy access to downtown, work, the heights, and memorial city mall. On the tour through the apartments, Rosie showed us all the amenities and am personally excited about the massage spa! 😅 Overall, I am really impressed and hope to call this place home!! Thanks for all your help Rosie!!
Me and my roommate have been living here for almost a month and we love it so far! The leasing process was very easy (mostly everything done online) and everyone in the office was very helpful, especially Rosie, shes very attentive and you can tell she cares about her residents. Thanks to her our experience has been very pleasant. This place has a very chill environment for young families and professionals, and with a lot of furry friends. 10/10 would recommend 👌
My husband and I toured this place recently. The lady who helped us was professional and patient. The amenities here are amazing and the apartments are spacious. The only reason we ended up going with another place was because I didn’t like the concrete floors on the ground floor. But its a great place in a seemingly safe location with no flooding history.
We lived there a year and it was great. Management and tenants were the best. If we hadn’t bought our house we would never have left. I would definitely recommend Cheval to be your new home. Very happy.
I am finding my experience at the Cheval to be pleasant. The self-service concierge service is convenient. There is a visible security presence. Gate only breaks due to resident intentionally breaking it, but gets repaired quickly. The office staff is always friendly, responsive, and respectful showing genuine concern. Their work never stops! They are customer facing the whole time they are there, which is exhausting, so I appreciate the smile! Would like to see the walkways and the residents entry areas washed more. Some residents do not clean up after themselves and it make the property look dirty, but the common elements, landscaping, and property overall is well kept by management. Feeling proud of your home even as a renter is important and I feel the management team shares this feeling as well.
Moved in back in March and absolutely love the ambiance and European vibe of this place. Due to the pandemic I’ve been missing back home (Alaska) a lot but I’ve found comfort in my apartment and the hominess the Cheval has. I love the palm trees and the fact I had an option to pick a unit overlooking the lap pool. It’s quiet and serene. My only wish is that the gym had a stairmaster 😅. The grounds are always clean, being on the 4th floor I don’t have to worry about hearing neighbors above me and I never hear my neighbors across the hallOr the one I share a wall with.Rosie was a great host in showing me around and asking my every question when I initially moved in.
I lived here for 2 years and loved it! Never had any problems, management and maintenance were always fast and prompt. Enjoyed the resort like pool and the package concierge. Highly recommend living here!
I went to tour the Cheval & had the wonderful experience of being able to talk with Nicole. She was knowledgeable, friendly, charismatic and informative. She was incredibly patient and answered all thousand of my questions and even let me go see the unit twice.
Ive looked at a lot of apartments in the Houston area and I think Cheval is definitely a great deal for the rent prices they are offering. A ton of amenities including a nice gym and two nice pools. Nicole Edwards was super helpful finding the perfect apartment for me, not to mention a really good move in special! I recommend it for anyone who wants to live in the Houston area and not pay ridiculous rent.
I am unfortunately moving out of state, and that is the only reason I would leave this place. I had a wonderful year and a half living here. Not only was the management kind, and responsive, but so was the maintenance crew. My washer and dryer were not working well a few months back. I sent a service ticket in via the app provided, and exactly one week after the ticket was sent the dryer was fixed and a whole new washer was installed. They came to asses water damage from a unit above me, and repaired the damage quickly. One of the maintenance crew even came to help me with my breaker when I ran into him in the hallway. Everyone is super friendly. Before the new concierge package delivery was installed, the staff had to diligently sort and distribute packages to everyone during the hectic holiday season. Not once during any occasion did the staff not smile, nor have a cheery attitude. They always greeted me and other residents happily, and always tried to create community and festive events for all to participate in. That is not common in such big complexes. I really enjoyed living at Cheval, and found it to be a super affordable and wonderfully located residence.
During my recent visit, Mrs. Rosie was very helpful and very attentive to what I was looking for in my search for a new apartment. Made my decision very clear to my choice of apartments. She was very hospitable in every way and for that I Thank her highly.
Nicole was amazing! She was smart, caring, and made it such an enjoyable experience. I’m so excited to get moved in and enjoy my time at Cheval Luxury Apartments. 👏🏻
First placed I lived in Houston after moving from out of state. All the staff has been accommodating and professional. The monthly events to bring the Cheval community together have been fun and helped introduce me to my neighbors. Rosie and Nicole were especially helpful every time I went to them with a concern.
