We unfortunately did not see any whales but thats just bad luck since Atlantis obviously doesnt control sea wild life. Otherwise, the cruise was nice, beautiful views of Waikiki and Diamond Head. Nice day just out on the ocean. Enjoyed standing at the front of the ship even when it was bouncy. Would probably do it again and hope for better luck with the whales.
This cruise was great fun. It was a very smooth ride and they prepared you well when there was expected turbulence. The food was good, the coffee... Ok, the cake was great! The staff s attentive and friendly. The entertainment was fun! I recommend this cruise. I upgraded to the Celebration package which we all agreed that it was worth it. The photos they took were fantastic (I even looked decent!).
Someone was at the door to take our photo before boarding, so youll have a chance to purchase the photos later. The buffet was okay, nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. The menu was exactly the one provided for you on the website. Go look ahead so youll know what to expect. We got unlimited housewine and beer with the sunset cruise we bought, that was a plus. And we got some clouds that evening but it was fine. Still got some nice sunset photos. Staff was friendly and professional. Thank you. I enjoyed it very much!
Lots of fun. Reasonable prices. Nice boat.
Great time, great music, staff, dancers really enjoyed it!
When I got to O’ahu, I was very excited about all these different sunset cruises so for the next week I researched all of them and decided to go with Atlantis. When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It ruined my whole appetite. The bottom level reeked with some awful smell I can’t describe only because I spent the majority of the time there holding in my breath so that I smell it less. I didn’t eat anything except for a few pieces of pineapple, 3 bites of mashed potatoes and a bite of the chocolate cake. I would’ve ate more but I couldn’t because of the smell. I was on the bottom level for only 15 mins so I was so eager to go the observation deck. When I got there, I was very disappointed that there was no lounge chairs; Just rock hard garden chairs. I feel like this whole cruise ship is very outdated. The Chiavari chairs don’t make up for that. I would like to point out that the staff is very great and welcoming and that’s the only reason I gave this a few stars. If you are looking for a mediocre night with pretty views then I suggest you go here, but if you are looking for something very romantic, modern, and tasty, I suggest you go else where.
Cruise overall was okay. You are greeted with drinks. If you choose the appetizer meal, thats what you technically pay for. They only serve you meat (okay, not the best)Some rice and potatoes would be nice if they were in the package. The only thing that was great about the cruise was the open bar. I can say that it would be fine if I lived w/o attending that dinner cruise. Its not to die for.
Fantastic whale cruise!!!! This was our second time this season and we saw whales (including a baby) playing within 5 minutes of leaving the dock. Our cruise included lunch which was chips, deli meats, breads and fresh fruit. Very tasty, only problem is that you hate to leave the outside decks to go eat. This is a MUST DO if you are in the area during whale season.
What a fun evening. Entire crew acted as great hosts. Food was terrific, and seeing the sunset and then the city lights from the water was an excellent way to end the day. We also took home some excellent photographs the crew took. Their two photographers produced photos much better than our own. Plus, they were a delight. Highly recommend this cruise.
Love it like it been on it ...
Very nice cruise. Good dinner buffet with a good variety of food and desserts. The sunset was beautiful and the fireworks were nice as well. The only negative is the parking. Every one has to pay at the gate at the end. Takes a long time. The cruise was great and so was the staff.
Food was acceptable for a buffet, drinks are great and strong. The non alcoholic ones are fruity and amazing just the way i like it ! The view was amazing though for our experience the weather was not what we expected ( cloudy and rainy so not sunset).. bummer but totally recommend going if its your first dinner cruise. Its something nice especially with family. The second floor they had a hawaiin group playing and a dancer and it sounded beautiful:) . Females please wear some comfortable shoes I wore a 3 inch heel shoes and as I walked around the moving ship it was really hard balancing myself. Other than that please enjoy! Recommend the visit
122 for a ticket was way to much and didn’t seem worth it at all. The only thing my Mother and I enjoyed was the fireworks. The dinner was not good the music was horrible and it was just to long. You got one alcoholic beverage and after that it was water! And you had to pay for Parking..There was an hour where folks had their heads on the table and couples that you could tell were not having a good time.. the staff was very friendly professional and welcoming. But I just wish we could have spent our money else where or maybe tried a smaller vessel. We were told this was better...
