I talked with Adam and he was great, I called in the morning and talked to him about my problem and he told me whenever I can bring my car in they will look at it and let me know what I need to do. When we arrived he helped me with everything and was so nice. They were able to fix the problem in 30 minutes. This place has great customer service and it is the best auto shop I have been to, I will be going here with any future problems that come my way.

I took a risk on a new mechanic shop and I WON THE LOTTERY!!!! Time and time again Sparks Smith Nielsen has exceeded my expectations, and my expectations are high! I second the review I saw somewhere about Sparks being great at keeping a car in tough shape on the road for a decent price. Ive been having work done at Sparks for the last year and a half. They help me figure out what I absolutely need to stay safe on the road in my rusty Focus with 250,000 smiles on it. I have some peace of mind that my car is actually safe and so far its been much cheaper than a monthly payment on a new car.

I am so thankful that I was referred to Paul, Adam and their crew at Sparks in Hopkins several years ago. It is the only auto repair shop that I have ever been to that did not take advantage of my lack of car mechanics because I am a woman. They will check out and fix what you ask them to. The guys over at Sparks are by far the best mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with.My most recent cause of visiting was a catastrophic failure of my transmission cooler lines. Had my car towed there at 9pm. Got a call the next morning with a diagnosis and an estimate. I asked if they had a loaner available and was told they might have one later in the day. They called back around 3pm (same day) and asked me how late I would be at work, 830pm. They told me they would deliver the loaner to my place of work within a few hours! If thats not above and beyond service, I dont know what is.Every experience I have had with the guys at Sparks has been very professional, from oil change to radiator replacement. Ive never suspected them of overcharging for the services that they perform. I recommend all my friends to these guys.

Horrible mechanics. Charged $350 for something that didnt fix the issue. Ended up being something else that cost $50 in the end. Spent another $1700 for back end; tires wore out after less than year. They didnt properly fix/align tires. Daughter had dashboard replaced cause gauges werent working; new one speedometer bounces around.

Ive been here twice now. I have nothing but good things to say. The guys are Sparks are friendly, honest, and hardworking. Theyve never tried to upsell me; Theyve never pushed me to fix things that dont need fixing; and theyve never overcharged me. These are three things that other big name shops around the Twin Cities are notorious for (in my experience). It is such a breath of fresh air to work with people who are not trying to rip me off. I would recommend Sparks to anyone and everyone.

Called last Monday and set an appointment for this past Monday for an oil change. Came in and they couldnt do it because they were short staffed that day. I then set an appointment for today and then they did get it in, they didnt even remember the appointment. Leads me to believe that they arent very organized but ill take my car here again and update the review if my views change.

Since I moved away from Hopkins, I havent been to see Paul and his team for ages, but after hearing a terrible noise in my engine and being in the neighborhood, I knew that they were the only place that could figure out what was going on. The team found a metal screw rolling around in my serpentine belt-thankfully no damage done. Adam only charged me for labor and nothing else, and also let me know about other transmission problems to look out for in the future. They also only charged me for labor! These guys are great, and have always taken care of my car. Im definitely going to make the drive out to Hopkins if I need service again on the Nissan. Honest and hard working team that wont rip you off! Thanks again!

The guys here could of gotten me for a ton of money but they didnt. I had chevy look at my truck and the said I had a bad lifter and it was $7000 to fix but sparks noticed that there was more wrong and after talking we decided to put a new engine and for a just over $5000. They have a customer for life

I have been comming here for 10 years.. I have had alot of work done on my Saturn, Ford Explorer and Mazda. Water pumps, timing belts, tires etc. These guys are quality, honest and flexible. On a tight budget, they are willing to let you put off an item or two.

I started taking my car here 3 years ago because I lived in the neighborhood and thought I would try them out. They have done such a great job at a fair price that after I moved 30 min away I still make the drive just so that I can have them work on my car. My car is at an age where it has had lots of problems that are difficult to diagnose, but these guys have always been able to figure out. Even better, they are honest and fair. For instance, they put a part on my car to try to fix a problem, but it didnt end up solving the problem. Rather than charging me for the part, they took it off and only ended up charging me for the part that actually fixed the issue.You wont regret giving these guys your business.

From the first time I stepped into the place, they treated me like I had been going there my whole life.

I brought my truck in after overheating to get it checked for leaks or hoses and needed to be replaced. They kept my truck overnight, and then didnt call me in the morning. I had to call them in order for them to tell me nothing was wrong. A few days later, my truck overheated on the interstate in the middle of nowhere. Turns out, I needed a new water pump.