Awesome complex! The front desk staff is very friendly and very helpful! There is also plenty of parking at this complex so you dont have to park on the street.
The Location, customer service and the apts. are great. Nicole, was very helpful and accommodating to my needs at such short notice.
I am writing this review to show how much I appreciate Billy and the maintenance team! He was kind, respectful, and responded quickly to my problem in my apartment and finished the work perfectly in a timely manner! He went out of his way (this was a last minute situation) to help me out with my problem. Thanks again Billy!!
Shout out to the Cheval maintenance crew for the prompt action on my maintenance request. Prior to moving in I bought a nest thermostat. I was not sure how to install it and I did not want to risk damaging anything in the apt. I put in a maintenance request to see if they could install it and the response time was really quick. They did mention that it was something they do not normally do but they did a wonderful job. The nest was set up correctly and it looked professional. They cleaned everything up after and not only did they install the nest but they also were able to answer some questions and concerns I had on other items in the apt. Super helpful staff. I am very pleased.
These apartments look really nice. Every one in the front office was really helpful and nice. Im happy to say I will be a future resident.
Rosie was very helpful during leasing/application processes. Apartment has been great so far, and amazing amenities! Highly recommend for young professionals.
I moved from Dallas due to work and so far I am loving it. Office staff is very pleasant and helpful. I am loving the events can’t wait for the volleyball tournament!!!
Nicole and Rosie are such tremendous staff. There are very helpful and these apartments are absolutely beautiful
Took a tour of this place and within a few minutes I knew I had found my new home. I had 2 other places lined up today but for the area and the price, the others couldnt even compare. Nicole was greeted us early this morning on a saturday and was a joy to walk with. She knew all about the complex and let no question unanswered. CANT WAIT TO MOVE IN!!!!!!!
I must say the leasing consultant Rosie Martinez was very professional and very knowledgeable. She provided all the answers for the questions asked. I look forward to becoming a tenant with Cheval.
I’ve lived on this complex twice already. Finally decided to post a review. Moved out a year ago.The location is great if you want to be near the city but at the same time secluded. Super close to major highways.Good- Every unit has a balcony. Great pool with a hot-tub as well and there’s a separate lap pool, volleyball court, Tennis court, guest parking never an issue ( that’s a for sure issue everywhere else), recent package concierge system. Never had issues with unit, maintenance requests were attended to quickly.Bad- Management was rude. Volleyball court needs new sand. Gym is very small with limited equipment.
With everything going on with Covid-19, the Management team has remained available for residents. The team even hosted a to-go breakfast for resident. It was a much needed moral boost!
Rosie has been so helpful with me and my roommates move in experience. The staff is pretty attentive. Thank you!
I met the new leasing manager Joey on Friday and he was very approachable, professional, and personable. He seemed to have a genuine care for us as residents and my interaction with both him and the property manager Robin makes me look forward to my stay at Cheval. They even cared about my input on the Christmas decorations !!!! How awesome !!!!
I visited the property with my daughter this week after our house had been damaged in the recent storm, Imelda in search of a new home. Marvin was absolutely incredible in handling us with care! He was gracious, knowledgeable of the property, friendly, professional, and funny during our time together. He made several suggestions and did a great job in presenting what the community had to offer. Even with a newer property right across the street that I was also interested in, he convinced me that I would feel more at home at Cheval. My follow up visit was to see the actual unit was also pleasant and easy going with no pressure to lease but subtle encouragement was given by Marvin. I also spoke with Nicole during the application process who was just as professional, pleasant and easy to communicate with. My teenage daughter fell in love with the property and she cant wait to move in and have friends over to enjoy the many amenities with her! After visiting 3 other nearby properties that just didnt have that warm and fuzzy feeling (2125 Yale, Lofts @ West 18th, and 2121 Ella) I am also looking forward to calling Cheval home.
Toured the facilities and so excited to move in!! Nicole was super helpful. Definitely recommend checking this place out when youre apartment shopping!
Very excited to move into the apartment complex. Very helpful leasing agents. Clean well maintained property and units.
