My daughter loves the Tutoring Center. We love the one-on-one sessions, the format and the different options available (reading, writing, math, enrichment), and the tutors are very patient and friendly. Makeups are easy to schedule and switching sessions (days and times) to fit the ever changing schedules of a busy child, is very convenient. They also have a reward system which encourages each student to try their best.

I was recommended the Tutoring Center from a client/friend of mine and am so glad I made an appt to meet with Jules! She is so genuine and sweet and really cares for the students and parents. They really personalize the sessions for what the student needs. My sons math has improved a lot in the year that he’s been going. Distance learning was hard but the teachers here actually communicated with his teacher to see what they were going over in class and to see how best to help him. I highly recommend this place. They are awesome and what’s more amazing is that my son has never complained about having to go! Thank you Jules and staff!!

My neighbor mentioned how much her son loves this program so we had to give it a try. We were able to get in very quickly for an assessment and are excited to try the program.

I like that the Tutoring Center has toys and candy. You have to do worksheets to earn fake money which is called grab bags. Then if you have enough grab bags, you can get a toy and candy. That makes me work my hardest.

We’ve been attending The Tutoring Center for almost 2 years now. 2 years ago it helped my child get into our first choice private school as he needed help with both mathematics as well as reading. Fast forward to now, I am so grateful we signed him up especially since COVID has deeply affected education in 2020. I was incredibly concerned that my child would fall behind but his teachers have noted he’s above his grade, despite not being in school for most of the year. The care that The Tutoring Center takes into ensuring the safety of the children and it’s staff members during a pandemic is comforting and it’s allowed me to be confident in sending hIm there without hesitation (great mask policies, social distancing, hand sanitation, routinely cleaning spaces after every student, routine sanitation of entire facility). And finally, the biggest accolade is that my son is so excited to go to his session twice a week, he loves the curriculum and loves his tutors and he’s been with most of them! I highly recommend them if you need some extra help with your keiki’s learning!

I walked into the Tutoring Center to ask about an assessment for my nephew. I had heard good things about the place and that they offered a free assessment. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff member. She answered all of my questions and seemed happy to do so! The place was very clean and tidy too. Although the scheduling didnt work out for my nephew, based on what I saw, I would highly recommend it.

The Tutoring Center of Honolulu has been an invaluable gift to our son’s confidence in reading and writing. Our son has had a very hard time reading from the very beginning and fell behind his grade level in Kindergarten. This really affected this self-confidence and desire to read. He is now in 3rd grade and has been attending The Tutoring Center of Honolulu since June of 2015. In the past 6 months he has tremendously improved his reading and confidence level. This shows in all areas of his life! We plan on continuing this program until he surpasses his grade level and finds joy in reading and writing. We know this will take about another year and a half and we plan to continue to boost his skills as long as he is motivated and eager to learn with you, which he always is! We recently moved from another country and my sons math skills were behind his grade level here in Hawaii. He was very reluctant to ask questions in school because he felt so behind. The tutoring sessions give him the extra lessons and attention he needs and he can get answers to his questions. The Tutoring Center has been so helpful in improving his math skills and giving him confidence. Im thankful that hes having such a positive experience so that he is willing to go to tutoring and school is getting easier for him.

My daughter has been attending The Tutoring Center for a couple years now and have noticed a boost in her confidence in both Math and Reading. She looks forward to attending every week. They conduct quarterly assessments so you know exactly where your child stands and have meetings to discuss them. I recommend The Tutoring Center !!

I would recommend The Tutoring Center to any parents. I see big improvement in my daughter Isabellas school performance without additional homework . The staff are pleasant and flexible in scheduling tutoring sessions that are missed. The periodic free assessment has also helped me to identify her strengths and weaknesses as well as level of improvement in her reading and math.

Jules and the tutors have been such a breath of fresh air for my girl. They’ve helped her exponentially grow in reading. I say that if you have a concern or a struggling reader than The Tutoring Center is worth every dime.

My daughter looks forward for her two sessions a week. We wanted extra attention for her she switched into a new school and it has helped her become more secure with the new learning approach. She also enjoys working with all the tutors.

The communication between the Tutoring Center and I has been great. The director has visited my school to discuss my students math assessment and updates me, through email, on her tutoring progress. My students basic skills has improved and now she participates more in class discussions and completes classwork in a timely manner.

My daughter loves this place! They are filling in gaps in math that I knew she had but wasnt sure exactly what those gaps were. At the same time they are keeping her up to speed with the new concepts she needs to learn.

I got better in school and my grades got way better then last time before I came to this tutoring center now I can get better in school and others should go here too I recommend It.

I absolutely LOVE The Tutoring Center (TTC) on Aina Haina. The staff is professional, warm, and accommodating. Julie, is extremely helpful and patient with our ever changing schedule.TTCs approach to learning is fun and effective. My son (12yrs old) started this program few months ago. In just a few short months, attending three days a week, he became more confident and was reading site words and more. He now loves to read anything he sees in the world around him. Its not just his reading that has improved, his writing and math skills as well. . This is a well balanced program. Julie is amazing! She is always quick with ideas to make learning fun and exciting in our normal everyday activities. The entire staff is very informative about all of my sons progress from day to day. When my son loses focus during class, they use positive reinforcement to help him get back on track. I appreciate this tremendously. Learning should be a positive experience.
