I started going to Floss Dental Care about two months ago. My initial visit was wonderful. The front desk staff greeted me and made me feel at ease. The entire staff also made me feel that way. Dr Cannon was phenomenal. She explained everything completely and answered all of my questions. On my second visit I had to have a tooth removed. I was so nervous as I didnt know what to expect. The Dental Assistant and Dr Cannon made me feel so at ease. Dr Cannon was professional, thorough, and cared about how I was feeling through the whole experience. The next day it was if I never had a tooth removed the previous day with swelling completely gone and no pain at all. I would highly recommend this dental office to all of my family and friends.

Been going here for a couple of years now I really like this dentist they are more friendly and informative than some other dentist offices I’ve had bad experiences with. Jessica is a great hygienist she was so gentle when doing my cleaning, and Dr. Cannon is the best she’s done some great work in the past on my teeth.

The staff is very caring and they all make you feel comfortable. Timing has been great, but if you need an urgent visit timing can be off. If that was explained to me I would not have minded, but it wasnt and my wait was much longer than the typical 5 minutes. Overall, Ive had a great experience. I finally found a dental practice where I will continue going.

Soooooo I made dental appointments for the entire family but Mia needed an exam for school quick!My insurance sent me a list of dentists in my area. I picked the first one & IT WAS THE BEST ONE!!First, if your appointment is far away and you need one closer, they will put on a call list just in case some cancels which happened today for Mia. They called at 12pm and was able to go at 3pm.She was also able to get her exam & cleaning on the same day! For some reason they do cleaning one day & exams other day but it all worked out where she could get both today!Lastly, everyone was nice and helpful! The best part of it all is that our dentist is black & female! Dr. Michelle Cannon is her name! She was patient with Mia, explained everything in detail, knowledgeable & made her feel so comfortable!It was a great experience because the front staff was just top notch especially Jackie! I wanted to see an itemized bill of everything and she provided it for me for Mia’s next two appointments!I left feeling happy and you know no one leaves the dentist office happy right?!Good people!! 10/10 would recommend!

Finally a dentist with good bed side manners, professional, and knows what she is doing. I instantly got a good vibe from Dr. Cannon and her assistant Evelyn. It was such a breath of fresh air to finally find a dentist and assistant that knows what they are doing and took great care to be mindful of keeping me and them safe and clean.

I was looking for a different yet great experience after being a patient at my former family dentist for so long. This was my first visit to Floss Dental in Homewood. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised to find the office bright, updated and very welcoming. The staff at the front was friendly, professional, and had done everything they could to make sure that I felt safe and comfortable in the reception area.Dr. Ryann Maloney, a more recent addition to their team, made me feel at ease from the moment I took my seat in her chair. Her confident and easy going manner relieved any stress I might have been feeling. I have never been so relaxed at a dental appointment!A full set of X-rays were taken with their state- of- the- art imaging and Dr. Ryann gave me a very comprehensive explanation of what I was seeing. She immediately detected something that had been overlooked by my previous dentist, and by removing it, was able to alleviate the inflammation and discomfort I had been experiencing for years!I highly recommend Floss Dental and Dr. Ryann. I am a long time patient at Floss and had a wonderful experience at my last dental appointment. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with kindness and respect. The front desk ladies greeted me with a smile, took my temperature, and asked me covid screening questions. This made me feel extremely safe to know they have been taking extra measures to ensure safety for their patients. My hygienist updated xrays and gum measurements. She was extremely thorough in her cleaning, leaving me feeling minty fresh!I normally see Dr. Cannon, who I absolutely love, but this time I was introduced to their newest doctor, Dr. Ryan. She was very warm and professional. She offered full explanations for her treatment recommendations and was happy to answer my questions. She has a wealth of knowledge and is eager to share. Dec. 10, 2020, I went to my scheduled dental appointment at Floss Dental Care to see my Dental Hygienist, Marta. Marta is very professional, polite and friendly. She thoroughly examined and cleaned each of my teeth. Afterwards, I thanked and told Marta how clean and fresh my mouth felt. I highly recommend Floss Dental Care to help you maintain good dental health. Floss Dental Care has professional and friendly staff and, the premises are very clean.

Dr. Maloney is amazing. During the initial exam I was told I needed 1 tooth pulled and 2 root canals. She drilled into one of the teeth she previously thought I needed a root canal for and cleared out the decay. She said she would be able to fill the tooth instead and save me some money. What dentist does that!! She saved me sooo much money just by taking a closer look. The staff and assistants are also amazing, and the assistants remember your name. I dont want to go anywhere else, best dentist-hygienist team Ive ever had.

Some time back, I visited this dentist office. I intended for this to be my regular dentist for the next few years. I was told I needed quite a bit of work done, if I can recall correctly-7 fillings. This was shocking to me, as I had maintained regular care elsewhere before this time and had sealants put in to prevent cavities, along with regular brushing. I was so taken aback by the extent of the work they recommended that I never returned. I actually put off going to a dentist until this year because that visit was so alarming to me.Yesterday was my first visit to a dentist since then, I have 1 cavity and no other work is recommended-this was nearly 5 years after the dentist at Floss recommended all those fillings.Please be aware that offices will say you have cavities or need work to get money, since often times patients dont know better. Follow your gut, get second opinions. I would NOT recommend this office to friends and family in the South Suburbs of Chicago.