I have lived at Cheval for 5 years now and wouldn’t live at any other apartment complex. The location is great, the staff is friendly, the people that live here are quiet! I highly recommended!
I’ve lived here since 2016. Great complex. Garage parking with plenty of visitor parking on top and outside the complex. The two pools are nice and there is a sand volleyball court. This place is great during a flood as when Harvey hit there was no flooding here oppose to the other side of the street. The rooms have high walls and washer/ dryers. Close to I-10 and 610 is a huge plus. The staff are nice. I’ve treated them with niceness with respect when handling issues and they have always resolved it without a hassle. The only negative is that their listed rent price doesn’t include the mandatory valet trash and cable tv charge that’s about $64. I wish they replaced the cable part with internet as that’s all I really need.I’ve been here since then so that proves this place is great to me.
We moved in about a month ago and the staff has been so helpful. They’ve always gone above and beyond to meet any needs or requests that we have. The amenities are more than I could’ve thought.
My experience is based only on the complex tour that I had today. I went in for information on a 2 bedroom, Rosie was such a lovely person I had to write a review about her. She greeted me with a big huge smile. Right away tried to get me the best rates for my prize point. Her great attitude and smile was very welcoming!
Had a great experience with the office staff! They were prompt, delightful, and extremely helpful!! They did their absolute best to help me find the apartment that I was looking for. I was skeptical of the reviews from this place when first moving in, but its clear that they love their jobs deeply, as well as, their residents!
Really superb staff and customer service - very attentive to the needs of the residents. The facility itself is beautiful and continues to be improving! Love it here!!
Im back! I lived at the Cheval in 2017 and had a great time living here but my son needed to come back home so we moved out. So far its been great, when I walked into the apartment well be residing in it was like being back home again. Nicole made everything super easy and explained everything. Its great to be back!
Rosie is the best, made moving in a breeze! Loving the apartments so far!
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. I lived here for a year and was very happy with my choice! The location is PERFECT and sooo convenient! You can walk or run around the complex or to memorial park. The gym is nice and the pool is as well. The staff was always friendly and the new mailing system they have is super cool! No need to rush from work to make it for package pickup before they close anymore. The work orders we submitted throughout our lease were addressed promptly and without issue. Upon move out, the damage charges were detailed with pictures and all seemed to be fair and what we expected (we have a pet). The only reason we moved out is because we bought a house, otherwise, we would have renewed. Loved our stay here and would highly recommend. I am surprised at the bad reviews, but keep in mind those reviews are from angry people. We were 100% satisfied with our lease. Thank you Cheval!
Nicole helped me out and was very understanding & helpful. The property itself is beautiful.
Ive lived here 6mo and its been a great experience! Its quite, clean, and safe. Staff is great when you see them in the office but theyre not the best with emails. Overall, a great price for the location!
Fantastic amenities. Convenient location. Well maintained. Attentive staff.Very highly recommended for young professionals to retirees.Id suspect anyone complaining might have been extremely demanding and or part of the problem.
It has great location going for it. When I moved in the lady was mad because it was about time for her to get off work. She did not explain how to use anything at the apartment far as getting in the pool, gym, or when it closes things like that. My point is she was not helpful and made us feel like a hassle. Also they did not say once anything about having to give them a 60 day notice before you move out on your move out date or when your lease ends. It is in the fine print which I did not read expecting it to be similar to my last 4 apartments. When I was ready to move out... Guess what? They would not let me. Also the door that hides the washer and dryer in the kitchen, broke when opening it. That happen when we first moved in and they never fixed it even though we asked more than once. It is a nice apartment complex, but I regret choosing this place.
Ive lived here 6mo and its been a great experience! Its quite, clean, and safe. Staff is great when you see them in the office but theyre not the best with emails. Overall, a great price for the location!
The property is very nice, Nicole was great at giving a tour, excited to move in!
Apartments looked great. Nicole was great and answered all of questions. We decided to move in August
I love it here! Its like being at a resort. The amenities are great and the staff is always great to work with.
