I recently visited Quik Pawn in Hoover a few days ago, not what I was expecting when visiting a pawnshop. Lets just say WOW! I couldnt believe how friendly everyone was there. I walked in and immediately was welcomed. I feel like they went out of there way to make sure I was taking care of. The manager Stacy was an absolute pleasure, always smiling, joking around with everyone. Everyone loves her and you can tell. The gentlemen I meet I think his name was Alex was extremely helpful as well. He taught me so much about the computer that I bought. I will never do business anywhere else! This is my new favorite shop- I would recommend this shop to everyone- GO NOW, SERIOUSLY!

The staff at this location are amazing and treat customers with respect. I can not say enough about how awesome they really are

I have been meaning to send my review now for weeks. My husband I have just moved to a new house and during the move I came across several items to sell. I’ve been into this store several times now, and each and every time, the staff has been absolutely terrific! I had tried several pawn shops prior to going there for the first time....and every time I left the other stores, I left with a terrible feeling and honestly pissed by the rudeness and lack of emotion from these other guys. They could care less about...well...anything.Needless to say, the first time I walked into the Quik Pawn Shop in Hoover, it was truly a breath of fresh air. EVERY single member of this staff has been so friendly, courteous and HONEST!I strongly recommend anybody that needs to buy or sell items, to please go to this store. I work in customer service and take a lot of pride in that. These guys are by far the people to go to, they really seem to work hard and deserve our business. Please don’t waste your time anywhere else, those other guys could care less what you do with the items that you’ve worked so hard for.I had to make sure I wrote this review... I just had to make sure others know about this place. I’ve lived less than 2-3 miles from here for about 5yrs and had no idea until recently, that the best pawn shop was sitting right in my neighborhood ♥️

Spoke with Derrick about a mower via Facebook that was posted. After a conversation to purchase the item next day, he held it as promised. Easy to do and look forward to more business with this location.

I took my shotgun in to pawn. The guy couldnt figure out how to rack the slide. Had to do it for him.Then the woman said she looked my gun up and it was $189 retail so she could only offer me $60. I tried to explain that I bought it brand new, for full retail price, at $480, but that didnt change anything.I get home and look at my pawn ticket and the reason it was retailed at $189 was because she had looked up a single shot shotgun. That isnt what I pawned!! Really?? It was a 6 shot pump action shotgun.They have zero idea what theyre doing.

Geat location. Its so much to choose from. Zarinah recommended me to come and talked so highly about the staff so I had to come. I found some items and even sold some as well. Good staff as well.

Alex was wonderful upselling for the drawing. Stacy greeted me with a smile coming in the door and made me want to do business with them!!! I love this store!!

My complaint starts back with me buying a pressure washer from Quik Pawn Hoover location in June. I was told it was like new and in perfect working condition however, when I got home the only way you could get it to start and run was to spray starter fluid in it. I drove over 140 miles (round trip) to bring it back. Ericka promptly refunded my money and told me gas fees are non-refundable in a joking manor. However on my trip to Quik pawn on 6/30/16 the same location, I saw the same pressure washer back on the floor in the same non-working condition for the same price I paid for it with, no indication it was a non-working unit. The reason for my visit was to find a set of speaker stands. I was referred to this store via the Pelham store. Lamar went and got the stands from the back and he told me one price while Erika told me a higher price. Lamar recommended I call Tom music so I left. I called and he had a set for $60 when I returned to the store Lamar had a non-chalet attitude and said look who the wind blew back in. I offered him $60 and told him what the price was at Toms music, and he said oh you should have bought them there. I am angry that I was tricked into buying one of their pieces of returned crap and had to drive over 70 miles to return it. Im even sorrier that in order for them to earn a living they have to defraud the public by re-selling broken items. Im the sorriest about Lamars recommendation about where I should spend my money as I dont remember ever seeing him while I was earning it. I thought the purpose of a business was to make money and not send it to other business. I read on a Google review of this pawn shop the terrible customer service and similar cases where broken / defective products were sold. Ive been told to seek out the positive things rather than the negative so, I will take Lamars recommendation and spend my money elsewhere. I will also do a review letting everyone know my experience and not to support the crooks at the Hover location, if at all any of the Quik pawn shops period!

The new manager has issues dealing with the public. She spoke to me as if I was not smart enough to understand what she was saying. I have never had issues with that store nor the staff until yesterday. The item I wanted is listed for $130, however, new and more improved products from box cutter retail stores sell for between $70-80. I told the manager what I saw and she said that the lowest she could go was $55 because of eBay. eBay...So basically eBay runs the pawn business?I told her what I found on the retail store app and she said no, look on here, I cant sell this for less than what I have invested in it. Shes been their less than a few days and she is being over protective of the merchandise. She needs to go.

This place is a joke. If you have an $80 TV and you only need $10 theyll probably do business with you. I brought in a Rolex with papers, original box, tags, etc. and they told me they need a receipt from when I purchased it? Thats the only way you know how to authenticate a Rolex WITH papers...is by looking at a receipt?

Unbelievable prices. I wanted almost everything I looked at. I will be back very soon!

When you are trying to sell an item there is no negotiation! Plus the people are not very nice. I had a brand new Xbox one still in box (sealed) and I was told they would give me $60.......that is crap! I didnt need the console and I didnt want to take the time to sell it. I will never recommend them.
