They are very affordable. I got an inspection and education at the same time. Josh was great. Very thorough in educating me how to properly use my fireplace along with my inspection. Purchased a chimney cap, because mine rusted out and was leaking water into my chimney (Got to see that for myself with a video camera live! 😁), which was much cheaper than I thought it would be. Also got them to clean my dryer vent. Joe and his assistant were my cleaners for that job, and they were very good at doing the job. Everyone was nice and respectful, masked up, and informative. I highly recommend them. Update: Just got my fireplace cleaned and refurbished and a new chimney cap. It looks great! Wish I took before pictures. They were rusty, dusty, and I covered the fireplace with a huge mirror because it was embarrassing. Not. No. Mo!🤣

After a cold Texas winter, I called Masters Services to schedule a chimney inspection. Scheduling was simple and easy. They sent a technician named Josh over. He showed up earlier than expected, but luckily I was home at the time. Interacting with Josh was great. He gave some good honest tips. I felt like he was there to do us right rather than trying to overcharge us. In the end, they gave us a detailed report with pictures for us to keep. The 5 stars is because I would use their service again.

We paid $2400 six months ago to have our home sealed and serviced due to roof rats. They sealed and set traps but never caught anything. The first service was February and the last in April. I asked them how we know they’re really gone and have not just left because it was warm months. They assured me there was a warranty on their work but that it was all sealed. Well, come October, I went in the attic last week and found new droppings. I called the company, and to their credit they came out. They said that it was not covered since it was mice droppings and they don’t service for that. I’ve since called and spoken with six other companies. I have been told that it is most likely roof rats since mice are terrestrial. Additionally, I have been quoted by all of them for sealing, trapping, removing, and cleaning services, the highest being $675 for the exact same service that was done by Master Services For $2400 with the exception that they would warranty for rats, mice, squirrels, raccoons, etc. because they would thoroughly seal every entry point. At this point I feel extremely ripped off. I would highly recommend calling around for someone else.

I recommend Masters Services. Fireplace hadn’t worked in years.....I googled to determine the best place to call in Houston. Great first visit by Sam to assess the problem. When parts came in, Sam and Cody came to fix - they were both VERY professional, competent, and personable. Also good to see that they were both wearing masks and gloves in this trying time. Also - office staff ( esp. Gina), very helpful. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend. And fireplace is working!

Great service on estimating. Most people want to take a couple of photos and throw a number out because if they missed something, they can bring it up after the quote. This estimator took the time to explain what each step of the repairs would be and the cost on the steps on his tablet. Got on the roof and made sure that all areas were inspected and detailed for the quote. Made sure that when I got the quote it would very clear to me. Wish all customer service was as good as this experience.

This company is totally awesome. The estimator was wonderful and thorough and explained everything to me. The workers were just as awesome, totally covered up my floor and furniture and worked efficiently and quickly. They did an amazing job on my fireplace. It looks brand new!!! Not what I expected given the strong positive reviews.Work that was done, complete rebuild of chimney shell due to hurricane and animal damage.They had to rebuild the frame and shell completely.The pros:They were always professional and polite. The price was good., even with the difficulties. And, when we had issues with the work they came back and corrected it with out complaint to us. I was very pleased with the structural work they did to rebuild the chimney and feel that it will last many years to come.The cons:I am less then thrilled with their work on the shell of the chimney. While they did come back and make those repairs (parts of the wood were not straight) they didnt paint it/repaint it well and I will have to repaint it once the other work crews are done in the back yard.They were messy and left their gloves, paint and drop cloth on our property. Nails and screws are everywhere, and we are constantly having to watch our steps and our dogs to insure there are no injuries.While I appreciate the work they did, I wouldnt hire them again.

These guys were awesome! First of all, Brian really knew his stuff. Made me feel very comfortable with the work they were proposing because I had to depend on them to tell me what was wrong. I had another company try to use scare tactics and tried to convince me to spend triple what I ultimately spent. So, not only was the work done very well, I did not spend money on stuff that I did not need. Super happy and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Chad and Jason were on time & extremely knowledgeable with their consultation! This was our 3rd bid for extensive work needed to be done on our chimney/fireplace including rebuilding the box, interior work, all the way up to a new cap. There were items the other companies were trying to sell us that Masters Services said we didnt even need- their bid came in significantly lower than their competitors! Blas & Damian were here about 7 hours over the course of 2 days and were excellent! Careful with the areas they were working in, did a great job, and picked up after themselves when they left. Overall very pleased & highly recommend!

Master Services came out in early November to assess our gas fireplace and make sure it was in correct working order before we used it this year. They were fast, efficient, friendly, and suggested changes that would keep our fireplace working correctly and avoid costly repairs later. They came back the next day, right on time, and installed a reflector shield. It looks awesome, and our fireplace works great! Will definitely recommend Master Services, and use them again!

