Simply, just WOW!!!Stopped in to check out the store and met Tom. Thank you Tom for your display of Aloha.I was blown away with the equipment. However, even better was Tom demonstrating some incredible audiophile knowledge along with mind blowing audio equipment.I know when I am ready to upgrade my system, Audio Lab is the place to go to.

Best Audio and Home Theater store in Honolulu! This store is about the gear and the music. They have the best, often hard-to-find items; they know what theyre talking about; and theyre incredibly nice and unpretentious. Tom has given me the kind of thoughtful, individual customer service I didnt know stores offered anymore. I bought here an amazing integrated amplifier for my stereo setup, and a new Arcam receiver with room correction for my home theater, speaker cables, and waiting now for a new to market Focal speakers. Great results!Business hours make it easy for people with regular jobs to stop in before or after work. Highly recommended!

I loved visiting this store when in Honolulu. There are so many great pieces of hi-end stereo components. Tom is very knowledgable and encouragesyou to hang out and listen as long as you want. It almost seems like anaudio club. Wish we had a store like that in NYC.

Fantastic store and friendly staff. During a visit to Hawaii I visited this store and found a wealth of audio treasures. I especially like his collection of turntables, of which I purchased a pre owned Acoustic Signature (80 lbs) and had a shipped back to the continental US. It was well packaged and arrived in two boxes. I highly recommend this store.

I would avoid this dealer at all cost. I promptly paid the products that I purchased; however, its been months and I have yet to receive the items from my order. Excuses continue to build up. I will be reporting this situation to the better business bureau.

Didnt seem to want my business, and instead of giving me the info I asked for, he said bye and hung up. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. You shouldnt just say not worth it when you dont know what value I place on things. Im serious

I called these guys because my home theater (which they did not install) was having an issue. I was prepared to be price gouged as has been my experience with anything related to home audio. Imagine my surprise when the person who answered the phone walked me through my system to troubleshoot for 15min, to diagnose the likely problem, which in this case was a sender/extender that I could replace myself. Thats customer service to someone who isnt even a customer. Thanks!!!

Tom Choi sold me an amplifier that was not working knowingly, He then promised to refund the money and never did. I live in Maine. The whole thing is documented in Audiogon. He has been banned from the site subsequently. So, I am out of $650. He is not a reliable person to do business with. I am now trying to get a a claim through the department of commerce in Hawaii. I bought a nuforce 7 channel power amp on Audiogon from Tom. Delivery was super slow as he claimed he couldnt find the remote. It took one and a half months for me to get the amp. However, I found one channel not working as soon as I hooked it up. Tom immediately promised to either pay me for an upgrande or send me a replacement amp board. I chose the board. But its another one and a half months now and I havent got the amp board yet. Hes not even replying my messages. Dont buy from him. Hes a total FRUAD!!!

I dont like to write bad reviews. But in this case, it warrants one. I had purchased an used turntable that Tom listed on Audiogon back in July 2014 for $3,750. He is the authorized dealer in Honolulu. After a few communications, I sent my payment via PayPal. But a month had gone by and I had not received the item nor communication from Tom. I contacted PayPal to hold payment as well as Audiogon to initiate an inquiry. That was when Tom finally responded and promised he would ship me the item right away. It took him another month and 3 separate shipments before I finally got MOST parts of the turntable. It turned out the motor was not working properly, and I was missing a belt. Tom promised to send me a new motor plus belt, and he would throw in an arm board that I was considering purchasing for all the troubles. At that time, we spoke on the phone, and Tom promised the item would arrive in 2 weeks. He asked me to release the payment and I complied on good faith. Well, its been 8 months. I get the usual 2-weeks answer whenever I called or e-mailed and Tom actually decided to pick up the phone or reply to my emails.Ive documented every exchange on Audiogon. Unfortunately, I just checked there, and Audiogon has conveniently deleted the transaction completely. Fortunately, I have documented the entire transaction with PayPal, BBB (Honolulu), as well as file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency of Hawaii. You can request to see the documentation with either entity. The last communication I had received was an email dated 1/22/15, in which Tom stated that his distributor had just received these items and will be shipping them out to me within two days. I know for fact that the distributor had these items since September or October last year and theyve been waiting for Tom to make payment to claim them. Ive spoken to the distributor a few times regarding this matter as well.Ive exhausted all my avenues to try to get Tom to finalize this transaction to no avail. Ive since got the power supply (controlling the motor) fixed on my own dime and told Tom that I would only require him to send me the belt and the arm board and call it a day. But he has not replied. Short of filing a suit at the small claims court, I am posting this here as a warning to others before dealing with this outfit. You might think dealing with a brick-and-mortar store is safer than internet transactions. But beware...