We had our original plans cancelled due to the weather and wanted to do the submarine tour by the phone operator told us the whale tour was still running. Since I have never seen a whale in real life and really wanted to see one in Hawaii, my boyfriend and I bought the whale tour. I am only giving a star because of the food and drink. But I was immensely disappointed because we did not see any whales and I felt scammed by the staff because they knew the weather was going to be bad and still ran the tour anyway. Any other company would’ve cancelled the tour if they knew the customer wasn’t going to get a good experience. They offer another tour on a different day but Hawaii tomorrow and who know when we will ever be able to come back. I wish this company had some integrity and would’ve cancelled the tour or at least have a refund. I left in tears because of the disappointment.
Went on the whale watching cruise, the last one of the season and we saw three whales! The pilot was great and kept us with the three whales for the majority of the trip. We also saw a pod of dolphins two separate times and sea turtles. Food was OK, but who cares when the scenery is so great. The guide in the boat was really knowledgeable about everything we saw, including the island and the mountains. Pointed out all the tourist attractions.
My wife and I took one of their cruises on the Majestic from Waikiki and consider it one of the weak spots of our vacation.Weak spot one: Nick, our guide on the bus ride to the cruise seemed quite inexperienced. He repeated himself several time along the way, and at one point recommended with a straight face going to Dave and Busters for a good time while on vacation (Seems to me that Oahu might have some more inspired options).Weak spot two: Though the cruise is quite expensive, the food is mediocre. We had relatively bland pork (Hawaiian food is usually quite tasty!), salad that was mostly cheap iceberg lettuce and pasta that was fine, but nothing special. The ride was a couple of hours long, and traveled a pretty section of coastline... but its kind of hard to screw that up.
Awesome experience! Im not a big fan of ocean activities, but i had a great time. The food was good, the service was good, the view was awesome. I appreciated the variety of food offered in the buffet, and i intend to go again and try the appetizer cruise!
We purchased the dinner sunset cruise on a Friday night for the fireworks. The greeting was great. Then the server/service was horrible. The gentleman taking the drink orders asked if we wanted to start a tab which we did. He only had 2 tables that we were aware of and he couldnt get any of the drinks very timely at all. We would sit for 20 min for our first drink and then almost 30 for the second. We asked to cash out and they said the card machine was rebooting. I understand but we already had a tab could have kept the drinks coming. The lady who was bartending had nothing to do. She could have been making drinks. The cruise was pretty rough though no fault of theirs. The food was excellent. Which made the evening.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! Very disappointed by this cruise. All 4 of us got sea sick.It was a long ride and we did not even get to see any whale during all 2.5 hours. Also, at first, when we arrive, they wanted to charge us 10$ usd/person and did not accept cancellation. After arguing, they finally accepted without additional charges.Choose an other company or just pass. You will lose 2.5 hours of your time and won’t get to see any whales
This was a great sunset dinner cruise I took my wife on. Food was great just limited desserts. We send on February 20th 2020 we got to see a few Whales from a distance. I got my tickets through military MWR ITT office in Pearl Harbor. Parking was better than I thought first hour was free than $2 every hour after.
The cruise was nice but not great. The views were special but the same cannot be said for the foos aboard . There is nothing to dislike, just nothing to rave about. For the dollars charged I had expected more. I am not panning them just not raving about the cruise either.
Pleasant crew, naturalist and Japanese translator provided info on whales, captain tracked the whales we spotted early on for most of cruise while maintaining required distances. Except when they surprised us and surfaced within spitting distance... Saw them surface and dive at least 6 times. A light lunch and soda, coffee, tea included. Other beverages for purchase.
We are not told, at the time of the booking and payment 6 hours before the cruise, that the observation deck would be closed for a private party. No refund or compensation was offered once we were informed of this on the way to the cruise.Edit: We did receive a 50% refund from Atlantis Cruises the next day, and we appreciate it.
Took the Friday night Fireworks cruise as it was our last night in Honolulu. The cruise was well timed and the views from the water were great. Fireworks show was quick, I think about 5 minutes. But the sunset!!! Wow.
