I had a priority mail delivery issue and one particular employee ( Natalie Powell) really came through for me and fixed the issue. Much thanks to her and all the very nice and cordial front counter clerks that do their best to be the best. Keep it up. Nicholas.

Terrible! This is the second time one of their mail carries has scanned that they put a package in my mailbox and they really didn’t, as if people don’t track their orders to see when it will be delivered. The manager wasn’t much help he claimed the package would be returned but here it is 3 days later no package. Do better! I guess I’ll start standing outside meeting the mail carrier at my mailbox to ensure all mail is being delivered.

Extremely poor customer service. “Assistant”postmaster rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak with the postmaster in reference to my issue and was told “she’s out taking a breather, don’t know when she will be back “.

You want to receive your mail on time or even at all? Yeah use another carrier other than USPS. I have NEVER had an issue either mail until moving to Hopewell. Their carriers will decide if they even deliver or stop by your house. Informed delivery has shown me multiple times that Im supossed to receive mail and certain day and I wont receive it until 3 to 4 days later. Ive placed letter and important documents in my mail box with the flag up to be mailed out and sometimes 2 to three days will go by before the carrier even takes them. This is unacceptable. I get it, you can mail a letter across the country for what, 52 cents, but good lord, charge more if it means Ill actually receive my mail on time.

Every time that I come to this post office one of the workers is rude to me. Today specifically a worker told me that I should have my package prepared before I come to the post office. I did not have a package at home so I had to purchase one at the post office. For whatever reason, maybe the pandemic, they are no longer supplying pens at the tables. The line was long so when I got up to the counter I asked to borrow a pen. I was asked to move aside to address my package so that the line could proceed- not a big deal. BUT when I returned the pen the worker insisted that I threw it at her and then told me that it is not the postal services job to furnish pens and that I should have had my package ready to go in the first place! Really?! What kind of a world do we live in that we need to cause such a fuss over a pen?! She told me that I was rude and irresponsible. I tried to explain myself but she had no patience at all. She told me the best thing for me to do would be not to say anything else to her. A gentleman was standing nearby who appeared to be the manager, and he said nothing to address his employee being so unprofessional or deescalatethe situation.Perhaps she was at the end of her shift and had a tough day. In any case, I could have excused it had this been the first time I was treated with disrespect. I will be doig my mailing somewhere else. It is not worth fussing about pens at the post office.Editing to add that this in no way encompasses ALL the postal workers at this location. Our mail carrier is fantastic.

The service here is wonderful. The handicap parking area is to the left of the building from the parking lot. If you go in via the street entrance, there is an amazing WPA mural.

Easy parking, customer service is always great. I go out of my way to use this location .. the Chester post office is behind a new Chick fil A and you know that causes major headaches with traffic.

Had an issue to deal with about a letter that was taped close with a pin missing from the envelope. Extra postage had been paid with multiple stamps on the envelope and was not satisfied with the answer received or loss.

I have lived In Hopewell now over 3 yrs . The first 2 years mail service was acceptable but now they are are over the place about when you get your mail, maybe 12 noon today 6 pm tomorrow, next day maybe 3 . I get images of in my mail that supposed to come today but sometimes don’t get till the following day . Thinking different ppl on this route why but nevertheless poor service never less .

2 people need to get a another jobI changed my review to four stars because everyone else is awesome at this location. If I could call and complain to a real person I would but since the local phone number goes to a national switchboard that has a hold time of at least 20 minutes I’ll have to post here. If you have a job that deals with customers, you need to check your bad mood at the door. There is an Indian lady and a white guy with glasses who work here that really need to find new jobs since they hate working here so much. If the postal service cared, they would let their these two employees know their attitudes with customers mattered. But since they don’t I guess this poor customer service will continue. No one is being forced to work for the post office so get a new job or better attitude like the other people who work there. Sorry I had to use gender and race descriptions but I don’t know these two employees’ names. To everyone else who works here- thank you for your great customer service!

Sent Xmas card to Hopewell 2 weeks ago and the USPS there which I will have investigated .....they/so-called letter carriers or package stealers which they are...stole the Xmas card with 1 gift card wrapped inside. USPS there I will have checked over and investigated. Worst Post Office I have ever seen in my 61 year life. 1 star rating...which is too generous for this horrid little so-called Post Office.

Is it really that hard to deliver a package that just says N instead of NORTH? Both packages got cancelled just because they couldnt find my address. Amazon recommended I change North to N so the address was shorter. Ive gotten packages damaged and late before.

Always courteous when I go in and they get me exactly what I need to make my visit perfect.I have never been able to find fault with their performance at this branch.I prefer to go to this location as opposed to the Chester branch.The on-street parking makes it far easier to drop off mail and be able to drive away again than pulling into the parking lot at Chester and then having to wait for the traffic to open to get across Rt 10.Just a better all around experience.