Dr. Cannon was very knowledgeable and helpful and ensured that I understood everything she was doing and what to expect moving forward while giving me pros and cons to each possible treatment plan. Floss Dental Care in Homewood, IL is a terrific choice in dental care. The staff are kind, patient, highly trained, and the environment is actually quite relaxing. Ive never liked going to the dentist before, but this place is so exceptional, I now take better care of my teeth! They also have a dental discount plan if you dont have dental health insurance. Very reasonable. And the staff is flexible with working out payment plans, when needed. Highly recommended.

Love it here. Been coming here with my family for a few years now. The staff is professional and kind. I have issues with dental anxiety and they are so good with it. They make sure I am comfortable and take good care of me.My kids like the tvs in the exam rooms to while getting their teeth cleaned.Clean place, with no doors in the exam rooms, helps feel less closed in. The exrays are done in the rooms as well.Would recommend to anyone looking for a good dentist.

Walking in I was taken away by the updated finishes and aesthetics of the office. I was also greeted and taken care of in a timely fashion with welcoming vibes. The dental hygienist was the best Ive come across yet, she was very professional and informative. The Dr. was also very helpful and she left me with information needed to keep things going well, as well as bettering them. First time appointment went great! my lo was so relaxed and really enjoyed getting her teeth cleaned, no crying and absolutely no fuss. Older child enjoyed too, best dental experience he said!

Poor attitude from the time I walked in to the unprofessional greeting I received from the doctor. Bed side manner is VERY poor.

I have been a patient for 3 years and have always had a positive experience until my last visit, May 21, 2019. The greeting from the front desk receptionist should have been a sign for me to walk back out the door. When I walked in, she didnt ask my name to check me in or say good morning, only said have a seat. My appointment for a cleaning was done by Krista who was great for conversation but her cleaning skills were a bit rough, painful and messy. Also, the new dentist, Dr. Stephanie N., was very cold, scripted, and could careless. Quite frankly, she seemed irritated to be there. She barely spent one minute examining my teeth. I usually see Dr. Cannon and a different hygienist...Nina. Dr. Cannon was unavailable and during this visit I noticed the office environment was a lot less friendly and welcoming in her absence. If Dr. Cannon isnt going to be available for my next appointment, Im seeking services elsewhere. I have referred at least a few coworkers and friends who are now patients. I wont be referring anyone else at this time.

I expected so much more after reading the other reviews. The front desk staff is pleasant and my hygienist was good, but the dentist spent a total of 5 minutes with me. As a new patient my expectation is to feel like a priority. I had to ask what treatments I needed and then was told they would explain more at the front desk. Initially I made a follow up appointment, but after much consideration I will be looking for another office.

Went in for the first time and had the best experience! Everyone was so friendly, they had appointments the same day. My kids each saw a different hygienist, Michelle and Martha they both made my kids feel very comfortable, they were so professional and extremely nice. The dentist Dr. Hubbard took her time and examned them thoroughly. I definitely recommend this place, I will be referring all my family here.

If I could give no stars I would. I have been trying for months (close to a full year!) to get an implant completed, however the office has needed to send the tooth back twice because it does not fit correctly. I have called back several times to follow up with no reply. In addition the front desk is unprofessional flipping from English to Spanish and Spanish to English when they dont want a patient to know what they are saying or when they want to say something inappropriate. Call backs dont seem to happen and if they do no message is left with a number to call back. I definately agree with the other reviewers, that state the doctor does not spend quality time with her patients. I have asked about a tooth that seems to trap food, but still no fix for this situation. Overall, I am very disappointed in the downward quality of care given at this office since they have changed names to Floss. Perhaps this is to be expected when things are changed from a hometown dentist to a corporate chain. So very disappointed.

I was a long time client of Dr. Ann Mazzotti; and when Dr Michelle Hubbard took over the practice a couple years ago, several of the hygienists stayed on, so I did too. After 2 years of being a customer post-change, I can definitely recommend Floss Dental. I have found Dr. Hubbard to be very professional and friendly; and most importantly, very knowledgeable. No, she has not spent an inordinate amount of time with me, but I take that as a good sign. I noticed the changes that she has made in the past couple of years to bring some diversity among the staff and also put her own personal touches, aesthetically, to the office. I saw a couple of negative reviews about Krista, which I was shocked to see. She has been around for many years, and is actually my favorite hygienist. I haven’t had any negative experience with her (or any of the staff). In fact, I make it a point to have my appointments on days when Krista is available.

Me and my younger brother have been going to Floss Dental Care for years and the visit I received yesterday on July 13 was terrible. The lady who did my cleaning, Christa was very rough and messy with my cleaning. After she was cleaning my teeth, I could taste the blood from my gums inside of my mouth. Then, as she proceeded to check my teeth, she noticed that one tooth had something wrong with it and every time she would touch at it, it caused pain to my mouth. After I told her it kept causing pain, she continued to touch at it. Also, when she was rinsing out my mouth, she was very messy with it, she splashed water all across my face and over 17 years, that has never happened before. I don’t know what happened to the old staff, but Floss lost its family feel. I wasn’t welcomed into the office with a greeting like I normally am. Normally, the people who clean my teeth ask me what do I want to watch on TV. She never asked me that question at all.

Both doctors and the team run like a well oiled machine! It is always a pleasure going to see them and who says that about going to dentist!? I wouldnt trust anyone else with my dental health! They even have coffee for me while I am in the waiting room!

If you are looking for a dentist in the Homewood area and are considering Floss Dental Care, look elsewhere. Their hours are very inconvenient for work schedules and they are closed 3 days a week. Dr. Hubbard probably spent a total of 10 minutes during my visits unless there was a procedure to get done in which she could drain your benefits. This office felt more like a sales environment then caring for patients.
