Been trying to get a transmission flush for weeks, as Express Oil advertises on their website. First two locations (Gadsden & Birmingham) do not even have the machine. The third site I call does, so I make an appointment for 1PM the next day. I arrive ten minutes early and they tell me it will be three hours BEFORE they can start. Whats the use of an appointment? I ask Jeremy what good an appointment is and he replies, Unfortunately I have no control over that.

From the first gentleman to greet me and assist with my oil change, to my interaction with a few employees before my check out process after my tire rotate and balance. I was very pleased with their customer service and personal touch!

I have been using this Express Oil Change specifically for 2 years and they are very convenient and helpful. But, I recently had issues with my brakes. They did a brake check and they told me all 4 of my break pads were leaking (no signs of that) and quoted me $2,200 for fixing it. Then, I went to another shop and they told me it was just a warped rotor which was an under $150 fix. They totally tried to take advantage of me. I will NOT be going back there again, even for an oil change.

They are always friendly and even like to joke with my kids. When it was time to buy tires they even offered me zero percent financing! We love going to this store!

Everyone I dealt at this location was super-polite and friendly. The technician who repaired the previous balance job done on my tires (very poorly done at a different tire shop- not Express) did a great job, and my explorer is now a pleasure to drive again! So thankful for their help and expertise.

Very unprofessional and a rip off. They tried to sell me a compressor which I didn’t need. Took my car to another shop and all I needed was Freon. I am still very upset. I have been using Express oil change for a very long time. Basically charged me for nothing. The manager wasn’t friendly at all and showed no remorse.I will never patronize this business again.

This Saturday I got a bolt stuck in my tire on the way to a soccer game, I was lucky to make it back to my side of town, but on my last turn the bolt came out and my tire went immediately flat. I was able to pull off safely to be able to change it. When I began to do so, I realized that my tire iron was too small. I was stuck! I then thought that Express Oil Change was just a short bit away. My parents were able to get their car and drive us there. Michael, the store manager, came to my aid immediately. He grabbed the right equipment and asked where the car was, he came with us and changed my tire and showed me what tools I needed to get since the factory ones weren’t sufficient. He was done quickly, and I thanked him profusely. He was my hero that day. He never said a word about payment and offered to order better lug nuts so I don’t have the same problem in the future. This place is amazing! Make sure you speak to Mike or any of the other associates available. I had the pleasure of working with Mike, the manager, and prior to bring my vehicle and he quoted me a price to have some parts repaired and was true to his word after all the work was done. Might I add, the work was impeccable and it a very decent price. They went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met and took great care of me. My son took my 2002 Ford Taurus in for tire quote and decided to surprise me with an oil change...the person who did the oil change convinced my son I needed to use the higher prices synthetic oil... unfortunately for me, my car is now leaking oil as well as you can smell oil burning from a drip somewhere...going to go have it changed again and go back to my regular oil and see if the issues stop...they should know a 2002 vehicle with 149,000 miles did not need the synthetic oil! Bless my sons sweet heart, he was do busy with his job during that hour or so I just feel like they took advantage of him but his heart was in the right place

I have always had good service here. Quick, reliable and honest. They are great at finding any issues and make good recommendations. I love using them because they have a safety point service making sure all lights and blinkers work as well as tires coolants etc.

The best, most honest place to take your car for all your needs. They have integrity, the shop is clean, and they honest. I use to go to the Bessemer location and the shop boss moved to the Hoover location and Ive been going there enter since. All of my cars and my childrens cars have been serviced there. Just wanted you to know that you have a great employee in Andrew Fuller. I have used several of your locations and have not been as impressed as I was by this young man. I am an older lady and he told me what I needed to have done but I never felt like he was trying to force me into doing them. Wonderful addition to your store.

OK for oil changes, but lacked basic tires in stock so was a wasted visit for me. Oil bay staff had to answer the phone so wait was overly long and very hot. Staff member was friendly.

I dropped off a wheel to get a new tire on the work truck. When I went to pick it up I had to wait so long to not get helped that I drove to the location on Grove Blvd and asked them to call over and get my wheel back for me. I’d rather put my new tire back on in my own driveway than let these guys attempt it.

I use to love coming here and did for years, I knew the faces and always had great work done. Those days are completely gone. Within the last year I have found out that my oil drain plug was cross threaded, 4 wheel lugs were cross threaded and one accessory belt that they told me looked fine completely shredded to pieces not 6 miles down the road. Their service has gone out the window and I cannot stand mechanic who use pneumatic tools without hand threading first. Absolutely pitiful and sad how they have changed.

They didnt have my oil for my town and country so I had to pay extra for a different oil just because they didnt stock my oil...

Outstanding customer service.... my battery died last night in a rather remote area. I called express oil change right at closing and not only did they remain open they sent a mechanic with a new battery. He brought and installed the battery on his way home. It was an awesome display of understanding a need and going out of their way to help someone in distress.

If you buy your own parts and have a mechanic perform the labor so as to save money, then I would suggest going elsewhere. While its understandable that hardly any mechanic will honor a warranty on a part that was not purchased through the mechanic, this Express Oil Change will not guarantee their labor. This may be a corporate policy that they cant help, but its something to keep in mind when choosing a service center.I had a gasket installed improperly, and when it was brought to their attention, they told me that the warranty was void due to the gasket being purchased elsewhere. Although the gasket had not failed and it was pointed out that the improper installation is the underlying cause, the only response I got was, I dont know about all of that.For oil changes and routine maintenance, this place is fine, but when it comes to repairs and working with a mechanic who will admit when something was done wrong and fix it, Id look elsewhere.

Great customer service. Was told I needed over $800 of brake work at a nearby dealer. I took my vehicle to Express Oil Change and their mechanic showed me that my brakes had at least 50% left. Integrity

Called to see if they had my tire size in stock. I was put on hold for a couple of minutes. Someone picked up and asked who I was holding for. I replied “tire engineers” . He asked me to hold again. I hung up 31 minutes later. I would have hung up sooner but it became a battle of wills. I did eventually loose. But I guess they did too as I will never do business there.

They do not honor the Lifetime rotate and balance package that was purchased through “Tire engineers” rude and not helpful! I can’t believe how rude! He said get the receipt so I did and he did not honor it still!