Whale watching is great but DONT BUY LUNCH. It costs 20 or 25 dollar for just sandwich without drink.
Fantastic morning out, saw plenty of whales, and some brill views of waikiki and diamond head,Just do it!!
We did the appetizer cruise. Beautiful views and smooth ride. What they dont tell you is they dont refill the appetizers so you better get enough the first time through the line because there wont be any left if you want to go back to get any more.
Nick is REALLY cool, went on the cruise as part of a school trip and he made it one of the best parts of the trip
Enjoyed the beautiful sunset and entertainment with 4 generations of family. If you ever get a chance to experience this dinner cruise it’s a must! Make sure you catch Henry at the bar 👌
Slightly disorganized perhaps due to late start due to heavy traffic caused passenger buses to be late getting to the ship. However this doesnt explain the poor organization in getting the pre-boarding photos delivered to the passengers at the end of the sail. We did manage to get ours via email but wanted the hard copies offered onboard. Were told wed get them as we disembarked but they were no where to be seen. Otherwise a great sail which I would do again.
Nice ship, decent food and drink, beautiful views of Waikiki and Diamond Head at sunset. Shakey staff service.
This a very fine lunch and whale watching experience for anyone. Naturalist on board, many whale sightings, nice deli sandwich lunch included. Highly recommend this smaller yacht for the cruise.
Very disappointing business practice. The boat broke down. That stuff happens - no big deal. The problem is they knew all morning it had mechanical problems, but instead of letting us make the choice of rescheduling or hoping it would be corrected, they put us on a 30 minute bus ride, had us order drinks on the boat and then say it wasn’t fixed. Then I lost more time waiting in line to get my money back. You wasted my one free day on the island. You can’t reimburse that. Terrible business!
If I had the option to give zero stars I would . I spoke to one of the employees named Eric to book tickets for the sunset cruise . I was told that the tickets were confirmed and to wait for the transportation. But no transportation showed up for me . I called the guy few times and left a message .And after the fact that the cruise left I get a phone call from the guy asking me to go out for a nice dinner instead. This is absolutely not professional and not how anyone should operateThis is just ridiculous and I do not get any refunds for no mistake of mine. I will not advise this tour
Nice option for a sunset cruise. Nice, clean boat. 1st story is buffet which takes quite some time to get through. Food is mediocre, drinks are expensive. We did not get reserved seating which was a mistake. Boat was crowded on a Friday night and not much seating available. Do yourself a favor and dont book through a hotel, book directly from website. Our transportation was late, we were the last on the boat and had to wait almost 45 minutes to attempt the buffet line. Staff were sparse, but helpful when they could help you.
We enjoyed the trip, the ride out was kind of rough, we did get to see whales. And the bread on the sandwich bar was delicious, I wish I knew where they got it from.
Cant inform people that they cancel the whale watching, plus they were rude and unfriendly, dont go whale watching there!
This was a nice cruise across the main part of Oahu. Enjoyed the the Friday Waikiki fireworks from the ocean bay.
Took the submarine tour and the whale watching tour from Atlantis. Kids loved it!
Basically a semi fancy golden corral buffet with a short cruise around the harbor. Not worth the price.
Loved it but we did buy online and it said prime rib and snow crab would be available but it wasnt and when I asked about it they said they stopped doing those about a year ago...so website needs to be updated but other than that it was great!
Everything worked like clock work. Pretty good meal for a buffet. Great views and wonderful service. Plus the fireworks on Friday. Beautiful sunset.
Nice cruise. Good food. Great staff. Fireworks on the Friday night was just the touch the boat needed
A good experience, but the foods mediocre at best.