Overall a very good experience from first phone call to completion of services. Malachi arrived for the original inspection; very professional nice and thorough. The estimate was emailed almost immediately with info discussed and several photos. MS was very professional during their visit and honest. They let me know they did not see evidence of rodents but they still provided me with the quote to seal off in case. Appointment was easily set and their customer service team responded promptly to any question.

Master Services was the second company I had worked with to remedy my problem. I was pleasantly surprised when they returned phone calls and arrived on time; that hadnt happened with the previous company. The estimate was affordable, descriptive, and the technician took time to explain everything. Once I decided to have the work completed, the technician returned to my home, on time, and completed everything. He was professional and knowledgeable. Brian the owner of the company came with one of his employees. Colton. They were on time for the appointment, actually a bit earlier which worked for me. They were respectful and very nice. They had the fireplace fixed and working in no time. I asked them to help with cleaning the glass. They were awesome about this and within 30 minutes had the glass cleaned, the remote working and my fireplace up and running.I would definitely recommend Masters Service again!!!

They cant work in the rain. They wont inspect the chimney stack in the attic. The parts arent available. They still want to be paid in full. When the parts are available, they are not. The job started over a month ago. Im always the last job on the list and they just dont have the time to finish it. Ive had enough and will find someone else.

Master Services came and installed a rain guard over our Chimney. We were having problems with rain leaking into our fire pit even with the slightest rain. The guard they installed fixed our problem and also looked very clean and nice. They were very reasonably priced and presented great customer service. I would highly recommend this company.

Repeat customer for over 6 years. Mario knowns hus stuff. I am unhappy with his service. I had my 1998 Chevrolet Silverado transmission serviced and overhauled in Nov 2018, they warranty is only for 6 months or 6,000 miles. I understand my warranty was expired but sis not want look at my vehicle to troubleshoot why my reverse is slow to engage. I understood there could be a charge but I should had been valued as a long term customer. Very disappointed.

All are problems we had no idea existed until Jason clued us in. Then, Jason respectfully noticed our gas logs were rather old. (Yes, it is true. Theyre prehistoric!) He suggested we might consider investing in newer ones, which we plan to purchase in the not too-distant future when the money tree starts blooming again. This did not feel like a pressured sales pitch, just some honest, helpful communication from a good guy. This company is really a shame. Last year they came to check my fireplace because the spark would not stay on and my fireplace could not start. They gave me an estimate of about $700 because they told me the following parts were needed: a direct vent valve ($345), a direct vent pilot ($125) plus labor $150.... well all my fireplace needed was to clean the ignitor with a little brush (it took me about 30 seconds) to remove the dust . The fireplace is working great. No parts were needed. SHAME on them

We contracted Master Services to build a custom chimney cover as well as repair the chimney mortar cap. They scheduled the work, arrived on time, and delivered the product/service in a timely manner. I would use them again if I had to do the same on another property.

The inspector, the installer and the owner that contacted me did a great job. We like the new locally manufactured chimney cap (not the stuff other firms order from China and assemble at your house without precise measurements) that was installed on one of the many of our rental properties. Our tenant said no one else on the street had such a nice cap on their chimney. However, I felt like the ladies working at the office, answering the phone and scheduling the work were an unnecessary overhead that did not add value, but dragged the firm and the bottom line down. None of them were able to explain to me why our chimney differed from others, why certain chimney caps represented on the firms website were not an option for us, and educate me of the differences in their design and functionality. Confused, I almost wanted to take the project elsewhere, but the owner contacted me and quickly was able to educate me on the choices that would work for my chimney and the reasons for them. Overall, I am very happy with the work done! Loved the website with all the choices of chimney caps, pictures, materials, colors and pricing options. That was very helpful to see what we were getting. Thank you!

I hired Masters Services to remove a Bat problem I was having. They gave a quick and reasonable quote and returned to do the job as quoted. They were very professional and left the premises as they found it and got rid of the Bat problem.

All cracks and broken mortar in the firebrick was patched. The outside of the house was sealed to prevent entry to rodents. Rats in the attic were killed. The work was all done as scheduled and was well done.

It is the time of the season to light-up the fireplace - right? Well my fire would not light-up, so I called Masters Services. The technician who was assigned to service my fireplace was Adam. It took Adam longer to find a comfortable sitting position to take care of the problem, than to fix if. Adam quickly found the electrical switch and shorted it out with a paper-clip, he then lite the pilot and asked me to fire-it-up. I had fire in my fireplace!! I am set for the Holidays and very grateful for Adam. Adam enjoys his craft and is very efficient. I know who to call next time I have any problems.