Horrible experience! I do not believe that I have ever written a review on a company in my life. However I feel as if this one is going to save someone time, money and energy. I walked in the place and was ignored for about 20 minutes while the *staff caught up on the latest gossip. Then finally a lady came in from break and apologized. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY SIGN TO LEAVE! I went through the show n dance process. She mentioned the resident reward for a positive review but its not worth it. The bottom floor was dirty and I saw a few friends in the model but I was pressed for time so I accepted an apartment on the other side of the maze like property. Next I paid the processing fees. I make enough money to lease the place, no record and no bad credit. I was told all was well. Next day, the rude *assistant manager flip the entire process on me. Though they have a ton of empty apartments, I was told if a single item (good or bad standing) on your credit report immensely increases the move in fees! The bogus special is as fake as the staff! Lastly, I went to speak to the staff-ran into a current resident who confirmed the critters, broken everything on property, parking safety, rude staff and roller coaster fees. You literally will pay 2.5 times the amount that you will for a house. SKIP THE FAKE APOLOGIES AND RUN! One more time, SKIP THE FAKE APOLOGIES AND RUN! I hope this helps someone find a much better apartments in the heart of the heights. My rating (negative) -------1000
Have been a resident for four years. Frankly, I am shocked to see some of the negative reviews here. Must be spiteful people who were dunned for failure to pay rent. Cheval is a great place - beautiful facilities - an excellent gym - a great pool in the summer and many other amenities. They are very quick to fix any problem like a broken dishwasher and so forth. Management has always been very responsive and easy to work with. Met a lot of very nice people at the complex. Of course, Cheval management is experienced and professional. In contrast, many new complexes are opening up all over Houston and the downside is that these new places always suffer from inexperience. Great location too.
Good customer service. Very helpful in answering my questions through the application process.
Very friendly staff (Nicole) and excellent community with great amenities.
To all people wary of moving here based on the reviews, I think its important to understand that the only people who write reviews are angry people. For all of the negativity, there are dozens and dozens of satisfied residents, myself being one. Any issue Ive ever had has been dealt with quickly, and Ive always felt welcomed and taken care of here. The staff is kind and the amenities are wonderful.
Oh, its nice. I dont know who does our trash but never picks up the garbage bags
Great amenities, great spot, great location. highly recommend.
I have been very pleased with the changes Baron Properties is bringing to the community. The new Management is correcting several issues that were there due to a lack of customer service from the previous management, and an example of that is the Manager helping us with a heavy item to our unit, he didnt have to do that but he took the time to and that was really appreciated, the front office has always been helpful and now with a newer, friendlier management behind them, I feel very welcome to come down to the office for any of my needs. Speaking to the new Assistant Manager was also a pleasure, she was very helpful with some questions I had and didnt make me feel like I was a burden, truly awesome. The service team has always been very responsive to us. All in all the amenities are great, basketball, pool, hot tub, gym, tennis court, and they even have a putting green that I havent had a chance to try out yet. Close to Downtown, The Galleria and The Heights, it is really close to some amazing restaurants, bars and night life.
Great location but there is a reason its cheaper than other similar complexes. Its an older unit that has things failing or breaking consistently. Gym is small and outdated, pool is also very small for the size of this complex. Tennis court lights dont work so playing in the fall with early nightfall is impossible. Thin walls so be prepared to hear everything above, below, and next to you. Main gate is broken on a weekly basis. On the plus side there havent been any bugs. Added stars due to the quick response of management. Thank you.
I love living here! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Joey in the front office is the best!
Great amenities and the staff is very professional and friendly. The place has an amazing layout.
Absolutely amazing management from the first till the last day.Luxurious, QUIET, safe and clean.Very helpful and kind staff.I lived there more then a year. One of the best apartments in Houston.5*!I will miss this place!!!Special thanks to Nicole! KAMIL
I want to say that I have never left an online review in my life but this place definitely warrants one. If you like missing packages, rude management, and broken everything this is the place for you! I would give negative stars if I could. Rent is advertised at $1,200 for my unit yet I pay more than $1,400 every month. Have requested for maintenance several times yet nothing is fixed. Any positive comment left here is because they offer a discount for leaving one. Dont waste your money, you can easily find nicer appt for similar price elsewhere. All negative comments are true.