3 stars because of the food. The experience was awesome though. The food was cold and could possibly be scary
Really disappointed !! Was expecting a lovely cruise with appetizers and drinks. We arrived at our pick up location waited 30mins, no bus so husband called and was told there was issues at earlier stop and bus would be there soon. Another 25 mins till the bus arrived!!We then hand over our reservation receipt only to be told we weren’t on the list and she would have to call to find out IF we could get on the bus. We were allowed on the bus and were told she didn’t have enough boarding passes and she would give ours later. We were given boarding passes only to be told 15mins later they were the wrong ones and when we get off the bus she would find the correct ones.We arrive and the boat looks great from afar! We are told to get into the photo line and we would receive our boarding passes after our photo. Photo done and yet again we wait. 10 mins later our guide runs over goes inside, comes back out and hands us our correct passes and wrist bands. We board grab our complimentary and climb the stairs and enter the 2nd level.Out server comes over introduces himself and tells us we can help ourselves to the appetizer buffet and if we want to order a drink he will he over to get them for us.Lucky we went and got something to eat as no time throughout the evening was it ever refilled. Unfortunately the majority was cold!!We return to our seats, eat then go upstairs to take some photos as the windows were smudgy and couldn’t get clear photos. When we come back down my husband goes to get a skewer of fruit, Ryan our server comes over to clear the plates (from before we went out) and asked if we were done, I told him we were and that my husband would like to order a drink, Ryan left with the plates and NEVER came back !! About 20mins later another lady came and asked if we would like something and we ordered 2 cocktails. After the boat turned we moved to the other side of the boat (windows were just as bad) we spent 20mins trying to get Ryan’s attention to order another drink, he spent the majority of the night chatting to co workers!!Due to low clouds there was no sunset!!A night I would not want to repeat and a big disappointment particularly for the price !!
No whales today. Very Bumpy waters. Line for “guarantee whale sighting” refund which is a coupon for another boat ride was slow and you have to use it “within the season” which if you aren’t coming to Hawaii every month is pretty worthless.Edit: Response: We were not given the option for refund. We would have taken that as we had a party of 6 people.
Omg! Fantastic! Great food! Great staff!
Beautiful sunset cruise. Lots of time on the water over looking Waikiki from a very stable boat called the majestic
My mom had seruis mption sick nes dry bread
Great sunset, but did not enjoy the food or entertainment. The Star of Honolulu sunset cruise is much better with great entertainment.
Dinner cruise on the Majestic was a dud. The food was mediocre at best, and the diesel fumes outside were sickening. Night views of the city were beautiful.
We loved it!! Staff were very friendly and awesome ride thank you! Capitan!
Awesome experience, great price and the captain knows where the whales are, very fast reaction time 🤙
Very good buffet, fun entertainment on the second deck. Recommend reserved seating, open seating areas were more crowded.
Friendly staff, new boat, good food and bar. Suggest taking on Friday so you can see the fireworks after dinner.
Very, very good, good service and yummy food.would recommend any one visiting Hawaii to do this dinner cruise.
Employee and Cruiser, love the excellent pride in work ethic as well as superior customer service skills of all employees and staff.
We had a nice 4th of July cruise.
Not as good as they used to be 😞 photo staff were snotty and rude. Soft drinks now cost $1 when they used to be free despite the trip costing more ☹️ and plastic straws? Really??? Whale watching tours should be the example for conservation practices. Just a bit disappointed.
An excellent cruise! We booked a whale watching cruise about two weeks prior to the sail date online with no issue. They had a kama aina deal for adults at $40 and kids at $20 that we could not pass up.The boat was large and well maintained, staffed with nice people and the provided lunch of chips, lunchmeat, fruits, veggies and more was actually tasty. There are three decks/levels to observe from: the bottom two are indoor with A/C & large windows while the third level is open air with overhead cover. There was a guy playing the ukelele and singing local music, which was a nice touch. Also there is a cash bar (the price of drinks was reasonable and is NOT included in the price of the tickets). As for whales, we almost had no whales until the cruise was over. The captain decided to stay out an extra 20ish minutes to ensure we saw some whales and we did.Lastly, the cruise is different than other whale watching cruises I have been on on the East Coast of the US and Maui. Thise all take you out a bit, away from the city. This particular cruise we were never more than a mile or two from the shoreline of Honolulu, which made an awesome backdrop for photos.I highly recommend Atlantis Cruises as we have used them before for their submarine cruises also. We have been very satisfied and pleased with them when we use them and will probably go back for more excursions!
Great sightseeing. Kind staff. Food was actually not so good.
