Booked a Pearl Harbor trip. Called the day before to confirm. Was told to be outside at 6:20 for a 6:30 pick up. No one showed up.
Booked transport to/from the airport/hotel through Southwest Vacations for our trip to Waikiki July 25-30, 2021. Although there was a representative waiting for us when we arrived, we had to wait almost an hour and a half for a shuttle to pick us up at the airport. We were told to be checked out and ready for pick up for our return flight at 3:45am for a 7:05am flight. I called the day before to confirm - 5 times I got only voicemail, got a human on the 6th try. Verified the pick up time, and was assured I would receive a text when the driver was on his way. Started waiting at 3:30am, and at 4:15am, a Speedishuttle driver came to pick up ANOTHER GROUP, and said we were not on his list. We insisted he take us to the airport anyway. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. You would be better off taking an Uber.
Planning a family trip to Hawaii after 33 years. Booked a sunrise bike tour May 3 for June 23 date; confirmation number and email received. Tried printing vouchers before leaving (6/18) and find it was cancelled! No email/call or communication from Worldstar/phone # an incomprehensible joke. Now 1/2 group doing sunrise volcano tour and other half with sunrise tour and bike have NOTHING!! There is nothing available for that date now; everything booked thru end of July/August with any tour company. Thanks Worldstar for this fiasco DO NOT USE THIS TOUR COMPANY!
Booked and paid for our excursions in March 2021 through a travel agency for our trip in June 2021. Our Luau and ZipLine tours were booked through Worldstar. Here we are, two weeks before we leave, received notice that our excursions were cancelled because they were sold out. We purchased $1600 worth of excursions however paying for your tickets 3 months ahead of time apparently doesn’t guarantee you anything with this company! Beyond upset and now scrambling to find something for our family of 6 to do because everything is sold out! Had we known this was the way things worked, we would have gone alternate routes for our bookings. Horrible way of treating customers!
Not what you expect from a company who claims to have outstanding service. Booked our honeymoon through a travel agent, who booked through a vacation company - which then connected us to our transportation and tours through World Star. Several of the activities we planned for our vacation were missing critical information in the information packet we received for our trip. We had no idea which companies we were touring with, where to go, or what to expect - no phone number for tours either! This company did not call when they said they would and did not keep us informed.
I would highly recommend booking your excursions yourself and stay away from Worldstar Tours! We booked a Lei Greeting when we arrived in Honolulu on October 11, 2019 (our 25th wedding anniversary) and there was no one there to greet us. We spent 15 minutes looking for the representative that was supposed to provide us with a lei. This cost us $46. There was no one to be found and they refused to refund us!We booked a Pearl Harbor Tour and was given no details on where to go, who to ask for, no instructions. When I called ahead, I was able to reach someone after the 5th attempt. When I did speak to someone, I had to pry information out of the lady to get any information. When trying to locate the tour bus for Pearl Harbor, we were looking for a Worldstar Bus or representative, but they booked it through another company. We asked every tour bus representative if we were supposed to be on their bus. We finally found the bus. We were the only couple who wasnt given a voucher. We were concerned that we wouldnt be able to go on the tour, our confirmation number was the only thing that allowed us access. The first two days of our trip was not a good experience, because of our dealings with Worldstar Tours. Thank goodness, we did not have any other tours scheduled with this company for the rest of our stay.I think it is pretty unprofessional on their part to not refund us for $46 when we didnt receive a Lei Greeting. We have not asked for any compensation on the Pearl Harbor experience. I dont typically give negative reviews, I try to find the silver lining in everything. The only reason Im writing this is to warn anyone else who might consider using this company. I recommend scheduling your own excursions!
Incredible service from the airport to my hotel. Customer service reps helped with all queries. Will definitely choose them again!
Quite possibly the worst travel company I’ve ever experienced.Booked the Feast at Lele in Maui about 2 months ago prior to coming to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Was informed 48 hours prior to the event (while in Hawaii) that the Luau was overbooked and we were scheduled for another Luau at another hotel on a different day. Spoke with 4 different representatives regarding this issue, as we wanted Feast of Lele specifically and were even willing to reschedule to another day. Never received follow up on our request from ANY of them and were disconnected while on hold with the last one.This is not a problem with a specific individual having a bad day or forgetting to call us back. Every company has issues like that. This reflects a failure on part of the company itself for overbooking events and cancelling guests at the last minute as they see fit with no attempt to work with the customer. We have honestly never experienced an issue like this with any other travel company. Please avoid using this company to book events on your vacation as their reliability and customer service is completely unprofessional.
Awful service on the airport to hotel transfer. Did not pick us up from the airport and sent no communication. It sucks when you land in Hawaii and see everyone getting great airport greetings while you worry how you are going to get to your hotel.
We shouldve read the reviews! Customer service has been AWFUL! Toni, the customer service supervisor was beyond rude, and wanted us to pay TWICE for a tour weve already taken, and wasnt happy with. I strongly suggest AAA to book through another company. Were canceling all of our tours booked through this company.
I only gave a one star rating since zero star is not avaliable. World Star was suppose to pick me up at the airport. I waited for them at the baggage claim in the Honolulu airport for over an hour. Called them three times while waiting only to be put on hold for an extended period of time after each call. Each time, I was told that a man in a blue hawaiian shirt was on his way and would be there in a few minutes. Man never showed up. Eventually an elderly woman on a walker who spoke little english showed up holding a sign with my name on it. She directed me to a van where I waited several minutes and then was driven to another terminal where we waited another 45 minutes for an incoming flight with 17 people. These folks crowded into the shuttle and there was not enough room for all their luggage so it was just shoved into the aisle. The shuttle driver said he had never heard of Worldstar. 2.5 hours later I made it to the hotel. After this treatment I cancelled my two remaining tours with Worldstar and asked for a refund. They refused to reimburse me for anything. Never use these people!
Will never use them again. Some do not even understand English. One and half hours late picking us up at hotel to go to airport. Had to call twice. Said guy was already there and we were 45 minutes ahead of pick up time very frustrating to deal with!
In a word, swindlers, exactly the same as the previous one, the only thing that nobody appeared here after waiting more than half an hour and calling twice.