I have had gift cards and packages stolen...the packages were marked as deliverd but never made their way to my po.box..filing a complaint is a waste of time because they do nonthing...its sad when the postal workers are common theives... cameras need to be put up everywhere in the front & back of the post office

Im not giving the local post office 1 star, Im giving USPS 1 star and thats too many stars. I was visiting my mom in another state and sent myself a box from where I was. My box showed up a week later, not a few days but a whole $70.00 and a week later. When I would go on the website to check the status of my package the website would never update. My package was always on its was to the next destination. Currently I have a package that needs to be redelivered, I went on the website to choose a date and time I want the package redelivered once I typed in my personal information the website stated (available). It wouldnt let me select the date and time I wanted my package redelivered. USPS sucks! I dont care if I have to pay extra or go out of my way for my packages, Ill stick with FedEx or UPS. This is ridiculous! And USPS wants to go up on their prices...might as well pay for something that is tracked correctly, gives a good status of packages and that is guaranteed.

I have lived in Hopewell for a little over a year, visited this post office about 5 times, and received good service each time. But yesterday was more than good, it was great. All because of a woman named Farrukh. I went in to mail apples I picked to my Grandma and Aunt. I was so confused as to the best way to mail them. I put them in a padded envelope, and Farrukh, so nice and friendly, helped me with the rest. I sent it Priority for a great price. Thank you ladies, and Farrukh for your public service everyday! I know it’s not easy at times but you guys do it beautifully and I appreciate it!

Dropped 8 packages in blue box on the 17th 5 were accepted on 17th one was accepted on 19th and one on 20th one is still saying awaiting package. They all should of been accepted on the 17th as they were all dropped before last pickup.

Been here for almost 10 years and the problems have never stopped. You order envelopes and items for shipment and always get the wrong ones. Missing mail, mail that says it has been delivered and ends up in the wrong house. I have to stalk my neighbors to make sure I get my items.There has been several packages left in my box because they are too lazy to scan each one of them. Most times the one lady who does the routes it’s nice and on time. Every other day when someone else does the route it’s a guess. Seen them come by 9am, 1pm, 5 or even 6. No consistency at all! I was told that in order for them to pick packages I had to request pick up online. Did that and even still my boxes were left outside and the driver had to come back to pick up once I called the office and reported.I avoid going to the local post office beside of the lack of friendliness of the staff. For the amount of money they get paid, the least they could do it’s great you or act like they like their Job.

My mail has been constantly RETURNED TO SENDER and I have lived at my address closely to a year, some mail gets delivered and 90 percent returned. ..because of this I have been having issues with my SSI benefits, I am totally disgusted and this has cause hardships to me emotionally and financially!

Its a shame you cant give these people ZERO STARS. If they have to get out of their truck to deliver, theyll just write that you were not home and make you go pick it up. But they close at noon on Fridays so you are screwed. By and large the USPS does a great job, but this location should be shut down. I will be filing a complaint with Amazon and telling them never to ship via USPS to me ever again.And they wonder why they get their butts kicked by for profit private industry?

The post office as a whole is great. The branch that I receive mail from does a great job at delivering my mail, however when it comes to parcels it drops the ball. In particular the Flat Rate boxes. The most common two day priority mail. Ive since taken my business to UPS and FEDEX though I pay more, the people I send packages to receive them in a timely manner. Too often do packages not get delivered when they say they would. Thanks

Ive never had a problem with any post office until ive had to deal with this one. Every single time I order something there is a problem with the driver getting out of the truck and walking up to the door to deliver the mail. Just puts a sorry we missed you and I have to wait to pick up my item and drive down to the post office to pick it up. Its happened 6 times and my wife was home with our kids on all occasions.

My mail has stopped being delivered to me and being returned to the sender stamped No such address. Unable to forward. If the mail carrier would get off her phone and do her job maybe this wouldnt happen.

They claim that they could not deliver my package because know one was home to sign. that is a lie my son and father was home looking out the window they never came and i paid for 2 day delivery. it time for a new post master and crew. or law suited after all if we tamper with the mail they would lock us up.

I ordered stamps on October 2nd. I still dont have them. The mail man delievered them to an incorrect address which is understandable and I get that everyone makes mistakes. What im mad about is that I have called since October 10th and everyone says on ill look into it and call you back and nobody ever has called back. I got the name of one employee who I will not mention and every time I call she is on lunch. Like 930 am she was at lunch 300pm she was at lunch.. Someone else said they would look and call back and they NEVER DID!!! I am in the customer service business and that would never fly.. Even if there isnt anything the post office could do to correct this issue they still could have pointed me in the correct direction or at least say hey I cant help you. After all it wasnt the main uspss issue it was the mailman from this location who took it to the wrong address... I will not be going to this post office anymore. This is just completely ridiculous!

The Service I receive from the Hopewell USPS can be described in two words... IT SUX!!! I complained about not receiving my packages, or receiving padded envelopes ripped open & emptied of their contents. The Supervisor said they would check my mail for a few weeks. For those few weeks, all was well. Now that my mail isnt being checked, 2 more packages have disappeared into thin air. Do not blame this on the neighborhood kids. I was watching when my mail was delivered. There are some dishonest, thieving mail carriers out there and one of them is stealing my packages. Hello... There is a tracking number on the package. NO STARS... WONT LET YOU POST IF YOU DONT GIVE A STAR!!!

Total waste of time!!! Even when calling the wait time is absurd! How to talk to a recording for an hour just to be placed on hold another 30 minutes! I always drive to Prince George or Petersburg for service. This location is an absolute joke!