My husband and I booked the sunset dinner cruise with fireworks through our hotel. We were led to believe that it would be a romantic evening with great food. Sadly it was not, so please adjust your expectations accordingly. Its more like a giant crowded wedding reception than an buffet style restaurant with some privacy at your table. Upon arrival you have your photo taken and then you have a choice of two drinks (one alcoholic one not). Thats great, but then when you get inside its chaos. The tables each seat 8 people and its a free for all. You awkwardly shovel in and find a seat you hope is free. There was no staff to direct us. Once we sat down we noticed that other tables were eating already. Turns out the food line is a total free for all and no they will not call you up table by table or wait until the boat is boarded before serving. Those who entered first just ran for the food before the boat was even half boarded. Well, I guess well go join this line that is stretching the length of the boat. We leave our jackets to mark our seats and then stand for 15 minutes waiting for a turn with the food. From the line we watched as the seats of the couple sitting next to us were taken by other confused passengers. They didnt leave a coat there so I guess its free game. The food was ok but its not worth the price you pay. Their website has deals (I see a buy one admission and get the 2nd for $25 deal right now that our hotel did not offer us so dont get ripped off like us from your hotel.) As we were eating the first couple returned to find their seats occupied and then shuffled elsewhere in search of a different open spot. Unless you have a party of 8 youll be eating with strangers. Theres nothing wrong with that, but we expected a dinner for two and figured there would be smaller tables for the smaller parties. Enjoy your awkward small talk or silence. The boat moves with the sunset behind it for most of the time so people crowded outside to the back. It was only right at the end that the boat turned sideways so the most people possible could see the sunset in its final minutes. The crowding bothered us so we did not join the mass on the upper deck. A staff member found us to show the photo we took at the entrance and how we can purchase it. It looked like a standard cell phone photo. Not worth. The sunset was pretty and the fireworks were great. We appreciated how all the lights were turned off so we could see the fireworks better out the windows. You get an excellent view of them as the boat returns to the dock. This cruise is ok if you have the right expectations and dont mind regular tasting food. It just wasnt what we wanted at all. The crowd started exiting the boat as soon as we stopped and this was before the announcement was given that we were now free to leave. Its like there was either no communication between staff, or the giant mass of people were just so rude that nobody cared or listened to order. We were over dressed, so just be casual. Very few people dressed up for this dinner. You can purchase drinks on board too but the prices are very high.
Good food, great view of the island, and fireworks on Fridays!
Not that impressed. They need to change their menu. Food was so plain and boring. Tv dinner tastes better. Its a buffet and it takes them forever to clear your table. Poor communication and not enough employees.
Im giving it 5 stars. Only because I went on my birthday and Isa was our server. And she went above and beyond to make this pupu cruise an memorable one. There pupus are on the top floor and there buffet on the first floor or deck. Both are served at the same time. After eating, you can roam the whole ship. They had for pupus, Teri meatballs, Thai chicken screwers, edamamme, sausage with suited onions and bell peppers, and fresh fruit kabbabs. The buffet was totally different. They had the spread.....Gotta check it out. Beautiful day. Memorable birthday....
Food was amazing. I saw the green flash at sunset.
Fun dinner cruise facing the Honolulu skyline. Food was ok.
Really enjoyed the Friday night fireworks cruise. A must do when in Oahu.
Good buffet dinner, great ocean views, totally worth it.
We did the Majestic Cruise. Once the host greets your party, you will be guided to your assigned group dinner table seating. Buffet on the first deck starts immediately when you arrive. You will be given a drink ticket (1 per person) which you can use to redeem on select alcoholic breverges. At anytime you can enjoy the lounge in the 2nd deck and the open air viewing on the 3rd deck. (Buffet of Small pupus and full bar are located on the 2nd deck, these items can be carried throughout vessel). The vessel goes out to Waikiki near Diamond head and returns to Pier 6 after sunset (after fireworks on fridays).
Cold food....nice cruise
Awsome time great food
Music was good, the dinner was a joke, prisoners portion, wasnt worth the price, A night in paradise was more like 4, hours of hostage
Friendly crew and good food!
Very good cruise, food and fireworks
Great island cruises in Hawaii ❤🌞