We have loved it! My wife and I moved in as newlyweds at the beginning of the year and I was a great hideaway for our first year of marriage. We had a one bedroom - one bath. Great pricing. Anytime we had to do a maintence request someone came the day of it was submitted. My favorite part was the pool and the view. We faced the large party pool (which was a bit noisy in the summer) and the Houston SkyLine. If my wife and I didnt have to move for work we would have renewed!
Im so grateful for the reviews. I thought Id want this place but after reading reviews... no way! I see someone is responding to reviews and doesnt take ownership to their issues. Instead they attempt to make it seems as u misunderstood. Tons of reviews about staff lying about available units, as if they trick u into accepting the property. Then we have the rude staff and stealing ur deposit then reporting one to collections. I also think some of the more positive reviews are doctored or fake.Im glad people spoke up and saved my money for a complex that will appreciate me as a resident but definitely not here.
I love everything about Cheval. They have more amenities than other complexes I toured, great price for the units and very helpful staff!
This apartment complex simply does not care about the maintenance of amenities.-The pool has been closed since early September due to what I am told, the drains need to be replaced. I can recount 2-3 other times over the summer where the pool was closed for about a week each instance.-Hot tub jets do not work, and never have, since I moved in about a year ago.-The cushioned chairs by the pool are weathered and disgusting. No one ever uses them because theyre old, stained, and hot to sit on.-Shuffle board table has no sand, is dry and scratched. Simply not playable.-Weight room TVs do not have any channels available. This complex requires all residents to pay $39 for a basic cable package whether they want to or not. One would think Cheval would supply this same basic package to the weight room and recreation room - a major disappointment.-Half of the grills by the pool simply do not work, or have burners that dont ignite.-Coffee and amenity room is only open during office hours. All of these issues can easily be addressed. A simple suggestion box to allow residents to voice their suggestions could have saved a poor review. Overall, the office staff have been pleasant to work with and understand these complaints. At first glance, this place seems very nice. Once you live here and experience these issues, youll realize how much management just cares about getting you to sign a lease without concern of the residents experience.
Nicole was great!! Beautiful property and great size living space!
I love living here! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Joey in the front office is the best!
I have lived in Cheval for over 4 years now, and we are signing yet another lease. Overall, the apartment complex is great, with fabulous amenities and an ideal location! The office staff has been extremely helpful with any issues that have occurred, and have mentioned that there are some additional renovations coming in the next year to make the complex even nicer. David and Darienne have been unbelievably great in helping us transfer over to our new place! Until we can buy a house, we will definitely stay here.
Rosie was very nice showed and explained this beautiful property my main concern was the security and she explained an officer staying on the property that drives around & another security team they work with overall wonderful tour !
Very luxurious apartment nice view and very nice amenities great parking close to downtown however lousy maintenance men very lazy about 8 that walk around all day long on there phones theres always dog fecies and urine on every floor unsanitary conditions other than that its a lovely place to live in
Ive lived here for about four months going on five and I love this apartment! It is close to everything (less than ten minutes from breweries, memorial park, buffalo bayou, ten minutes to downtown, etc). Its a big complex but the garage is in the center of the building and very nice to have. There are so many amenities (two pools, volleyball court, half basketball court, tennis court, two dog parks) and is a resort style apartment. The pools make me feel so relaxed during a nice weekend weather. They enforce you to wear a bracelet and give you two additional for guests, but seem pretty laid back. Havent been checked yet even though I took them with me several times. There are plenty of grills and the neighbors are courteous.Since Ive moved in, the staff seem to have changed but not the main manager (Keely - who is very helpful and nice). Maintenance is very quick. I put in a request on Saturday and it was completed by Monday. They have resident events (monthly brunch, etc) and work out classes (though they seem to advertise but never happens).Only thing that annoys me is the packages. They are either really slow at notifying (also sometimes forgets to turn off notifying you so you will get emails over and over even though you picked up the package) or good at getting packages lost for a while and then finding it way later. Ive given up on having things to be shipped to my apartment and just have it go to my work. Another con is that the people who have dogs DO NOT pick up after their dogs. The office has only emailed people to pick up after their dogs but nothing else.Overall, I give Cheval 4 stars. I recommend to anyone who is interested in living here.
