Jose did an amazing job repairing and powder coating my rim -- you cant even tell that it was ever damaged! Not only was the work excellent, he was able to get me in the day after I called AND finished my rim by that same afternoon. WOW. We were so impressed by his work, that we took in another set rims (3-piece polished aluminum wheels) for him to repair and polish.Jose did an even more amazing job on our 3-piece rims which were badly damaged years ago when the car was shipped from CA. Its incredible -- they look brand new!!!

After getting front tires replaced, the tech noticed a slight bend on the inside of the wheel. Called J & D and told me to bring the car up there. I’m and out in about an hour (small repair) and back on the road with no more vibrations at 80+ mph. The price was also very reasonable. Hands down the place to go for wheel repair.

See the pictures.I bought a used Mazda 6 a couple of weeks ago, and the previous owner had left some serious curb rash on the right front and rear wheels. I called José and he asked me for pictures, which I texted him. He said they were serious, but he could do them, no problem. I had sent to other people who were highly recommended, but their quotes were anywhere from 150%-300% of what José asked for, which made J&D sound almost too good to be true. But it wasn’t!It took them a bit longer than they estimated—I got there at 12:30 and they said they’d be done by 5, but I was there until just after 7. I offered to go home and come back the next day, but José said that he wanted to finish the job like he said. He sent his employees home and finished the wheels himself! And man, the finished product was beautiful. They had to add metal to both wheels, but they look brand new, and the color matching with the other two wheels is excellent.José is great, both friendly and professional, and he and his employees do a fantastic job. If I need wheels done again I’m definitely coming back (although I’ll leave the wheels next time rather than waiting!), and I’ll be recommending him to everyone I know. Thanks guys!

In a word, DAMN! I usually dont write reviews because after all, its a business so you are suppose to be good at what you do. But every once in a while, you come across an experience that exceeds your expectation and this was it. The wifey lost a battle with a curb and messed up one of the new rims on the car. I was concerned about color match(carbon graphite color) as well as being able to tell there was a repair done. JD said if he couldnt do it, he would tell me. So I let him do it and I was blown away. The work was great and the price was right. He has got a new customer for life.

Fantastic people and great service, what was thought to be a micro crack turned out to be a 4in crack, they went above and beyond to get the job done without raising the qoute, had to give them extra for their outstanding service and going beyond what they needed to do to get it out the door. The owner, Mr. JD, was very nice and upfront . I went in because my wheel was severely damaged, and was causing my tire to leak air. He made a suggestion on what would fit best for my situation but reassured he would fix the issue. After a couple of days I returned and my wheel looked good as new. He stated that my wheel was steel and was the first time he and crew worked on anything like it.. His usual work is aluminum wheel, but the work he did was superb!!!

I reached out to Jose last second and he was able to accommodate me 👍🏼 if I ever have any similar problems Ill surely be returning

These guys are no joke. Professional great worksmanship without the drama. They welded a hole in my motorcycle frame and a few other parts good as new. I wish I had found them years before. If you have a broken aluminum anything before you junk it head here.

Good fellow, The trip from Texas City to J&D Aluminum Shop was worth, I could not find nobody that could weld the a/c tubbing on my car engine swap, and he did a very professional job, with out costing me a fortune.

Well let me just say, I dont usually do reviews but J&D did an excellent job on my previously repaired 22 rim,when I noticed I was loosing air, I thought I had a flat but I went to get it repaired they told me my rim was leaking. Then I found J&D about 3pm,he looked @ my rim & told me he could repair, I thought it would be a day or 2 like I was told by others but he had out by a little after 5pm & he did a wonderful job of repairing someone elses job and with a good price. So Ive been rolling about a month now & no issues. Wonderful service & Im a new customer for life if I need this kind of service again. 2 thumbs up for J&D.

Ran over metallic thing on highway - blew the tire and had a dent in the wheel of Jaguar sedan --- could not mount new tire. Went to J & D in the morning and dropped off the wheel. Wheel was ready by mid-afternoon. Picked it up and got tire mounted at a tire shop. Good and timely service and cost. All good ! Would recommend.

I am usually not the type to write reviews, but J&D Alum Welding exceeded my expectations. I was driving to work and unfortunately ran over a huge brick on the beltway that shattered my car wheel. I took the wheel to several wheel repair shops and they all told me it was beyond repairs, that the only remedy was to get new ones. After three days of searching, i found J&D alum. I tell you he is the real deal guys! He is very honest, hardworking and value customers satisfaction first. Long story short he fixed the wheels that they told me could not be fixed with no issues. I highly recommend.

Had a tire that leaked air rapidly on a 22-inch chrome rim. Google Searched for a wheel repair mechanic and found J & D Welding. Arrived at the shop around 8:15 a.m. on a weekday morning and left my wheel and tire. Discovered that the wheel was bent in 4 places, which is believable, given that another mechanic told me the same thing some time before. By 10:45 a.m. that same morning, J & D called me to tell me that my wheel was fixed. They did an awesome job at an inexpensive price.

