How about 45 minutes late? They said they were busy, but a couple that called them at the same time we did, got their taxi in about 6 minutes. Ours took about 45 minutes. It was 10 oclock at night, about 2 am our time back home and we had two small children. Granted our plane was late, but it seems like in the airport taxi business, they would be prepared for that. Not sure why the couple beside us who called at the same time we did, got the taxi first. The first time I called, they did not ask for a name, but they said it would be there in about 8 minutes, which did not happen. We called multiple times, but the lady said they were busy. The driver was nice, but would never use them again because it is not worth the risk of it being a busy time and having to wait for a long time because they do not have enough drivers. We got a different ride to the airport and they were right on time.

Love Charleys taxi! Easy, well priced way to get around Oahu, Waikiki, they have great deals to getting to popular destinations from Waikiki. Their drivers are always super professional and nice! We use them every time we are in Hawaii. Also the best rate in town to get to airport from Waikiki.

They are on time, polite and helpful. Their vehicles are clean. Easy to pay with a credit card if you like. I do prefer to tip cash. Very easy to make a reservation. Will definitely use them again.

No nonsense typical taxi driver for the common folk with better rates. Try to get the flat rate. We got a flat rate minivan for $29 for 2 people from Waikiki to HON Airport (May2021) reserved the night before, so they are very accommodating. They will remind you to tip the driver. Vehicle was clean & driver knows his route, even when I questioned why he didnt go another way. Driver settled our luggage for us, even going so far as to cover them with a blanket to avoid scratches. I would choose them again to get from A to B. Its not fancy, but it gets you there safely & on-time. Driver doesnt speak much, probably because hes focused on the road & keeps your privacy. Good bang for your buck!

We used Charlies while on Oahu. Both times drivers were professional, and the first showed up early. The second driver today was extremely friendly. We enjoyed our conversation with him, including his one year-old son. He automatically gave us a military discount. I gave it back to him plus extra.

Love them! Love their rates! Love their quick response time! I would suggest scheduling ahead as often as you can because they do get busy during peak times and seem short staffed at night.

Then drivers and cars are always pleasant the only complaint is they are often very busy and there is quite a long wait most timed that Ive called. One positive thing is that they always accept cash or card which is not all that common most taxis around here only accept cash

Ive used them for a week and diff stops, every driver has been polite and even chatted during the trip. Ive been quoted an hour almost every time Ive called but each time theyve showed up in 5-10mins.Only minused a star because some drivers may still have base access but in reality they do not. I have been asked by dispatch multiple times if I needed a base accessible driver yet..they dont have access to base without an affiliate

Both of our drivers were very nice and very helpful. They gave us tons of tips on where to eat and where to go. They both were punctual and took the fastest routes. Would recommend.

I had a taxi reserved for 5am to get to the airport and it was 20 minutes late. The driver was nice but just plan earlier than you need to make sure you’re not late.

Been to Honolulu 2 times and used Charleys for Evey ride except 1 time. Big mistake using the other company. Charleys cars are always looking like new and the drivers are super friendly and helpful. Never had to wait on them at the airport either. Was always a car there within 5 minutes.

Charleys Taxi was Dishonest with myself and my Family we came in to Honolulu to have a Great Relaxing Trip and in ON our way from the Airport we used Charleys Taxi to drive us to our Hotel and theyre suppose to use there flat rate of $29 from the Airport, the Driver let the meter run and Charge us $45-50 and then we gave him a tip. I feel that was so Dishonest, We used Charleys Taxi Several Times on our Trip .We then learned the day we were Leaving that they Had an Flat rate by one of there other Drivers. So Dishonest and I dont Appreciate that type of business. I know there are some that have been out of work for A while but dont take from others,who have also been out of work. God dont like ugly. IF YOU TAKE A CHARLEYS TAXI MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR THERE FLAT RATE of $29 SO YOU WONT GET SCAMMED

Cory, I think was his name, was so nice and was so helpful. He helped load and unload me and my husbands luggage and was such a nice guy. He also pointed out some parts of the island and gave me some tips since I have never been here before. This taxi service is flexible if you have a lot of luggage, we had about 13 pieces of luggage, and they fit it into their vehicle just fine, just make sure you request the larger vehicle. Used 5 times in 2 days on a quick visit to Honolulu All but one driver was wonderful. It is very helpful to be able to Go to their website to get an estimate of what your ride will cost.

