I have been serving process for 36 years. I often need to send a job to another company to have it served in their State as in this case. My client gave me the assignment at 4:20 PM Pacific time to serve a person who was only going to be in Honolulu for 1 night. We only knew the hotel and had a photo. I contacted Melissa with the instructions to go to the resort in Honolulu and see if they could find the subject in the lobby, restaurant or bar. In my opinion, I thought we had about a 30% chance in being successful and I asked that they would do their best. I was informed that the server waited for about an hour then saw the subject. The server identified the subject and the subject took off running. He ended up in an elevator refusing to identify himself and refused to take the papers. The server was able to get a great photo of the subject for the affidavit and left the papers at his feet. AAA Legal Process is more than you would expect from a legal process server. For example, I once had the compounded problem of needing to return a contract document on short notice and the contract document would not format correctly. My secretary couldnt figure it out and neither could the computer techie. As I was ordering service of process from Melissa over the telephone in another case, I mentioned the problem I was having with the digital document and she graciously offered to try to fix the problem, and lo and behold, she had the solution! Now, I do not believe that document reformatting is in their usual line of business, however, that story highlights their willingness to help beyond what you would expect of a process server. I would recommend Melissa and the team at AAA Legal Process to any solo practitioner or small firm. I like their service-oriented style!