Literally just left and I’m really satisfied. I’ve had to repair my rims more than I should. This is the first time I was able to get it done right and affordable. Great experience, quick, and easy. If I ever need any repairs to my wheel I will be back. Done is two hours!

Recently I had two welds crack on my new aluminum trailer. After contacting Jose at J&D he offered to look at it for me on a Saturday. Even though the trailer completely filled up his shop area, he managed to fit it in and complete the two weld repairs. I was rear ended on my motorcycle so the rim was bent. For a great and reasonable price they fixed it and put it on their machine to make sure it was really straight. The repair was so good I couldnt even tell where it was. I had to look at a picture I took of it to find where it was. I took awhile to make the review because I couldnt put it on my bike right away but Ive been riding for 2 and a half weeks so far and I have no issues whatsoever. Definitely recommend anyone who needs a bent rim fixed to this place!

JD (Juan) is awesome. I live downtown and called 5 other places. JD was the only one happy for the work on 10/15/16.What was the job I needed done? Well a different auto shop crashed my work truck into a garage. It did damage to my ladder rack. It had to be straightened and rewelded. JD finished the job on time, did amazing work, and reinforced the aluminum. Better than it was before - 10/10 work, for a very fair price. If I need anything again, this is my first stop.Honest man, quality craftsmanship, fair price. Unbeatable.

I ran over a 6 socket extension which, incredibly, somehow punctured not only our rear tire, but also, right through our aluminum wheel. Several retail tire places told me that it COULD NOT BE REPAIRED, and wanted to sell me a $450 re-conditioned wheel. I took the wheel, with socket extension intact, to J&Ds shop, where owner, Jose, confidently said Absolutely, No Problem. He re-welded the aluminum alloy perfectly, ground and polished it allback down to specs, and I couldnt even tell where the repair had been performed.He is the ultimate craftsman, and you can be confident, that he has an obviously true heart for both quality, and fair pricing...He only charged me $85. What aBLESSING to find him. You will NOT be disappointed, either.

Oh my god the hitch from my trailer broke off my truck! Good thing we were going 5 miles an hour at a motel parking lot here in Livingston no one was injured thanks god. We tried calling all the welders from here to houston and everyone for some reason couldn’t do it J&D was the only one who helped us. Not only that he did an amazing job he also added more reinforcements so it would be much more durable as it was. One of my Alloy Rims had the smallest leak which was causing a very slow leak in my tire and I had to put air every 4 days, not to mention while 6 months pregnant . I went to 4 different rim/tire shops and they all said the rim is no good and to buy a new $400 rim. I called JD and he had me come in right away, found the crack on the inside of my rim and welded it within 2 hours time. My rim is back to normal and no more putting air . Also charged a very fair price and a 90 day warranty. Im very pleased with this place and the manager and his workers. I recommend them if you need that type of service for sure . They really saved me from a lot of anxiety of spending the extra money and the hassle of constantly putting air in my tire.

This is the only place I will go to for wheel repair! I brought 2 high polished aluminum wheels in for road rash repair last week. One was significantly damaged requiring aluminum welding. The wheels look fantastic post repair. The color and finish were matched perfectly. I got estimates from 2 other places besides J & D, one from a nationwide chain. I came here because Jose said they would look like new after the repair. The nationwide chain and the other specifically said the wheels will not look the same. I was also treated courteously. Strong work. Needed a crack on the underside of my vehicle welded following an accident. Saved me hundreds of dollars, because mechanics naturally only know how to replace the whole structure. The honest guys at My Mechanic on Holcombe were the ones who recommended I look for an aluminum welder in lieu of buying a whole new transmission cover. Very satisfied.

Jose is a very helpful and welcoming guy. I did my research before going to his shop. I called over 10+ shops in Houston before finding his shop. The other shops I called were very unprofessional: rude, ignorant, & cocky. They will try to you feel helpless and make profit off of that. I was quoted $150-200 plus tax and additional charges if tires were still on. They even stated no warranty on repair work. Really? Upon arrival I showed Jose the damaged OEM factory BMW wheel he also described how he would repair it. I told Jose I reside on the other side of town. He said no problem it will be done within an hour. With a quick turn around time, firm hand shake, and beautiful welds. I already knew I will be a mutual returning customer. One last thing supporting small locals shops instead of big shops where the employee is working not the owner. The differences is night and day. When they say you get what you pay for this was not the case for me. This review is a vouch for Jose. Thank you and rest assured I will be coming back and referring friends & family to you.

I am rebuilding an old Harley. The engine case was cracked in two places and a piece broke off around the cylinder head openings. I cant tig cast aluminum so I needed someone who could. Found J&D. Jose gave me a great price and the turnaround was quick. They welded the cracks and broken piece, leveled the deck, and smoothed and blended the head opening. Quality work, good guys and great prices.