If youre going to or from the airport this is a great inexpensive option. I got a taxi from Waikiki to the western side of the island and this cost around $140 but the uber home during prime time was ony $60. The driver tried scaring us into thinking we wouldnt be able to get a ride home later and tried to pressure us into securing a ride from her...glad that we didnt!!

After attending a dinner time Luau at Wet n Wild we found ourselves having a tough time finding a ride back to Aulani. Between the driver, Hao, and the dispatcher they went out of their way during a severe driver shortage and got my family of five to the hotel with little wait.Our driver, Hao, SUPER nice and humble man. What a pleasure to not only have drive us, but also to speak with. Complete gentleman, 100% professional, and at the same time personable and relatable. HIGHLY recommended!!I will also be speaking with the front desk and concierge at Aulani to express my total satisfaction with their recommendations.

If you need a taxi from your hotel to the airport in Honolulu, we highly recommend this. Super easy to schedule, on time, flat rate which was at least $10-$15 less than Uber. Our driver lifted our very heavy bags for us, was so so kind and polite and conversed with us just the right amount. We took a ton of rides this trip and this was the best!

These guys know the streets well and showed up in Waikiki to get me to the airport for 30% less than a Lyft or Uber (which had no ETA—rideshare supply is extremely constrained right now, so even with surge you may not get a ride). If I could change one thing about my trip, I would have just taken taxis the whole time. If you know you’ll need a taxi in advance, you can call to schedule too. Highly recommend!

We had another shuttle service booked from the airport to our condo in downtown waikiki, that was booked previous to flying to hawaii and they didnt show up! We called them multiple times and they said theres an accident, youll have to wait 1-2 hours while being exceptionally rude.While standing helplessly at the airport I noticed Charleys taxis going by and decided to call them, the lady was SO polite and showed empathy for our situation. She was able to dispatch a car to use within 30 minutes, with tracking! At a flat rate of $29 this was amazing given uber/lyft were showing up for $100+ at that hour. Our driver was kind, the car was very clean, and since it was a van there was no issues on space or number of people. Charleys taxis was the best way to start off our trip to Hawaii and well definitely be booking with them again!

Great cheaper option instead of Lyft and Uber I compared prices! I wish they had this here in Oregon. They’re always quick too which I love. Also they offer a flat rate price from the airport to the beach and vice versa which is 29 + tax so around 31.50 you can’t beat that!

Made reservations to Hanauma Bay. They got me there. My reservation to get back to the hotel however was a nightmare. They failed to show up, everytime we called they said there was another person on the way. No one came. Finally they said they couldn’t pick us up due to no drivers. We sat for over three hours calling to get anywhere to come get us. The prices of Uber jumped from $60 to $140 within the time we were waiting for them to deliver us a taxi.

Requested a pick up at 5:30 a.m. and they were early on time quick fast and right to my destination.

The driver called us personally to verify, and when she dropped us she let us know how soon she could get back to Pearl Harbor, and told us we could just call her directly that amount of time before we got there. She was there on time.

Driver #1257 overcharged my mother. Although the flat rate of a ride from Kaka’ako to the airport is $25, the driver said he charges by meter and told to pay $35.77 and a drop fee of $3.50. He also showed up ten minutes late and dropped her off at the wrong terminal and made her walk.

Set up with Christine via email and her communication was on point. When we arrived Kevin was waiting for us with the extend SUV and was there ahead of time to make sure he was waiting. After a long trip it was nice to have Kevin there for us to load up our luggage for six people. The the extended SUV (a Yukon) was nice, the AC was cold and his professional was above and beyond the call of duty. The fare was EXTREMELY reasonable and I highly, highly recommend using Charleys taxi for pick up at the airport no matter what the circumstances. It was nice to be received by Charleys Taxi and their flat rate service to the Hale Koa is the perfect ending to your beginning of your vacation.
